*Bzzt!* and *Bzzt!*
Here's a hint: The entire place gets locked up after we leave, but it's easy to get back in. The place also has and interior area, with some beds where soldiers are supposed to sleep, but one of ours cannot sleep here, for some odd reason.

Before I saw the hint, I thought of Helgen. Isn't that the ruined tower where you seek shelter during the tutorial?
When I read the hint, I think I'm right.

There's not many places with that little clutter, unless the building is a ruin. Is she back at Helgen, in a half-demolished house?

Falkreath doesn't neighbor Windhelm, though.

Nope. All holds that border Falkreath are wrong too. So that excludes some more from the previous hint.
The building she's in, isn't a ruin.

Jan 16 2017, 03:44 PM
Is she entering that place where she had to give up her soul to enter?
Acadian

Exactly - The threshold of the Soul Cairn. Though, I think Buffy made Acadian give up his instead of partially surrendering hers.

Thank you, Cain. Buffy used to clear Pinewatch every time she was in the Falkreath area.
Okay, what follows is an ESO shot but the location is remarkably similar in Skyrim. In fact, I think Skyrim players will find it much easier to name than ESO players.
ESO is so darn big with so many zones and provinces that using shots from the game can be challenging in this thread. Hopefully, this one will work. If it struggles, I'm prepared to add a series of progressive hints.
Anyway,
where is Buffy?
ghastley
Jan 19 2017, 06:32 PM
I'm not an ESO player, but it does look similar to Broken Helm Hollow in Skyrim. Is that an ESO location, too?
And trust Buffy to find a waterfall.
Acadian
Jan 19 2017, 07:27 PM
Yes! As I said, though it is an ESO shot, I wanted to encourage Skyrim players to guess as well. And you are usually quite good at 'reading' hints provided by surrounding terrain. It is fabulous how well ESO showcases known locations from previous games. Sometimes, like here, there is little change. Other times, they do a very nice job of what a ruin might have been like so long ago during the ESO timeframe.
You turn, ghastley!
