I have neither console nor Switch, and I use the Parallels only for Skyrim. However, Aloy and the Watchers/Tallneck do make appearances as holos in my current favorite game, Death Stranding (playing that for the fourth time - love the story that drives this game). And when I customize my structures with the Watchers, my BB loves the holos. Tallneck scares me every time I see it, because it's so BIIIIIG . . . .

Sounds like a fun game regardless.

Star Wars: Rebellion

I now reign (somewhat) supreme in the three sectors Sesswenna, Corellian and Fakir. TIE Defenders and Imperial II Star Destroyers have been researched and now I just await the mighty Super Star Destroyer. I can wait a bit however as I first need to build up the necessary mines and refineries in order to have the maintenance points to support them.

I'm playing Turok 2 Seeds of Evil Remaster for the PC. Actually plays well with keyboard and mouse. Lair of the Blind Ones is by far my most disliked level. It's so mazy and you can get lost real quickly.

That is the Turok 2 equivalent of The Big Cheat from Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. Basically gives you access to all of the cheats available.

I think RBNSMITH was the big cheat code in the first Turok game.

Speaking of Turok, I just beat Turok 2 on PC. No cheats, all weapons and all Talismans. Also got the good ending.

Star Wars: Rebellion

Some major setbacks today in the Corellia sector. Rebel fleets kept assaulting planets and they even managed to destroy two of my own fleets! ohmy.gif Too few squadrons was the main issue.
Thanks to my many Advanced Shipyards I was soon able to build two new fleets, one of them containing almost 90 TIE Defender squadrons which finally managed to destroy the annoying rebel fleet once I caught up with them.

Meanwhile I have my Main Fleet up and running with which I have swayed another sector to my side and is now working on yet another. The number of Super Star Destroyers is only six at this point, but with 72 sqaudrons of TIE Defenders I'm pretty well set for now. More will be added when possible however.
Dark Reaper
I just bought Turok 1 (boy this game is WAAAAY different than Turok 2!), Star Control 1&2 AND because I love punishing myself Darks Souls Remastered. All for the PC.
Oh and I got Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for the Switch and its a fun game! Also you play Zelda for once.

Star Wars: Rebellion

Things are shaping up. Although I had a major setback in which I lost an entire fleet yet again, a new one is already in its place. Two more Super Star Destroyers have been added to the Main Fleet which btw has taken to the Outer Rim as I now have the entire Inner Core.

Every sector also have its own fleet for protection with a sizeable presence of TIE Defenders.

It can be VERY overwhelming as the difficulty has been kicked up a notch. Speaking of Dark Souls, I bought Dark Souls from Steam. I've beaten Elden Ring and the DLC surly DS should be cake--------------------------------------------------------right???

I didn’t find LoZ:TotK to be that difficult, I just got worn down by the constant fiddling with machines and what not.
Dark Reaper
Good news and bad news.

First the bad news:

After playing Azur Lane for nearly 6+ years I lost my account and can't recover it, so all my ships that I've unlocked and skins that I've bought for them are gone! On top of that I got robbed some Wisdom Cubes (which are needed to unlock new ships) so that pissed me off.

Now the good:

I did file a complaint with Google Play and got my 20.00 bucks back which I used for a couple of other games I'm playing including this beautiful game!!!
mirocu
That sucks, Reaper! Losing all that time, dedication, progress and not to mention money ohmy.gif

Good enough I s'pose you got your money back. At least that's something. Have fun with your new game!

Star Wars: Rebellion

I have now entered the final phase of the game where I simply scour the Outer Rim for the hidden rebel base. Luke Skywalker and Senator Mon Mothma have been captured, which besides the rebel base is a requirement for winning the game. Four more Super Star Destroyers have been added to the Main Fleet, bringing the total up to fifteen plus the two Interdictor Cruisers needed for preventing enemy starships from escaping an encounter.

Every sector in the Inner Core are well protected by a big fleet with around 60 TIE Defender squadrons and at Coruscant the number of TIE Fighters are now up to 400 squadrons. Add to that a fleet of Imperial II Star Destroyers and 60 Defender squadrons. There isn't a snowball's chance in a sauna it will be overtaken now. My Main Fleet has 180 squadrons for example, and that is indeed a huge fleet.

Only a matter of time now.

Just a minor update today.

I keep going through the Outer Rim and I have increased the number of TIE Fighters at Coruscant to 500, only because I have gained so much more maintenance points so I thought why not.

Star Wars: Rebellion

Breezing through the Outer Rim, only a handful sectors left now. Nothing more worth noting other than a few additions of Imperial II Star Destroyers and fighters across the Inner Core.

Bought a new game two weeks ago, my first in some years. As an early assess title I followed it off and on for several years. Reading that its official version 1.0 release was scheduled for 5 Dec, I took the plunge 4 Dec, since buying prior to release netted me a small discount plus the game’s first (admittedly small) DLC. The title? Railroads Online, a mixture of empire building, railway network creation, and user-controlled train driving, playable either multiplayer or single-player.

Version 1.0 comes with four maps, each with the option to use either the creators’ pre-built railway network or start from scratch with only industries in place. I chose the latter. I didn’t make it easy for myself, selecting one of two “large” maps, with sometimes drastic height differences between destinations.

I’ve been playing it to obsession since purchase. Haven’t gotten far route-building-wise. That said, I’ve laid lots of track and driven a good many freight delivery/pickup runs. A highlight is my Logging Camp to Sawmill run where the track hugs a mountainside as it descends to the lake on which the Mill is located. On the other hand, my route from Depot to Smelter to Iron Mine initially had so much faulty track-work that, during its initial test drive, the train derailed so often I earned the game’s “Master of Disaster” award, and ended up relaying almost every inch of track. Such is life.

Today’s RO adventures are of a more mundane sort. I laid rails from Depot to Wheat farm, a distance of only a mile or so, and since then have been constantly delivering Seed Pallets to the farm, a rather monotonous chore. I’ll be at it a while longer before the farm maxes out on seeds. (I’ll then need to supply it with water, obtained from a facility very near the sawmill.)

Star Wars: Rebellion

And that, as they say, was that. Having gone through the final four sectors in the Outer Rim I found the hidden rebel base and after sending Palpsie to his Seat of Power at Coruscant, I ordered a bombardment of military installations on the last planet and roll credits.

For now... wink.gif

I had it on Xbox360 back in the day. It’s really good, even if you don’t particularly like Westerns, I feel.

I feel like I would like both RDR and New Vegas because I like Westerns but I won't get them because I can't accept online requirements (PC only here as you know). Besides, I'm so set in my gaming ways now I simply can't get another open world game tongue.gif

Which game has the better guns; RDR or Vegas?

Which game has the better guns; RDR or Vegas?

It’s apples and oranges honestly. RDR guns are only guns that existed in 1911 and prior. There’s enough variety to keep one happy. Revolvers, repeating rifles, lever guns, shotguns, bolt action military rifles, and a couple of autoloader handguns. As a Fallout game, New Vegas’s armaments are all over the place in their variations. From western style guns, to modern assault rifles, to energy weapons and explosive payload deliverers.

I continue to play Railroads Online, to the neglect of almost all else. Steam shows that I purchased it on December 5, 2024, and, as the session ended not long ago, have played 242.3 hours. Needless to say, I enjoy it. I'm also fairly inept at it, though rarely disastrously so. My most common error is forgetting that I'm not playing Train Simulator Classic and manipulating RO's loco HUD controls incorrectly, using the regulator instead of the brake and vice versa. Otherwise, I'm overly forgetful in a game that often requires frequent intricate maneuvers. At least I'm getting somewhat better at laying adequate trackwork. Sometimes. Next session will be devoted to a run from the Depot to the Sawmill for Planks and Beams, then maybe a run to the Coal Mine to deliver Beams and load up on Coal. That's the plan at any rate.

Here's the beginning of (link) another Train Simulator Classic screenshot series (link), and a personal favorite.

A few images from Railroads Online. Alas, I do not know how to remove the entirety of the HUD for captures.

The D&RG Class 25 "Montezuma" 2-4-0 tendered wood-burning steam loco. This is one of the three options players choose between at the launch of a new game/map. Here we see it fairly early in my current playthrough, at the Iron Smelter, having just unloaded cars full of cordwood, one of the industry's two requirements. Montezuma was later downgraded to hauling less demanding runs and recently has been mothballed in a roundhouse.

Montezuma's replacement as the map's workhouse, a Mason Bogie "Tenmile" 2-6-6T coal-burning steam loco. It is seen hugging a cliffside while climbing out of the Sawmill/well area with a full load of beams, planks, and water for delivery to the wheat farm and two other industries. Much as I enjoy driving this loco, it too eventually became underpowered at hauling my longest/heaviest trains. It is now relegated to lesser tasks, such as delivering seed pallets to the wheat farm, a short drive on fairly level track.

My current workhouse, a Uintah Railway 0-6-2T coal-burner. Despite its smaller size, it has nearly twice the tractive effort of the "Tenmile" and handles all but the tightest curves with ease, making it a better match for my railway system. We are again at the Iron Smelter. Not only has cordwood been unloaded, but the loco has also been "turned" on the smelter's turntable and reattached to the train for its return to the central depot's holding yard.
TheCheshireKhajiit
