The game is ESO. The location is at the final boss fight in the group dungeon Volenfell. Not a great place to be if solo.

Renee, ESO is a gorgeous game not at all well represented by my Minimum graphics setting. Volenfell is a lost Dwemer city located in the Alik’r desert. I am a huge fan of the Dwemer ruins!

So it's not Dire Bramblepatch (as you say), it's not Caravan Crest either. I think it's not Druitularg's Altar either and I think it's not Mabrigash Burial Circle either. It could be the Grove of the Abomination or that hillock close to Narsis. I'm going to say the Grove of the Abomination, I remember some high rocks from that place, even the skeleton could be found between them.
