That is it - the right hat. I tinkered with dying it. The main part of the hat wants to be be kind of shiny no matter what color you dye it. The feathers are not dyable - they are perma-black. The band will dye and the decorations on the band will dye. The big advantage of this hat is that, if you have the DLC, it is free.

Happily, Buffy got the pointy 'Gandolf wizard' hat in one of her free crates and rather likes that one. It also dyes much better.

My understanding is that the hair that shows with hats is not the character's no-hat hair, but a selected compromise piece to suit the hat. So what you see with the hat on depends on your normal hair, but isn't exactly. Some hair choices have no corresponding hat one, and make you go bald.

E.g. This hair on Taminwe becomes this with a hat - note how some of it is now in the front, over one eye. But it's still a "long hair" style, and the colour is right.

The extra parts would possibly be specific to the hat, too, so what happens for one hat and hair would not work the same for another.Perhaps they also forgot to allow for the hair from the Store?

Ya Khajiit understood this as well. This one thinks there are some hats though that do not show hair and just make your character look bald underneath. The snood and most(all?) hoods do this.

Oh, and on a completely different subject but something you just mentioned = in my crates last night my son's account got the statue of Clavicus Vile and Barbas!!! (the rest was all junk). Unfortunately, he only has the three free rooms, so no where to place it, lol.

The Imperial City DLC is on sale for half price right now! I just bought it for my son's game and sent it to him as a gift, (I already own it).

Khajiit thought about getting that bundle because of the “mind shriven” skin and horse, but this one hates the blue electricity looking stuff it sports.

I just bought the plain DLC one; didn't get the fancy bundle one. (just something like 1250 crowns or so). It doesn't come with any horse or anything; and I don't think any skin either. I'll have to check and see about the skin, but I'm sure no horse or I'd have one in my collections (and don't think I've seen one like that).

Right now I only lack buying the Clockwork City = waiting for its anniversary to see if they put it on sale for half price. If it goes on sale, I'll buy it for my son's game too. Then he will only lack Morrowind.

Easiest way to get her to shut up is to just speak to her. You don’t have to go talk to the Wrothgarian emissary immediately afterward and you no longer have her hounding your every step.

Murkmire is on the PTS, meaning that it's most likely coming in October. Related to that, apparently the entire DLC will be given out on the Daily Login Rewards in November.

Interesting. It made sense for Morrowind to go DLC after a year but this is like a month later after its release. I wonder what the deal is. Promoting the log-in rewards by stepping it up from this month's reward of 100k gold?

Anyways, it's since been confirmed that Murkmire has been moved from its original position in northwestern Black Marsh to the southern tip, with Lilmoth as its hub city instead of the former's Gideon. It's also a lot smaller. I wonder how much lore we ended up losing with this move. :T I know for a fact that the Silken Ring Style was originally Kothringi Armor. The Naga still seem to be a thing, at least. Hopefully we didn't lose too much, and unlike the extreme changes to Alinor we have no info on what it was originally like.

Ah that is interesting. I'd thought that since it was a reward for November, we'd be getting it in December. An October release would be awesome, though I need dates so I can book a day or two off work.

As for the log-in rewards themselves, do we know how player numbers are doing at the moment? Perhaps Zenimax are just trying to pull more people back in to playing regularly rather than folks like me who wander off between DLC.

I got the Black Morthal Mastiff dog too! I did see the Juggling Pumpkins emote in person this morning, it is very cute! The emote I got was "Ponder Skull" = really boring. She stares at the skull until someone tries to speak to her, then she puts her finger to her lips and says "Shhhh." I would so prefer to be juggling pumpkins!

Anyway, I got a couple other things too that were not as noteworthy = a posy for the girl's hair; some outfit or something.

What I DID get with the gems I received was the statue of Nocturnal! WOOOT !!!!

Oh, and those of you who have Summerset, make sure you get the Summerset Pathfinder achievement on at least one of your toons before October 7th. ZOS says if 100% of Summerset accounts earn that achievement, they will give us the Grand Psijic Villa that is located on the island just off the south coast of Artaeum. It is available for preview only through a portal located in the Ruins (where you turn in the museum relics). You only need to complete the first quest in Shimmerene to gain access to Artaeum.

Julian has this achievement already (she is one of the 20% on the link provided by ZOS), so she would be happy to escort any of you and run interference if any of you should want to go for that achievement.

If you do not own Summerset, no worries, it won't matter then.

WOO HOO, I would love that place !!! One of my characters already has the Pathfinder; I'll have to get on my son's game and make sure he has one that gets it too. (I bought his game Summerset while it was on sale price last month).

I did think Murkmire was a DLC, but something Monkey said made me think it was going to be given away free in October? I am trying to wade through the patch notes now to find out what that was about.

Is that 100% of people who own Summerset? Or 100% of people who play Summerset? The former would be impossible, the latter is only slightly more realistic Still, I'll get Ciri to do the achievement.


As for Murkmire, Monkey mentioned the daily rewards aspect of it - the DLC will be a daily reward for November.

I just looked and Dame Buffy the Healer is Summerset Pathfinder complete.

Fugly only lacked the one in Artaeum; she just got it completed this morning. If I'm not mistaken, we only need one character per account to do it.

That's right, one of the community managers confirmed on the official forums. Once per account does the job.

I was surprised to see that Jerric got it already, since he hasn't done many quests is Summerset. He does get around, though.

My son's account got a tawny badger, an owl mask, a fiery skull (household furnishing) and the emote to throw rotten eggs at people, lol. There was something else good, but I can't remember what it was. Probably a costume or something.

Got a badger, the Owl mask and a bunch of gems. Nothing I really cared about, but having looked through the possibles in the gems part of the store, there wasn't anything to pick from.

However, I just found out that the Pirate costumes are back (for one day!) so I may grab those for crowns. Cat Man Dhou wants to show his spots.

Khajiit can definitely recommend the pirate costume bundle. The pirate swab outfit is Feng’s favorite!

I'd have bought that alone if it wasn't bundle-only. However 560 for the set could have easily been 500 for just the one, and the others could possibly see some use.
