Blackwood event reward can be claimed on each server! The armour set boxes are character bound, but their content is Bind on Equip, so you can bank after opening, but not save bank space by passing them boxed. I don't see the point in doing that. A decent haul of goodies, in all.
I haven't placed and checked out the Ogrim target dummy yet. It's probably a no=buffs one, like the skellies etc.
It looks like the armour sets all contain head and shoulders, so you'd not use the five pieces they give you. Good for the sticker book, anyway.

With the Deadlands DLC / Update, some anomalies have been discovered regarding CP points. Therefore, ZoS is going to take the PC servers down tomorrow (Thursday) early for a couple hours to fix. Unfortunately, it will include a full forced reset of everyone's CP points. That is, you'll have to reallocate all CP points on all characters.

ZoS has clarified, for the Undaunted event that Bolgrul's delve boss kills will yield only a regular reward box (no glorious box, no tix). It seems only the final boss of a group dungeon will yield the glorious reward box and event tix.
Buffy's plan will be to continue her 'solo a pledge every day' routine. She does so for a daily transmute crystal, but during the event will happily accept a glorious reward box and 2 tix as well.

I watched Zenimax’s live Twitch stream on their plans for 2022 and here are some of the highlights I took away from it:
The year will focus on the Systers Isles out in the Abecean Sea. Though never before used in Elder Scrolls, they were apparently on the maps of TESI or TESII. The primary isle is High Isle and thusly is named the Chapter that will be introduced in the 2nd quarter on June 6. This will be part of a one year adventure involving the Bretons and will carry a heavy medieval/feudal flavor that the Bretons are well-known for.
The first quarter (March 14) will feature a DLC (Ascending Tide) with two dungeons. As I said, the second quarter will be the new Chapter which will include a Trial. I could only follow so fast so I think the third and fourth quarters will feature a story DLC and probably another dungeon DLC.
The Chapter and Update 33 launching June 6 will feature numerous significant features:
- A new assistant who can deconstruct gear for you.
- Two new companions. Ember is a Khajiit of questionable morals. Isabelle is a Breton who wants to become a knight.
- A big underwater house called Seaview Spire.
- Account-wide achievements and titles. A few exceptions were mentioned including learning runes, getting skyshards and learning motifs.
- ‘Tales of Tribute’. An in game strategy card game you can play vs NPCs or other players.
- New world events in the chapter zone(s) called volcanic rifts. Described as somewhat similar to geysers.
PTS for the upcoming Chapter/Update 33 starts next week. They said the PTS will be testing a horse you can ride double but that feature is apparently not planned to go live yet.

Jan 31 2022, 11:23 PM
I just tried out some new things on the PTS. Here's what I found.
The new double-riding horse is cute. It was fun to haul Mirri around, and it will be excellent when traveling with a friend's low riding training new character. Also when it is dark if it's hard to stay together.
The decon assistant works great. She lets you run down your entire gear menu or you can flip through by category. Glyphs included. Not sure if your character's perks apply, but there was no indication that they would not. I did not see an option to refine (nor did I expect to.)
I'm a bit gutted by the account-wide achievement situation, but it's not the end of the world. Some random things I noticed in no order:
Anyone could use Jerric's PvP rank title, but their own actual rank still showed. I'm sure there will still be some attempted shenanigans but you can check their insignia.
Every character's actions advanced the achievement I tested. Meaning if you have to kill 100 somethings, it's not the first character to kill all 100 who gets the achievement for the account, it's the character who kills the 100th.
On one of the Main Quest achievements there was an indication that the current character had that achievement so I could see how far they had advanced in the Main Quest. With the other ones it just showed the charterer who had gotten the achievement first, not all of the characters who had gotten it. Meaning now I have no idea who has done what, only who did it first.

I tried the new prologue quest, and looked at the new "house". The quest takes you to Vvardenfell, so possibly you need the DLC/ESO+ to do it. I suspect that the chapter won't depend on the prologue anyway, but it's a potential annoyance for some.
The "house" is the now-typical huge expanse of empty space that you can't possibly furnish. The furnished version adds nothing outside, and still looks almost empty inside. People are already asking if they can seal off the interior, and build something smaller by the lake. Not on my "buy" list.
I hope they also add a small/medium home in the new zone. We can expect an inn room, but I'd also like a place in the Snugpod to Twin Arches range.

That is good news on the fishing. When she had to pay attention to which Buffy she was playing, she completely ignored the fishing achievements. With account wide fishing achievements, she might actually pay a bit of attention to it.
Normally, the first Buffy out for the day drops a line three times to garner fish to cook with. That is pretty much the extent of her fishing.

Next event is Midyear Mayhem (PvP) in 'Feb'. No exact date published yet but has to be soon I figure.
*Buffy's been using the Grits trick of knocking out out dailies in Cyrodiil while it's quiet but not turning them in. She has 7 scouting, 6 Cropsford and 2 Cheydinhal dailies done and ready for turn-in. If true to form the event will yield 2 tix per day for the first Cyrodiil (or battleground) daily and a 3rd tix for the first IC daily each day. Buffy doesn't do IC or battlegrounds so 2 tix per day from Cyrodiil will be plenty. She has the dragonmorphpet and all 3 frags for a second one, 8 tix and no interest in the current morph of some ugly skins so tix are not really much concern to her.
What she wants from the event is lotsa transmute crystals and she'll do that via keep repairs. As a healer, she knows that her 'healing done' stat means more potent repairs which means more AP per repair which lets her earn AP faster and for less repair kits. Her 'healing done' is already good but she does several Midyear Mayhem tweaks to boost it up to about +50% or so for repairing keeps. The purpose of all this is to earn lotsa AP which means lotsa rewards of the worthy boxes. She know that the first box you open each day is guaranteed to contain a transmute gem so she knows to only open one a day. Last year it took her weeks to get them all open after the event was over but the payoff is high in terms of transmute crystals.
For anyone interested, what she does for the event to boost her healing done beyond what it normally is:
- Keep her Extended Ritual aura active all the time while repairing (major mending +8%).
- Have 2 skill points in the support passive (Combat Medic) that boosts healing done by +20% when near a keep.
- Change her monster pieces to Earthgore & Symphony of Blades. The first bonus on each of those is +4% healing done.
- Wear two pieces of Senche Raht's Grit for +4%.
- Swap Apprentice Mundus for Ritual (+10% for Buffy with 4xgold divine armor pieces).
- Swap out CP Biting Aura for Focused Mending.
* UPDATE:
Dates available now. Feb 17 - Mar 1. No surprises/same as previous years.

Thank you for these excellent tips, Acadian! I hadn't thought to save the boxes to open once per day for crystals.
It turns out that the reason I have only gotten one of the style pages despite opening a gazillion boxes is that they don't drop from boxes. D'oh! They drop from the Imperial City bosses. That must be where I got the single drop and didn't notice until after the box opening session.

I have been playing on the PTS checking out the new companions.
Ember has shown a dislike for fishing, so Cat Man Dhou is disappointed. She is likely to be a decent magic dps companion for his tank apart from that.
Isobel comes with heavy gear, and Templar skills, the inverse of Bastian. Clark is trying her in light as a healer.
Quests are buggy, and there is one mob, faun, that is invisible and not targetable to the player. You need a companion to handle them. I am sure this is not intended.

And the most important news - female Bosmer walk like they should again!

PTS stuff:
Clark has raised Isobel's rapport enough to get her first personal quest. It takes you to Stros M'kai, Vvardenfell, Stormhaven, and Craglorn, before returning to High Isle. Another reason they've given everyone Morrowind. Isobel rapport comes from Undaunted dailies (in case you were missing Bolgrul) and High Isle WB dailies.
Cat Man Dhou hasn't got that far with Ember, although she should be easier to build rapport with, having three dailies that give +125. However, one of those is Thieves Guild Heists, so CMD will only get +250/day, by doing Mages Guild and High Isle delve dailies. She's at 1250, now, so tomorrow should do it.
There's no indication of Bastian getting another +125 daily, so he has just one, while Ember has three. Strange.

Thanks for the update, ghastley. I don't do the PTS, but I get the impression from the official forums that player feedback during the PTS cycle is not too relevant and what PTS starts as pretty much equals the finished product. They don't really seem nimble enough to adjust during the PTS run but sometimes, good things come a cycle or two later. . . . I guess during the creation of Ember and Isobel, they listened to the desire to speed up rapport, but didn't retro-apply that to Mirri & Bastion.

QUOTE(Acadian @ Apr 26 2022, 01:27 PM)

Is High Isles pretty and medievally looking? I miss the feel of such zones as Auridon and Glenumbra in that regard.
It has a nicely consistent style, that is less gaudy than Summerset/Auridon, and on a par with Genumbra, but distinct from it. Limestone, rather than granite, but of the same period. High Isle is rocky, with sparse trees, and Amenos, the other island, is covered in jungle. So a nice contrast, if a bit unrealistic that they'd be side-by-side like that.
Town planning is a bit off, with cargo docks having no ramp access only stairs, and other silly mistakes. A lot of unrealistic maze-like pathing, just to make places seem larger than they are, but you expect that by now. My pet peeve is moored boats with full sails, but they've always had that issue. It's just more common in the island context, and done with larger ships.
Castle Navire has a jousting arena, but nobody (yet?) using it. Since you can't fight while mounted, I'm surprised they're reminding us of that.

Something of very short duration here but one of today's endeavors is to kill 5 stone atronachs. Conventional wisdom is they can be found in one of the trials. Ugh. Some clever poster on the official forum, however, discovered that the stone totems summoned by Walks Like Thunder (Echoing Hollow WB in Murkmire) count. Well Buffy popped over there and they sure do. Easy to get the endeavor in one go and there are plenty of players learning about this there to help.

Could hear the music but black screen so couldn't do anything. I very nervously uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Took just over an hour and Buffy came up perfectly. Even her addons were perfect. My gut told me the problem with Reshade was that it didn't like my GEForce Experience. So I did some research and learned about GEForce Experience (a Nvidia thing) and how it has its own graphics enhancing stuff. Hmm, I've always used GEForce Experience to help keep my graphics card updated but didn't really look into its other abilities. More research, and learned how to use it. Works very nicely and I've been able to enhance our graphics very nicely. All in all, a good adventure.

Great news! After 3 days of explaining (and explaining) the issue to the support folks, they were able to restore my access.
As it turns out, the issue was that the ESO account was associated with an old email address which I cannot get into any more, and have not been able to sign in to for YEARS.
Once I was able to convince them that I was really me (by letting them know that the email "forgetful goof@isp.com" was incommunicado) I got in tonight.
