I just learned something new & interesting. In the vanilla game, most NPCs (the random ones, anyways) respawn in exactly the same spot on which they died. This creates some interesting situations. If I take the time to drag an enemy, they will stay wherever I put them.
I have not tested this yet to see if it's true, but it certainly explains a few things--like the multiple enemies which kept respawning in front of Megaton. These enemies were mostly radscorps and a variety of giant ants. They'd all respawn after 3 days, and this is why Deputy Weld kept getting his @$$ handed to him.
Anyways, assuming this is true, what I'll start to do is (for instance) remove the raiders Marge encountered above one of the subway stations completely away from their safe hiding spot. In theory, they'll respawn far away from this spot, meaning my next character will be able to just utilize it as a free storage place. Also, if this is true, it means I'll be able to drag two differing types of enemies (like raiders and super-mutants) near one another. When my next character shows up, BOOM! They're too busy fighting each other (wearing their health down) and all I'll have to do is wait until the fighting's done.
I realize that this is a bit of a cheat, but you know what? I don't care. Let's have some fun.
I have a pretty good idea for my next character.

I'm giving it a bit of time, but he should be a good one once I've got a few things sorted out.
