I loved the Yu-Gi-Oh! game I played on the DS but I forgot the name of it,it wasn't a WC game I think.

I feel like I'm the only person that liked Yu-Gi-Oh DX(or GX or...what ever,it's been a while).

I also liked playing YGO(I'm not gonna type it out again tongue.gif)IRL.

I've played all the ones on the DS, from Nightmare Troubadour onwards, damn good games, though I'll admit the AI could've been better.

I love the cartoons too, before they reached the whole Zexal (or whatever it's called) thing they've got now.

I've still got a backpack full of cards, just got no-one to play against. sad.gif

That said, all my decks are horrifically out of date laugh.gif

I'd recommend getting one, but when it comes to handhelds I'm a dedicated Nintendo fan, ever since I bought a Gameboy Pocket and started playing Pokemon Red. So my opinion is definitely biased biggrin.gif

I don't really use the 3d on it though, I just wanted it for the better games. The one issue I have with my 360 is that you just can't get strategic RPGs for it, and between DS and 3DS games I've got 6 or 7 I can play smile.gif

That said, as with any console, it all comes down to the games you want to play.

You guys had me looking at it too. Only $10 makes is attractive. I just don't know how long I could keep my interest in a game that is end to end zombie bashing though. It seems like it would get repetitive very quickly.

From what I have read of it, it does have an open world. I also found out that like so many console ports, you cannot truly save anywhere in the game. In fact, it does not seem to have any way to manually save at all. When you quit to the main menu the game makes an auto save of all your equipment. Then when you start again later it puts you in the starting area of whatever zone you are in. Not where you were when you quit.

I agree.

It's the sort of thing that sounds like it'll save the player time and effort.

And then it goes wrong.

Another one that bugs me is Dragon's Dogma's save system. It autosaves, and you can manually save, but you only get one save file. I want multiple files mad.gif

Dark Souls has something similar, but I can forgive it that. The whole game is supposed to be a challenge, after all.

Heh, then you'd hate the game I'm playing at the moment. It's called Star Traders RPG, it's a game on my phone. It's a sort of old school RPG, set in space, with permadeath. You can play on one of the lowest two difficulty settings and not have that, but I like playing with permadeath smile.gif And it's autosave only.

Bloody good game though

Bravely Default. Silly name, but what can you do?

I've only just reached the point where the game becomes playable. Up until that point I was treated, in typical Square Enix fashion, to a series of staggeringly beautiful cutscenes. One of them was triggered by an AR Marker, and it made use of the 3DS' gyroscopic sensor, or whatever it's called. So I got a cutscene where I actually had to turn around to track what was happening, which I thought was brilliant.

Unfortunately I was watching them all in 3D, so I've decided to give my eyes a break for a while. I don't use the 3D often, barely ever in all honesty, but those cutscenes looked too good to pass up.

Red Dead Redemption.

Thus far it's bouncong back and forth between great and [censored]. There are some fantastic elements of it, but then I run into things like poker. Where there's not even the remotest hint of conisitency or common sense. They'll check their way through hands while holding a full house, then go all in on a pair of 6s. wacko.gif

Then there's the horse riding, which is unnecessarily cumbersome. Riding from one place to another is fine, it works well and everything looks good. Trying for any degree of precision, and it all goes straight to hell.

Seems okay so far, though I'm still using te freebie weapons from the start. Did have one guy take four shots at range and still not die, and all I could see of him was his upper body, so that was really annoying.

Meh, when it comes to Warhammer 40K games, I prefer strategy to shooter. Being a space marine seems like it would make for a bit of a boring game. Gentically engineered superhuman with the best weapons and armour available? I'll pass.

Dawn of War, on the other hand, is a fantastic game, and cheap to get these days.
