Dot has been scavving in the Capital Wasteland. She recently cleared out the ants from Marigold Station, got an ant-mutagen from the doc responsible, and then blew his brains out for what he did to the people living in Greyditch. Or the people who used to live there at least. Next up, Canterbury Commons.

Eva recently did this quest. She also contemplated avenging thr deaths of the townsfolk, but instead gave the doc a few harsh words. She couldn't do it... Which is a shame because I would have! Haha

But Lesko seemed to have little to no remorse for his actions. The only heart he showed was related to Bryan Wilkes, and even that seemed forced; as if he was only saying it to have the lone wanderer think.he cares enough so they do his bidding.

At first my characters were the same way. But somewhere along the line I realized that I could just blow his brains out without getting negative karma. He does not have a very long lifespan in my games anymore.

I (and Dot) agree. In fact, yesterday she talked down the AntAgonizer and turned her back to the light side. The thing with Doc Lesko though, is that he did not desire redemption. He admits he made a mistake with his mutagen, that made the ants breathe fire. But he refuses to admit there was anything morally wrong with killing everyone in Greyditch. So he got a buckshot brain enema.

He may lack the ability to show regret or emotions, but most brainiacs do and many are not evil still
I´d say if he shrugs it off and goes ahead with what he´s doing or even use someone unwilling as test subject, that´s another thing..

SubRosa edit: I remember not liking him and if I deem someone as pure evil than I whack ´em, simple as that. But for some reason I didn´t so I guess I didn´t see him as pure evil. Don´t know why when you put it like that..

Lesko reminds me of a nuclear scientist (Edward Teller?) whom I saw an interview with about the post WWII nuclear testing program, especially of the hydrogen bomb. Where other scientists like Robert Oppenheimer expressed regret for their work on nuclear weapons, and even tried to lobby against their use, this other fella said they were great. He had no remorse for the U.S. soldiers and Polynesian civilians were were irradiated by his bomb tests. He was ticked off about the ban on testing, and wanted to continue it indefinitely.

That was an interesting read, SubRosa. I can see the Lesko comparison.

It was Edward Teller. He said that at the end of the war (WWII), many people wanted to stop the research on nuclear weapons. But he wanted to continue for the sake of pure knowledge if nothing else. He said he never regretted any of it, and that he was proud of his part in creating nuclear weapons (including the hydrogen bomb). That stands in stark contrast to what Einstein said "If only I had known, I should have become a watchmaker."

In other news, Dot, a.k.a the AntAgonizer, completed the Wasteland Survival Guide today. I was disappointed that it was only the moderate level book, even though Dot did all of the quests (rather than lie about them), and did all of the optional bonus objectives.

Oh wait, I see what I missed. I forgot to hack the Robco mainframe after putting the widget in. I went back and redid it, and now I got the best book.

Which also reminds me to mention. Dot - the new AntAgonizer - had her first autograph seeker today. She is AntTastic!

Great story there, Sub! I also got the best book from Moira But what do you mean with someone wanting her autograph?

A kid came up to her and asked for her autograph It was very cool. (Dot did not charge him 10 caps though! She's always appreciative of her loyal supporters.) That's why she's Ant-Tastic!

But how did it happen? Do you have to put the suit on for the kid to approach you like that?

I guess. Dot's been wearing the AntAgonizer suit since she turned AntAg I back to the light side - carrying on her her place. She may not be the superhero the Capital Wasteland wants, but she's the one it needs right now. She's an Ant Knight.

I notice that you are sitting on a mountain of caps too. That makes me wonder, what do people do when they have more money than Tenpenny? It kind of makes scavenging feel pointless. The AntAgonizer has been just ignoring most loot these days. She even took a pass on all the pristine guns in the National Guard Armory because, she did not have a use for any of them. A little while ago I decided to start donating it to charity. She gave most of her money to the water-beggar in front of Megaton, so he could buy himself a place in Tenpenny Tower or Rivet City (I used the console to remove 10k caps, and then used the disable command on the beggar to make him vanish).

That´s an old pic. Now I´m up to over 30.000 caps! My goal is 100.000 caps, just for funzies

I don´t see scavenging pointless even with so much money. I´d like to think of it as my job out there in the Wasteland; bring stuff back to sell so others can buy them. Plus there´s always the living expenses, i.e ammo useage

That's a nice and admirable thing to do, SubRosa! All Eva can manage to do is purchase as much purified water as possible to give to the beggar (console restrictions! Haha)



Eva is the same. Eva has a lot of money, which leaves her not really wanting for anything. Luckily the money comes to good use as, she is a very lightly armored Melee fighter, stimpaks have become a necessity, so she is never without them thanks to the money in her pocket

I don't see anything about that in those pics. The AntAgonizer never worries about rads. Her suit has some rad resistance, and after she pops a Rad-X her rad resistance is maxxed out. She rarely gets more than 1 rad for wading through water, and she does not even take any rads from eating things like mirelurk meat or drinking nuka cola.

Being conscious of the environment is even more important after a nuclear winter than ever!

Besides, as a superhero, Dot has a legion of adoring fans who look up to her. What kind of message would she be sending if she was not doing her part to help the world get back on its feet? Blowing off the heads of super muties is only half the battle after all (though it is a very fun part!).

Well I shouldn´t be on your case about this. After all, mpls Big Daddy takes pride in activating all the parking meters, saying the need to pay for one´s parking space is still important

Today the AntAgonizer tangled with Super Mutants all around Vault 87, visited Little Lamplight, and got roped into escorting Stinky, or whatever that putz's name is, to Big Town. I swear if she was not a superhero, she would have killed that annoying twit!
