Perhaps I should. They seem to put their doors opening directly into thin air or the Earth's crust. Strange folk, my subjects. indifferent.gif

They could at least make stairs, lol

You can also summon swarms of rats to devour your enemies, shoot them with various weapons, teleport around the map with a spell and, my personal favourite, stop time just as someone shoots at you, possess them and then walk them in front of their bullet. The irony is delicious.
King Of Beasts
Oh my god. I need that game. It...it sounds awesome!
Colonel Mustard
It absolutely rocks. One of my favourites, definitely.

I was suppose to get it but my mother borrowed all my money to help pay for groceries and bills. So I have to wait until Friday. Made me angry because I like to buy games, especially games like GTA, the hour it comes out. At least I did it for Skyrim.

At 15 minutes after midnight on 11/11/11 we were loading Skyrim on the 360, lol. Bless your mom's heart though - feeding the family is pretty important. Hug_emoticon.gif (The hug is for both of you). I know it is frustrating to be two days behind on a new game. You are a good son to help her out. <333 wub.gif

Talking of which...Not sure about what I'm doing with it yet, but I loaded up J'Zirlo yesterday and enjoyed walking around in a tank for a while...

I actually had my copy of Skyrim arrive a day early in the post; I got home on the evening of the 10/11/11, saw it had arrived and was like 'install it! Install it!'. And then my PC told me 'I'm sorry, but this game is not yet released. Please wait until tomorrow'.

I believe I may have yelled something rather rude rather loudly.

Not to sound like a dick but you seem to mention how much you hate steam just for the sake of mentioning how much you hate steam
Rohirrim
Minecraft, not Rogyptian Villamid, I'm exploring a new world, inspired by the Lewis & Clark Expedition.

As Captain Clark once wrote: "Ocian in view. O! The joy."
Rohirrim
I named all the expeditionary pets after the people involved, which leads to some interesting conversations...

"Goddammit, Jean-Baptiste, get over here!"
"Clark, GET OUT OF THE WATER. WHY WOULD YOU GO IN THE WATER?!"
"F*** you Meriwether, I don't have time for this!"
Kiln
There are lots of valid reasons to hate Steam.

Yes,there is but does he have to bring it up again and again?

It may be me(and I don't wanna start any drama) but to me it seems he feels superior for playing non-steam games so he feels the need to repeat.(Like somekind of anti-redditor BAH DUM TIS)
Acadian
ImpSnob, let's please stop with the borderline snipes at other members here. When you have to begin your statements with disclaimers such as, 'I don't want to be a dick, but...' or 'I don't want to start any drama, but...' or 'No offense, but...' - - - that should be your clue that what follows is probably going to be perceived as snarky.

To debate the merits of Steam is fine and I'm not trying to discourage that. Please, let's keep it to the merits or drawbacks of Steam though, without criticizing the preferences or presuming about the motivations of others. If someone makes a post not directed at you that you simply find irritating, then just ignore that post. M'kay? smile.gif
ImperialSnob
OK but I wasn't sniping or anything, mircuo is still ma homie,I clearly took the post the wrong way.

Sorry
mirocu
Just for the record, I donīt feel superior for not playing Steam games. If anything thatīs a very stupid thing to feel superior about. I just like to throw remarks at other gamers who do play Steam games, much like I throw out remarks about anything else! tongue.gif
But I never do it out of spite or to "feel superior". Steam could be an excellent service and I bet it is, I just wish we as gamers werenīt forced to use it in the name of piracy.

Did you play 1 and 2?
King Coin
Still playing a lot of Sins of a Solar Empire between Skyrim. smile.gif

I finally managed to snap a screenshot of a combined fleet just before they jumped to a hostile planet. The blue glow that you can see is activation of their faster-than-light engines. There are a few hundred ships there ranging in size from fighter craft to massive capital ships.
mirocu
Nice pixie, mr Coin smile.gif I sometimes play Star Wars: Rebellion and itīs not nearly as complicated as your game looks! tongue.gif
King Coin
I've never played Rebellion, so I couldn't tell you if it is! The combat AI in Sins is relatively smart so you do not have to micromanage the ships if you do not want to. You mainly just give fleet orders and let the individual ships take care of themselves.
Elisabeth Hollow
I'm about to restart Dishonoured wub.gif

In Rebellion you have a choice whether or not you want to give orders to individual ships. I find that much more interesting but unfortunately the puter that can play it is so bad it lags so heavily if I micromanage a battle with 300 fighters, on each side!! laugh.gif

Did you play 1 and 2?

I played 2, but not 1. In 2, my character bore a startling resemblance to Gordon Brown, which made the game absolutely ludicrous in the best way possible.
ImperialSnob
Well 1 was a bit...more than a bit bad but the story was alright,2 was brilliant!

Do you prefer 2 or 4?

I way prefer 2 because it's less wacky and I prefer old Shaundi and old Saints and I believe 3 should of focused on hunting down Dex(the guy who helped blow you up at the end of 1 which led to being in a coma in 2).
Elisabeth Hollow
Wow, thanks, dude. Now I know the whole story and don't wanna play it anymore.
ImperialSnob
That's only spoilers for 1,1 wasn't very good.

And for 2,being blown up happens at the very end of 1(which you don't need to play)and you're in a coma at the very very very start of 2.

Dex is barely mentioned in 2 and 3 and 4 are basicly diffrent game series all together with only the same charcters and just barely the same as they change Shaundi drasticly just for sex appeal.
Colonel Mustard
I'm finding myself preferring 4, so far. 2 is hella fun and remains one of my favourite sandbox games (as well as a welcome tonic after I'd been stung by the disappointing snore-fest that was GTA 4), but number 4 is completely insane and keeps making me laugh again and again. To be honest, though, considering how different the two games are, I'd be hard pressed to say which one is actually better.

But yeah, Liz, you really aren't missing much if you miss out Saint's Row 1. That was just a GTA clone and nothing more.
Kiln
Diablo 3. I used to love RPGs like this but honestly it is hard to enjoy these button mashing games with really high 3rd person camera angles after being spoiled by the detailed open world games that we enjoy today.
ImperialSnob
I can see how you wouldn't like ARPG's that focus mainly on button mashing but boy do I love em and their loot!

Torchlight 2 is awesome!

Also Akinator is haunted man,it's so rarely wrong!
mirocu
Did anyone play Dungeon Keeper? I read so much about it when it came out and it sounded quite fun, although a bit too sadistic for my tastes tongue.gif
Acadian
Kiln, I spent many years in Diablo II and its expansion. Not very deep roleplay of course but, for some reason, I quite enjoyed playing my mystic archer bowazon there. But yes, it did challenge the speed and dexterity of my older fingers. Fondly remember doing countless gem shrine runs. Then she moved to Baldur's Gate II and spent quite a few years there before transitioning to our current home in Cyrodiil. My problem is always that several generations of games whiz past before I'm anywhere near ready to move on. I mean I've only been playing Oblivion for just over a mere six years now. I joke that when I'm ready for a new game, it may be something like TES XIV or Baldur's Gate IX. laugh.gif It'll always be a medieval fantasy RPG of some sort though.

Oh, Impie, what does the A mean in ARPG?
