Well this seems to be your usual new DLC stuff and--

Can't wait for the rest of the patch notes.

Also Chaos Ball sounds pretty fun and might get me to try out Battlegrounds tbh.

Well, rejected Naryu's costume on preview. I guess the good news on costumes is they are not costing me that much because most of them don't fit Buffy. This one (like the Glenmoril Witch robes) has no waist - and a small waist is really the only reason Buffy has a figure at all. The Telvanni robes have giant feet. Very tired of all the pirate super baggy pants being recycled into so many things. Most of the newer batch of blouses look stuffed with cotton to make the character look thicker than they are. There's a recent one with riding boots/pants but the blouse is basically a frame for boobs (sort of like the golden saint / dark seducer costumes) and Buffy doesn't have the goods to be wearing something like that. Oh well. The warden costume, Argonian kilt costumes look good and we have those.

Buffy uses the Cheerful personality and it suits her wonderfully. The new Sassy Assassin (I think that's what it is called) is very nice (on preview) but not quite as good for Buffy as what she has.

There is a guild mage robes costume but it is bundled with a bunch of other stuff that Buffy already has. What she'd really like is a stand alone guild mage outfit but the one that NPCs sometimes wear with pants instead of robes. Buffy really doesn't care for jumping through swamps, climbing trees or riding Superian wearing long robes.
TheCheshireKhajiit
Bought some crowns (1500) to add to what we had (750) in order to get Brenna the new Sabrecat. If you were paying attention to the amounts Khajiit posted then you probably realize Khajiit's error. The new Sabrecat is 2500 crowns, not the 2250 this one thought it was. Oh well. Perhaps Khajiit will spend the extra crowns on a personality or two. Not really digging the armor on it anyway. If the Reachmen trained them to be mounts, why don't they armor them more like themselves? The armor on the Sabrecat looks to be way better quality than the Reachmens armor.

Lildereth snapped up the Morag Tong costume and the sassy haircut. She likes that the costume has a cloth on the front to keep her hands dry but has none hanging down the back, which shows off her little acrobat’s bottom. The new personality is almost right for her – but it’s a bit too slouchy. Lil keeps her shoulders back to make the most of her Bosmeri charms. tongue.gif If I could give her the bounciness of Cheerful with the hand-on-hip from Naryu’s personality, she'd be happy with it. Maybe, lol.

Sola has the boob-keyhole outfit, and it looks great on her medium-sized frame. Poor Elke nearly ruptured something when she tried it on. It is definitely not for big girls.

Pog likes the baggy-pants farmer outfit. He and Jerric agree on the need for loose garments on their lower parts. Tight pants are greatly admired on others, however. laugh.gif

Anyways, Q3 DLC Patch Notes are up.

Things of note:
  • Three new motifs for Vvardenfell: Hlaalu, Redoran, and Telvanni, found by stealing which means Hates will have an incentive to hang around Vvardenfell aside from fishing. I wonder, will the droprate be as disgusting as Buoyant Armiger or will it actually be fair?
  • The Gold furniture recipes in the Master Writ Voucher are going away for a while and being replaced. Good thing I already started buying them, holy crap.
  • Writs are finally being fixed, but only Alchemy. Less Nirnroot now. So when are they fixing Provisioning? All I ever get are purple CP140 recipes now. How are people going to complete Master Provisining writs if they rely entirely on world drops?
  • Changes to traits again. Prosperous sounds interesting, but farewell Booty Shorts of Extra Tips. The Shaggy Bookeeper will miss you.

I am downloading the PTS update now. Guess I'll see what the damage is. Assuming I can craft anything. :V

Thank you for this! Bedtime reading. biggrin.gif

I noticed on first scan that the issue with perma-pets causing sorcs and wardens to emerge from ports with weapons drawn is fixed, as is the issue with sorc pets who are directed to attack causing the fight to start before they reach the enemy. Yay!
Acadian
Mostly looks good. Buffplar's Mage stone got a small buff while Buffsorc's Thief stone got a small nerf. Spike the foe-seeking clannfear got a speed boost and won't aggro foes he attacks until he actually gets to them - that's good.

The CP cap got a bump to 660 I guess. I've been asking why for the last three bumps. wacko.gif No increase in armor levels though - thankfully. I was never so glad as when I no longer needed to keep upgrading the silly armor.

Oh, thank you for posting these! I hate to see them remove/replace the gold furniture crafting recipes, urk. I purposely ignored them in order to build up vouchers for getting the Attunable crafting stations, urk.

On the stealing stuff - I read something somewhere about how hard it was to get the plans for the Skooma Pipe (like the one at the Guild Hall courtyard) - you had to pickpocket a certain NPC that was like a servant; but there were some called servants that weren't actually servants; so you had to read carefully which one was the correct one to pickpocket. So I am wondering if they will do this with those Motifs, too! Either way, I see a whole lot of dead NPC's in Vvardenfell's future when they catch Players trying to pick their pockets, laugh.gif

Overall I’m happy with most of the changes, or I should say I’m happy with the attention that went into most of the changes as well as what I think the intent behind them is. I am however baffled by the changes to how we will get certain furnishing plans. I don’t think I’ve placed more than one or two items since the price for blue and purple random recipes went up, though I have some items in the bank and empty houses waiting for them. Taking the gold recipes away before I can even afford them through the crappy Master Writ system kind of kills my enthusiasm for the whole housing system. Hopefully they have something fun in store for them, and I don’t mean in the Crown Crate store.

I wonder what the CP system will look like down the road. Increasing the cap doesn’t seem necessary to me right now.

Added: Bankable currencies is fantastic news. Very pleased about that!
TheCheshireKhajiit
So how does one get other currencies to put in the bank?
monkeyemoness
You get AP from doing PvP stuff in Cyrodiil and Battlegrounds. Also the Fighter's Guild bounties now, too. (I should remember to get Eolan to do those now and then)

Tel Var Stones come from monsters and other players in the Imperial City. You can also find big bags of them in chests and vaults and as quest rewards.

Writ Vouchers from completing Master Writs.

Man, sometimes I feel like I'm missing out. Even if I suck at PvP, I sort of want to give Cyrodiil another tour. It's been over a year since I've done anything outside of getting to the crafting stations in the IC.

Anyways, Grits, that's one of the reasons a friend of mine is turned off to housing and the game in general (aside from inflated prices). Getting both a house AND furniture needs a lot of time, money, and resources unless you want to use real money and get it all right away. More than is reasonable, IMO.

And with the swapping out of the Voucher vendor inventory, they REALLY should give everyone more than a month of notice given how long it takes to get vouchers. Maybe post dates when the inventory gets swapped. (If the current trend continues, then quarterly, so there's that?) Gross. Disgusting. I probably won't get everything by the time it's swapped out, but hey, I might so if it's any consolation I can probably craft them for people that want them. I can currently make the Poison Cabinet and the Orcish Fur Table.
TheCheshireKhajiit
Honestly, Khajiit hasn't been very interested in the housing. The ones you get for free are pleasant "random player free zones" and this one has spent a very small amount of time and resources furnishing them with green lvl furniture pieces.
mALX
Has anyone with access to the PTS server seen the new mansion behind the Kvatch Gladiator crafting station?

There is supposed to be a new one in Glenumbra and Vvardenfell (not Tel Galen, a new one) too; but I haven't found them. I heard they will be Crown Store only purchases and limited time sales. This Kvatch place is the size of a city!

The wolves are gorgeous, and the pet version certainly does look quite grown up compared to the puppy ones. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see them in game.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the house. It'd take a lot to convince Haa-Rei and Ciri to move out of Strident Springs but if anywhere can do it, Falkreath can.

Checked out some of the base game tweaks after the new patch. Quite a few changes to traits and mundus stones. And CP660 is the new cap.

After balking on countless costumes for the last several updates, Buffy was drawn to the new Falkreath Thane costume. It met plenty of things on her checklist: It has a waist! The feet are not huge. Knee-length mage type robe over pants. No shoulder flappers. No hip flappers. The only downside on preview was no utility pouch and it is a bit pricey at 1500 C. So I got it for her and she took it straight to the dye station. Happily, she was able to dye it nicely to her colors of forest green and buckskin tan. Happy elf! tongue.gif

Hazmick - Love Ciri's new wolf! From her time in Skyrim, Buffy gets the impression that 'elf butt' probably refers to the fact that most mermaids don't have hips judged ample enough to bear lots of strapping Nordic babies. Acadian, Buffy looks fabulous in her new outfit! It picked up her colors beautifully! A belt pouch would be great, but without one the narrow belt does an even better job showing off Buffy’s slender waist. Even the subtle arm guards are mage-worthy.

Hazmick, I love Ciri’s wolf pet! That is a fantastic picture of them. I have no idea what style armor she is wearing, but she looks magnificent! The snow makes a perfect backdrop.

As dear Buffy intuited, “elf butt” is Jerric saying “less meaty than a Nord” with his usual degree of tact. (I should note that even Nords do not escape Jerric’s indelicate commentaries. He recently described cousin Elke and her beloved Palomino as “that big blonde mare and her horse.”) ohmy.gif

Has anyone been following the changes to the Mundus Stones? I noticed they patched a new change since last week, but haven't seen anything new in the Patch notes since those on July 10 when they announced they would be changing them.

(I bolded the three we already have). Here is what they said then:

* The Apprentice: Increased Spell Damage to 238 from 167.

The Atronach: Increased Magicka Recovery to 238 from 167.

* The Lady: Now grants Spell Resistance in addition to Physical Resistance. Value increased to 2752 from 1980.

The Lover: Now grants 2752 Physical and Spell Penetration instead of granting Spell Resistance.

The Lord: Increased Max Health to 2231 from 1452.

The Mage: Increased Max Magicka to 2028 from 1320.

The Serpent: Increased Stamina Recovery to 238 from 167.

The Steed: Increased Health Recovery to 238 from 167.

The Thief: Reduced Critical Strike Chance to 9% from 11%.

The Tower: Increased Max Stamina to 2028 from 1320.

* The Warrior: Increased Weapon Damage to 238 from 167.

The Shadow and The Ritual remain unchanged."

Notice the Nerfing on the Thief stone? Not sure if we should get that stone right away till we see how badly the nerf affects our gameplay. And Ritual's explanations seemed awfully vague in the Wiki; does anyone use it that can give a clear idea of what it does? Just saying it remains unchanged is as vague as the Wiki's "increases healing effectiveness" without giving any percentages or details.

Let us really discuss these if possible; most especially if you notice any changes in your gameplay since the patch and whether it is going to change which Mundus you use, etc. I am really concerned about that reduction in the Thief; its effectiveness was questionable before, which is why Misa tended more toward the Shadow since the last time they nerfed the Thief. Now they are doing it again? Urgh.

But the biggest concern is in that the Mundus stones are actually costing real world money to buy them, not in game gold. I don't care how much I spend in game gold, it is easy come/easy go. But real world funds = I want to make sure what we get is going to benefit us. I hope to get all the Mundus stones eventually; but the order we do it in (I want to be from most productive to least).

So if anyone is having any issues since the patch nerfing/changes; please let us hear about it.

* Britta is using "The Lord," and so far has - if anything, liked the changes better than the previous.
