QUOTE(mALX @ Nov 15 2019, 01:21 PM)

Yes, it seems the game won't handle more inventory slots for houses or banks; but for some reason can handle gobs of different outfit style pages, lol. I am so glad Lopov and Renee joined to help us use all those style pages up, lol.
What are style pages?
Go into the Chorrolite Guild Bank and choose the icon that looks like a bottle (Consumables). There will be all kinds of gold colored items in there = take one of each; and when you read it they will disappear from your inventory (so you won't have to worry about carrying them around). Don't worry about it being the last one, we all have them already and each Account can only use one of each.
Next: Read them. They will give you all kinds of fun things you can do; (like throwing mudballs; throwing cherry blossoms; juggling knives or fire batons; etc) or clothes you can wear for fun; (like a bathing towel, funny hats for both winter and Halloween, etc).
If you pick up an extra one by accident; just put it back into the Guild Bank.
Keep going down through those and picking up one of each; then you will see more gold colored print but the icon for these is a sheet of paper instead = pick up one of each of those too! Those are the Style Pages.
What the Style Page does is (and Lopov can teach you how to work the Outfit System) is for if you want to wear armor but also wear a costume = you can make your own costume and wear it over your armor! The more Style Pages you read/learn; the more options you will have for styles of your costumes when you create them.
Each Character gets one "costume" token; but you can buy more "Outfit Change" slots if you like to change your clothes around a lot.
It is just another way to dress up your character how you want to see them.

Nov 15 2019, 10:38 PM
Oh, and when you get stuff like the backpack full of mudballs = place it onto your "Hot Keys" by opening your Inventory screen; (the "I" key) and choose the tab to the far right to place things on your Hot "Wheel." Scan down the list till you find what you want and drag-drop it to the slot you want it in.
Close that tab out by clicking the tab to the far left = your Inventory.
You can keep health potions in there; food; etc. - but you can also put Emotes in there to use on the spur of the moment.
To access it; press down the "Q" key (AFTER closing your Inventory page) and kind of rotate your mouse around to highlight the item you want to use when you press the "Q" key. (try putting a potion in there; and you will hear your character swallow the potion). If you put the Mudball filled Backpack on your "Q," look toward the Player you want to hit with a mudball; and press the "Q" while aimed at that person = your character will throw a mudball at that person. Same with the Cherry Blossoms; it will give the person a crown of Cherry Blossoms and make their character smile.
Warning: If you throw a mudball at a Guard by accident; they will consider it an assault, lol.

Hey, did everyone notice that the new "Boar" pet gives every single character you have and extra 5 inventory slots even when you are not using the pet at all?
I just got the Boar tonight and never even took it out to look at it; but every one of my 9 characters is showing 205 Inventory slots now! I sure needed the extra space; and it is really Awesome that you don't HAVE to use the pig as a follower to get the benefits!
I never saw the small print on the pig when I looked at it; what a great surprise!

That would be Awesome! I remember that conversation; that is a really great idea! You should bring that one up on that ESO forum! This inventory slot thing sold through the Crown Store was brought up about two years ago, and they finally did it! I guess it probably takes the Dev's a couple years to plan/create/execute/test the bugs out/etc. to bring us what we want in game; but = most of what everyone has asked for has eventually shown up. (They actually do fairly well on listening; it just takes longer to produce it than most people think it would).

I'm happier with the idea that not everyone needs to bring their pet, banker, merchant etc. to a fight. I'd go the opposite direction and eliminate Sorceror and Warden pets. Followers are a single-player game thing where you need all the help you can get, and there aren't other players to fill that role.
If pets became useful, they'd soon be meta, and everyone would have to have them. And if they were too useful, we'd all stop playing and let them do all the work.

My pets are
really non-combat ones. They stay at home.

I'm in agreement with ghastley on pets being nothing more than a cosmetic/aesthetic choice. Besides the meta aspect, if certain pets were given special boosts, I imagine Zenimax would have more incentive to lock them behind crown paywalls. Special abilities are something I actually wanted myself early on, but I came to change my mind.
If some pets are to get special abilities, though, I think the most I would be okay with is something like those few extra inventory slots.

There is an absurdly cheap sale right now on the Elsweyr expansion.
67% off! And there are different levels, including the collector's edition, that are also on a huge sale. And getting the base game, Elsweyr, Morrowind, AND Summerset is only about $20. That's crazy.

Poor little Buffy would have frozen her tiny little bits off if not for Jerric's ring; it has kept her warm through a decade now!
I was hoping they were going to do Tenmar; but when you look at the map of Tamriel the biggest blank spot was Skyrim above The Rift and west of Windhelm.
Boy, I am really not looking forward to all the Nord dialogue and drunken brawling everywhere; Malan just finished Eastmarch: I heard more belching and saw more puking than I cared to ever see again!

But this will def be interesting, lol. I hope they add Solitude in!

Whatever the story for this Skyrim expansion is, I hope it scales back the world-ending scenarios. As much as I enjoyed the previous content, it feels like each successive DLC was going out of its way in trying to one-up the previous in the direness of the threats. I like stopping cataclysmic evil as much as the next person, but...chill out a bit Zenimax, lol. Let's just have something that involves Skyrim.
In any case, I'm stoked. To be able to potentially see Whiterun, Solitude, and Markarth is going to be a nice nostalgia trip. If Dawnstar is included, maybe they can make that place more interesting this time around. Given that TESV: Skyrim was my first foray into the series, this DLC will hold some special significance for me.
I wonder what other familiar places, etc. will be included.
-I doubt High Hrothgar is going to be included given the Greybeards seclusion. Maybe Throat of the World will be off-limits similar to Red Mountain.
-A revamped Helgen perhaps? One that is not in ruins?
-I'd imagine Morthal would be included, and while that was a bit more unique of a place environmentally in TESV, it was kind of lame otherwise.
-Ooh, we'll probably get to see new iterations of Falmer and Chaurus!
So many other possibilities! I don't want to hype myself up too much so that expectations cannot possibly be met, but I am very much looking forward to what Zenimax has cooking for western Skyrim.

I don't think they're ready to start closing the radial gaps between the Alliance territories, so we'll either get The Reach/Haafingar side or the Whiterun/Dawnstar side, rather than any bridge from Pact to Covenant.
I hope whichever they do, it has all the dragon mounds that appear later in TES V. The dragons are supposed to be in them already. If not all, then the majority, were buried at the end of the first era. Eastmarch had a couple, but there should have been many more. I don't recall any in the Rift.
Whichever it is, I suspect we'll get one of the later holds to start the chapter, and the other will be a DLC, so it's probably a choice between Markarth and Whiterun first. Dragons in the trailer doesn't help decide, as they were all over the map.

I SO agree with you on being over the dire world ending threats to the last couple DLC. As for High Hrothgar; the 1000 steps to it have been in place since the game launch; I climbed them hoping to see the Graybeards or maybe a Word Wall = so maybe this will be when they finally finish that thought they had when they put those steps in.
Me = my favorite town I hope to see would be Whiterun. It has the Dragon Landing at the Palace there; which would make for some interesting DLC content! (Example: Riding a dragon!!!!!)
And if they gave us a small little house in Whiterun; I'd buy it in a heartbeat! It would be nice if they could add chopping wood for inns to earn gold again, that was fun!

I am SO glad this was brought up, because I really want to power-level Cincy's Undaunted level after being lax on it for so long. It would be great to get some of us together for the dungeons that can't be soloed.
And I also wanted to ask people here: If any of you don't mind and you happen to be on at the same time as I am, can you share the Undaunted daily delves with me? I read that you could get up to 15 or something in one day doing that. And being delves (and all of them ones that I have already done), they are really quick to do and give decent XP.

The 15 limit is "all of them" - in that a character can't do the same delve twice on any given day. It can get a bit difficult when the group changes personnel, as the chance that someone in the group has already done it goes up quickly.
That said, most of us have multiple characters, and can swap to one who can do the delve. Which takes a few loading screens, and slows the process a bit.
I'm sending my two newest through the crafting dailies and mount training when I first log in each day, so I'm not available for delves until that's complete. After that, we'd like to share some extras, too. But that would be after this event, as the full dungeon pledges are needed for the reward boxes. Daily delves don't count.

The event has started so Buffy visited the Impresario with a full bag of 12 tix. Yikes. She does not want another indrik to join the one she already does not ride. So she previewed the style motifs based on what the biggest and ugliest dungeon denizens wear. Ugh. Not a single one worth any tix. Oh well, so she'll just let her 12/12 tix spill over during the event. The good news is that she got three transmute crystals and quite a bit of coin from the one pledge she did. She's quite picky about dungeons and will only do ones she considers fun and not irritating. That is a rather short list. Happily, she had an old pledge for one of the dungeons on her short 'white list'.

Do we yet know the real meaning of "The first time you slay a dungeon’s final boss each day, you’ll earn a special Hefty Undaunted Reward box."?
Is that the first time for each final boss, or the first time for any final boss? E.g. if you do Maj's and Gilrion's, do you get one or two? Past experience suggests one per account per day, but just askin'. The second one should drop an extra box, too, but it won't be the Hefty kind, I'm assuming.
Buffy would have got the Hefty, so how much less is in the regular ones? It looks like the regulars get a chance of keys, transmutes, motif pages, etc. so what more did Buffy get?
Acadian
Jan 9 2020, 06:44 PM
Ah, I see. She did get two boxes but didn't pay much attention to what was in which one. Between them, there was a special transmute gem containing between 1-10 gems (her's held two). There was also a style motif page for one of the ugly opal (?) styles that she stuck in the guild bank. There was also 'undaunted plunder' that was simply a treasure to sell to any merchant for 1000 gold. I'm sure there were other minor bits in them but she doesn't recall.
Since she got two extra transmute crystals she's a happy elf.
Edit: So she just did a second dungeon and got one box. It contained only 'undaunted plunder' to sell for 1000 gold.
Edit#2: Someone on the official forums says they just tested it: One Hefty box per account per day.
ghastley
Jan 9 2020, 07:38 PM
ESO forum members have confirmed 1 Hefty per account per day. What I didn't see yet is the Hefty/Regular comparison, but with RNG playing in, a good regular may be as good as a poor Hefty, anyway.
So strategy may be to do FG1 for the easy Hefty box, and then pledge for regular box and the usual key/crystal reward on multiple characters.
I have no interest in tickets, but the Undaunted XP and keys are my aim. Hopefully the random extra keys are really in the regular boxes as the article implies, and not just the Hefty.

One box from any dungeon, and first one per day per account is the Hefty, so she got it from the Hefty box. That doesn't mean it can't come from a regular, though.
And after running my first tonight I discovered that the Hefty box is in addition to the regular one, so I'm back to a confused state.
Rewards are underwhelming, but they are at least something extra, and did encourage me to run the pledges. We had the surreal experience of a mixed Chorrolite/SneakyBo group using Discord and Teamspeak at the same time, so not all the group could hear everyone else. Still better than typing everything, with the same hands you're trying to use to move and defend.
TeamSpeak is still not working for me. All the info on their web site and forum points at a port blocking problem, but I've checked that several times, re-installed the client etc. I probably won't understand why when it does start to work.

I'm really sorry the Teamspeak isn't working; I actually like it much better than the Discord. But as long as we have you on the Discord; we can still communicate together while dungeon crawling = should be no problem at all.
I was wondering if there is some setting I can do on the Teamspeak that will help allow you to access it? I don't have any clue on anything technical; but can ask Sereph1 if there is anything we can do to fix that.
Fixed or not; last night's dungeon crawling together was a blast! Thank you for joining in!

Tonight!!
It'd be cool if...you know...the site wasn't down and performing maintenance. I hope it's up and running in the next 12 minutes. I'd like to see it live.

I had a feeling we’d be seeing some Vampire-related stuff since they offered a free pet bat....
