Was doing a bit of the Murkmire prologue with Haa-Rei, but facing some pretty atrocious lag and decided to leave it for another day.
Meanwhile, I've kicked off the brand new adventures of Cirinwe the Warden (since Zenimax refuse to let us simply change class). The plan is to see how far we get by just doing Summerset stuff, then move onto base-game zones for levelling after that. Once new Ciri hits CP she can get all of old Ciri's gear so hopefully it won't take too long.

Yeah what’s up with no class change? They let us change race and superficial things via change tokens but why not class?

Just one of those weird decisions that's never made sense to me. Lots of people say that it's to prevent people switching to whichever class is doing the best in each patch but that's a ridiculous reason so I don't know.
Still, at least most things are account-wide so it's not too bad to start again.

I could have bought a house with that (and I was planning on it) but i decided to get the costume first. It was 200k less than I thought it would be, and if I waited a bit longer it probably would have been less than 1 mil, but I've waited long enough :v Now I need the helmet I figure since he'll be active for Murkmire, I should go and get his costume already. Even if I'm not sure it'll be what he'll wear there.

Much of the weekend's play-time was spent moving Taminwe up towards CP. We got her from 34 to 40 mainly by catching up on the Main Quest (and getting a bit ahead). She's just rescued King Dynar and Vanus Galerion, and about to embark on a few more side-quest to get her level back in sync with the original numbers. Also, I need to get her finished before the Witches Festival event; that will take up a lot of time if I want to buy the cottage for gold.
Both Cat Man Dhou and Wizwen got their souls back a hair short of level 50, and had to do a couple of Silver quests to finish off. I'd like to have Taminwe a bit further along.

Here is the UESP article on it. Has a good pic of it on a lass built similar to Khajiit’s Mira (although the one in the pic is a rather large Bosmer).

Hey, I have a question. What happens if you are in the middle of some battle
like this one, and you make a save in the middle of it? I mean, CAN you make a save in the middle of a PvP battle like this one? What happens if you do? Will your character wind up in the very spot where the save was made (just ... there might not be any battle going on in that area)? Or are you "forced" to return to a different area of the game, where there are no other PCs?
Uh... five questions. Not A question.
You never have to save; the game automatically saves everything constantly on YOUR hard drive (so if your game crashes you can't lose more than a few seconds at most). Unfortunately, that also means there are no "do-overs" if you don't like the way you handled something in either PvP or PvE.
You can close out your game anytime and will come back to wherever you were EXCEPT in PvP (because when you log out in PvP zones, your character is automatically shipped back to your regular
server. (The PvP zones are all on different servers than the PvE zones).
That way the PvP server isn't loaded down with characters that are logged off; it frees up room for others to come fight. (the PvP servers can hold X number of characters at each instance; so they can't be bogged down with logged off characters).
You have a choice of servers you can go to in PvP zones, I usually chose the ones with the fewest members on them (and occasionally have logged out in my (safe zone) and when I logged back in my character was still there. There are some dungeons in Cyrodiil that you can log out in and find yourself still there in a less busy server; and places like Weynon Priory, etc. On a busy server you will always be kicked back to wherever you were when you traveled to Cyrodiil or the battlegrounds.
Also: You can't log out while you are actually
in combat; but you CAN log out while your Keep is being attacked as long as the enemy is not in personal combat with
you.
I never said thanks for this info, so thanks!

Was wondering how ESO handles all this. The not-being-able-to-save thing is weird.

That is because the game keeps going on while you are logged out. (unlike single player games that freeze time while you are away and you come back to the same moment you left yesterday, etc). In this game, while you are logged out; stuff is still happening around you. When you come back, things can be totally different; even in PvE.
Example: I can log out alone in my house; and when I turn the game on next I will be in my house still; but there might be visitors in there now, (hanging out, etc). (I have most of my houses set up to allow members from here at Chorrol to come visit; most of us do so we can pop over and say hi, etc).
If you want to see how the game goes on while you are gone from it: you can die in combat and while you are dead (if you decide not to resurrect right away) you can see the battle continuing around your body; see your body laying there.
If you know you can't win the fight alone you can chose to resurrect at the nearest wayshrine; or if you want to complete it but need help = you can stay dead till someone else comes in and then resurrect to help them take the enemy down/get their help in you completing the fight. It is very cool to play with others; I really love it!

That's fine if you have a reasonable prospect of someone else coming along. My experience is that others only want to join you if you're winning. Wizwen did a lot of semi-solo dolmens, where she died repeatedly in the main wave, and only got help for the final boss (and the chest).
Still we get one good run a month with the Chorrolites guild, even if the rest of the time is a bit random.

Last night I got that "Magic Carpet" addon and played around at the Guild Hall = checking out all the stuff on the sides = I was told there was a city behind it on the left; and that the tower on the right could be entered and explored; so I couldn't wait to explore both.
Well, whoever told me that was wrong; the towers on either side are just for looks; there is no way to explore them; no interiors at all - they are squished into a big rock; it doesn't even look like they have a second story interior = and even if there was; there is an invisible wall around them, so whoever told me they explored in there must have done it on the PTS first Summerset/Artaeum patch.
Also; on the left side it isn't a city back in there like I was told; (though it really does look like one from the ground). It is actually just one tower; the exact duplicate of the tower on the right side, and just as smashed into the rocks.
They were just put there for looks; the Dev's just didn't realize the tenacity of the players wanting to know something or find a hidden treasure,

Is it just gold, or is there an achievement required first?
I recall when I bought Mathiisen Manor that Taminwe had to do a bunch of Auridon side-quests to qualify. Unna, Blosom or Laurie could have done them, but if Taminwe wanted to live there ... In this case, Spreads has her eye on it, because it's nicely swampy, so she might have some work to do.

And that includes collecting 100 plunder skulls and the whole Hollowjack Motif. Lot of grind in there, plus RNG. Spreads now has 12 skulls, 4 of the Hollowjack pages (3 dups from the bank, plus only one found), but she did get two Dremora skulls, so that's a couple of Dremora Motif pages, too. I need to look up where the skulls drop, as we ran out of delves in Stonefalls, and World Bosses could be risky at her level.

Dude go to Hagfen north of Aldcroft in Glenumbra. There is a world boss (three crazy powerful werewolves) and a dolmen within a hundred yards of each other. There is always a big crowd hanging around so just ask some one there to group you up and you can run between those two things collecting skulls with hardly any fuss. Brenna usually just perched on a rock or log and lobs healing spells for the dps guys attacking the bosses.

I think one of the best returns of skulls per time spent may be public dungeons. They vary from about 5-9 bosses depending on which dungeon. Did Bonesnap today for example: 15 minutes = 9 skulls.

Why don't we have a fun-run for our younger characters; group them up and send them out through a starter zone like Stonefalls to do the Dolmen/dungeons/and WB's? I've got some characters that could use the achievements; skyshards/etc. It would be fun, and we'd be helping each other!

Ooh, Khajiit would love to get Sorai (21) and Geru (15) involved in something like this!

Okay, well today I took Britta out for her Witches Festival romp! She hasn't been getting out much this year. so it was really nice to get to play her!
What happened = Our (our as in all of us here at Chorrol) friend Bear (you might remember Bear from last year's Saturalia party at Haute's) and his wife Gray invited me to join them to do Witches Festival stuff; and since they mentioned doing a group dungeon I thought it best to bring Britta (the Tank) along = and BOY was I glad that I did!
First we did a delve; then a Dolman, then a WB - and then Bear suggested doing a random normal. They are normally so easy; but the RNG sent us to Fang Lair. Suffice it to say; we started off at around 3 p.m. and finished around 8 p.m. = worn out; but boy was I happy to actually be able to do it! I'd say it was easily the worst dungeon I've ever been in, not exaggerating.
But at the end of the day, I had 5 pieces of Dremora armor; a skill point, some transmute crystals = and Britta got some achievements!
So, all in all = as much as I HATED that dungeon; it was all good in the end!

On my son's game I've got a level 13 Sorc, a level 13 Templar; and a basically useless CP (something low level) Nightblade that is needing the XP to ramp up her CP level. On my game I have a low level (19 or so, but at least she has CP points) DK. I also have some CP level bank mules that can't fight their way out of bed in the morning; (possibly because they are all still in level 2 armor, lol). But grouped with others, they do contribute a bit. (Ask Buffy, she has gone out with all of them through the years to get skyshards so they could craft). (plus they all went out for New Life the last two years).

Brenna just bought the Exorcised Coven Cottage even though it cost way more gold than we remembered. She really wanted it though so of course Khajiit gave in and let her get it. Honestly, Brenna is so spoiled!
I haven't bought that one yet, but I've seen some excellent decorating jobs there!
I’m working on it now! Stop by and have a look!
I'll pop in there tomorrow after my (in-game) chores!

Khajiit set it to his primary home so feel free to pop in whenever. All Chorrolites have visitor privileges. Be warned, the place is a bit grim (we had some crowns left so we bought the witches coven furnishings bundle) and a work in progress! Also, if any of you have any suggestions for really rough or spooky furnishings like very simple beds, tables, chairs, and shelves, or other miscellaneous set dressing type stuff (read: corpses, bones, of tomb stuff) feel free to post them. Spooky donations are also welcome!

Congrats on the successful Fang Lair romp!

Spreads is level 29 right now, so grouping with a bunch of similar levelled characters would be great for her. We were finding that high-level characters were camping the delve bosses, and burning them down before we could get our hits in. Dolmens are set up that way all the time, unless you manage to find one nobody's using, and then it's too much for one player! Why is there never anything in-between?
Well, she did get a reasonably-sized group for the Golden Saint WB in Stonefalls, and got her second Dremora skull from that. Only died a few times, when she couldn't dodge in time.
I assume the optimum group size is four so we can do the group instances.
And I'd like to take a look at Khajiit's house, too. Especially if some of the current random furnishing drops are on show. Spreads has a few, but we haven't previewed them yet.

(Thank you for the congrats!!!)
But...OMG, does that mean you have the giant crow target dummy? GAAAAAH! I want that thing!!!!
On that bed = several people I know have a real coffin with a separate lid so they can actually lay in it using the /sleep or /sleep2 (which is better for coffin sleeping).
Here is the page on the wood coffin that you can craft:
https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Coffin,+Case(the lid is separate, but also craftable) = I'll check to see if I can make either one; but I don't think I've seen them when I've searched through my lists. I'm pretty sure I can make stocks though; if you need them, lol. Here is the wood lid:
https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/wp-content/uplo...fin-Lid-2-1.jpgAnd here is the page on it:
https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/coffin-lid/Because they are craftable; you can probably find them for sale at Guild Traders; especially at this time of year.
Then there is the stone one that sells at the Achievement vendors for Master Vampires only:
http://lovelynorth.com/wp-content/uploads/...rith-Coffin.jpg(its lid is also sold separately, but is also an achievement) = Lid:

I didn't get the chance to participate in the runs for Witches Festival yesterday as I had to work the entire day.
But I'm off today and tomorrow (gasp! A LOREDAS!) so I plan on getting Do Raheita started on the WF stuff
It would be fun for him, and good for leveling - some of the TG stuff is difficult for him to solo yet.
Which reminds me, I should have Maz craft him some new gear - he's level 27 (I think) running in level 20 gear . . . )
So once I get my daily writs out of the way, if you see me online give me a ping! I'd love to get Do Rah that much closer to level 50! I will get him started on the quest (get the witch mother whistle) so he's read
Oh, and Maz is game for collecting those Dremora skulls, too . . . wonder if the content is level dependent . . .

So yesterday was the second day of the Witches' Festival, but it was our first.
After I got chores out of the way, Maz made Do Rah a new set of armor - trying out Julianos combined with Shacklebreaker, since we've noticed he is struggling with Magicka regeneration. He was already level 28, and has quite outgrown the old armor. I am focusing more on magicka with him (he's a Nightblade).
He's rocking the pirate swab outfit while he is slicing a path through Hew's Bane (he is a Dark Brotherhood graduate, after all).
Next on his agenda was the Witches Festival starter quest - he got to run around as a skeleton for a couple of hours. First he went back to Vvardenfell and the dungeon that is next door to Ald Velothi (yes, we bought that house). He somehow got two plunder skulls there, one for the delve boss and apparently we also killed a quest boss for the second time (he finished that zone a week or so ago). Then he met the Covetous Countess in Elden Root, and after that wandered up to the dolmen just northeast of the Great Tree. There he was fortunate enough to pick up another plunder skull with the help of a few passersby.
Then we whispered Bear and Gray, and joined them and their friend Bree on a romp through Rivenspire - a World Boss and another delve (both Dremora and plunder skulls aplenty), then Do Rah got to run through his first public dungeon at Banished Cells.
By then he was feeling pretty tired, and loaded down with loot, so he went back to the Palace to rest and count his gold. Maz joined Bear and Gray and Bree, and I was able to get a couple of folks from my housing guild, a couple of others from my main trading guild, and then my housing guildie got the last three from their trials guild, and we all went off to take on Cloudrest. It was Maz's (and my) first trial, and it was fun. Bree needed us to talk in caps, because like mALX, she has trouble reading chat, and I told the group that because of my deafness, voice chat was out for me. So one of the Trials guildies took the time to explain the strategy for each trial to all of us before we went in, and it was great. I really enjoyed myself, even though Maz died a couple of times.
I'm heading off now to start my second day of the Witches Festival! Have fun, all!

HHhhhhhHHHhh so thanks to having both the Murkmire dailies and the Witches Festival activities, I completely forgot about Murkmire's actual release next Monday. I'm not ready to suddenly have things to do in the game lol
I got a good chunk of the Dremora Motifs these past 3 days, though I'll most likely have to buy Swords and Chests. Soloing Dungeons is a lot quicker than doing Maelstrom Arena, so I'll most likely finish those first. :T Sure, I could get things done quicker if I put groups together, but tbh I always spray Max Repels for a reason lol
I wonder what the price for the motifs will end up being. They're a guaranteed drop after all.
Oh, right I'm mostly taking my time with the Swamp Jelly pet. But since Murkmire's on the horizon I might just trade with other players since I do have 7 pieces already. After that, I could care less about those dailies. :v I stop doing them the moment I get a runebox piece anyways. (Sometimes it's right on the first quest)

Earlier today Brenna went on a fun romp through a couple of dungeons, first through Bad Man’s Hollow with just Spreads (Ghastly), and then through Root Sunder Ruins with Spreads(Ghastly), Buffy(Acadian), and Illyria Soulbinder(Hetaerae). It was an awful good time and many heads (plunder skulls) were taken!

It was a good time! After you left us, the three of us that remained continued for 3xdolmen (FG daily), Obsidian Scar (MG daily) and Orc Finger Ruins (Undaunted daily).

Spreads got a lot of skulls today. So many, she filled her inventory, and the bank, and had to buy more bank space, and sell off stuff to the merchant. She started with 17, and now has 50. On the other hand, half the Hollowjack pages we got were duplicates.
It got her several levels in the process, what with the 100% bonus for the festival. Taminwe also took advantage of that to get up to level 46 (and get her soul back). Now I have to decide between Spreads doing all the parts of the pre-requisite quest for the house, or getting Tami to champ.
First, I mean. I'm not going to get away without doing both.

Trey did some Craglorn and Al'akir quests, trying to clean up his journal. Of course, the "collect elemental essences" was... not good.
And his habit of talking to anyone who looks like they need help got him involved with the Bosmer Little Leaf. She is an excellent contrast to his seriousness.

Cirinwe (the new one) hit level 38 today, and finished up in Auridon. So far she's levelled just by doing that and Summerset (with xp scrolls and witches brew) so she's making good progress.
Tomorrow we'll decide where to go next for levelling - I'm thinking Wrothgar or Vvardenfell, but we'll see.

Spreads got another seven skulls, and then I switched over to Taminwe, and scrounged up a scroll or two to boost her XP gain a bit further. We finally got her to level 50, and now she daren't go anywhere until we upgrade her gear. Laurie has made her five pieces of Hunding's - Heavy cuirass and four medium others. She still has unused Undaunted key and invitation, so that's two chances of a better shoulder, and then we need to scrounge up jewelry and weapons. The stuff she has is so low-level, she might as well not use it. And of course, all the pieces in the bank are low-level bits we're keeping for research.
And Spreads found her third copy of Hollowjack Shields. It's the popular one in the guild bank, so I imagine everyone else is finding it, too. She has half the chapters, from half the skulls, so there's some chance she'll get them all.
