Lol, looking at all those clothesless Nords looking for Jerric! Come to think of it, I think I also have only seen men wearing that white wedding dress.

Women like to make an impression that is unique to them; which is why they won't wear the same dress as another woman ... and why they would never dare try to compete with a big burly bearded man in one! Which would you remember? The one who makes the greatest impression would always be the man,

Acadian, I love that about our elves, too. It's also struck me that while Lil hides her heart, Jerric is the one who wears his on his sleeve. It makes Buffy all the more endearing to me.

Thank you, Acadian! I think of these snapshots as magical between-the-worlds moments, so it's fun for me to see what happens.
SubRosa, thank you! That was my most intensely emotional game experience with Lil. I didn't know if she would ever find peace in her story, but now I see what it will take for her.
hazmick, I love the Templar skills. They just feel so righteous.

What does Templar Ciri hit people with?
hautee, my crew all rely on provisions to beef up their attribute pools. They use the drinks for specific situations, but mostly they all use food. And of course they all learn the basic recipes so they can cook when they're traveling. I love that you can catch a fish and turn it into a meal.
mALX, those Nords must be in a naked boots-and-beard guild, lol. That looks like a fun party!

Still think the Dragonknight build is a good pick for my Mazul. She just joined the Fighter's Guild.
Hazmick, I keep thinking about you every time I talk to Sees Many Colors. Someone said Argonians in this game are beautiful. I have to agree - I've always liked them since Oblivion, especially for their coloration. But the expressions in ESO make them especially compelling to talk to!
Progression for my two ladies have slowed down since the launch of the iPhone 7 has required my presence for longer hours at work. Still, I manage to log on daily at least long enough to buy more horse storage for each character . . .
And today the Crown Store had a sale on bag inventory space, so I picked up a set for each. Now both have over 100 carrying capacities. Too bad the bank isn't keeping up, but we have almost enough gold stashed in the bank to buy the next upgrade soooo . . .

It would most definitely work. I think all the Templar abilities are magicka based anyway, and staff damage scales off magicka. Light armour should work too, with its magicka bonuses. Templar is a really mage-y class, with some great damage-dealing spells and the best healing in the game.
Haute -

Colors is a great character, and Argonians are more beautiful than ever in ESO - I love all the water metaphors they throw into conversation, it gives me loads of stuff to work into my own stories. The Fighters Guild questline is pretty good, plenty of things for Mazul to hit with a good storyline mixed in.

Thanks, hazmick. That is encouraging. Buffy is interested in trying out destruction staves but she is pure stamina. Great bow damage and bow skills and enough magicka to summon Spike. It seems a staff mage would be almost the same as Buffy the bow sorc except be all magicka. Too similar, actually; that is why the concept of a magicka templar intrigues. Instead of Spike, she'd have to rely on some of that aedric spearing and self healing to compensate. Still in the concept stage.

Acadian, you have just described Aninah. This playstyle is just glorious. Jerric is presently leveling Destruction Staves (while using sword and board/ greatsword) so he can re-spec and take a turn at magicka-based Templar with an ice staff, that's how awesome it is. Templar self-healing is strong from the very beginning, even Stamina-based, melee Jerric has been able to rely on it. Mage-ranger Aninah rarely needs to heal herself, but when she gets stuck with numerous foes she can get through it by herself. I think you are making a great plan.
Another favorite Argonian expression is "Stay moist." Jerric had to bite his cheek the first time a grateful Argonian called him "Moist One." He is generally awed by the mystical Saxhleel folk.
Lildereth has started using her fear spell along with Mark Target and her bow. She finally feels like herself. Her skill set is stealthy and manipulative, and I doubted that it would ever come together. My other Stamina Nightblade uses the melee-type Nightblade abilities with dual daggers, and he has been easy to play from level 1. The last thing Lil needs to get is the Summon Shade ability, but she's getting by without it. I think she is going to be able to go solo through a lot of things that now she has to wait around for backup to do. Whew!

I had a bad fall early this morning and twisted my foot quite badly. That meant I had to call out from work (can't work if my leg feels like it's going to buckle again). So I spent the day with Julian - we had fun finishing up in Stormhaven. She is now Level 24 and getting much more comfortable about taking on the bosses. She is still cautious, and still sneaks a lot, but no longer panics when she sees two enemies together. Her Siphoning skills are quite powerful. She also picked up a neat set of Argonian greaves that really show a lot of her legs, and a cuirass that is stronger than her Death's Wind set that mALX made for her. It's kind of a mishmash right now, but Mazul has promised to craft a better set once she gets the traits researched.
I'm heading back to Glenumbra tonight to bring Mazul through the last of the Glenumbra quests. She has Cath Bedraud and Crosswych left to do. She is at Level 14, about ready to level up.

We also accepted an invite to a guild, though it has only just started and thus has no guild trader or anything yet. To top it all off, Saturday our washing machine broke in the middle of my mom's laundry.
Tried to get it working again (it wasn't draining the water, and I figured how to drain it manually and clean the drain filter) - no dice. Suspect the drain motor is out. It's a 10 year old machine so Mom and I have been back and forth all weekend on whether to repair it or replace it.
Chatted online with the machine's support and turns out that it is indeed at the end of its service life, so now we're going to shop around for a good deal and try to get it replaced within the week. We'll see how things go . . .
But at least the foot is getting better and I'll be returning to work later today.

My crew has given up questing until the next update, and it is a blast. I might even get Darnand outside to roam around a little. He has about two dozen alchemy and enchanter survey reports stuffed down in the bottom of his satchel. This could be a good time to go gather some more stuff.

I found out that Misa is only missing 12 skyshards of what she is capable of getting without buying Orsinium or the IC DLC. That is/equals 4 more skill points. Jerric is finally wearing his starter set of Pelinal's Aptitude gear, and it's pretty neat. His weapon damage dropped due to giving up an Agility set piece and swapping some medium armor for heavy since those are the only Pelinal's pieces that anyone on Team Jerric can craft right now, but his spell damage went up to meet it. It was truly awesome to feel like a battlemage for the first time in ESO.
Lildereth is still many months away from being able to craft five pieces in medium armor, so in the meantime he's asked her to go find a Hunding's Rage station and make him five try-me pieces (so as not to waste the rubedo leather) of that. He'll have to decide between Morihaus and Hunding's to pair with the Pelinal's. This will not be easy. He loves to roll through a crowd and knock them down like bowling pins, which is the fun feature of the Morihaus set. But the Hunding's
should make a noticeable difference in both sword and spells.
Best thing, so far it seems that his favorite buff Major Brutality (increase weapon damage 20%) also works on spell damage with Pelinal's equipped. Oh my gosh, folks. He needs to play with it for much longer before he commits the materials to make his level gear, but it looks like this is everything I'd hoped it would be for him. Battlemage! Woo!!

Fortunately, as of yesterday, we have enough pieces of both the Briarheart and Morihaus sets for Haa-Rei and Cirinwe respectively to get the set bonuses! As for Ciri, she finished up the questline in Shadowfen and moved on to Eastmarch (though I just realised that I've missed a quest in Shadowfen. Oops). I hear you about running two characters!
I purchased the Imperial Edition of ESO, so I thought I'd be set. Then they come out with the Guilds and Glory sale, so I got that, too. Happened to have a good payday, so . . .
The ESO+ subscription is less and less appealing. The Bag O' Crafting is just about the only thing I would want from it, and on my budget, 15 simoleons a month is a bit rich. So, no.
I spent some time with Julian yesterday exploring Rivenspire and moving through the Covenant quest line. It's an interesting process, what with giant bats, big spiders (look out, SubRosa!), blood fiends and vampires. Though what's the difference between a blood fiend and a zombie escapes me at the moment. I'm sure it'll become clear by the time Julian finishes the Rivenspire quests.
Just before I had to log off to head out to work, Julian and I discovered that Misa of Ebonheart had sent Julian new gifts! In the nick of time too, as Julian had literally just leveled up to 26! So we headed back to Shornhelm so Julian could sell some stuff, deposit others in the bank for Mazul, and make room in her inventory for the new gear. At this point we haven't yet decided what colors we want to use - Julian's Desert Storm palette is just a little too light and too yellow for Rivenspire. For now we're sticking with what Misa used. It's kind of cool, really. Julian says it's just a little too red. I'm looking at some of the other players and shaking my head - by comparison Julian is really dull. But that's the way she likes it. And that retires the last of the Death Wind gear that Misa had given Julian so long ago. Like, just a month ago today.
Last night we headed out to western Rivenspire and did some more questing and exploring. The new gear works great!
And my impressions of ESO continue to grow and evolve. I feel like I'm settling into the whole online thing - it feels like ESO is a great gateway for single player gamers to move into the multiplayer experience. Sometimes (especially when taking on the dolmens or the bosses) it's good to have an ally.
So far we haven't yet officially grouped up with anyone else - though Mazul has had a couple of invites and so has Julian. While we're part of a guild, it doesn't seem particularly active and I'm often the only player online. I'm not disappointed, really. Just learning how things are. But what's cool is encountering another player with a similar goal, and supporting that player so that we both get what we want. Afterwards, we go our separate ways. And that's the way Julian likes it. Mazul, too.

I'd say ESO+ is great for exploring DLC without paying the full price for them (especially with smaller DLC like Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood)and the other bonuses make it worth it if you can afford it, it's just that I no longer can if I want to be able to afford any thing else this year (lots of games and whatnot coming out). The craft bag is super helpful, and I get to keep it after cancelling my subscription - I won't be able to add new items to it, but it's still going to be there to hold what's already in it.
I hear you about the multiplayer thing. I play a few multiplayer games, but ESO is really nice and casual about it. Most of the time you can get by without having to properly group with anyone, and the occasional emote is all you need to communicate with strangers - perfect for shy adventurers like Haa-Rei and Ciri. The little guild that I joined the other day just got up to 50 members, so we might have a guild store soon. Fingers crossed!

Is it red? The darn thing about crafting for another player is that - you can't see what you have created! I never know what it looks like until I see it on a character (or more often than not, see a screenshot of them in it).
Misa is up in the Ancestor Silk for robes, and I was wanting to make her one light robe to wear kind of as a dress (because the robes are gorgeous and stylish in ESO) - but the racial styles and sets are all so different looking, I really want to see what they look like before sinking 150 pieces of cloth into one!

I suspect the One Tamriel went live today. But the server is still down (since 3 am my time!) for maintenance.
Oh yes, I almost forgot. Today is the day for One Tamriel on PC. Those of us on console still have 2 weeks left
I imagine it's a pretty sizeable update (memory-wise) since it's such a large change to the base game.
Yes, I am not looking forward to it

I've also been waiting to see if they discount Orsinium on its anniversary - which is today, isn't it? I've been watching to see if it goes on sale, so far nothing

It was released in November. This year's Imperial City DLC discount thing was only announced a couple of days beforehand, so there's plenty of time for an Orsinium announcement.
Oh, you are right. It was announced on October 5, but not released till November. Urgh, another month plus of waiting before I will buy it then.
It came out while I still had the Plus membership, but (between bad health and buying that house for my son) I never got to play it even to try it out before cancelling my Plus membership in December last year.

Aah that's a shame. I hope you get to play it - my favourite area out of all the DLC's so far.

It was your screens and telling of it that made me so interested in it last year, but ... just couldn't play at all period at the time. I was offline about 6 months from the game, so dropped my Plus membership when it expired in December of last year. I can't get it now, will just have to buy the DLC with my leftover crowns. That is why I'm hesitant to spend 3000 crowns on just one DLC, just in case they come out with other stuff I really want like the Anvil (Dark Brotherhood) one. I don't care one way or another about the DB, but LOVE being in Anvil! They did an excellent job of keeping the look/feel of Anvil in it!

Mazul is PISSED! And I mean royally, disgustedly PISSED!
And not in a drunk sort of way . . .
The update took away her favorite spell, Fiery Grip, and put it in dormant mode. To bring it back, she has to level her Ardent Flame skills to 30 (she's at 24 now).
It's how she deals with group mobs, for Mundus's sake! Pulls one of them close to her, whale away at him/her before the others catch up.
And because of that, Sir Croix, who is difficult anyway, proved nearly impossible for her to kill. And now she has to deal with the Omen of Fear in Sir Hughes's dream??
I peeked at Julian's skills, and they seem to be largely untouched. So she's okay.
But we have to see how the whole leveling thing works out now . . .

Sounds frustrating Haute. I still need to have a proper look through the patch notes to see if any of Ciri or Haa-Rei's stuff is affected.
Good news for me today though. When I went to cancel ESO+ I discovered that I can cancel the auto-renew function but keep the subscription until the next bill date, which is the first of November. This means that I can still use ESO+ for a couple of weeks. Hooray!
To celebrate, Haa-Rei did his dailies and we got a Minotaur helmet motif from Limenauruus. Double hooray!
I'm hoping to get at least one Briarheart ring before ESO+ goes for good. We have enough pieces to get the full set bonus already but the Briarheart armour looks terrible and I'd like to make use of the Minotaur motifs that I have (we have three now!). If I can get one or both ring slots with Briarheart, that will free up one or two armour slots for something else.

Where do you get the Briarheart stuff?
And are you on the EU server? Wondering myself if it's something I can pick up and send along to Haa-Rei . . .

Briarheart drops from daily delves in Wrothgar (Orsinium DLC). I do play on the EU server, but I'm on Xbox
I have 23 days before ESO+ is done, which is 23 opportunities to get two rings or 46 if I get Ciri to help (not sure if she's strong enough though). Of course a Briarheart piece isn't a guaranteed drop, but still I have a good chance.

Drat! Wish we could all cross-send each other stuff across servers, but I suspect that would melt the Internet . . .
Even if such technology were possible . . .

I got three crafting Surveys today = all sending Misa to
WROTHGAR for mats, when we don't have Orsinium DLC!!! How are we supposed to get those Surveys? I guess they are trying to force us to buy Orsinium? And Craglorn is a blank map; I'm having to re-find everything without even being able to see it on the map - they wanted to make sure we "Saw" all the changes so took all our pathfinders away, all our completed dungeons, etc.
And yes, they changed some of the skills we HAD ALREADY EARNED and just took them away from us - Pissed is a good word.
Some of the good changes - quest rewards we got in the beginning of the game are suddenly "Sets" now. Not that we can use them now, but if we start another character it will be good.
Why would we start another character you ask? Because my level 8 character is kicking the butts off bosses now, while my CH 197 character can't beat a mud crab anymore!!!!
So the devs at Zenimax have royally screwed their game up, imho.
Oh, but on a good note: The new deal on mats means I was able to find enough Ruby Ash Wood to make my new bow! So I sent it off to my gf Aussie, and hope next time I'm in game I should get to try out my new bow!
And another woman I play with just sent me some homemade Orange Marmalade = MMMMMMMMM!!!!

mALX, you should report the Wrothgar surveys as a bug. That's not supposed to happen.
PC players, did your skills reset, and if not can you tell if a skill reset at the shrines (for game gold) is super cheap the way they usually make it after a major update?

I reported the first one as a bug, the second one as a bug; the third one I pretty much just cursed them out,
