Here is some info on the upcoming weapon ultimates.

Looking forward to trying out the Bow one with the poison morph.

Very neat! I'm also impressed by the destruction staff - which looks like it now packs a serious AOE ability.

Same here, depending on how much damage it does. I waited all this time for the soul trap line ultimate, and it is like nothing happens when you use it. I couldn't kill a mudcrab with it, really a waste of a skill point.

Also wanting to try the duel wield ones.

Thanks for the link, Hazmick!

I've gotten a few drop pieces of it; or maybe they were rewards. Kind of high for one set! (but then, I paid 20,000 in game gold for one Imperial motif - and have the Imperial Edition! I just did it to get the achievement for my Nord girl, and then she promptly FOUND an Imperial motif in a dungeon !!!! (grrr)

Thank you for the info, hazmick! Lil is also looking forward to the Bow ultimate with poison morph. biggrin.gif

Jerric is glad that he's been improving his Destruction Staff skill even though he is a stamina-focused sword guy. He misses the big, messy frost spells of Skyrim. The Eye of the Storm Destruction Staff morph sounds awesome. He is I think 39 or so in that skill line, so now he really has something to work toward.

The Trinimac gear looks beautiful. I wondered what those wing-things were on people's robes, and now I know! laugh.gif

I like the horse armor and war dogs; but ... urk, don't want that Zombie mount! laugh.gif The costumes did look fun though; I'd sure feel freaked out to run into some of them in a dark dungeon, lol !!!

Thanks Grits! Furniture crafting will be fun, and some of those houses look pretty cool. Happy to hear that it will be in-game gold rather than crowns (which a lot of people thought might happen) and that it's account based rather than character based. Ciri can't wait to move in with Haa-Rei. wub.gif

You pointed out everything that sounded great about it to me too!

I wasn't thrilled with what they did to the landscape in making the Stonefalls mansion outside Ebonheart, it was a gorgeous area on the fringes of Red Mountain but lush from all the nitrates in the air and had an Awesome fishing spot (which is gone now). What they did was make it an evil looking black castle and put an extension of the Red Mountain there instead of that gorgeous lush spot.

I'd rather buy the Ponderosa one up in Reapers March, that one is much smaller, but Awesome!

Yeah, I'll probably have to build up my woodworking skills to make decent furniture; or send Buffy orders for my wood furnishings, lol. But I am hugely excited over being able to craft it!

And like you = really glad the houses will be for game gold and not crowns! I have been deliberately saving crowns just in case.

Also love that all my girls can be in there too. I am hoping we can park them in there for the night like I have been doing with the bank, but don't want some glitch to cost me one of my characters like the day Coldharbour wouldn't load, lol.

Grits
I am very pleased that the houses will be an in-game gold thing. I would much rather purchase the DLC and play with it forever than be nickel-and-dimed to death in the Crown store. This was my biggest concern. Having your own dwelling (or in Jerric's case, someone else's dwelling) where you can go is going to be a huge shift in mindset for me. I could not be happier about what MF (lol) said. biggrin.gif

Also awesome that dwellings will be account-wide. Playing house can be a game in itself. I wonder if making the furnishings will be its own new skill line.

Bold: Agreed 100%

I don't know, but I LOVE the idea of crafting the furniture! I think I'll have to raise my woodworking or live in stick chairs, though; laugh.gif

I don't know, but I hope they just use the already in place crafting skill lines so we don't have to shuffle skill points around just to make the furniture for our houses. (I'm out of skill points to gather, there are no more skyshards in my game except the two behind the Aldmeri gates in Cyrodiil.)

Yeah, the adornments are the tiaras or flowers, earrings, etc. The Facial markings is where you find the makeup.

But actually, there IS modding - it is just called "Add-ons" and can't be used to artificially enhance your character because that would be cheating, laugh.gif

I use a "Personality Idles" add on, plus several that enhance my map and assist me in organizing my inventories/crafting/Guild Sales, etc.

Plus, you can give your girls huge "Jimmies" right in the creation screen!

I too was concerned about the inability to mod ESO. I've been pleased to find that so many features that many players would want to mod have already been built into the game. I honestly haven't missed mods. I also love having a whole staff of Zenimax hamster trainers to keep the game running so I don't have to worry about puter stuff and get to just plaaaayyyy! biggrin.gif

Somebody like me (who played vanilla Oblivion and vanilla Skyrim for years) can tell you that Beth games still offer plenty, even without mods! Matter of fact the gaming experience can be more seamless without them, since you'll be spending less time dealing with stuff that doesn't go right.

Anyways, carry on. Didn't mean to butt in.

Thanks for the linky!

Julian is excited at the idea of a house of her own, but would rather live in Bergama or Satakalaam, both smaller towns with mostly smaller homes. Still, it reinforces her desire to settle in the Alik'r!

Mazul is interested too, but is rather disappointed that there are none in Wrothgar at this time. She has taken a break from the Covenant storyline (she's about halfway through) and is exploring her Orc homeland these past couple of days. Somehow she ended up becoming Chief of a small stronghold north of Orsinium, and is torn between the old ways of Malacath or the "new" ways of Trinimac as exemplified by the King in Orsinium.

We both love the city - the fact that it is in a state of rebuilding, with scaffolding everywhere. The water in Wrothgar is incredible, and the sensation of cold, bracing air is unmistakable through the screen. It really feels like Christmas without all the marketing. We might spend Saturalia here, and invite Julian to join us! As Mazul is Chief, Julian would be an honored guest in Shatul Range . . .

mALX, thank you so much for posting this! My crew is stashing funds in anticipation of the housing update.

The first one that jumps out at me is the Dhalmora hut for Stays-Up-Late. He is my only homebody, but he needs daily access to a crafting workshop. Thankfully there is a Wayshrine right down the road.

I'm curious to see what my crew will want to do with housing. Just choosing pets and mounts has been an enlightening experience. From the number of houses Jerric has bought, built, and directed the mods for even though none are for him, I'm sure we will be house-hunting. He may prefer a tavern or a campfire, but only when he knows there is room at a hearth for him.

The houses are account-wide, and unless I'm mistaken you can only get one free (and that is one of the smaller homes or possibly an apartment if I'm not mistaken. The update notes had a list of the apartments, but right now they are just un-accessible doors.

I was wondering how much they will cost for the ones we have to buy. I don't want any huge place; even the Narsis house is really too large. But if the horses are 42,000; what the H will they charge for a house? rollinglaugh.gif

Oh, that adorable little house in "Hammerdeath" has a "Tourag's Pact" wilderness crafting station across from it and a picnic table on the back of the wrap around deck! I have been having trouble finding that building to see the inside, but for now it is on my "Maybe" list for those three things listed.

I have fallen so totally in love with the Redguard in this game, their culture and beliefs - I am most def settling in the Desert. Bubba is going to have to have some kind of backstory from there. They did as wonderful a job on the Redguard as they did for the Orc in Betnikh (which I thought dealt much more deeply into the Orc culture than Wrothgar, but I also love Wrothgar).

I also wondered if they will have housing in the DLC! Someone mentioned there might be some in the Gold Coast; right now that is the only thing that might rival the desert for me; and would most def depend on the house style. I LOVE the Redguard architecture.

Wow, that's awesome! I noticed that the $29.99 Gold Edition that I found was on Steam, is that a new thing? (EDIT: Oh look, there it is on not-Steam too. *palms face*) Any reason to not buy it through Steam? I am seriously tempted to move my music library off my hard drive (again, sigh) and get ESO PC NA Jerric started for that bargain, if only to hang out for a while training his mount.

I'm guessing that the 200k+ my crew has saved so far won't get them a whole cottage. laugh.gif I'm glad the houses will be account-wide.

I just love Reaper's March, so I'll be pushing for one of the houses there. This time of year especially I dream of the desert. I'm curious how they'll handle the Arenthia house. Maybe they'll lift the siege if you buy a house there, lol.

Oh, and I know this is old info; but for anyone who didn't dig all the way through October's patch notes - here is what they had done on the housing so far (as of October):

A new building near Hammerdeath Arena has been constructed.

Stros M'kai

A new building near Port Hunding has been constructed.

I have already checked out the houses; then found similar houses in world to see the interiors of. On the "apartments" inside inns I have gone to each inn and checked out its upstairs rooms to get an idea how they will be furnishing the apartment if that is how it will be done.

On both the houses and apartments I've checked out their proximity to bank/crafting/wayshrines, etc.

Some of the larger houses (that I won't be interested in getting because they are HUGE) have come with a built in stable area! So I am wondering, will we have a facsimile of our horses in the stable? Or will we be able to dismount and see our horse? Or will those stables sit empty? Anyway, seeing those stables intrigued me, even if I have no desire for a huge mansion, lol.

Housing, housing, housing! *dance of joy* Thanks, mALX!

The inn room/apartments have the most appeal to me, even though the possibilities for the big houses are exciting. (Guild houses! RP!) Even Jerric would like an instanced room where he can nap without waking up in some sort of teabagging situation.

Hmmm, interesting stuff!

Julian is hoping for a small house/room somewhere in the Alik'r. She'll settle for the room in the Sisters of the Sands Inn - convenient to the cooking fire. She is impatiently waiting for me to start an enchanting/alchemical character so she can hand over those responsibilities, but she will not give up cooking.

Ironic, considering in Oblivion she could barely put together a meal of Legion slop! tongue.gif

Mazul is disappointed that no mention has been made of Wrothgar. She is keeping her fingers (and tusks) crossed . . .

I'm so excited about the housing! And I'll bet only a guild will be able to afford the big mansions, but I'm REALLY hoping I'll be able to get the house in Sentinel, I LOVE the Redguard style homes!!!!

Also, since this last update I have seen OVENS inside some of the Redguard homes!!! They will probably replace cook fires inside some homes; but I wonder if we will have some kind of animation for them?
