The Reapers March houses were my favorite. I like the combination of water, trees, and desert rocks.

I really like that the houses are integrated into the existing areas and not off in some player house neighborhood thing.

Thank you, mALX!

Same here on both things you said here. I love the waterfall and pond one; the rocks and even the style of that place.

Now there's a surprise tongue.gif

I want whatever personality Hildegard from the Dark Brotherhood has. That might be melancholy, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the info Grits!

I've seen a couple vids on them, but they brush by the personality ones and just keep going back to the drunk. And one vid said the "Heroic" was glltchy.

I was actually hoping for housing neighbourhoods rather than a few set houses dotted around the wilderness, but that still looks good.

Still got at least 6 months until it's released, strange that it's already partially up on the PTS.

They probably want to make sure everything is stable before incorporating anything. I wonder how it will work ... and how much it will cost!

** Has anyone else had trouble with their game since Monday's patch? Any characters in Coldharbour or certain dungeons when they shut down the server and applied the patch can not be accessed; and anyone who was not in a bad sector and was able to access their characters cannot go to Coldharbour or those certain dungeons.

(It goes to a loading screen that never ends, you have to close out the game and reload it to get your character out of that limbo)

I haven't had any issues like that. My game crashes a lot in Orsinium and Grahtwood, but it's been like that for a lot of Xbox players since before the Dark Brotherhood.

My advice - check the forums to see if any other people are having a similar issue. You could also contact customer support but I'm not sure how good they are.
Grits
hazmick, thank you for that link!

Update 12 looks like it is going to bring ESO closer to the open world of a TES game. I am delighted that they are re-working Craglorn with the solo player in mind. I’m all for tough world bosses and certain dungeons designed for groups, but I believe that the questlines should be doable on one’s own.

mALX, I just got the latest patch this morning and haven’t done much exploring since. Orsinium was laggy, but no more than usual. Is there any place you’d like me to check? I will be home by late afternoon and hopefully will be able to get online. (They’re tearing up our streets and service has been unreliable.)

There have been several with the issue - we did complain and it seems to have been fixed without an additional patch, meaning the error was with their server or something and not with the patch itself.

Our area was fixed without a patch, but my friend from Australia couldn't get on again last night. She only had one character ever since she started playing over a year ago; and had it parked in Coldharbour so couldn't access it.

She had to start a new character because it was the only way she could report the issue; but she has no desire to play a new character so won't play again till they fix the issue. (But she still got on TeamSpeak to talk to everyone the day after the patch)

@ Grits - Hearing about areas like Craglorn being made geared more toward single player and smaller groups is what has me so excited too, I have been in with just two of us and been slaughtered. It wasn't fun, but ... they had skyshards I wanted, lol.

hazmick
Craglorn's also the highlight for me. Haa-Rei tried it a while ago, and it wasn't the difficulty that stopped us but the fact that you straight up couldn't enter some areas without more than one person. I hate it when games do that, so I'm happy that they're changing it.

Ditto, but I was also dying too frequently from groups of 20 enemies hitting at once. It kind of kills the fun when you can't walk 30 feet without dying, lol.

Grits
That’s what steamed me in Craglorn, that some quest mechanics required more than one player. It’s hard to find players there at all, and when I’ve joined a group they always want to do something other than the quests.

Craglorn taught Jerric to carry repair kits. (And to make sure that he’s wearing a chest piece under his costume. ohmy.gif )

mALX, I’m glad your issues got fixed without waiting for another patch!

Yes, me too. Not being able to go into dungeons was frustrating for me; but at least I could still run around and have fun. My friend Aussie not being able to access her only character - I felt a lot worse for her situation.

** EDIT = I just caught that about Jerric, and after his trip nude to the brothel in the middle of the night I could just picture him nude and throwing on a costume, rollinglaugh.gif

Acadian
Thanks for the update, hazmick. Buffy's riding her Imperial City pack white horse while hoping that the palamino will become available again at some point.
Grits
Thanks for the news, hazmick! It’s going to be fun to see kagouti mounts and pocket mammoth pets running around. Good luck deciding which one to bring into Haa-Rei’s gang!

My Imperial Rowan Varrus is getting a do-over as a Dragonknight. I suspect that she will want the Cyrod formal gown. It’s very pretty on the NPCs.
mALX

Thank you so much for posting these updatesl, Hazmick! I've been wondering about some of the new armors!

@ Acadian - Did I remember to tell you that you can change the names of your mount (and I think pets too) ???

Acadian
Thanks, mALX. Yes you did tell me and one of the first things Buffy did was change her horse's name to you know what. Lol. And her pets have their own names two. smile.gif

A new video by Alcast looking at some of the upcoming weapon ultimates. Really interesting stuff.

WARNING: some strong language.

Bingo! It isn't summer without a festival. laugh.gif
Grits
Wow, I’d say the language was justified on the subject of Onslaught! ohmy.gif Jerric’s reaction was a gleeful chuckle/knuckle crack. His back bar right now is on a greatsword. I can see playing hopscotch with Critical Rush and Onslaught. I wonder if that will get changed again before the update is official.

The Destruction Staff ultimate looked pretty awesome. Darnand hasn’t bothered to put an Ultimate on his bars since the last update, since he hasn’t really needed one. He will spend a carefully hoarded skill point on that, I’m sure!

The Restoration Staff ones sound pretty awesome, too. Wow, this is exciting!

Thank you for the news, hazmick!

Party in Skywatch! That's a great festive screenshot, hazmick!
mALX

Great shot of the month, Hazmick! And Grits - Awesome beauty and solitude of that shot; those are some of my favorite in game places! (until the wisps show up, lol.) The screen of the month shot of Buffy is so spot on, she looks exactly like herself! I Calia met her in game yesterday!!!!!

Grits
Thanks, mALX! That was a magical moment.

Yay for Calia meeting Buffy in person! That's so awesome! happy.gif

Bold: Isn't it? I've felt that up in the Jeralls in Obivion; felt it in the DC Wasteland; in several places in Skyrim; and several now in ESO. It just feels like in that place they have somehow stumbled into the realm where the gods come for a quiet moment - solitude. It is one of the things solo play can give you that would be ruined by a group wanting to hurry past the moment.

Meeting Buffy was so AWESOME !!!! She was/is just like in her stories and on her Potpourri; and boy was she wicked with her bow!!!!! She had Superian and Kitsune - she was the Buffy I've known for so long - VERY cool !!!!!

Acadian
I've never grouped with other players before, as the game does single player just fine. But Buffy and I had a blast playing with mALX and Calia yesterday. Calia is beautiful and wicked with her dual blades and red hair trailing behind. MALX was so patient and helpful as my grouping and chatting learning curve really went up. Thank you, mALX! And thanks for your kind words about Buffy - she does feel pretty 'right' to me in game also. smile.gif

A new video by Elloa, showing off the Alliance War horse, dog, and rider costume.

The items haven't been officially announced, and were discovered by players on the PTS. Nobody knows when/if they'll be announced or released.

Thanks for the link, hazmick! These things look neat, especially the Dominion mastiff flopping down to rest.

These are amazing!!! But oh...I see those horse armors costing some Player lives! The "Dogs of War, though = dead on accurate! I had to research them because they are one of the four bloodlines that were the foundation for the Catahoula dogs that I was breeding to sell - so really cool they put that touch in there!!!

That is Awesome, Hazmick!!!! Thanks for the link!!!

Grits
I’m putting this here because I couldn’t find it and never would have thought to look in the PTS forum.

PTS Patch notes for Update 12 which brings One Tamriel: link. I think that this stuff is possibly subject to change, but I am even more excited about this update than I was before. Dueling in the PvE areas which I was not thrilled about can be set to auto-refuse duel requests from the other players, so now I’m not concerned about some fool following me around asking to 1v1 me, lol. Good stuff!
hazmick
Thanks Grits! I was looking for this. I'm going to hit that auto-refuse button so hard when the update is released.
mALX

Most def not interested in dueling, urk. I can't believe they are limiting Viper's Sting sets to Fungal Grotto, that is ridiculous! Grrrrr.

*mALX stomps off to FG and waits outside for a group to form...*

Grits

mALX, looks like Jerric will also need to gut through FG with a group, unless there’s another place to find Dreugh King Slayer gear. He bought two pieces and hasn’t seen any since.

Here’s a fun tidbit from the patch notes:

“Soul gem usage has been simplified.

• Players of all levels will receive and fill Grand Soul Gems, which can be used to revive players of any level, as well as to refill enchantments.

• Non-grand Soul Gems no longer fill these roles, and may be sold to vendors.”

This is great news to me. Juggling the soul gem supply for a full team at different levels is a big pain.

Oh, and I saw that the Yokudan style and its material ferrous salts will be available (rarely from the repeatable quests) in Craglorn. Woo!!

Jerric has been wandering around soloing dolmens and world bosses while he still can, since the notes said “World bosses throughout Tamriel have been rebalanced to target groups of four instead of two.” On the plus side, I think there will be more players around to help around once One Tamriel opens the borders. This looks like it will be a very different and much more TES experience!

Haa-Rei's done all but one or two dolmens (the remaining ones are in Cyrodiil), and the only world bosses we haven't got are the ones that were too tough to take down alone.

If One Tamriel means that I'm 3x more likely to have help with world bosses, bring it on!

This vid was really great - Informative! Crafted jewelry - I hope they hurry up with that! Some of the changes I am on board with, but some = not so much. I still wish they would keep the nodes area specific, it really limits you to not be able to gather anything but your own level! How can you make armor for someone else lower than your own level without access to the materials?

Thanks for the link, Hazmick!!!

Grits
Thanks for the link, hazmick! I finally got to watch the whole thing. Fun to hear those guys talking about it.

I’m excited about the new Guild daily quests. Jerric has a real sense of living his life when he’s able to pick up a job and go to work every day in between the quest-driven adventures, and having the whole world at his level will let him walk there without that feeling that he’s in a leveled game.

I absolutely love that the monsters will no longer show their levels. To me that is a huge change for the better. Also holidays! Woo!

OMG when they started talking about improving fishing and the guy said, “We know there are PvF guilds out there,” LOL!! It sounds like it will be a while before they add anything to fishing, but it was neat to hear that the one guy is always bringing it up when they meet.

I was just thinking about jewelry crafting last night. If we could craft set pieces, we could get the 5-piece benefit from two crafted sets. Hmm.
hazmick
Here is some more info on the changes coming to Craglorn with One Tamriel - probably the thing I'm most excited for in this update.
Grits
Woo! I am so ready to return to Craglorn!! viking.gif biggrin.gif

Me too! Haa-Rei tried it a while back but got to a 'you need four people to open this door' door and hasn't been back. It's like we're getting a whole new zone of content for free!

mALX

I went with the two people I play with the most - both Ch 450 or so; and my character Ch 150 - we died so many times it wasn't funny trying to dungeon crawl.

I do agree that this is one of the things I do look forward to in this update; but the no levels on monsters - not thrilled at all about that. If every monster is leveled to every character, that is going to kill any challenge to playing the game; make it boring. I like being able to go to different zones and finding different levels of creatures - some that can kick my butt; and some I can kick theirs. Then you strive harder to get stronger and come back and try the hard ones over and over again; or bring friends next time, etc. It is what made this game fun. Not everything was the Player's level; so they really had to work to achieve some things.

And I also liked the surprise of loot being in different places. Hate that it is now set into known locations. Boring.

And I've already griped about the plants and nodes leveling with the player instead of the area.

Anyway, that is just me, just my opinion. (and therefore not worth the toilet paper it was written on). It won't make me stop playing the game, but if I was paying for a subscription I would most def cancel it and use the free servers in protest.
