So with Wrathstone on the way as the first part of the "Year of the Dragon" (it's actually pig but whatever), I was thinking that maybe I should get it. Then a concept popped into my mind: I clear all the (vanilla) dungeons to get Eolan back into Dungeon-ing.

But

Problem: It's been years since I've bothered to keep up with the game's mechanics. The dungeon overhaul from...One Tamriel?...means that "Veteran Dungeon" is no longer synonymous with "Dungeon Episode 2" which is great for someone that just wants to clear them.

Either way, I'm not sure I wanna revive Templar Tank just yet. idk

I await the free tokens this monday

I don't think I've done a Pledge or Trial since all these events started running me ragged last September. It would be really hard to get back into that swing of things, that is sure! (but if I do try to = it will def be with a Tank, lol).

Put those name change tokens to good use.

Holy Cow, Lucius is Luscious! laugh.gif

I've got two characters I plan to morph; just trying to decide what into. Both are Imperial NightBlades right now; (but I have a glut of Imperial NightBlades; so can afford to get rid of one). Just wanted to try something different.

I also have a young Imperial DK I was raising up as a test to try out different builds on (so I don't mess up Britta) = might make her into a Nord; they have really tweaked them into making a good Tank with this patch.

monkeyemoness
I'm planning on using the race change tokens as appearance change tokens, but I don't have a good reason to use them yet and I don't wanna waste them. At least you get a set for each server, so I DID get to use one on the EU server. That I rarely play lol
mALX

Holy Cow, I never even considered using the EU server instead of the PTS! That was good thinking; and your game won't disappear every time they snap a new image like it does on the PTS!!!!

By the way; has anyone had trouble with their addons since the patch? (and if yes, which ones?). I just turned mine on today in anticipation of visiting Haute's house tomorrow!!!! WOO HOO!

I spent the weekend tying up loose ends.

When Bo gave Cat Man Dhou his tank gear back, we noted the lack of decent sword and board. He was using placeholder items while we waited for Plague Doctor stuff to drop, but now was the time to go get some. So Trey had reminded us about Lady Llarel as a souce of a shield, and CMD paid her a visit, to see if she'd produce. "This one thinks the lady was a centipede. She dropped at least a dozen pairs of boots/shoes/sabatons, and several belts/sashes/girdles, but not one shield."

He did buy a Plague Doctor Mace fairly cheaply, and we're improving that for him. Of course we ran out of the purple temper, after making Bo's stuff, so there was a lot of foraging for Rubedite after that.

The Stamblades both got a re-spec to select different morphs, and drop a few unused skills in favour of crafting ones. Minx really needs a few more skill points, so she's due for a skyshard hunt.

Laurie is getting a second set of sword and board, as she never seems to use her back bar weapon, and the Alcast build doesn't either. Putting S&B on both means we can slot a few more skills she does use.

Floozie just completed the equipment level 50's, so now Bo gets all the deconstruction pieces, and I don't need to think about that aspect any more. It won't be long before she gets to the 50's.

ETA: We got some more grain solvent and upgraded CMD's mace to gold. But then Laurie got a second sword that she needs upgraded, and we're back in the same situation again. We have lots of the gold level ones, but the purples get used by a lot of furnishings, too, and master writs often stop at Epic, using purples, but not golds. We may buy a few of each of the purple level tempers - grain solvent, mastic, and elegant lining - so we're ready for a few other swaps.
ghastley
The word for the weekend was "bow". I got both Unna and Minx to level 50 in bow, and started work with Blossom.

Since Blossom had parked Wrothgar for lack of bow skill, we resumed that after she moved up a couple of levels and got some useful skills in place. Now she only has the last two quests of that line to complete. The penultimate one she's started, and it's the climax of the line, with the last just being a simple fetch quest, and turning up for the ceremony. Should get that wrapped tonight.

Unna noticed the difference when she completed bow, and got back to regular combat using both bars. She had Razak's wheel as an unfinished quest nagging at her, so we went and finished it off. There was almost nobody there, so she was solo against the bosses, which was much easier than we'd expected. Of course, I may have my timing a bit better these days.

Minx is exploring, going to zones she hasn't before, and finding all the wayshrines. That gets a lot of XP fast, so she burned through most of our Enlightenment doing that. It's good for everyone's CP, though.

---

ETA: Blossom did get Wrothgar quest line finished, so we can concentrate on housing for a while, or at least foraging for materials for housing.

Hit the Ticket cap again, so today i'm wondering whether getting another Indrik mount is worth it. I've been getting the berries just in case but I have my eyes set exclusively on the Snow one.
TheCheshireKhajiit
Khajiit has pretty much given up on evolving the Indrik mount. We are now 2 events behind and this one doubts he’ll be able to catch up with the Jester’s Festival. sad.gif
Acadian
Buffy is only looking for one variant and that happens to be the first (Dawnwood) one. She's got the basic indrik, three berries and 8 tix. So a couple more daily heists and I think she'll be ready to get the last berry and be done on day one of the Jester Fest. Thing is, I don't think her precious mare, Superian, is in jeopardy of being replaced by an indrik. wink.gif

What does Sir Acadian ride? They don't have a dragon mount yet.

On my team, Unna has her white bear at last, Blossom has the Palomino, Laurie rides a camel, Cat Man Dhou uses the Sorrel, as does Taminwe. Spreads has a guar, Wizwen a white wolf (not just for the alliteration),Minx the black lion senche, Floozie a regular lion senche, and Bo has the Imperial grey. We might get a distinct mount for CMD or Taminwe, but it will be a horse. None of them want an Indrik, so we're ignoring the tickets.

Edit: Cat Man Dhou tells me he could consider a dwemer spider, if it became available.
Acadian
Acadian rides a heavily armored palomino version of Superian. As you recall, Superian the mare and Phantom the dragon did 'merge' in Buffy's last book so it seems to work.
ghastley
As detailed in the Guild thread, Laurie added a dock to Hunding's to try and provoke some interest in fishing. Cat Man Dhou likes to eat fish, so he volunteered to try it.

So far he has a total of one rare fish, but he did catch two examples of it. He's now looking for the Ocean in Reaper's March. biggrin.gif

All the others have been doing catch-up work, like visiting zones they've never been to before, and finding all the wayshrines. They all have orders to forage as they go, to get more materials for furnishing. Some new quests have inevitably been started, and some even finished. I need to think more about bar swaps when that happens, as several have less-used skills needing a morph.

Bo is annoyingly close to finishing her equipment crafting levelling. She's got Clothier and Woodworking to 50, but Blacksmith is at 49 and a half. Her ranks have been keeping up, as she's been able to put the points that would have gone into a second weapon line into crafting. Bow/Bow has that advantage, at least, and she's not feeling any lack of close-up offence.

I'm still wasting time trying to determine why Floozie always faces the camera when in a menu. She's the only one of my crew that does it, and I can't find any different setting.

----

Laurie will have to get back to Master Writs. I just found out that the Chiminea plans are at Rolis for Writ Vouchers only, It's not a crafting station, like everyone hoped, but it's still must-have for her.
Acadian
Buffy always spins around to face the camera when I go into a menu like inventory. I didn't know there was any way to change that or, if so, what would change it.

*

Buffy's done with the TG/DB event. She did a TG Heist each day and brought her tix counter back to 12/12 today after buying berry #3 at the beginning of the event. For the Heist quests, she viewed the concept of trying to mix stealth with speed as a dumb idea / nonstarter. So she treated it like any daily delve quest and killed anything that impeded her as she hunted for the necessary quest bobbles.

I told her that the next event is the Jester Festival that I believe (unconfirmed) runs Mar 21 - Apr 2.
ghastley
With everyone's equipment crafting at 50, it has become time to bring up the consumables skills, and raise the crafting ranks across the board. I already had several characters with individual top-rank crafting skills, but many are still making iron/homespun/maple, or sips of potion, etc. My first characters have had longer, so they've done it all, and the new ones haven't invested in combat skills they never slot, so it's the ones in the middle that need attention. They have unspent reset scrolls from the level-up rewards that could be used to redirect their existing skill points, but I suspect we'll be wanting some skyshards, too.

Acadian
So Buffy bought her 4th Dawnwood berry and transformed her indrik. Looks nice but will now rest with the rest of the unused mounts. She then did one of each of the three Jester quests just to remind herself how they work. And, of course, the first one of the day gave her two tix bringing her counter back up to 4/12.

She noticed - with more than a little annoyance - folks throwing pies at each other. She already dislikes them as much as mudballs. That said, she loves to throw flowers at folks.

monkeyemoness
I hate the weird textures they put on people tbh
Makes them look like weird jerky or trees

That aside, today it seemed to force Jo to do them "out of order". As in, I was forced to do the Daggerfall one first so the Ebonheart one was right in the middle, even though I took the quest from Vulkhel Guard. Gross. Better not be the same thing tomorrow.

Isn't there something we are supposed to be able to eat for extra XP? I can't remember what it is we are supposed to be having.

I got two of the Cadwell's style motifs today; but after today I only plan to do one of the quests per day for the Event tickets. (Though I might HAVE to throw pies if there is an achievement for it, lol).

Yeah, Monkey = not thrilled with how it looks when it hits, there sure is a lot of berry juice in those pies! It covers the entire character!!!

There should be a pie in your collections that gives you the EXP boost.

So how 'bout that Jester's Festival

I am NOT doing all 3 quests daily anymore holy hell

Turns out that you only get the special boxes from EACH QUEST, regardless of what character you do it with. I've already stated my opinion on the Daggerfal quest lmao
Acadian
Here's Buffy's impressions of the three Jester quests:

Aldmeri Dominion - easy and simple, no real downside.

Ebonheart Pack - quickest of the three but she finds it too. . . dumb/nonsensical to enjoy.

Daggerfall Covenant - By far the longest of the three but, nevertheless, Buffy's fave for the following reasons:
- Two delve clears and not even crowded since the quest seems to be unpopular due to quest length and amount of running around.
- A convenient WB right outside one of the delves.
- Setting off sparklies into the sky!
So, basically, getting to kill stuff trumps speed/ease in Buffy's book. laugh.gif

That said, after doing each quest one time on day one, she has settled into just doing the DC quest once each day.

SPEW !!! I LOVE the drawing!!! Urgh, I didn't see the new Achievement. Looks like I'll have to get a bounty, urgh.

monkeyemoness
The good news is that you don't get a bounty from throwing pies at guards. Even if there's a rock in em

You WILL still get a bounty from beaning the Alliance leaders in the face with em. (They're gonna fix it soon so hitting them with a pie won't be as annoying, too)
haute ecole rider
Mac got into the spirit of the Jesters Festival and pelted 10 Altmer guards, the two Kings and the Queen, and then went off to Cyrodiil and killed a few guildies covered in pie (from other alliances) and was in turn killed a few times herself - we helped each other to what was potentially the most difficult achievement for Maz (since she doesn't PVP). One of the guildies was also a Grand Overlord, so she got that alliance achievement as well. tongue.gif
ghastley
I've been using the XP pie mostly, and taking advantage of everyone else's concentration on the festival sites. So Blossom got her bow skill up to 50 at last, and several of the others raised crafting ranks by collecting skyshards while their related quests count double. Nearly everyone has the Master achievements for L50, but their ranks are were way down. I'm no longer sure what is the best strategy for material use. I was keeping some low-rank to avoid competition for the ruby mats, but now the writs return some, it's all changed.

Ayrenn got pied just as I was turning in one of the alliance quests, and she turned purple instead of the usual pie red. Is that specific to the target, or do some pies have a different filling? I may throw a few mudballs, just to confuse folks, if it's the latter.

Of course, doing quests while gathering skyshards has advanced a few skills that now need more skill points to morph them, and I don't think we're any closer to having all we need. But everyone feels stronger now. tongue.gif

Bo was trying to raise her FG a bit more, so we went off to Forgotten Crypts to kill skellies. On the way she found the dolmen open, and ploughed in before noticing she was alone. First solo dolmen for her! On the flip side, Minx got into the same situation in Reaper's March, except that the dolmen had been abandoned with a full complement of daedra. She was overwhelmed quickly, and after a couple of resurrections, others turned up.

ETA: I noticed when tidying up the loot that Bo collected from Forgotten Crypts, that she'd collected two Plague Doctor shields, just because Cat Man Dhou already has the one he wanted. We've never provoked Lady Llarel to drop hers, in countless attempts. She only has shoes, still.
Acadian
Buffy'a happy to report that she has a Dawnwood indrik mount, little Dawnwood indrik pet and is back up to 12/12 on her tix counter with nothing else she wants to spend tix on at this point. The mount and pet are nice but certainly will never replace Superian and Kitsune.

She also completed the Elsweyr prequel and is enjoying the short/fun little daily quests available after doing the prequel.
Grits
It should not come as a shock that Jerric loves the Jester quests. Pie throwing is also right in his wheelhouse. He was disappointed to find that the guards did not chase him after being pied. His sense of justice demands that he experience a consequence from sassing authority.

Jerric is wearing his faceprint, crown, and a kilt. A pig accompanies him on his daily festive rounds. Tomorrow he should be able to acquire the little indrik pet for Lildereth. After that he doesn’t have a plan for tickets other than two more indrik feathers to pick up another brown one some day. There’s talk of an indrik forest at one of their Bosmer campsite homes, but since no one in the crew seems interested in decorating, that may just be talk.

I'm looking forward to the prequel quests!
mALX

Urgh, I had twelve Event Tickets and forgot to spend the ten of them before eating the cake today; so those two I got today were wasted.

Well, I needed the berries, but forgot to get them first. I did get them afterward, too late for those two Event Tickets though.

Has anyone gotten the Dawnwood Indirik pet? I wondered what kind of animations it had.

Acadian
Buffy has the Dawnwood indrik pet. It is cute. It has a nice bluish animated aura around it. Buffy adventured with it this morning to check it out. Animations are not impressive. It spontaneously reared once. It does look around a little bit. That's all she saw as far as idles/animations.
ghastley
The Prophet style pages have been really annoying. Twice now, one of my characters has received the same page in two consecutive boxes. Can you do anything with a duplicate other than destroy it?

On the plus side, we're getting a steady stream of regular motif pages, and Laurie is passing the duplicates down to Blossom. So we're holding off from buying any for master writs until the event is over. With all the crew doing crafting every day, the master writs are also coming in well, and we've done several Alchemy and Enchanting ones for 2-5 vouchers a time. The equipment ones have all wanted Potent Nirncrux or unknown styles, so they're on hold for now.

We have enough vouchers for another attuned table, if it's going to be needed.

In other news, since the double XP thing is on, Unna decided to do the FG quests (if only to silence Bera Moorsmith), so we completed that series. Several of my other characters need to do more FG stuff, as they want the Dawnbreaker skill. I can't decide if the FG dailies are worth doing, as they often send you to the unpopular zones where you're trying to solo the dolmens, after riding across half the map to get there.

Same here, I got 5 Prophet Robe pages in one day.
Acadian
Buffy's had really good luck with the Prophet bits. She has bought 4 pieces only as necessary to drop her tix count down from 12. In the meantime, doing 1 - 3 writs per day has garnered her 3 more pieces and - best of all - no duplicates! The only piece to go is the hood. So she's dropping back to her normal one provisioning writ per day since she literally has nothing to spend her tix on when they get back up to 12 from eating cake each day.

She will happily let extra tix drop off into Aetherius soon and call this event both successful and complete.

Regarding duplicate Prophet motifs, can they be put in the guild bank I wonder?

Tidbit for healers: The Soul Shriven and Prophet staves are both simple sticks and rustically neat in their own way. The healing staff idle animation is to stand with the butt of the staff on the ground. The Soul Shriven staff is defectively short and its butt sits several inches above the ground when idle - looks unacceptably silly to Buffy. The Prophet's staff, on the other hand sits properly on the ground and Buffy finds it therefore a viable option to consider on her healing staff.
ghastley
I'll have to see if I got the staves already. My healers like the Nord style for the Resto, as it's kind of Caduceus-like, but we're open to persuasion. There's no consensus on a style for Destro staves, and an innocuous one might appeal for the "stealth" factor.

We're doing 60 crafting writs/day, for the regular motif pages. There are Summerset chapter ones included (and the style mats etc) that we can't get without buying them.

I also noticed that we have a couple of surveys in Summerset, but I suspect we got those before this event. I'll hang on to them until it downgrades to a DLC, as we have the space for small quantities. If they start flooding in, the Guild Bank will benefit.
Grits
Since they can’t be banked, I’ve been using the mail system to bounce duplicate Prophet motifs back to myself so that I can pick them up as necessary on any character. That way when someone says that they want one in chat I can go to my mail and get it to send to them immediately rather than scratching my head over which character has which motif stuck in their inventory. (I just assumed that they couldn’t be put in any bank, but I didn’t try the Guild bank.)

Right now I have Prophet robe, sandals, breeches, and shawl to give away if anyone wants them.

I’m a fan of the whole Prophet look. Especially the staff.
ghastley
As style pages, they're account-wide already, so mailing them between characters on one account is probably pointless. However, it does suggest that they could be mailed to another player. We should test it.

I know they can't be placed into a storage container in a house. I got my first on Bo, who wanted to pass any style/motif stuff to Laurie, so she tried to use the "mailbox" chest. No go. I didn't try passing via banker, as they usually have the same restrictions.

Send me something random, and I'll see if I can use it. I don't think I have robe yet, but I can't remember what I picked up to use up the tickets. With no interest in Indriks, it appears this is the only other sink.

"Finally, Outfit Style pages purchased with Event Tickets cannot be traded." on the ESO site implies that ones not purchased can be traded?
monkeyemoness
I've just been tossing the Prophet style pages starting on the second day of the event tbh. I got them all pretty quickly, and there's so many out there that their value is pretty much dead (plus they don't stack in your inventory and can't be banked)

On the outfit itself, I'm surprised to find out that the Prophet had a matching pair of pajama bottoms under his robe. This whole time I assumed he was pantsless. :v

Anyway, I'm more concerned about getting Welkynar motifs (as they're the most expensive right now) as well as Silver Dawn and Huntsman (just so I don't have to buy them myself). No luck with Welkynar so far, but I did get one of each of the other two so there's that.

Oh, that's right. I also ended up screeching for a while when I got this last night with the annual It's Another Crafter. Might make another for the last few days (and to have it ready for the last week)
Grits
The ones you get from the gift boxes can be traded or mailed to another player (ghastley, I mailed you a robe), just not passed around within one account. Turns out they can also be Guild banked just like the Rune Boxes. I stuck a few in the Chorrolite bank. Funnily enough I have not gotten another hood. (Yet.)

The mail bounce I mentioned is with another player who is cooperating. You send them a mail titled something like “Prophet Sandals RTS,” and they return it to you unopened. Then you have the returned mail with its attachment available from your mailbox for… 30 days? It’s useful for quickly handing out free rune boxes from any character during these events. It’s very useful for getting things out of your inventory when you’re deep in Cyrodiil and Tythis won’t come get your loot.

monkey, what great luck with your naked crafter! Congratulations! That may be the best possible drop from craftapalooza!
ghastley
I got the robe from Grits successfully, and of course the very next crafting writ gave me a duplicate. But we do now know they can be mailed, if anyone finds they have a gap at the end of the week. I suspect they are the new jester's banner, though.

We're getting five or six motif pages and about the same number of furnishing plans from each day's anniversary crafting boxes, so Laurie and Blossom are learning well. And since my crew all are L50 in each craft, we're getting a decent number of master writs coming in, although they're mostly the small ones. The furnishing plans have included Murkmire ones, and so far haven't duplicated anything Laurie knew. I don't recall if any were better than blue.

No blockbuster rewards here, just steady progress.

ghastley
We hit max tickets again this weekend, so spent some on Lyris pages, and as it turned out, made the right choices. Decided not to buy the chest, and got that page from an anniversary box in the next round of delves. I think we now have the set, as well as a lot of Trinimac and Malacath pages, but no Briarheart rings. Lyris pages aren't the inventory-clogging oversupply that the Prophet ones were, probably because you can't do delves as fast as you can crafting. I suspect the Abnur Tharn and Sai Sahan ones will be significantly rarer, and we may have to get those as a team.

My crew were doing Undaunted delves (for the Undaunted passives) and the two dailies in Wrothgar (for the Briareart drops). The World Bosses had a decent amount of players waiting for them to respawn, so no solo heroics were needed (although I did have to charge in and start things a couple of times - nobody wants to be the first). We got a lot of Briarheart pieces, but no rings. RNG knows what you want.

All the double XP is raising our CP nicely, too.

Almost! She’s about to hike across the Rift on an Undaunted delve daily. That might put her over the top. She got most of the way through her 40s doing the mountain of Alchemy Master Writs that I had saved up.

Jerric’s crew hasn’t gotten any Lyris pages in their gift boxes, but they’ve only done a handful due to me being busy and the delves taking a while. They will probably buy at least the chest and legs from what’s-her-name using tickets. I haven’t checked guild stores yet, but I’m guessing these are expensive.

As soon as we determined that we had all the Lyris pages, they started appearing in every anniversary gift box. Let me know what you need!

We have managed one Briarheart ring, blue but robust, from doing both the Wrothgar dailies on as many characters as I have time for. Some of the time also has to go for the Undaunted daily delve, as everyone needs the passives, and several of the crew are still only rank 3. At one point we had a complete set of Briartheart to deconstruct, apart from jewels - i.e. a piece for each armour slot, plus weapon and shield.
