I have increased the demand for internet censorship by publishing yet another Train Simulator video. This one sees a (British) Great Western Railway (GWR) class 3031 "Dean Single" steam loco pull GWR Concertina Coaches along Western Branch Lines, a WIP SteamWorkshop route. The video's outro got hit by an unwarranted Copyright Claim. Knowing I can't win despite being in the right, I substituted a less apt closer. It is what it is.

Just finished an enjoyable 1hr passenger excursion from Portsmouth to Liss, driving an SECR class C in Southern unlined black livery, pulling five ExSECR 'birdcage' coaches in Southern Green. The trip was particularly interesting due to...
1) I bought this DTG route for around three bucks during a Steam Sale (it's an older route, from 2012) and had never gotten around to using it. Turns out, scenery is surprisingly well done, for its day. At least the part of the route I drove is. Much of it is suburban, lots of frequent station-stops, with occasional lengthy stretches of countryside to allow the train to strut its stuff unhindered.
2) After a few quickly aborted attempts driving locos I decided weren't ideally suited to the run, I settled on an SECR Class C, a third-party loco I'd not driven since early in my TS2021 stay, back when I didn't know how to drive steam locos. (As if I know now. LOL) It fits the role of a suburban passenger hauler right well, and is fun to drive.
Had one nerve-racking moment when, while off in la-la land admiring trackside scenery, I checked the HUD and found myself barreling toward a fast approaching station-stop. I had no idea if I could stop the train in time. The answer turned out to be yes, I could, without discomforting passengers. (The game measures and dings you for that). But I was sweating bullets there for a bit.
I enjoy the run well enough to consider 'filming' it for an upcoming video episode or two.

Oh, that is funny about your emergency (almost) stop!

Yeah it is ... after the fact.

If there's one thing bugs me to no end, it's overshooting a station stop. (Which didn't happen in this case.) It somehow embarrasses me, even though I'm the only one who will ever see it happen. We'll, who knows? Maybe I'll include a station overshoot in some future video, if I feel it serves a useful purpose. I did, after all, publish a video where I overshoot a red signal.
And of course I've published another TS2021 video, the continuation and conclusion of the passenger run begun the previous episode. No pro-level Train Sim drivers' egos were harmed during the making of this episode:

Another TS2021 video, my third on Western Branch Lines (Steam Workshop route). This one has two strikes against it from the get go. First, I've a copyright claim on the intro music. I chose not to dispute it despite being in the right. Second, YT processing isn't only kind to visuals. I rendered out a second upload copy in case the issue was on my end. Nope. After upload and processing, it looked every bit as distorted as the first, possibly a bit more so. It is what it is.

Only after upload and processing did I realize that my conclusion as to when the locomotive could have been loaned to WBL is very likely incorrect.

Recently made my first visits in forever to Trainz 2019. Can no longer drive its steam train in expert mode. It doesn't help that the sliders for Regulator and Reverser are reversed from how TS2021 placed them. Worse, the game kept crashing on me. I later notice that my Trainz 2019 install was somewhat out of date. After scratching my head over this for some time, it dawned on my that, early this year, I opted into the SP2 beta. The game is now on SP4. Digging through the game's Steam properties, I found the Beta opt-in box, cancelled out of SP2, and voilà, Trainz 2019 automatically updated to SP4. The one SP4 session I played since then didn't crash, though I didn't play long enough to truly test stability. On a happy note, during that session, choppiness seemed substantially reduced.
Related, one of my fave Trainz routes, Healesville, is getting a total makeover to Trainz 2019 standards. Alas, it's such a substantial redo that it's considered a separate product, not an update to current Healesville. Thus, I'll need to pay full price for it. It's 'very' tempting. The first Trainz product that's tempted me since switching allegiance to Train Simulator.

My ever lengthening gaming slump continues. Only, now it's more than a simple slump. In a sense it's always been a more than a slump. The difference now is that I have physical limitations that make gaming impractical (but not impossible) even should I want to resume it.
Looking back, I believe this current slump began when I received notification of YouTube's upcoming 2-step verification requirement. At that point I had (and still have) footage 'in the can' for one further Train Simulator episode plus three long-delayed Transport Fever 1 episodes, as well as firm plans for capturing two further TS2021 episodes. But when 2-step rear its ugly head, I lost all incentive to work on any of these projects, or play games just to play them. This lack of incentive didn't change once I discovered that 2-step likely doesn't apply to me.
Now that my right hand is messed up, gaming is even less tempting. I can still use mouse and keyboard (duh!) as is obvious, if awkwardly. But, I've discovered that my hand brace digs into my mouse pad. This might not be a dig deal except that my pad is also my mouse recharging station. A rather expensive mouse/pad combo I like very much. I don't dare damage the pad. I'm as careful as I can be using the mouse due to this, but know I'd lapse while seriously gaming. So gaming is out for now, at least until my followup appointment, when it will be determined if my damage will heal on its own over time or require physical repair. Hey, no one ever said being decrepit is easy.

This morning, I drove an LSWR (SR) M7, hauling passengers, on Riviera Line in the Fifties, Train Simulator route. Not sure why it is rated three marks. There's nothing to it: a circa 30-minute run with two station stops. The 70min passenger run on North Lincolnshire I drove the other day is, if anything, a tad more complicated, yet is rate two marks. Not that difficulty ratings matter in the least, so long as I enjoy myself, which I did in both instances.
I am pleasantly surprised to find the M7 pleasant to drive. I've not driven it since early on, and recall it being a hassle. I suspect my issue with it back then was that I was not yet used to 'reverser lock/drift' and didn't understand 'brake-lapping', both of which the M7 implements.
