I don't remember; has Khajiit played the original Deus Ex? Another game I will push for everyone to play biggrin.gif

I haven’t played any of those. I may check and see if one is on sale some time.
mirocu
Highly, HIGHLY recommend the first one. If you're into stealth, problem solving and looking for alternate routes to your objectives. Oh, and if you like enormously atmospheric music and wearing shades at night biggrin.gif
mirocu
Well, I'm back in Rapture after nine years! Pretty cool to see it all again smile.gif

Slight worry though; I had two random freeze-ups prompting me to get the task manager up and quit the game that way and then re-enter. This sure is gonna make me save more often than I really want to.

Anyway, I don't remember when you get the research camera but I hope to find it soon so I can research that sweet, sweet Drill Dash! biggrin.gif

How is it set up? Is it hubs or individual levels unconnected from each other?
mirocu
Not hubs like VtM:B but rather one map after another in which you roam around and complete a mission, sometimes side quests and other things, and then you move on to the next map. How you complete missions/side quests has an effect throughout the game and will generate different dialogues and sometimes even affect the fate of important NPCs.

Sounds a lot like Dishonored with how it’s setup. Probably took some design inspiration from it, since Dishonored is also a stealth oriented game.
mirocu
Yeah, I think that's a possibility.

If it's cheap and easy to find, Khajiit should not rob himself of the experience of playing that game. Deus Ex, I mean biggrin.gif

Bioshock 2

I have decided to play this on Sundays now, but I just couldn't resist some today. I've just arrived in Ryan's Amusements and had a bit of a look-see. Pretty nice place. Oh; and I've just fought another Big Daddy for the first time and adopted my very first Little Sister!

As a proud Big Daddy Delta I'm now taking her around to look for some ADAM. I may also need to actually buy some more ammo because I will need it when my Sister collects the ADAM. Still no sign of the reasearch camera. I really, really want to find it...
mirocu
Bioshock 2

Today I got ADAM and rescued my first Little Sister. I also got out of Ryan's Amusements and is now in Pauper's Drop. One annoying things about the Bioshock games; Splicers keep spawning in so you can never clear an area completely. If you go back to a previously cleared one, new ones are there. A bit realistic maybe in a way, but also an irritating ammo waste mechanic.

Bioshock 2

A longer session tonight. Harvested two bodies for ADAM and then saved the Little Sister who did it. But fear not; I have a new one already who will also harvest two bodies before being rescued and returned back into a normal girl. Also wandered around looking for supplies and the research camera which I think I'm on to now. Found a recorded message which had a hint.

Fights are tough so I'm spending ADAM to upgrade health. Splicers are not easy when they attack in groups from all around you.
Dark Reaper
Sorry for not having posted any new RE0 episodes. My sister bought me the Steam version of Palworld and I've been playing that a lot lately he he he biggrin.gif .
mirocu
Yeah, I've been wondering about that. Not wanting to be one to tell people what to do but I sure have missed those RE0 episodes on my Sundays. I really enjoy them with my coffee happy.gif

--------------------

Really long Bioshock 2 session last night. Cleared out the entire Pauper's Drop actually, including harvesting two bodies and of course saving the two Little Sisters. I also had another fight with a Big Sister but this one was much easier than before, not least because I finally found the research camera and managed to research the Drill Dash ability! Finally the drill is a truly useful thing! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

To top it all off I found and spared Grace Holloway, the A-A singer, despite her having sent a ton of Splicers my way. But just as I realised on my first playthrough, her hatred towards Delta was purely a misunderstanding. Well, more or less anyway. Saving her not only is a huge contribution to the very best ending but you also get some help along the way from her in the form of flying security bots.

Anyway, new level reached now and I can already hear Splicers fight amongst themselves so I reckon this should be good biggrin.gif

Bioshock 2; Siren's Alley

Went on a massive three hour straight session last night. Didn't intend to but there was so much going on and I just wanted to keep going because it was so much fun biggrin.gif

Fights are getting easier now, even with Brutes and Big Sisters due to the research camera which exploits enemies' weaknesses. I do have a hard time switching things up combat-wise which btw is necessary for a speedy research. Reason I have a hard time is because I'm trying to limit how many plasmids I have available since it's a pain to find the right one in the middle of combat. So I don't have too many options when fighting. Still, research is ongoing because it's still worth it.

Three more Little Sisters saved and I got my first carebear package as thanks for saving them! I will add that so far during this playthrough I have accidentally hit Harvest on the Little Sisters twice but thankfully I can immediately hit ESC and reload the latest save (which I do even after a hard fight it this happens) and I don't have to sit through that awful animation first. I hate that it's happened twice but I just treat it as getting killed and then reload.

Anyway; onwards!
mirocu
Bioshock 2, Fontaine Futuristics

Notwithstanding the problems encountered in this map, I had a pretty good run tonight. All three Little Sisters saved, one Big Sister defeated, lots of research done and I also upgraded three plasmids up to max level since I had over 1000 ADAM and nothing else to spend it on as I have all tonic slots unlocked and max health and EVE (or so it seems anyway).

Slightly on the bad side; I'm running low on certain very useful ammo and money. However both are quite plentiful in containers and on enemies so I reckon I'll be able to stock up on that soon.

Also; I'm coming up on where I get to play as a Little Sister myself, seeing the city of Rapture how they see it which is all nice and pretty instead of how it really is which is broken and rundown biggrin.gif

Bioshock 2, Inner Persephone

This is it, guys, I'm coming up on the endgame! Final area, Eleanor is with me in her Big Sister suit and we now have to reach the escape sub to the surface! Not a whole lot left to do. I did up my health and EVE a bit more and switched out some tonics to better help with my defenses. No more hacking tonics needed.

I also got to play as a Little Sister and see Rapture how they are conditioned to see it all clean and with nice drapes everywhere and everyone in tuxedos. This is also the part where you see statues depicting how you treated three key NPCs. If you spare them you see Delta carrying Grace Holloway and reaching out to a kneeling Stanley Poole. Otherwise you see Delta with the drill raised and ready to strike. First time playing eight years ago I didn't spare Stanley which in retrospect I should have. He may be selfish and a sneaky b**tard, but he's not pure evil.
I did however in both playthroughs end Gil Alexander and that is because he knew he would go mad and so left instructions on how to kill him, something he over and over begs you to do as he doesn't want to live like a madman.

Since I saved every Little Sister, Eleanor is turning into a good'un. She saved the Little Sister I got to play as because she saw how I saved the rest of them throughout the game. Her turning out good is also displayed in some telepathic messages to Delta.

I reckon next session will be the last so stay tuned!

"And then father, the Rapture dream was over. You taught me that 'evil' is just a word. Under the skin, it's simple pain. For you, mercy was victory. You sacrificed, you endured, and when given the chance, you forgave. Always. Mother believed this world was irredeemable, but she was wrong, Father. We are Utopia, you and I, and in forgiving, we left the door open for her."

But... I don't remember you putting the black statue on the scales. It's been a month sure, but when did you do that?

Also, what was that cutscene where they said "It doesn't make any sense" ?

I might have accidently cut some scenes while editing to keep it under 60 min, sorry about that. If it's the cutscene I'm thinking of it was between Berkin and Wesker.

Well, things happen. Thanks for the upload anyway! biggrin.gif

Same area but more developed

It's sometimes hard to see any progress, but that's often due to instead of posh houses being built there are large lawns, tennis courts or swimming pools.

The area left for me to build on is getting smaller

Buffy's spending time in ESO, Diablo II Resurrected and Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition - in that order.

Ah, the joys of interdimensional travels biggrin.gif

As for me I of course have a one-off character in each game I play, first-person anyway. And since it's spring I now play Fallout 3 and SimCity 3000 aside Oblivion, obviously happy.gif
Sakiri
I never could do the "same character, different universes" thing really.

I've been in ESO, while my gaming buddy is playing it with me, and Skyrim while I sleep. Lol.
TheCheshireKhajiit
I do have certain characters that I play versions of in different universes or time periods than the ones they were originally created for, but they are never the same person. For instance, my character Brenna, was originally created for Skyrim, but a different Brenna turned up in 2E Tamriel and Faerun in Baldur’s Gate 3. My Fallout character, Désirée Devreaux, currently has an incarnation zooming around the galaxy in Starfield. They all stick to roughly the same skill sets as the original character. Like, Brenna is always a spellcaster with a side of melee, and Dez is always a smooth talker that likes to use automatic rifles if things need to get deaded.
SubRosa
I do it all the time now. Most of the characters I currently play are literary ones, who make the jump from the page to the video games. Like January, Blood Raven, Avery, or Ryo. I still do play Hecate from time to time. She's my favorite Fallout 3 character who has traveled the other Fallout games, and Skyrim and a few others.
Sakiri
Most of mine instead end up related somehow. Like all my Nords are surnamed Winterborn. In ESO rn I have Fjalar and Lissana Winterborn. Skyrim had Kynlora, Kynlara, Annika among others.

My ESO main though is an oddball, she's named after a Cruxshadows album, Dreamcypher.

It's been a good while since I last posted here. Here's another of my TSC steam train rail tour image installments, linked from the official Dovetail forums.

I have been playing Dragon's Dogma 2 since it came out on 22 March. I play on PS5 as my PC is no where near being able to run it. Besides, PlayStation is Capcom's native platform, then they port the game to Xbox and PC. People have been complaining of poor performance, but on PS5 it plays smooth as can be.

I'm 300 hours in, I've completed the first playthrough with all the quests that I could find - but I didn't find them all. Then you get New Game + where you keep your level and gear and restart the game. But the game has changed! The world is still unleveled the same as before, and the quests are the same, but some collection quests got carried over, some caves got new areas, etc. I've been finding more quests that I'd missed the first time around, too. I am half way the second playthrough.

I read a post someone saying they've done 200 hours and are already on their SEVENTH playthrough... blink.gif It seems to me, they missed the entire game - it is mostly about exploration, the main quest line is indeed quite short. So what's the point repeating the same twenty quests over and over again? I don't get it... But as they say, each to their own.
Dark Reaper
Because I like pain I decided to buy Dark Souls 3. I need to keep my Elden Ring skills sharp.

Yet another Train Simulator Classic screenshot set from me, in which several images are doctored to represent old, damages photos (or film stills).

I'm mulling setting up Daggerfall on my"new" primary PC. Most of the mods I run have had multiple updates since the version housed on what will soon be my secondary computer (but is at the moment a half-assembled mess). Thing is, a couple of my favorite graphics addons don't work with the latest Unit builds. It's kept me from installing the game on this PC, but once the secondary PC is up and running, there's no reason I can't keep the "old" DFU build going there, and install the "new" build here.
Acadian
Nice shots! Those doctored ones do indeed look like old photographs. Good luck with old Daggerfall on your old PC.
