If true to form, alot of focus will be on CWC dailies - including the WBs. I would be surprised if there is not almost a constant large group at both WBs. I recall a Gold Coast event and, during that event, both the Arena and Minotaur WBs were constantly surrounded by a score of two of players. I bet the CWC event will be a great time for young chars to turn those WBs white. smile.gif

Yeah probably. Do either of those give a motif like the Gold Coast WBs?
hazmick
Cirinwe will also be sticking to delves for her dailies, though as Acadian said there are plenty of people around so she may just tag the WBs once to get them done with.

We used the event tickets we'd already collected to grab the first Indrik feather, since we forgot to buy it the other week. This event should give everyone enough tickets to end up with 3 feathers worth (so those of us who don't do dungeons will be able to rest easy for the next event).

Not likely to use the Indrik as a mount, but it will make a charming garden ornament.

Looks like the Apostle motif is dropping. Buffy got a couple bits from the CWC dailies today.

We opened 8 Slagtown coffers today. No Apostle motif chapters. Yesterday Razak did get an Apostle Axe chapter though.

Khajiit didn’t have any lag earlier today. Finding resource nodes for the daily before other players snatched them up was a bit of a problem though.
Acadian
It was crowded for sure! The two poor WBs were swarmed. Metalman lasted exactly 6 seconds! Mirocucrow lasted a bit longer only because he flew up in the air a couple times. And I agree on the resource nodes - between Buffy's gracious nature and short little legs it took her a long time and lots of nodes disappearing in front of her before she could get her quota. laugh.gif

8 more Slagtown reward coffers opened and Razak now has Apostle Shoulders and staves in addition to the axes he got the day before the event.

I guess we've gotten 4-5 Apostle motifs and 1 Ebonshadow (?) motif. Without the event I'm sure the dailies are fine but during a crowded event like this the competition for non-shared nodes required for numerous dailies is very. . . tedious. After yesterday I dropped the non delve/WB dailies. Will soon drop the delves too probably. I know the event is the event but I ever so much more enjoy normal undaunted delve / FG / MG dailies.

Khajiit has discovered that nodes are easier to get to on the periphery of the zone. Most of the other folks fight over the ones closer to the shrines and what not.

Agreed. Buffy found the most irritating to be the metalman WB where you (and hundreds of your closest friends) have a tiny circle in which to all find 8 non-sharing plaque things. And many are guarded so a player killing the defenders to get the plaque gets the plaque taken by another player while fighting off the defenders. . . . kvright.gif

The Mirocrow WB is fine though since the 'waves' of foes are 'sharable' by all who toss in some hits.

Welp, I got my Gilded Indrik Feather. I guess I'll continue until I fill up my Ticket cap so I don't have to do much for the next event.

Are any of your other characters able to be loaded? If so, go to one of them and put in a "Help" report on it rather than a /bug report. The reason is, the Help ones seem to get responded to very quickly, while the /bug reports seem to go nowhere fast.

Grits
Thank you very much, I did as you suggested and got a response. We'll see where it goes. Mikken is stuck there too now, since I couldn't resist trying some things in case they would help Jerric.

Amazingly my six month ESO Plus membership renews tomorrow, whew! Cancelled it just in time. I'm sure eventually they will try to get him back, but in the meantime I don't want the thought that I'm wasting money make me waste more time.

This happened a few years ago, everyone who logged off in Coldharbour couldn't load up just those characters. My friend Aussie only had one character, so she had to make a new character to send them a Help message. She was mad because she never wanted another character, but they fixed it really quickly (and she decided to keep the second character).

The Dev's don't work on the weekend, so they will see your problem/report today; and when it is a whole area like that causing the problem = there will be many others with the same problem. This is something they will fix in an emergency maintenance; so it will be handled VERY quickly.

Also, don't forget that if you stop your Plus membership upgrade = your bank account 480 slots will go down to 220; your houses that are 600 slots will go down to 300 slots, etc. (so stopping the Plus membership will hurt you more than them; it won't make good leverage) - but don't worry, they will jump on fixing this just like they did a few years ago when this happened.

Today I bought the "For Blood, For Glory, For Honor" music box and placed it on the tea table in Strident Springs Demense because the song elicits a strong emotional reaction in me that I can't quite explain but I absolutely needed it for my Squad because after years their story is over and I love them. I also miss the original login music

Though Buffy's primary and fave house is her Snugpod, she did get the music box and put it in her second fave house (Flaming Nix) and simply loves it. happy.gif

WooHoo! Welcome back to Jerric - time to get loaded! wink.gif

Buffy's a happy elf. She has two feathers and 12/12 tix. She's happy because she no longer feels obliged to go to Clockwork City each day with hundreds of dear friends competing for limited quest objects. She's been outrun (short legs), knocked over (small elf) and had nodes stolen while she was fighting monsters guarding them enough for one event. laugh.gif

So today's the first day you can get Murkmire if you've been logging in regularly (I think?). I wonder if that means the Elder Argonian motif is going to be released soon. I'd hate it if it wasn't until next year, tbh.

That aside, today I capped my Event Ticket count so Ruben's gotta find another source of EXP for the last 2 levels. He still has the Tier 5 alliance zones to get the skyshards from, so hopefully that's enough. Otherwise it's just Jewelry and Provisioning writs :/

ghastley
Unna has been resisting a trip to Cyrodill for Vigor/Caltrops, so we tried Battlegrounds as an alternative. It seems to work. She runs around like a headless chicken for five minutes and gets 7k AP for being on the losing team. She doesn't even use up her soul gems to get resurrected, which is good, as she averages about 9 deaths per round. We'll stop at Caltrops; nothing else in that line is needed. Then, it's back to Undaunted dailies, or maybe even pledges with the new tools in the box.

Everyone else is just doing their crafting research, but they all need the same sorts of skill additions that will take some grind and leaving their comfort zones. Minx still has to finish the main quest and reach level 50, but she's almost completed her mount training.
treydog
Trey let Jerric carry him in his backpack on a run through the first part of Fungal Grotto. Buffy provided her usual stellar support- so Trey managed to avoid dying. He might have swatted a mudcrab or two along the way...

Many thanks to Grits and Acadian for an excellent session!

All credit to Buffy, she is a host unto herself! wub.gif Jerric loved that dungeon run with friends. He is still picking crab meat out of his teeth.

Holy Crap I Did It Ruben's a real boy now.

He was my first official Bank Mule, as evidenced by the fact that he has a real name. He was then made into a "backup" crafter that I played on and off again.

With Jewelry crafting added, he's now the official Jeweler, and it's ALL he crafts. Prolly won't use him for anything but crafting, but at least he can get his own surveys now.
ghastley
I have Battleground Burn-out. Unna, Blossom and Taminwe have all picked up their Vigor and Caltrops, and Laurie and Cat Man Dhou have got their Warhorns. Minx did the starter one, but she's gone back to the MQ for now.

The Sorcs look like they can do without any, but I'm sure they have their own grind to do.

Wow, you've really gotten a lot accomplished! So...do you have any tips or advice for a new player going into the Battlegrounds? I've only gone in them once during the Midyear Mayhem a few years ago (to get the achievement). I had to keep going in till I got a team that could win, but they sure didn't have my help doing it, lol. Britta spent all her time dead or resurrecting, lol. Grats to Ruben!

Like mALX, I've been following ghastley's progress with battlegrounds since I've never done one. The variations of Buffy that carry bow/bow have gotten Vigror & Caltrops by joining keep capture groups in Cyrodiil, stacking on the crown and shooting from the middle of the pack. It has worked okay but am intrigued by ghastley's progress. I've also seen others recommending battlegrounds on the official forums. Fortunately, when Buffy is carrying staff/staff there is not really anything in the Alliance skills she wants so she can forego PvP completely.

Just that it's exactly the way to play it. You get the 7k AP for coming last with zero points, so it just doesn't matter what happens. Since it's a timed mini-game, your progress rate is guaranteed. Go whack away and die often, but have fun! My team did get zero points twice in a row! I'm sort of proud of that.

I noticed that most of my deaths were to proc sets I couldn't get yet, or even the Caltrops etc. I was there to get. There are obviously players who specialize in BG, and you can't beat those.

FWIW, I did get a few wins, with Kamikaze tactics. Whenever my team got the chaos ball, or another team's relic, I would just leap into attacking the pursuit group, to slow them down. That often was enough to let my team get the extra points we needed by reaching base, or adding to our possession time.

Laurie and Cat Man Dhou even manage to carry the chaos ball a couple of times, as that's an appropriate tank role. Just run and hide, as you get points for time of possession. I think some didn't realise that you don't take it home, like the relic game.

That is exactly what I did in trying to get that achievement for Britta = I just kept PUG'ing her in until she chanced on a team that was good enough to carry her (she was absolutely their worst member). Her armor worked well in PvP in Cyrodiil; but in those Battlegrounds its Proc'ing didn't seem to affect the Players at all.

When I'm going to Cyrodiil a lot with a character; I do change their CP points around so it is optimized for PvP; but if you get the AP points without winning in the Battlegrounds = no need to go through all that; which is another bonus!

The Cyrodiil PvP seemed to be a lot easier; and a lot more fun for me (I love doing the Alliance War) = but it does take a lot longer to raise your levels in Cyrodiil.

Britta had a blast in Cyrodiil; I loved that Alliance War! Taking and defending the Keeps; repairing them after a battle; spying on the enemies in those scouting missions; taking the enemy's Elder Scrolls and trying to get them back to your Alliance before they catch you = that Alliance war is Awesome fun!

Unfortunately; I think my PC was getting too worn out to handle the combat down there ever since that patch they put in during Midyear Mayhem two years ago. It started freezing up and making a loud beeping noise through the headset every time I got into combat down there = even combat with the NPC's! I've only gone back for the skyshards since then; or to the Imperial City Sewers and districts (where the computer didn't freeze up in combat).

I suspect Cyrodiil is faster if you don't die often, but BG provides a minumum rate of AP. One scouting quest in Cyro takes as long as a BG game, and gets 500, and only if you don't die on the way there. You need support to get AP in Cyro, but in BG you don't. So for players without guild help, BG seems to be the faster.
mALX

Well I'm going to try it! Is the AP what gives you the skill ups in the Alliance War lines? And if so, then why don't we get skill- ups from the AP we've been getting in our daily rewards these past few months?

Also, if we get the skill ups from the AP = and we can bank AP; why can't we just have the characters pull the AP from the bank and get the skill up from it (then put it back in the bank and have the next character take it?).

I guess what I'm asking is = how does it work?

ghastley
It's the character that accepts the log-in reward that gets credit for acquiring the AP, and it does count towards skill-ups. However, one level takes 30,000, 60,000, or 90,000 (for levels 4, 5 and six, where you get Warhorn, Vigor, and Caltrops) so the 2,000 at a time doesn't go far. It's 1/4 of one BG round, and it's for one character maximum, on the days it happens. We haven't received enough AP in total for one level-up in Alliance, even if we carefully took them all on one character.

Transfers between characters don't acquire any more AP for the account, so do nothing. You can't transfer between players, only one player's characters via the bank. Banking your AP doesn't lose your skill-up record, as it only counts it coming in from outside.

The only "currency" you can send to another player is gold. You can also send items as gifts, that may or may not be tradable for other stuff, but AP seems account-locked until you spend it on stuff and the reverse transactions can't get back AP. Just like you can't trade things for writ vouchers, or event tickets. All the things you get with the secondary currencies can only be sold for gold.
