Chipīs Challenge!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Something strange happened yesterday, it has happened before but I didnīt take action then. For some reason, sometimes an extra option pops up in the menu which says Ignore Password or something like that. Itīs checked too which means one can use the key command and just go through every level until the end. This option vanishes soon afterwards and then you have to use passwords again, but if you went through it all fast enough then you can have every level accessable without having to beat any of them!

Had only three levels left so I didnīt "win" too much, but since I canīt beat the higher levels due to impatientness Iīm happy to finally see that last ones!! biggrin.gif

The last three levels weren't as bad as they seem, I had more trouble with some of the lower levels - a couple of them I was never able to complete.

But the game adds up your score for each level, so if you pass a level you won't have that score. You can retake levels to up your score on each (by being faster, etc). I have gotten that option only when I have tried and failed numerous times to pass a certain level, and it only took me up to the next level. Yes, I did skip several levels that way at first, but then went back to them when I had more patience and had learned a few tricks, lol.

Yeah, sometimes Melinda lets you skip to the next level and Iīve gotten that too. This was something different though.

I beat Mind Block but not the other ones. I have however beaten a few I never thought Iīd be able to, but once I took my time and, like you, learned a few tricks it wasnīt so difficult. Iīve also re-beaten many levels much faster than I initially did smile.gif

The last level is one of the easier ones - all it takes is remembering which blocks have fire under them and making your path to the right place.

If the one before Mind Block is that force field one - I HATE that level! I've passed it ONCE, and by the time I did I was ready to curse, lol.

Playing a little Borderlands 2 today, Tiny Tina never ceases to amuse rollinglaugh.gif

Her name alone suggests I would like her as well... biggrin.gif

She's actually introduced in the game as the world's deadliest 13 year old. She's completely insane, and is a demolitions expert.

She also gets her own DLC, where she's the Dungeonmaster for a game of Bunkers and Badasses laugh.gif

If she wasn't so funny, she'd be creepy as Hel.

One of them is beatable, you just have to hit the right squares and keep getting back on the slides till you hit the right ones. But that last one just sucks.

Currently playing around with a mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion called Sins of the Prophets, which converts the entire game into a real-time space strategy game based on the Halo universe. Only been tinkering with it for a bit, but it looks pretty damn impressive; some parts are just a reskin of vanilla SoaSE, but the ship stats reflect the lore of the Halo games well and it's fun to take the scale of the game's space battles and put a Halo spin on them.

I'm tempted to start a log of a game session, actually; larger games can last longer than 24 hours and can be absolutely spectacular once you've got large fleets supported by capital ships. It's a pretty damn awesome game.

Probably not, but the possibility that the two of them might get along means it's not worth the risk of finding out rollinglaugh.gif

Still playing Borderlands 2.

Thinking of starting a new run with Gaige, just because Maya's too damn quiet. She barely ever says anything. It's kinda boring, to be honest.

Also, being able to summon up a fighting robot named Deathtrap is awesome biggrin.gif

I'm playing a couple of 3DS games, mostly, at the moment. I picked up 2048 for like Ģ1.20 from the Nintendo eshop, which manages to be compelling, fun, and infuriating.

But the main one is Fantasy Life. It's pretty much the closest game to Rune Factory 4 available to the 3DS in Europe at the moment, and it's damn good fun. Right now I'm running round as a Magician with a black bird called Huginn biggrin.gif

And once I'm done with this game it'll be back to Rune Factory 3, to play a magic user who wields a spear biggrin.gif

Today Iīve played Arena on the PC and some Darkwing Duck, Robocop and Action 52 on the NES biggrin.gif

Five Nights at Freddy's.

I'm scared and I love it!

I'll be starting on Borderlands the Pre-Sequel when m y husband gets home from school. I'll be playing as Clap Trap. Really, I just want to see Mister Torgue! I love him to bits!!

I dunno, River kills people with math and geometry...plus guns. Still though, she's a quirky but overtly (near the end of the series) hardcore character.

Today I got Track & Field II in the mail. Still pretty fun events, though I donīt like the ones where all you do is push a button to fill up a stamina bar. But it was in great condition and came complete with box, manual, plastic case and the note you could send in to Nintendo here and get a free subscription on the magazine.

I also played some Action 52 laugh.gif

Playing the Dragon Age series to get ready for DA3!

"Uninvited" for the NES biggrin.gif

Itīs a game similar to Shadowgate and Deja Vu which means common logic on how to use things isnīt applied here. For instance, I just threw a paralyzed spider on a ghost to get rid of him! laugh.gif

Currently Iīm back in Star Wars Rebellion. Still fun to play even after 3000+ sessions! laugh.gif

Still OCD'ing along with Borderlands 2. My mechromancer just picked up a legendary shotgun called Swiss Deliverance.

Like all Tediore weapons, when reloaded it is "thrown" and explodes while a new one "digistructs" in the player character's hands.

Except this one does not simply arc away and explode... it flies slowly toward the enemy, shooting as it goes, bumping off of walls and other surfaces, until it reaches an opponent- and THEN it explodes. I can watch that for long minutes at a time, laughing.

Working on Dead Space 2 and my brother got me Alien Isolation for my birthday smile.gif I just started the very beginning, so no aliens yet!

mirocu
Nice to see ya back, Impy! biggrin.gif

Second time I beat it actually. But the first time was quite a while ago.. tongue.gif

I wrapped up Wasteland 2 today. So now it is time for a new game. The new (well from two years ago) X-Com game is definitely on my list. But after WL2 I think I have had enough squad-level, turn-based, strategy for a while. So I think I am going back to another First/Third person action game. Since I am still in the mood for post apocalyptic, I think I will try out either some FONV or FO3.

Thanks to Pseron Wyrd, I have had an idea for Molly Hatchet - you guessed it, an axe-wielder - for a while now. She strikes me as someone perfect for Point Lookout. OTOH, I after playing Desert Rangers for the last two months, I am still in the mood for more Rangerin'. I have had an idea for an NCR/California Ranger character for FONV, someone I could do the main quest with. So maybe I will try that instead.
Jacki Dice
I played Chapter One of Tales of the Borderlands. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it, but I enjoyed A Wolf Among Us so I gave it a shot.

It reminds me of Choose Your Own Adventure books and I was surprised at the amount of action in it. Then again, it is still Borderlands. They kept with the same humor I've come to love and a few characters from the main games make an appearance.
Callidus Thorn
Playing Rune Factory 4.

This game is in fact a 3DS-based portable black hole, or a time machine or something.

Hours just get sucked into it, without the player really realising.

Damn good game. biggrin.gif

So I got myself Borderlands, the Pre-Sequel for Christmas. And then I looked over at the original Borderlands GOTY edition, which has been on the "gaming table" for some time. (As in... 5 or 6 months).

And I thought, "Well I should probably see how further I got with that..."

And quickly realized the answer was... I had never even loaded it up. (Head slap).

So I finished the main quest yesterday and started the first DLC- The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned" who is totally NOT based on Dr. Zed.

It is really fun to see the continuity (and the improvements) from the original game through the second. Most obvious example is that the 4 playable characters in BL (Roland, Lilith, Brick, and Mordecai) become NPCs in BL2.

Jacki- I also plan on looking at the Tales content. Please keep us posted on how that plays.

Xcom: Enemy Within is a fantastic game if you're a fan of turn based strategy. I've got it, but I've not gotten close to finishing it, partly because I bumped up the difficulty, and partly because all my other games kept getting in the way laugh.gif

The gameplay's damn good, the enemy AI is good enough to really be able to punish you for making mistakes, and the game does a fantastic job both of providing the right atmosphere for the game and at getting you attached to your soldiers. Losing a soldier you've taken from a rookie to a Colonel is a genuinely painful experience.

You even get a bunch of options that allow you to tweak the gameplay, which can really change the way it plays.

It's an awesome game, on so many levels.
Jacki Dice
I've been playing more Alien: Isolation. I'm about half-way done.

You know how people say that the most crushing loneliness is when you're lonely but surrounded by people? That's this game. There are people, but everything on the space station has everyone in little hostile clusters, so even if I hear them screaming for help I can't do anything.

There are creepy synthetics called Working Joes. They are horrible. They've malfunctioned and so they attack on sight while saying things like "You're becoming hysterical" or "Let me help" in their creepy monotone voice.

And then of course we have the alien herself. I think its just one, though I've seen people with chest-burster wounds, so who knows. If you run, she hears you. If you shoot at someone, she hears it immediately and rushes over. She travels in vents in the floors and ceilings, occasionally dripping her spit into puddles on the ground (gross). You can't hurt or outrun her. The best you can do is hide, so I have spent a good chunk of time hiding in a locker. I always try to look everywhere in games, but I'm usually trying to get to where I need to go without getting killed since there are no autosaves, only the occasional save point.

I love how they kept with the look of the Alien movies. Even though we know that future tech won't be teeny black screens with pixelated green letters, that's how it is here. It's very consistent, so it feels like it fits perfectly in the timeline somewhere.

I have the add-on that'll let me play as Ellen Ripley, but I haven't started it yet.

**Edit:

I have a flamethrower! Oh, this has made it so much easier! And what's really funny is when I need Melaina (my cat, for anyone who hasn't seen her) to move, but she won't, I take a body spray bottle or an air spray can and point it at her. I never spray her of course, but she is offended by the sounds they make and she runs off. Spraying the alien causes the same thing! Just one spritz and it runs off into a vent!

At first I thought I couldnīt save because I was in a tutorial, but I soon found out I couldnīt save at all and that GFWL was to blame. So before I uninstalled it and chalked it up as failure, I made one last search on how to work around it and it appears you can create an offline account with which you can play the game as usual and not having to deal with GFWL in any way.

So I chalked it up as success instead.. wink.gif

There are a few reasons. First and foremost I’ve never been a big fan of first person shooters. I play The Elder Scrolls almost entirely in third person. The only FPS games I’ve liked have been the Half Life series and, strangely enough, Star Wars: Republic Commandos... in fact, those games are the only reason I even wanted to try Bioshock.

When Bioshock dropped in Aug. 07 I was still working my way through Shivering Isles and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Then Half Life came back with the release of The Orange Box that Oct. Coupled with The Witcher (which my PC at the time could run) that took me into Nov. when Assassin’s Creed and the first Mass Effect came out (in retrospect, '07 was a great year for gamers). By the time I got around to Bioshock it was probably late summer ’08 and I just couldn’t get into it.

Oh dear god, was it good!! I mean, whatever exists beyond awesomeness square, thatīs where this game is!! Last fight was ridiculous! They just kept on coming! I had Eleanor to help me but holy moly, it didnīt stop! It wasnīt until awhile I figured out I had to shoot the tanks in order to flood the area. I was so full of adrenaline so I didnīt quite get what Eleanor said to me I should do.

Brave, brave Eleanor! She helped me as much as she could, and she freed the Little Sisters from pediatrics and helped them escape Rapture. And oh friggin god, the ending...

Now, let me make one thing perfectly clear. Iīm a man. A manly man. But Bioshock 1 and 2 endings both had me burst out in tears (manly)! I donīt do that, not even when Molle died did I cry, and I loved that cat to, well, death..

I did not harvest a single Little Sister in either game, and I didnīt kill Gracie in this one. Though I did put Stanley Poole to rest. It was actually what Eleanor said that helped me decide that..

BUT OH MY GOD, IT IS DONE!! BIOSHOCK 2 IS DONE!!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
