Thanks everyone = I never knew a Sorc could be that powerful until Acadian helped me with the build! I had one (Sorc) that I deleted because she couldn't fight even one mudcrab without dying; but Acadian has been teaching me about building a Sorc better!
I was seriously nervous about going into the Battlegrounds with him because I didn't know how to play a Sorc; but he did better than Misa = a LOT better !!!!

Grats on your son's toon's BG successes! Julian can't even come close to that!
And Monkee, I haven't even begun Murkmire, and already they're coming out with new DLC in a month! Yikes!
Don't know where I'm going to find the time to add my lovely Saxhleel healer lass . . .
Today I got Do Rah pushed up to Level 49 in Summerset. I really want to get him to 50 before taking him on the Caldwell Tour (base MQ plus Silver and Gold). When I get him there, then I will start working on my youngest toon, the ever so handsome Captain Stefan from Cloud Ruler Temple

Buffy got her first berry on day one of the event and quickly brought her tix count back up to 12/12 - mostly from Cyrodiil scouting missions.
She also has completed Murkmire and finds it to be her fave DLC. Now, I must caveat that by saying that no ESO DLC measures up to the base game in our opinion, but Murkmire is pretty good. I think what Buffy likes about it is that the warm, lush zone reminds her of Valenwood - she liked Shadowfen for the same reasons. Unlike Wrothgar and Summerset, navigating Murkmire is not frustrated by impassable cliff walls. The quests are well-done and the characters both memorable and engaging. Some folks may be put off a bit by the loads of quest-related dialogue the zone has but Buffy very much enjoyed it all because she did the whole DLC in a leisurely, smell the roses manner.

BOLD: Neither can any of my characters do even a small percentage of that, lol.
I bought a character slot a long time ago; and it has just been sitting there for a long time = don't have the time or inclination yet to actually start another character. (so know what you are saying!)

You should definitely get on Murkmire! It is fun!
Today Illana spent most of her time in the Imperial City. Interesting events today that would forever go down in history. She was fighting Daedra in the arena, caught in a vicious battle against a clannfear. She was losing... until a khajiit nightblade from the Ebonheart pact came into the arena.
Illana was apprehensive at first, fearful he would attack her as so many others had done before, but the khajiit put his hand to his chest as a sign of honor and that he would be willing to help. Illana did the same.
Seeing a mutual partnership, he ran into the arena and helped Illana fight the Daedric adversaries until they proved to be too much until yet another warrior from the Ebonheart pact came to the arena.
Illana was getting worried. The entire city, save for the Arena District(taken over by the Daggerfall Covenant) was red. She was surrounded by enemies and yet. . . They helped her bring down the Daedric enemies and as the battle ended the two men who were sworn enemies placed their hands on their chest as a sign of respect. Illana did the same.
Just as she was heading out, however, she saw a group of Daggerfall warriors rush through as they were hard-pressed in combat against the Daedric foes patrolling outside of the arena. They were a few feet away from the Ebonheart heroes. All she managed was a “Don’t” before she was attacked by the Daedra and the two Ebonheart adventurers we’re overwhelmed and defeated by the warriors- and allies- of the Daggerfall Covenant
Illana stared down the defeated figure of the khajiit as he whispered a final, “Rude.”
Hehe, this actually happened today. The Ebonheart fellow added me as a friend after numerous failed attempts in the arena. He brought his friend over to fight and we beat them but as we were leaving my allies came in and just destroyed them both. I felt so bad!

It is so awesome when this happens! Once I had my DK saved by an "enemy player," and another time she was fighting a Covenant DK and neither of us could take the other down. I finally saluted the other DK; he saluted back and we parted ways. (same thing; with the fist to the chest).
I've had friends fishing down there that were joined by the other Alliances in fishing instead of fighting. I love hearing about things like that happening!!!
Awesome Story, DE!!! And yeah; kind of hurts to see your people take down the person that just helped you; that is sad that his good deed ended that way! And it is not like you could even resurrect him, either. Glad you got a friend out of it though!

I spent some time with my stable of characters using the Precursor to check out their rotations. Let's just say a lot of work is needed. Floozie, who's just passed L30, and is a healer, did almost as much damage as the others.
I still have the wrong attitude to short- and long-ranged weapons that hampers my play style. I want to use the bow, and then close in, whereas the weapon in ESO has little to do with the fight, and it's the abilities (spells) that do most of the work. The ability may be tied to a weapon, but some are tenuous connections. Nobody yet has armour that damages, another ESO concept that defies logic. This may be why Floozie (using staves) does well, as I don't see a staff as either ranged or close-up, and just get on with using it.
The idea of rotation makes sense when abilities have DoT or HoT effects, as you want to cycle back to them just after they expire, or you're wasting magicka or stamina by re-casting too soon, or else missing out by doing so too late. However, with the various durations and cooldowns, it will take some time to get them right. Weaving will take a lot more practice, too.
Block, dodge, and interrupt timing are also going to need work, and the dummies can't provide that.

Feb 6 2019, 08:02 PM
Floozie just added the final skill she needed to her bar, so once she has it morphed up, she's good to go. A number of passives won't be available until level 50 (skill or character), but are at least in sight, now she's at 46. We've paid a bit more attention to her CP choices, so she doesn't really need to re-allocate, unlike some of the others, who may get a re-spec of some skills, too. She also has a couple of skills points in hand, for those passives and morphs.
We're starting to look around for which sets she'll want when she hits 50. At that point, everything she currently has becomes junk, if it isn't already. We already note that she went down a star on the character tab, because she's growing out of her current gear. Laurie's thinking of getting a wardrobe chest with some of her Writ Vouchers, to keep equipment sets for hand-me-down to newer characters, or as situational options for higher-level ones. If she does so, she may put in a set of CP160 Julianos before Floozie needs it, either by making a new one, or else trading with Spreads or Wizwen, so they can try something else. Minx is carrying around her level 34 Hunding's pieces, so they don't get unintentionally deconstructed. Those would get dropped in the new container, too. All that should prevent me creating an Imperial, as a tenth character, as it would be too easy.

Started playing through Murkmire for the first time with Haa-Rei yesterday (fashionably late as always) and it's pretty good!
However, I think I'll start again and do it as Cirinwe since it's not that great being an Argonian character - everyone's all "You don't speak Jel? Are you alright?", "How can an Argonian not know x y and z about Argonian culture" which makes Haa-Rei look like a fool just because Zenimax can't write race-specific dialogue properly. Very disappointing in that regard.

Floozie reached Champion and completed Cadwell's Silver at the same time, with the completion of the Mane quest in Reaper's March. So now we're deciding what she needs for equipment.
Alcast says 5 parts Kagrenac's, 3 Torug's and 3 Willpower jewelry, but I just don't get the Torug's in that. The way I see it, that set is all about the 5-piece bonus. So we may do Magnus' Gift instead, as it looks like a more useful partial set. Jewelry is likely to be gathered from Dolmens for a while, too.
Several of my characters need to catch up their bow skills, so that's probably what I'll be doing most. Laurie needs another Potent Nirncrux for her last trait (not that she has a research slot free for some time) so they'll all practice in Craglorn until we get one. If they haven't done the quest line there, then that one Nirnhoned piece will be useful.
Unna may also go do a bit more of Murkmire.

The worst part for me was that Xochitl was supposed to
be from Murkmire but you don't really have the option to assert that, ever. Being called "ojel" could have easily been because of staying away for several years, but the ignorance of general Argonian culture was unacceptable. It's Bethesda levels dumb, tbh

Very productive weekend. Floozie celebrated her Level 50 with a blitz on the quests in Stormhaven, and got the Adventurer achievement she needed to buy Gardner House. So now she's sitting by the fire in a rocking chair, trying to ignore the fact that the rest of the house is empty. She does have a nice big bed upstairs, but not much more than that. Laurie is sorting through her plans, and buying Molybdenum. We'll probably run out of something else that's harder to get.
She's now wearing Kagrenac's with Spinners jewelry, and a monster shoulder. Hat is random for now, but we may try to get a Spinners one, or try to match the shoulder.
Minx did a foraging/bow run through Craglorn, and picked up three Nirncrux, and one was the Potent that Laurie needed. She got it from a flax plant!
Taminwe managed to buy a (blue) Briarheart bow for a decently low price, and we've upgraded it for her. It could use a transmute, but that's not too hard. She still wants the robust rings, but the price is crazy and we can't buy and upgrade them ourselves until we get Summerset.

Yeah, everything you do on the PTS is strictly temporary; because at the very least once per month they take another snapshot of your account on Live and everything starts over from that new point. When a DLC or chapter is coming up, it is a lot more frequent than that.
They also alternate between the EU PTS where if you are on the NA PTS you won't even have access to your own characters and have to create a new one or use one of their "Templates."
If you are using the PTS to test out any new Race/Class/etc; use one of their Templates to test it. They are the highest level CP available at that given time; and have every available skill line able to be maxed out. You can make them any race or class you want; and they come with 10 million gold to spend. They also come with every available armor/weapon/recipe/motif/furn plan/etc AND at least 200 of every ingredient/material/etc. in the game. (makes testing new characters a lot quicker and easier).
For anyone who doesn't know how to get the Templates: (on the PTS only) = choose to start a new character; then look on the upper left of the screen for a small drop down. When you click on it you will see several set up characters of different Alliances. Choose any one you like by the info given for them; but you can then change them to the race or class you want in the CharGen screen.
They are perfect for testing new builds out in advance of a Race or Class "tweak" like the one coming up. From what I've heard a couple days ago; they have beefed up the Khajiit and Nords to almost OP; and originally nerfed the Argonian really badly until an uproar from Argonian Players made them fix it back; (so Hazmick is safe!)

Since I had the crowns - we bought Gardner House for gold - I decided to purchase the Imperial upgrade and create a bow/bow character. I'd neglected bow on most of my others and have recently been playing catch-up on that skill. This time, it will be the first skill learned, so it has a chance of being fully developed, and I might learn to use it.
So we now have
Bo Dacius, who's a perfect 10.
That's an outfit she's wearing, so it will stay fairly constant, but the gear underneath is not very different right now. She's level 9, living in the Mara's Kiss Inn room, and doing the Auridon quests. I haven't yet given her CP, as I want to see how bow/bow does in normal play. Of course, she doesn't have the second bar yet, or skills to fill one.

I don't even have a Khajiit right now; but if I didn't get the emotes = sure as hell I'd start a Khajiit and then wish I had them.
Not to mention that from what everyone on the PTS is saying, unless they change it before the launch = "Khajiit are about to be the new Black." (just like they did with Wardens when they first launched them; they made them OP for a while). They are doing the same with Khajiit on the PTS; unless they change it before launch.
...So maybe I'll make a Khajiit Necromancer? Anyway, if I do it will def have unique Khajiit emotes now, lol.

I was surprised that Strident Springs doesn't have a fireplace or a basement, so fortunately Bo's already ruled that one out. Domus Phrasticus is tempting, but at level 19 she's afraid to go anywhere near Craglorn. The Cyrodiilic Jungle House is tiny, but it could happen.
She'll stay in the Inn in Vulkhel Guard for a while.

Especially as she needs to do the MQ and get her soul back, and being near the Harborage helps. When she decides to do some BG's for the Caltrops and Vigor, that's also close by.
Floozie, meanwhile, is doing her mount training, and dailies. I need to bully the others into Undaunted dailies, too, as none of them have the passives yet. Laurie needs the distraction, as she's spending all her time waiting for the last round of research slots to open up.

Soooooo what's going on? Usually this place is packed. Are people not farming the set from Rivenspire anymore or is it just the Huntsman motif keeping everyone.
Today will be the last day of Murkmire dailies

Trey finally got back to Craglorn... And the first Nirnhoned piece of gear. He also got the last 2 elements for Critical Mass, but is not going to reach the Core solo.
Hrolf is DKing his way through Vvardenfell... Just needs Salothan and Queen Consort....
ETA- Hrolf also did 2 Dark Anchors quests for Cardea- but now she is not offering any more. (And I know he has not taken out very many Dolmeni- so... not sure what's up with that).

Bought the few Murkmire motifs I needed today, just in time for Enderal to drop. :v
I was thinking of getting started on Silver Dawn but remembered that it will be one of the motifs dropping for the Anniversary Event in April so. Nah. (Welkynar and Huntsman will drop too, which is great because that's a lot of gold otherwise lol)
I'll just have to pick up the slack since I won't be able to get as many Jubilee Boxes this year as previous ones, since crafting dailies only count for 2 weeks this year. :/

Bo did her second Undaunted daily and was very miffed to be sent to Wormroot Depths, which she'd just cleared out with Abnur Tharn in the MQ. So no skyshard from that one. On the positive side, this time she could use the wayshrines she found on the first trip.
She may do some BG's soon for the Vigor and Caltrops. The next new bow skill is 12 levels away, and her current bars have several duplicates.
Several of the others are only a trait or two away from 8/9 (all but Nirnhoned), and Floozie won't be long in reaching level 50 in her equipment crafting, at which point Bo gets all the deconstruction pieces. We've moved on to letting the deconstructor dismantle any piece that wasn't made specifically for reearch. Since we make those from the Rank 1 materials, it's easy to determine which is which. However, I've started making race-specific styles to indicate which character they were made for, as I still have more than one waiting to research any specific trait. Only Laurie (and Bo) know Imperial, so Laurie will be making anything destined for her. It's not needed yet, as Bo can only handle one at a time, so she researches a drop before she starts deconstructing.
Bo researched all the Alchemy traits early on, as we had plenty of supplies, and you can do that without investing skill points. She's also taken Enchanting as far as she can before adding skill points for potency. We'll pump up Provisioning to making her own, as soon as we get another skill point.
Riding, of course, can't be hurried, and Floozie and Bo both have months of lessons ahead of them. Bo will get one free level-up boost, but I forget when.

Would anyone here agree with Khajiit that the Huntsman motif looks bad? To this one, it has a fake plastic look to it.

I hadn't looked until you mentioned it, but the thing I'm noticing about it is that they've moved the flaps from the chest to the legs. Still not the waist, where I think they belong, but the tassets as chest armour meme may be fading out.
I'd hide those helmets, too.

Hip flaps bother Khajiit less than the armor looking like a crappy Halloween costume from Walmart. This one agrees that the headgear is pretty bad. How they managed to mess up horn and antler headdresses is beyond Khajiit’s understanding.

Because fighting overpowering WBs and struggling with the fact that my character builds are... kind of all over the place, I did what I have been considering for a while-
Added my 5th character, and Argonian Warden named Threep Chills. (The name may have something to do with his early experiments with amphibians and low temperatures... or maybe it's because his scales are blue- he isn't telling).
For now, he will shape as a purpose-built magicka DPS.

Ooh, Khajiit’s Brenna is a Warden mag dps. Have fun!

I didn't even know what the set looked like, but after checking I think they look more like some sort of Christmas-themed outfit, especially with the horns lol It is up there with Welkynar, tbh

Bo is at that annoying stage where she's almost at the level to use the saved set of Hunding's, but not quite. So she has a motley collection of loot items instead. She's been moving fast enough not to have collected a fresh set to replace the Twin Sisters things she used around level 10. There's at most two of anything. Laurie may need to make her a better bow (or two), at least.
We did enough Battlegrounds yesterday to get Vigor, but in poor PvE gear, she doesn't do well at PvP. Still, the 7.5k AP for last place is enough to keep her going for the Caltrops. At level 31, she hasn't maxed out bow yet, so there are still passives and morphs there that will mean skyshard hunting on her agenda. We'll probably take the MQ back up when she has the Hunding's, although a tour around Bankorai for some Spriggan's and Skyshards might intervene. Since she'll want the CP versions later, opening up all the wayshrines now will help.
ETA: She did reach 34, and we were lucky to pick up a couple of purple pieces of Spriggan's jewelry from the dolmens, so we did the quest Will of the Woods, to get a Spriggan's bow. (I have other characters that can get her another when she reaches L50.) We only upgraded it to blue so far, as she's going to outgrow it, although it may get stashed for future use, when we put the Hunding's back in storage.
Going back to the MQ, and impatient for the log-in reward of XP scrolls!

I hadn't seen the screens of the armor; but reading this made me run look it up! BWAAHAA!!!! Yeah, I don't see me racing to make it for my characters, lol. And most def agree with Ghastley on hiding the helmet!

Threep got the Tavern Singer's dress- but he is concerned that it might make his tail look fat....
And then there's the fact that his singing has been compared unfavorably to the call of a bull crocodile.

Laurie's current round of Clothing research completes this weekend, and she'll be able to start on the last two Nirnhoned traits. We already have the pieces (thanks to mALX). In a further nine days, it will be the Blacksmithing research round.
Blossom already finished 8/9 across the board, and Cat Man Dhou has the last ones in progress to join her, but they don't know anything like the number of motifs that Laurie does. They're still useful for bringing in the writs when I get in that mood, which might well get triggered at the weekend.
I'll probably be getting Bow burnout at that point. Bo is racing on through the MQ, trying to get her soul back, armed with nothing else, and Unna, Taminwe, and Minx are all trying to catch up on their neglect of the back bar. They're all skyshard hunting, trying to use just the bow, to raise their skills.
