Likely not. I've been through all the alliance zones at least 4 times, and don't fancy making it a fifth for most of them, at least not yet. I think I've only done Wrothgar twice, and Vvardenfell once, so they shouldn't be too bad.

Hmmm, I wasn't planning on jumping into Murkmire but ZOS having to do maintenance right now is, uh, cómo se dice, annoying as [poop].

Yeah, what happened? I was playing along just fine all day and suddenly got the notice that they were bringing it down in 15 minutes! I know poor Grits was having some hella lag earlier; though.

At any rate: got all the crafted sets; got 4 skyshards; got the Murkmire Pathfinder achievement; and got almost all the Lorebooks. (some are quest locked). Also, found two weird glowy items and happened across a place that said to "Put them here," (which I did) = so I'll most def be doing that quest if I ever find out what it is, lol.

On Saturday I sold myself for one hour of "Skeleton Farming" (I drink Witches Brew, turn into a skeleton; then hit dolmen/delves/dungeons/etc. for Plunder Skulls and Dremora Skulls, etc.

(The person who paid for me gets everything I pick up from start to finish of the hour. I was only fifteen minutes in when they said they were taking the servers down in fifteen minutes; so I'll probably restart the full hour when we can get back on. Most def will NOT be doing that in Murkmire, lol. But so far they already got a Dremora Boot motif; a HollowJack motif; several pieces of that "Bobbing For Apples" emote runebox; a bunch of scrap equipment to decon; and the rest was all gold/ingredients/materials/and provisioning stuff.

(meanwhile, my character is hopefully getting her 100 skeletons achievement. Then all she'll need is the Arena and the Trial!).

Cirinwe managed to explore most of Murkmire, got the pathfinder achievement and as far as I can tell discovered every locations except a world boss (unless there's only one in Murkmire?).

The zone looks absolutely fantastic, exactly what I was hoping for with Black Marsh (I know we have Shadowfen, but you know what I mean). Looking forward to going through it all with Haa-Rei probably next week.

The house in Murkmire is also on my list - partially underwater Xanmeer with magic aquarium basement? Yes please.

I was surprised Ciri got the first exploration of it; thought we'd see Haa-Rei visiting his egg-mates!

So today I did one last run of Maelstrom Arena and finally got Dremora Legs, and after I went shopping for the final 2 pieces and found a reasonably priced Chests. Dravean is just a Swords motif away from completing the whole set. (He would have been done, but any I found were going for twice than what I payed for chests lol)

Good thing I'm done with that, because yesterday my pinkie finger seized up from going after the shift key too eagerly in the final round. Those damn golden ghosts are tricky. To make matters worse, as I tried to get it to unclench I not only hit the Windows key, it got stuck there for a few seconds lol

Nothing bad happened, at least, to my hand or Eolan. Soon I'll try out Murkmire, but for now I'll keep kneeing Molag in his Bal for Plunder Skulls

Having noted that Public Dungeons seem to have a high number of mini-bosses, and thus are a decent target for the skull-hunter, Spreads headed for the nearest one, the Vile Manse. Nobody else was there, so she proceeded to take on the first quest in the basement level solo. After quite a few deaths, she finished the quest without meeting any of the mini-bosses on that level. About an hour and a half of play, and no skulls to show for it.

We did drop down to the lower level, but failed to make any progress alone. Had to port out to home, as there's no other way to leave, except a full clearance. Next time I'll scream for help.

A couple options on farming public dungeon bosses since there are other players killing them as well. You need to know where they are and if they are between spawns, camp the spot. There are indeed a fair number of bosses in the main level of Vile Manse (and a few more along with the skyshard in the lower level).

Bringing up a UESP wiki map of the dungeon you can flip between there and the game will do the trick.

What I use and it works much more smoothly is an add on from ESOUI call Dungeon Champions. It puts boss markers in delves and public dungeons.

That looks very useful. I'll give it a try.

Hopefully it won't give me the UI errors I now get with Skyshards and EHT after the Murkmire patch. They're the latest versions, too, and the older add-ons are all working fine. I may totally refresh the Add-ons folder.

So do public dungeon enemies scale their difficulty to the amount of players in the area? Talking specifically bosses.

Well, received two shoulder style for free! Some guy had no room so he was giving them away and I took them.

I have one away to our guild leader and was going to sell the other one for 2600k.... until I received a very insane number of whispers from players. I found out it’s worth 30-50k and even more than that!

Nope, and everything is more or less solo-able. Each public dungeon also has a group boss, which is designed for groups (surprise surprise) but can also be solo'd.

Shadowrend shoulders that you can sell? I thought they were bound to your account = couldn't be sold? Or are you talking about the Crown Store costume for Shadowrend?

If you don’t read it, it isn’t bound to your account, and can be traded or sold in guild stores. I meant the page you get in dungeons. If you don’t read it you can sell it.

I hung out at Craglorn and asked any player who was selling it. I asked a few of them and surprisingly went for 100k and 150k!! To imagine I’d sell that for 2600. No wonder my whisper box was spammed to Oblivion lol.

Lol, I'll bet! If you ever want to know the current price of something before selling it; Google "Tamriel Trade Center" and look up the item. You can see the range of prices that item is currently selling for in game; and how long ago that price was valid. It gives a fairly accurate idea of a price range.

So I poked around in Murkmire and discovered that the Black-Tongue clan still exists in this version, so crisis averted. Had I poked around a little more on the PTS I would have known already, since a book about them is right in Lilmoth. Whether or not they're actually in-game is another matter, but then Hates isn't exactly considered an egg-sister anymore since she left and assimilated into non-Saxhleel culture.

Come to think of it, it might just be that OOG text from a long time ago released by ZOS. I can't remember. :T

Anyways, Witches Festival activities finished. Maybe I'll start the DLC soon.

Jerric had a great afternoon with the Auridon WB wrecking crew. We were down to four at the end, but got it done!

Tonight (if he can get back on) Jerric is going to take a crack at the Covenant public dungeons. All are welcome to join. He will be going Jerric-style, which means taking the quests and doing them in possibly not the most efficient order, getting turned around in tunnels, accidentally pulling the whole room, and gawking at the scenery. You have been warned!

Yeah, but those drop from the first boss you kill that day (so long as it's been 20 hours since your last one) so getting ten by the time it's over shouldn't be a problem. There's even one of those portals near the writ turn in location in Shadowfen.

With everything going on, I somehow missed what we have to do to get the event tickets. Does anyone know?

I believe you get 1 per day along with your first dremora plunder skull of the day.

Anyways, semi related to that, I finally finished the Dremora motif. Found Swords for under 30k, and all is well. Everyone seems to be trying to sell them for over 40k lol

Buffy has 8 event tickets. I believe that is the max at this point (one each day since start).

Heh, Brenna accidentally assaulted a lady in a bank yesterday. She couldn’t flee as the lady kept attacking her so she unleashed icy fury upon the poor woman in hopes that her death would allow her to escape the banks without further incident. Unfortunately a guard got involved and killed Brenna before she could kill him (are guards immortal in this game? Brenna threw everything she had at the guy it his health bar didn’t move at all!).

BWAAHAA!!!


** On the Event Tickets = I've only got 6. So unless I really buckle down, I'll probably not get the new mount. Looks like "Puffy" gets another year of hard work, lol.

** On the Guild Hall = I stopped by and checked it out; everything was in place/not hurricane'd or jumbled up = and the big thing: every crafting table and Mundus stone worked fine; inside and out! so maybe they fixed it? I hope so!

I believe each event runs long enough to give you more tickets than you need, so you should be alright missing a day or two.

I think I'm on 7, but not sure if I just haven't picked up today's ticket (I'm not sure what time the server's daily reset is).

Spreads went delve and WB farming in Bangkorai to kill two birds: plunder skulls for her collection (82/100 now) and to pick up Spriggan's stuff as a backup for Taminwe.

Tami is trying to put together a set of Briarheart, and has two daggers and a collar so far. We've been looking in all the chests we can find in Wrothgar, and doing a daily there, too. The Robust rings are significantly more expensive than the Arcane or Healthy ones, and now I know why.

Another instance of the AI in the RNG. For a whole year, my crew has been collecting thing to deconstruct and research, without ever finding an Infused Pauldron. So I asked mALX to make one for Laurie. Taminwe found one in a chest in Wrothgar in between my asking, and mALX sending it back.

I had Minx research it, and make more for the rest of the crew, as she could do that in half a day. Laurie's is going to take three weeks.

Khajiit has been arranging and rearranging things at Exorcised Coven Cottage, Autumns Gate, and The Psjic Villa like crazy and everything has been a-ok. No hurricane bug and all (two) of our stations work at ECC.

Did you get the pack with the witchy versions? The cauldron provisioning and the stump alchemy ones? I like those, but I'm not sure the whole package is worth it.

Khajiit’s crew is having a similar problem with a sharpened inferno staff. It’s the last one Mira needs in that line and nobody in the crew has found one

Trey the banana thief! Abiene feels his pain. She has accidentally swiped alchemy bottles off the writ turnin crates many times. As if she would need a shop-made potion!


Today Elke had the rare joy of crafting two gold staves (Julianos) and enchanting them for Jerric. She did it in the glorious new Guild Hall, of course. He has never used a gold staff before and was about to switch to a stamina build for a while, but the new patch made his spear and beam abilities way too fun.

Also, there’s a Provisioning cauldron?! *runs to Crown store*

The furnishing pack is the same price as the house! I want those separately for gems - or writ vouchers, like the other ones.

Yes, Khajiit had a bunch of crowns saved up so he got the witch coven furnishings. There’s a good deal there if you want to make your place spooky (this suits Brenna perfectly). Otherwise, maybe try to get the Alchemical and provisioning cauldron separately, if you can. Swing by Witchwood (what we are calling the Exorcised Coven Cottage) if you want to see some of the items in the bundle. It’s set as our crew’s primary residence for now.

Unna insists that we save our crowns in case the Snow Bear comes back for New Life. She'll also want the firelogs provisioning station that's supposed to happen then.

That's why Spreads is trying to get the Exorcised Coven Cottage for gold, which needs the achievement.

Yikes, it’s in the whole pack! There is a lot of nice stuff in there, though. Pretty hide rugs, mossy trees, and I love the thematic alchemy and provisioning stations. Darnand is part fen witch on his mother’s side, he would love a bog retreat. If he could keep the books dry, of course.

However a log provisioning station sounds awesome, and I’m sure that will come in a pricey pack, too. Maybe with some gorgeous New Life greenery. My Crown supply hits in Sun’s Dusk. Hmm.

Khajiit, I love Brenna’s Witchwood. Very nice! Jerric tried out the alchemy setup while he was there.

In any case, Brenna and Sorai have told Khajiit that there needs to be a third sister in their coven. That means, unfortunately, that either someone has got to go, or Khajiit needs to buy an additional character slot. What to do? What. To. Do.
