I am trying to recall who uses what - unfortunately I don't pay as much attention to the Mundus stones as I should . . .

I've used Thief, Shadow and Serpent Stones, but never really paid much attention to their effects. Maybe I would if I used Divines trait on my toons' armor . . .

If the Thief is truly nerfed as it seems, then I would go for the Shadow Stone as the next purchase.

I agree; on my early characters (before One Tamriel) I used to just get mine whichever stone I came across in my travels and stick with it unless I found a better one. Once I had access to whichever I wanted, I was better able to plan out which to use and by then Misa was in Divines, so it made a huge difference which I chose.

Britta is in all Nirnhoned, so with her I used to just take the Lord Stone for its health boost. Really thinking about trying the Lady for the added shielding now though, it really sounds good since the patch (but only if she isn't already at the ceiling on shielding allowed by game). I'll have to check it out to see what her stats do. If the change isn't worth it, I'll stick with the Lord stone on her.

It will really be nice when we get all the stones so we can do our own testing stats and tweaking our builds right here in our own Guild Hall.


** Anyone else have a request for the next Mundus Stone?

Here's my thinking on Thief. Sorc's heal on crits, up to once per second via their Surge aura so having a solid crit% is important to them. Sorcs are powerful and most of them were using the Thief since it was a no brainer. I despise 'balancing' but will admit that Thief was overperforming in that a serious meta sorc would not really consider other Mundus stones. So dropping the potential increase slightly put sorcs into a spin as they scramble to figure out which Mundus to use. The Thief remains an excellent choice; the change simply means that there are now other equally solid choices for sorcs.

Buffy the magsorc is continuing to use the Thief for now and she still easily 'procs' a solid heal every single second she is in combat.

Aha, this is what I was looking for = someone to let me know if or how the nerf affected them.

I checked it out on the PTS, really wasn't very impressed by it. Would have been much happier to get a small apartment in Anvil itself, that would have been an instant buy for me.

Okay, I've done a couple of the quests in the main questline in Clockwork City = FUN!!!!! And absolutely LOVING getting to do quests with Divayth Fyr again!!!

I'm glad that Pia the beta-squirrel is enjoying testing out the new draft content for us!

tbh I'm tempted to go through the entire questline on the PTS, if possible, but also want to wait so I can do it "for real" once it finally goes live.

I've only gotten as far as the actual city, but I like it so far, and I wonder whether what we're dealing with are shadows or Shadows. The...mechanics so far don't seem to line up with Shadows, so it's most likely shadows, or what Nocturnal has dominion over. Well, assuming Nocturnal is involved at all but then, come on, it's a little obvious.

(People have claimed that Shadows are also in Nocturnal's domain and Shadow Magic being Daedric Magic, which IMO is ridiculous since dominion over the multiverse would make her obscenely powerful)

Also, I can only assume the new writ delivery system works because my attempt at doing them with Fjotreid ended with constant crashes as I approached the turn-in location in Vvardenfell. (Also Provisioning is currently bugged lmao)

Some stuff about the new crown crates. Free crates can be earned by logging in every day between Friday the 22nd (tomorrow) and Sunday the 24th of September and defeating a monster or minion (not 100% sure what that means. Just any enemy?).

Oh cool, hazmick! Thanks for sharing. I'm betting the 'kill a monster' requirement is simply to dissuade token log ins - the intent, I should think, is to log in and actually play some. While I would never buy a crown crate for Buffy, she absolutely loves free ones! Looks like perfect attendance = 3 free crates (22, 23, 24 Sep) and will be awarded on the 27th. Woot!

The current skeletal and other stuff in the crates/crown store don't do anything for me. I guess that is good for saving crowns.

Kind of bad that they are only offering 3 crates as compared to five last time, but Khajiit supposes he shouldn't look a gift [skeleton] horse in the mouth!

I also don't want to burn myself out by doing it all before having to do it on the real server; so I skipped the fore-running quest that gives you the "see into the future" collectible; wouldn't do me much good to have that on the PTS anyway. I did start the main quest though. So far I'm impressed with the quests, the enemies, and the look and feel of the Clockwork City. It feels and looks like an alternate universe type place, they did that really well.

I won't be buying the "clockwork-style" house over there though; even though the view from the balcony was spectacular! I was more tempted by the new Wrothgar house coming out! That place was Awesome! (but I still won't be getting it). Also loved the new Target Practice Dummy = now I'm torn between that lower level centurian one and the new gladiator one as my favorite!

I got the Transmute Table up at the Guild Hall on the PTS, it is at the top of Buffy's Tower. I also set up a bunch of (plain) tables just to count out what I need to do/remove to make room for all the 38 crafting sets (counting Clockwork City as the last three sets since Monkey has the Imperial City tables). I have all 114 tables in plus the Transmute one; and with all the Mundus stones there is/will be still room for 18 more items!

So it def can be done, and still keep the feel of our courtyard and gathering spot by the water.. WOO HOO, I do love that PTS server for figuring out decorating issues if nothing else, lol.

WOO HOO! Octoberfest/Halloween/Witches Festival/Harvest Festival! Will a Dolman do? I'm all set to get my free crates! It doesn't say anywhere whether that is account wide or character wide...

Darnand is the one who bought the pony. His intent is to switch between pack pony while traveling and pet frog while puttering about, but when the pony followed him into the Enchanting shop he let it stay. Darnand has a quirky sense of humor. Who knew that a horse following him indoors would give him such joy?

Oh my gosh on the pony is right! Magnified of course with a horse-crazy elf. First time Buffy saw one in Elden Root, we had a big discussion. It was like a discussion with a nine year old girl who NEEEEDS a pony! What prevented its purchase was when I explained she would have to drop Kitsune to have the pony. Kitsune stayed.

That said, we don't have the piebald destrier. . . but now we have the shadowghost horse. Superian is as comfortable as Buffy about changing her hairstyle around to suit her mood. What sold us on the shadowghost horse was the blue eyes (Blue Eyes!) and lack of the very poorly done seam on other horses where the tail changes color from the horse's rump. White rump + white tail = no seam. The white mane horse and paint quite suffer from a poor seam and since I'm the one stuck with a view of horse butt, that seam has bothered me for some time. Lol.

Thanks a lot, A. Khajiit never noticed this with the horse tail before but now he'll be looking for it. Lol

Darnand might see his pony visiting the Guild Hall while there ... or it could be Buffy's pony when she is visiting! Either way, that pony is in the stables of the Guild Hall, lol.

One of these days I'm going to be putting horses similar to our member's horses in the stables so that when everyone visits it will look like their horse is in the stable area there. (as long as they are still purchase-able at the time I'm able to afford to do it).

Just did the quest with Jo'zira earlier today. Interesting how much focus there was in AD locations even when I ran it with an EP character on the PTS, but I could just be trying to find meaning where there is none. (Also Craglorn, which was a Jo'zira episode lol)

When I heard that the quest was live I was thinking that a release date for the Clockwork City was imminent and what do you know? The 23rd. Over a month on the PTS. Maybe they're really trying to hammer things out this time.

Well, I did this quest on the PTS and it was smooth as glass. On the live server it had issues. So go figure.

By the way, where was it announced that the quest went live? I am on their mailing list and got nothing on it! I just had already done it, so when I saw people running the path of the questline, went and checked the Mages Guild and sure enough - it was online!

I saw people talk about it on zone chat a day or two before the announcement of the DLC release date. They snuck it in, I guess.

Yes, because I checked after every patch; and it wasn't started yet. Oh, by the way = the PTS server just updated, do you know what that was about? Some Halloween stuff maybe?

Haven't checked it out but patch notes say more balancing, transmutation tweaks and bugfixes.
