mALX, thank you so much for posting this! My crew is stashing funds in anticipation of the housing update.
The first one that jumps out at me is the Dhalmora hut for Stays-Up-Late. He is my only homebody, but he needs daily access to a crafting workshop. Thankfully there is a Wayshrine right down the road.
I'm curious to see what my crew will want to do with housing. Just choosing pets and mounts has been an enlightening experience. From the number of houses Jerric has bought, built, and directed the mods for even though none are for him, I'm sure we will be house-hunting. He may prefer a tavern or a campfire, but only when he knows there is room at a hearth for him.
The houses are account-wide, and unless I'm mistaken you can only get one free (and that is one of the smaller homes or possibly an apartment if I'm not mistaken. The update notes had a list of the apartments, but right now they are just un-accessible doors.
I was wondering how much they will cost for the ones we have to buy. I don't want any huge place; even the Narsis house is really too large. But if the horses are 42,000; what the H will they charge for a house?

Oh, that adorable little house in "Hammerdeath" has a "Tourag's Pact" wilderness crafting station across from it and a picnic table on the back of the wrap around deck! I have been having trouble finding that building to see the inside, but for now it is on my "Maybe" list for those three things listed.

Thanks for the linky!
Julian is excited at the idea of a house of her own, but would rather live in Bergama or Satakalaam, both smaller towns with mostly smaller homes. Still, it reinforces her desire to settle in the Alik'r!
Mazul is interested too, but is rather disappointed that there are none in Wrothgar at this time. She has taken a break from the Covenant storyline (she's about halfway through) and is exploring her Orc homeland these past couple of days. Somehow she ended up becoming Chief of a small stronghold north of Orsinium, and is torn between the old ways of Malacath or the "new" ways of Trinimac as exemplified by the King in Orsinium.
We both love the city - the fact that it is in a state of rebuilding, with scaffolding everywhere. The water in Wrothgar is incredible, and the sensation of cold, bracing air is unmistakable through the screen. It really feels like Christmas without all the marketing. We might spend Saturalia here, and invite Julian to join us! As Mazul is Chief, Julian would be an honored guest in Shatul Range . . .
I have fallen so totally in love with the Redguard in this game, their culture and beliefs - I am most def settling in the Desert. Bubba is going to have to have some kind of backstory from there. They did as wonderful a job on the Redguard as they did for the Orc in Betnikh (which I thought dealt much more deeply into the Orc culture than Wrothgar, but I also love Wrothgar).
I also wondered if they will have housing in the DLC! Someone mentioned there might be some in the Gold Coast; right now that is the only thing that might rival the desert for me; and would most def depend on the house style. I LOVE the Redguard architecture.
Oh, and right now (I think for a week) the Gold Edition game is on sale for 29.95; (and that one includes the Palomino horse!) so if you know anyone who wants to buy it, now is the best time!
(Hint, hint ... SubRosa
