Could be, Khajiit. I am not sure what Veronica's personal quest is. That's probably buried under all the other Misc quests. For now, Linda isn't pursuing anything there, other than .. uh ... companionship. Hug_emoticon.gif

Yes it is Teamwork, very perceptive.

Linda's game is going to shift, by the way. She started to try finding Vault 3 but the place is just surrounded by mobs. Linda got bonked in the head pretty badly, and got a concussion. It's just too much for her to handle. She's focusing on easier stuff from now on. Maybe in the future I'll roll a new too-- I mean create a new character.

SubRosa
A new too-, um character? That means a new name!

Lol, indeed!

Jan has been busy in post apocalyptia. She just finished exploring all of the west bank of the DC ruins today. Including the Nuka Plant. Now she can make nuka grenades. She has cleared the entire eastern bank of the river already, and about half the ruins on that side of the river. Including most of the metros lines.

Before her latest sojourn into the wastes she relived Moriarity of the torment of life. She returned several days later to find Gob's name over his on the saloon, and Nova no longer a working girl. So improvements all around.

Now she has ventured out west. Finding dear old dad is on her list of things to do while he is out there. Eventually.
Renee
Yeha, another silly name, soon! I've got a longer list of names for males than I do females, so I'm sure I'll find something funny. Next character will probly be a man. There are a lot of guys in real-life who don't mind getting into situations which they can potentially get beat up (I've worked with a few), whereas Linda's not like this. nono.gif

Congrats on pwning Moriarty, that guy's an ass.

Today I packed up my gear for this year's Point Lookout trip. As always I will do the ghoul hunt in the N-E as well as wandering the swamp and maybe visit Renee in her moonshine house biggrin.gif

I'm currently in Rivet City with Gunny and next session will have us going to the ferry and heading over to the hicks. Will be fun! Well, for me anyway. Gunny will as usual be staying in the Capital Wasteland, just by the docks, awaiting my return.

I started over, and just had a weird encounter. January was on her way from Megaton to the Super Duper Mart, and stopped in the ruined house on the road between the two. The one with the Chinese Stealth Manual in it. She had just picked up the manual when someone ran up to her and forced dialogue.

Those!

Then he ran off.

I am not sure if that has ever happened before. Usually it is always Bryan. I am sure he is coming, since I just got to the Super Duper Mart. He is usually never far away.
Renee
Ha that is unusual. Maybe if a Settler gets too close to Greyditch, some unused AI kicks in IF the Player is also near.

Yes, I'd say Bryan is still on his way. panic.gif

SubRosa
Now that I ruminate my brain cells on it, I am sure this has happened to me before. I remember that guys face, and his "I'm not saying its aliens"-guy hair. It has been a really long time since I have played Fallout 3.

That guy gets Grayditch on your map; but won't give you the "Those" quest. Sometimes Bryan's AI has him missing for a while; and that Wastelander steers you to the town where you can hopefully find either Bryan or Lesko. It was a great failsafe move on Bethesda's part = one of the things I always loved (still love) so much about that game =
the Devs covered every possibility in those quests. It really made the game great!

Lopov
I encountered that wastelander only once, it was in the Hobo's game. The encounter took place very far from Grayditch, somewhere close to Paradise Falls, I think.

EDIT: It's good that I take so many pics. Here it is, the wastelander running to the Hobo. The pic is about 4 years old, says Imgur.

I did some things different in January's new game. This time around she took the subway tunnels from the west bank of the Potomac all the way to the Mall. There she got the Virgo dish from the Lunar Module. This is without going to GNR or meeting Three Dog. She went to the Washington Monument, but could not get in. It is locked and can only be opened with a key.

So now she backtracked and made her way to GNR. Interesting thing, Sarah Lyons and company were not there. January had to fight her way through the mutant hordes on her own. The dead BOS'er with the Fatman was not in front of GNR either. I looked it up in the Fallout Wiki, and it says that this is normal if you do it in this order.

However, once going inside January was able to talk to Three Dog as normal, and got the quest to install the dish. She is now on the way back to the Wash Mon to install it.

Ha ha laugh.gif Galaxy News Radio. That's the station which plays all the "cool" old music, Sarah Vaughn and Billy Holiday-type music (not that those two artists are in the game, but it's that sort of music). There is also Enclave Radio, which plays patriotic songs, such as Yankee Doodle Dandy. smile.gif

It is October and with that I have once again finished another safari at Plik's. The two other guys are still there and they joined in as usual. But like last year I was heavily overpowered, mainly with mines, and the actual fight was at a minimum. I think I fired one or two short bursts with the Vulcan minigun and that was it tongue.gif

The walk to the safari was quite uneventful. I sniped one Brawler and got the attention of one Scrapper and later two vicious dogs. I also found one lonely ghoul at the cathedral's cemetary.

Now I will roam Point Lookout and hit all the major locations smile.gif

Today I visited the Ritual Site and the detention camp up north. The Fat Man proved useful at the Ritual Site, and at the camp the robots had taken care of all the ghouls except one Reaver which my Vulcan soon chew up. Afterwards I did as usual resurrect the two robots and even though I was as far away as I could they still detected me but of course never caught up with me.

Tuesday, 12.24.81, 5:05 PM -- Linda Hand is back at Fort McCarran. Still dancing around NCR chores. And she still doesn't want to officially join them. Thankfully, there are plenty of soldiers in the camp who just want her to help them do stuff in the Vegas area. No strings attached.

6:13 PM -- Linda has decided to just walk around McCarran, asking people about suspicious activity. This will require her to talk to people, and talking to people is one thing she's good at.

But whoa, she just met Doctor Kemp. Kemp just informed Linda he's now giving her a discount on medical supplies, for finding Morales's cawpse, and dragging it out of enemy territory. Did not expect that.

Today was the last day in Point Lookout. Roamed around the rest of the map hitting some key locations and lastly I went across the beach and took out three smugglers. That's four in total with a fourth one already laying dead when arriving at the boardwalk at the start of October.

Over-encumbered as usual but when I got back to the Capital Wasteland and Gunny, I off-loaded the Fatman onto him which was well enough. Next session will see us heading back to Megaton posthaste, and that will be it for the 2020 season! smile.gif

That's why you end up with so many millions of caps, right? Because you constantly overburdrn your character and then sell all this junk. indifferent.gif

Oh, yeas biggrin.gif

I made up this little quest mod in my head years ago when all locations had been discovered and all the quests I wanted to do were done. Getting as many caps as possible is an open-ended quest which is why I chose it; I'll never run out of things to do! laugh.gif

You should try this mod out, mirocu. I'm serious. It'll give Mirocu something else to do. It's also not outside of vanilla. All in-game resources, nothing which might seem out of place to you. And it's fun!

I think so far 10 bounties have been made. He's eventually aiming for 20, although because of another outbreak in his country, he's had to halt progress for awhile. The version I have includes only the first six hunts ,which I estimate will take me 3 or 4 months to complete. emot-ninja1.gif

Final day in the Capital Wasteland as of 2020. I am now back in Megaton having first parked Gunny to guard the front gate as usual.

The walk, or rather run, back home was pretty uneventful save from one tripod and a Yogi Bear. No opportunity to sell anything once we were back but all is set for next year; trinkets are stored, health is tiptop and guns are selected. Three 24-hour sleep and I'm now sitting in the chair next to my home lab.

Sunday, 01.17.82, 1:09 AM -- Linda Hand is back in El Rey motel. Still helping McCarran's cook find a bunch of parts: two firehose nozzles, four pieces of scrap metal, and so on. The cook needs these parts so he can build McCarran's mess hall kitchen into something Homes and Gardens (the magazine) would be proud of.

Ahem. Linda's got most of these parts by now. The hardest ones to acquire are Fission Batteries. mad.gif Chet, the guy in Goodsprings, sells these, but they're really expensive. So the next option is to find four of these. But where can she get them? From robots. And there are supposed to be plenty of robots in the Sunset Sasparilla Headquarters, which is nearby.

So that's where she's going next: Sunset Sasparilla Headquarters. Blam!

Renee
Date: 01.30.82, 21:05

Minimum Temperature: 37.9 °F
Mean Temperature 48.5 °F

Linda Hand returns to her everlasting motel room in Novac. The weather outside is cold, but not brutal. It's always good to return home (to return to a home).

"It's good to be home," she says to Veronica, her everlasting companion. "Guess we'll stay here for the night, and then get up bright and early."

"Shoulda brought something to read," Veronica pouts. "You're the boss."

"But I'm not, though. Not the boss. Come on, V. We talked about this."

Veronica doesn't reply. Just like her, at this late hour. Whatever. Tomorrow will be another big day.

Exactly. My first main character Marge N. Overra, was also low-leveled to try getting involved with Big Town. Difference was, she was afraid of supermutants,, whereas it sounds like Mirocu was not?

Oh noes, poor Shorty!

Now a days I always stock up on assault rifles and combat armor throughout the game. Then when I have enough I take it all out to Big Town and do the quest. I use the console to access all the NPCs inventories, and gear them with with guns and armor. When the mutants attack, they clean their clocks in seconds.
Renee
Red becomes the town medic when she returns to Big Town, so yes, I wonder what Shorty would have become. I went on The Vault Fallout Wiki page for Short-T and it says nothing about his possible future. Kind of neat that he gets his nickname from his overall stature.

Oh nice! That is smart, Rosa. Cho usually travels with his C-Team (Citadel team, or Cho team, depending... here is a pic), and yes, they can generally clean anybody's clock within 30 seconds or less. These are three respawning guys I added into his game: one is a dedicated Flamer, one uses assault rifles, and the third guy prefers energy weapons.

Only exception are the Enclave. mad.gif Those guys are really tough. There have been a couple times when Cho has lost a teammate due to Enclave attacks. indifferent.gif Fortunately they respawn after 3 days. My favorite two fights in that whole game were the Raven Rock implosion (= after moving the force meet from the Super Mutant follower to outside the gate so it doesn't ruin your view of the battle) and crossing that bridge over the Potomac behind Liberty Prime! It doesn't get any better than those two battles!

My first times doing those two battles was on the XBox 360 with vibration in the controller = the controller was vibrating so hard crossing that bridge that I had to clutch it to keep it from leaping out of my hands!!!! AWESOME battles!!!

If they don't Respawn, then their inventory also won't respawn. I think. Only if an NPC respawns (a generic Security Guard in Tenpenny Tower, for instance) will his/her inventory also respawn.

And ya'll know my drill by now; collected Gunny outside Megaton and off we went to shoot whatever we could find and gather as much loot as possible. This season first brought us to Bethesda ruins, Wil Wheaton armory and Canterbury Commons.

Cho here, just chilling out in Moriarty's place. Haven't made one of these recordings in awhile. Months, for sure. Lots has been happening. Break.

Just saved a bunch of settlers up in Big Town, saved them from supermutants, that is. Damn things. Big and ugly, and they make fantastic targets for my specialized assault rifle. That was fun. No casualties on my end, although one of the settlers lost his life. Hate to say, but I blame myself for that one. Wasn't looking on my Pipboy compass when I shoulda been.
