I've got back in to playing Overwatch recently. Having a blast, trying out characters that I might not have payed much attention to in the past. Fun!
RaderOfTheLostArk
It's over. I finally beat Turok 2. What a slog to get those last few items. I may have been a bit harsh before, but I still take issue with the things I brought up, namely level design and the map. Oh well. It's done now.

I really am not sure what to start next. Probably should get on System Shock or F.E.A.R. since I already have those downloaded, but I also really want to start Divinity II.
Dark Reaper
Thought I'd buy Arkham Knight off of PSN, I love that series. I also need to get the Arkham Asylum and City game too.
RaderOfTheLostArk
I have started my first playthrough of F.E.A.R. About an hour and a half or so into it, and it's pretty good so far. Good atmosphere. It isn't scary, but there is a sense of uneasiness.

Also, after trying to mess around with key configurations for a bit and just giving up on that, I started up Clive Barker's Undying. It was an interesting looking game powered by the original Unreal engine, but GOG is literally the only place I had actually heard of it. Although for some reason it is not obvious what key heals you and you annoyingly have to hit Fn and F3 to access my journal, I am going to continue with it later on. Might play through F.E.A.R. first.

I adore the Arkham series. I found Knight to be a bit disappointing, but it was a great game. City, on the other hand, is one of my top 5 games of all-time.

I loved Undying. I played that back when it was new.

According to the manual, health packs are stored in your inventory. The F and V keys cycle through it, and the [] keys. Enter or Q uses whatever is selected in the inventory.

Been watching the missus play The Oder: 1886. Anyone play that when it came out? It came pre-loaded on my PS4, but I never really gave it a shot.

That was kind of a Steampunk game if Khajiit remembers correctly? Something about using "advanced Victorian technology" to stop a degenerate form of humans from taking over everything, or something?
hazmick
I didn't have a PS4 when it first came out, and never got around to buying now that I do have the console. I've heard mixed reviews about the story, but from what I've seen the game looked fun enough. Steampunk vs monsters is a great concept.
Kane
BritishKitty, yep. Advanced guns designed by Tesla and such.

Hazard, I didn't see much of the story, but it did indeed look fun. Half breeds, i think they called the beasts.

Oh man, this is one of those games I had interest in playing but never really got around to it. Maybe it's time to finally do that.

Playing a new game that was a Kickstarter called Friday the 13 the Game and its basically a hide and go kill type of game. There's a few was to win, one is simply outlasting the game timer, two get the phone fixed and call the police which gives you a 5 min. countdown and once it counts down you can flee and the last way is to fix the cars and try to flee that way. So far its a fun little game but needs some stability for the servers.
Decrepit
Gotta admit I've played no games in weeks. It began when I finally committed myself to assembling a new PC...to play games with better graphic quality than is now possible. Since then I've had next to no desire to fire up any game, and likely won't until the new rig is up and running, assuming all goes well. <crosses fingers>

Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero on the Switch, FINALLY something else to play on that thing other then Legend of Zelda. I think I might get Shovel Knight in the future.

You plan on getting Skyrim when it comes out for Switch?

Downloaded the free trial for Final Fantasy XIV and played around for a couple of hours. Beautiful game, great depth, really really enjoyed it, but the monthly subscription on the full version of the game is a no-go for me. I'll stick with the free trial for now just so I can hang out in the game with friends.

You bet, even though I have it on the PS4 it will still be nice to have an Elder Scrolls game on the go happy.gif. Speaking of which I need to finish the Coldharbour mission in Online so I can finally return to Vvardenfell biggrin.gif .

Or you could just start a new character. New characters start on Vvardenfell now. Talk about weird design decisions. You can level up pretty far as Soul Shriven without actually being Soul Shriven, lol

No thanks I worked to hard on my current character to start a new one from scratch, beside I don't think I have much left to do in Coldharbour, after that's done there's the Harbourage missions then its off to Morrowind wink.gif.

Lol, Khajiit was mostly joking. The way new characters start now is mind bogglingly weird.

I know the starting area changed a little when I last did it on the PC version then migrated to the PS4 version. Still I'm looking forward to Skyrim in VR, I just wander if there's going to be an update to the one already on the PS4 or do you have to make another purchase?
RaderOfTheLostArk
ESO has been what I've played mostly this past week, but I am thinking of take a week or two break from it soon. Other than that, it has been mostly F.E.A.R.

Also forgot to mention before that I started the original System Shock a couple weeks ago. I know the game is from 1994, but boy, are the controls and interface clunky. I would like to go back to it sometime, but it may be a real slog to play through if I can't get used to it.
Dark Reaper
I beat Shantae: 1/2 Genie Hero and I have to say the game was a blast to play but that last level was a pain. Well it's back to Breath of the Wild I guess.
Callidus Thorn
I'm back to playing Skyrim again. I'd rather play Oblivion, but frankly I'm too tired lately to really be up for it. So I've got an Altmer sort-of-Battlemage tearing around Skyrim. Fairly good fun.

I finally finished the Coldharbour campaign and did the Harborage Mission where we defeated Mannimarco in Sancre Tor, so I think there should be only one more mission left---till then it's Vvardenfell time....once I figure out how to get there.

Khajiit is reasonably sure you can find boats to Vvardenfell or wayshrine there.
RaderOfTheLostArk
Played some more F.E.A.R. last night, with a little bit of ESO. Going to try to zero in on finishing F.E.A.R. this weekend and then switch over to Clive Barker's Undying.

I've also had a bit of an urge to go back to Half-Life and Unreal lately, so I may play those a bit this weekend too.

I found a boat in Mornhold in the Desaan region, I have to say I'm a little disappointed in the DLC, Vvardenfell has been shrunken and most of the NPCs don't talk to you, you can't explore the islands north of Vvardenfell where Vas is it at-oh you can try but you're attacked by Slaughter Fish and if you manage to avoid that then the finger of god will kill you and lastly-----it doesn't have that nostalgia feel, a lot of the places don't look the same, Balmora doesn't look the same and a lot of the wilderness is kinda empty with the occasion of a nix-hound, guar and Cliff Strider. In all the only thing the Morrowind DLC makes you do is want to go back and play TES III: Morrowind again.

Edit:
Here's a video I made giving my two cents on the new DLC .

I decided to re-download Steam on my laptop (it is suppose to be a gaming laptop after all) and decided to install all the Ys games I had in my account, also not sure if Steam did an update but now there's configuration file that lets you remap some of the buttons on the controller, kinda nice to be able to press the start or select button again. BTW the game I'm playing now is Ys 1. I have:

Ys 1.
Ys 2.
Oath in Felghana.
Ark of Napishtim.

Scratch that Steam seems to have cease working on my laptop...at least I have a Centipede mini arcade.

Lately I've been tempted to get back into Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage. It's an old, honestly half-baked N64 game, but it's my half-baked N64 game, y'know? (That and Quest 64; I just really took to the system's few RPG's)

Not really from the beginning but picking up where I left off the last time I played. Close to the end, iirc, but still.

I need a new game. Maybe Bastard Bonds?

Playing Cars 3 on the PS4, its a pretty fun racer but I wish they had some kind of stats for each racers, hard to tell who's fast without picking them.

I went back to Knight of the Old Republic yesterday, after modding a head to make Persephone.

I also started playing Rise of the Tomb Raider. But I am not sure if I will stick with it. Too many cinematics, and not enough game to actually play.

KOTOR!

Quick question:
When you play as Persephone do you also play under the knowledge that she is also , or do you have a mod that lets you play as not ?

Lightning's pretty good but I've found others that are better, Cruz Romero is a pretty good one. Sally is probably the worst racer which is odd since she's suppose to be a Porsche.

Hmm, Khajiit was only basing that on the fact that LM was/is the poster car for the films. Good to know that was not the case, though they should have stats listed so you know "is this car better at speed or maneuverability?".

She may have walked among the stars for thousands of years before the events of Kotor 1. Or she might have just popped in from Skyrim after Revan was captured. There are lots of possibilities with a character like Persephone.

Constant CTD's won't let me record an old character and leave so I could play a new one.

Very nice! Do you use an ENB to achieve the rich coloring seen here? I hope to do something similar with my in-progress experimental Oblivion install. Thus far it's eluded me. Just installed Oblivion Reloaded. I know it CAN be used with an ENB, but for now I'd rather stick with ENBoost for performance and theoretic stability. Besides, in my opinion nothing touches OR for Oblivion water quality.

Since we're showing new game images, I'll link another OCOv2 experimental Hamfat, this time near the Imperial Prison. As can be seen I need to do something to improve grass (amongst other things), which still looks decidedly vanilla. This, by the way, is a different version of Hamfat than that seen in other shots, less a sourpuss.

That was actually a joke, which I guess no one got. The pic is from Rise of the Tomb Raider. That outfit she is wearing made me think of of Skyrim the instant I saw it. TBH, it is a much better suit of mail armor than I have ever seen in a Bethesda game.

But on the subject of ENBs, I never use them. I have tried them in the past because supposedly they can help with performance. Maybe they do for other people, but they never helped with micro-stutter with me. The first two or three times I tried they flat out did not work, and usually did nothing, or made the screen really bright and washed out all the colors. The few times I ever got an ENB to actually work I was utterly unimressed, and quickly went back to the vanilla game.

I auditioned Cinematic ENB for Oblivion the other day. It installed without issue and did some very nice things (but needed tweaking). Like you, performance suffered. Ended up removing it. Thus far Oblivion Reloaded has behaved. Of course I use it in conjunct with ENBoost, which in my opinion is most definitely worth installing. It doesn't alter visuals, just makes Oblivion theoretically more stable and allows it to use appreciably more memory. I attempted to use it in my second play-through, with less than sterling success. Works like a charm in the experimental play-through, and as mentioned (?) plays nice with Oblivion Reloaded. OR does a number of things I don't like, but those can be turned off either by INI settings or OR's in-game console. (A few are buggy and NEED to be disable. Thankfully those happen to be ones I don't want.)

There's no OSR Skyrim equivalent? An odd omission for sure. I swear by OSR too. Oddly, for the experimental install I needed to reduce heap size from 1024 to 768. I also run MoreHeap, set to the same heap size.

There is no OSR for Skyrim. I don't think there is one for Fallout 4 either. I guess whoever made it for the older games moved on to other things. Sadly. sad.gif It helps me tremendously with Oblivion, Fallout 3, and New Vegas.
