Even on my 3rd playthrough of Point Lookout I still didn't find Ruzka, the pre-war wonder bear, now a feral Yao Guai. I refuse to look on the Wiki where is she located but so far no luck. I assume that her lair is an unmarked location but still, I searched most of PL (at least I think I did) and still not a clue about her.

The most possible option is that she's located somewhere very close to map borders or even slightly over them because there might be some places which I missed.

I created a mod that marks Roy is evil, so you don't lose karma for killing him. I also disabled Three Dog's comments on the radio calling you a bastard for doing it. I have not had the chance to test it out though. Want to try it?

I can if no one else feels up to it. Roy doesnīt pose any threat to anyone unless you do the quest so I just left him in the sewers, but I can take him out in the name of mod-testing biggrin.gif

A fresh victim! Muuuhhhaaaahhhhaaaa! devilsmile.gif

Erm, I mean thanks for volunteering to test it out. laugh.gif

Here is a link to Kill Roy Phillips. I mainly just want to make sure I deleted all of Three Dog's negative comments about killing him.

Yes, that was weird losing Karma, that's for sure. Cho's first time losing some. Then again, Tenpenny doesn't have the best of intentions. It's a grey area, all of it.

So, with two of the three generators disabled, Trey decided to check out the cargo hold. Apparently, the aliens have an abiding fascination with the Giddyup Buttercup horse- or else they transported the entire factory with them. Trey's only regret is that he can't find a way to bring a couple of the horse with him to add to his Megaton house's Pre-War decor.

laugh.gif This made me giggle.

As he rested from taking out the Cryolab generator on Mothership Zeta (and from listening to Tercorien's yammering), Trey kept having a recurring dream...

He asked Paulson, the real live, Old Earth cowboy, to assist him in the hangar. And Paulson kept dying. Trey tried mining the entries the aliens would use- he tried blasting them with the pylon towers, he tried lurking closer to the doors they came from- but Paulson died every time. And then, when he woke up at last, Trey realized... if he doesn't take Paulson WITH him, the cowboy won't die...

So, with two of the three generators disabled, Trey decided to check out the cargo hold. Apparently, the aliens have an abiding fascination with the Giddyup Buttercup horse- or else they transported the entire factory with them. I love that Giddyup Buttercup horse! And most def wanted to see it on my shelf and desk at home too!

Thank you, thank you! I've always hated that quest because of what 3 Dog says about you afterward; and knowing what the ghouls do to the residents of that tower if you use the mediation ending - no way in heck they were going to be in there, lol. So I've always killed them and let 3 Dog call me prejudice; but hated it when he did.

The karma hit was easy to handle, I just went to the St. Monica church in Rivet City and dropped a few donations off, lol.

This is awesome! Thank you so much !!!

I've never found her either; and I know where she is supposed to be! I thought she may have been left out of production, but she wasn't because other people have found her. So I must just not have looked far enough, verysad.gif

SubRosa
I have found her every time. It is not easy to get to where she is. It helps if you have the border regions disabled, so you can move past the map edges. But you can still get to her within the vanilla map area.

Found an extraordinary amount of Outcasts this time. From Luckyīs up to Lamplight I must have encountered at least five of them in three or four different patrols. I also came across two Outcast Robobrains.

At least one Outcast was found dead, got looted and resurrected. And another "got killed by provoked unfriendly fire" hehe.gif , looted and resurrected. So now I have a completely repaired Outcast armour set! biggrin.gif

After much creeping about through corridors and blowing up of generators- plus bonus shooting of many aliens in the head- Trey reached the bridge of the alien ship and killed the Captain. (He also managed to find 2 Buttercup toy horses- yay).

The Captain and his crew fell to a few well-placed disintegrator shots, and then a space battle ensued. Once it was all over, Tercorien mumbled and stumbled around until finally explaining that he had launched a homing beacon that should get Trey back the to vicinity of D.C....

However, it didn't quite work out that way....

After stepping onto the teleporter, Trey felt himself being.... stretched.

When he regained some semblance of consciousness, he was somewhere that looked and ... smellled... far different from the D.C. Wasteland. But even as he tried to process all that- a fellow in a garish checked coat said something about "Sorry you got in the middle of all this," and proceeded to pull an automatic pistol and shoot Trey... in the head... giving him a taste of what the many aliens must have experienced...

WOO HOO, Treydoggie is going to New Vegas !!!

SubRosa
Very cool way to seque into the Nevada Wasteland!
Lopov
That's a good idea of teleporting Trey from the Capital Wasteland to the Mojave, though he appeared in the wrong place at the wrong time.

How do you folks know he's about to go to Vegas?

Things went dark for some indeterminate time and Trey wondered if this was what death was like- just another Vault?

But then he slowly awakened, with a nasty headache and a pleasant fellow asking him how he felt.

He was apparently a doctor, by the name of Doc Mitchell. At least he wasn't as grumpy as Doc Church back in Megaton. He did ask some strange questions, though.

And the gunshot to the head really scrambled more than Trey's brains- it appeared that a lot of the things he had learned how to do where no longer accessible. And then there was the whole business about him being some sort of "courier."

And people were talking about Nevada and California- which were a long, bloody way from D.C.

But one thing was familiar- the Vault 21 jumpsuit Doc Mitchell gave to Trey before sending him out the door into the town of Goodsprings...

101 or 21, it made no difference- luck was where you found it.

Provoked friendly fire? Did you enter their locked building - or even just pick the lock? If so, they make it their business to hunt you down from here on out; increasing their patrols and searching for you everywhere and are extremely hostile.

I mean, why can't they just get over it; so I took some alien power cells!

But since my one bad experience with them over that, I've stayed out of their building.

mirocu
By "provoked unfriendly fire" I mean shoot at an enemy so he comes after you, then use someone as a shield... tongue.gif

Today while shooting a raider with a poison dart in VATS, somehow Gunny joined in and shot at his head, killing him and making him fall over forwards at the same time while still in VATS laugh.gif

On a related note, I heard that vats will not stop time in FO4; so mob fights are going to be much tougher!

Following Doc Mitchell's advice, Trey went to the Goodsprings Saloon, looking for someone named "Sunny Smiles." Really? he thought to himself. What sort of name is that?

But then he met a girl. A girl with a rifle and a dog and red hair.

She offered to help him get his bearings, so Trey floated out of the saloon in her wake. If he hadn't already been half in love with the red hair, the way she filled her leather adventuring gear, or the way her voice seemed to caress his ears- the deal was sealed when she gave him a bolt rifle of his own and asked him to shoot at some empty bottles.

After that, when she asked if he wanted to help her chase some lizards away from the water tanks, he didn't have to think twice. She could have asked him to throw rocks at deathclaws and he would have thought it sounded like a great idea...

After the hunt concluded successfully- including Trey rescuing a Goodsprings resident from getting gecko'd- Sunny went on her way. Trey was trying to figure out what to offer a girl who had everything when a large mechanical man rolled up and introduced himself as "Victor."

That was the name the doctor mentioned- Victor was the one who had pulled Trey out of his premature burial and brought him into town to get patched up. So, even though this was a type of bot Trey had never seen before, he decided anyone who saved you from being buried (mostly) alive was a friend. The mech seemed to have some odd gaps in his memory, though, perhaps a mystery for another time...

Sunny Smiles... it was a perfect name, after all....

Today I was running around with Gunny in the western area when I came upon a very wounded Outcast. Seeing as I already had some Power Armour I thought I could follow him, wait until he dies, take all his stuff and resurrect him. You know, standard procedure wink.gif

But even though we met radscorpions, Talons and I donīt know how many raiders he simply refused to bite the dust. It wouldnīt have taken much either seeing as he only had one sliver of life left. All in all I followed him from where you find Vault 12 all the way up to the long bridge in the north; he simply refused to take a hit! Nothing got to him!

Well, at this point I thought he had deserved to just get along patrolling and with his now two slivers of health (donīt know how that happened) I left him somewhere on the bridge, going back again.

He lived to fight another day cool.gif

As the destructive fire consumed Megaton, brightening the entire Wasteland and forever erasing the town from the Capital Wasteland, Deeno, standing on the highest balcony of the Tenpenny Tower, thought...

...of Nova, the young girl whom he paid 120 caps to be serviced and wondered if he was perhaps her last customer...

...of Simms, the town's sheriff whom he insulted by calling him "Calamity Jane"...

...of Billy Creel who took care of some 9-yrs old girl called Maggie whom Deeno never met. And never will...

...of Gob, the ghoul bartender, whom Deeno forbade to look him in the eyes...

...of Jenny who always had fresh food on the menu...

...of Moriarty, whom he never met in person but kept hearing about him at every corner in Megaton.

All of these people and many others were now gone, their lives abruptly ended after pressing just one button. Deeno's thoughts were interrupted when Mr Burke rewarded him with 500 caps and handed him a key and a deed to a luxurious suite in the Tenpenny Tower. While this day signified the end of Megaton, it represented a promising start of a new chapter in Deeno's life.

On another note, can someone help me with the console commands for getting a killed NPC back who has vanished? Is it something with prid? Help!! verysad.gif

Mirocu, that command is two lines:

Prid {Ref ID}
Moveto Player

Make sure it is the Ref ID, not the Base ID. You can get them both in the Wikia

Thanks, SubRosa! smile.gif

I gotta write this down now... tongue.gif

Whoa, does that really happen, we can blow Megaton up, and this is how we get Tenpenny to give us a key to that suite? It's a spoiler, but it's okay, because this is not something Cho would ever dream of doing. Still though, that's pretty intense.

Cho here, reporting on the outcome of Tenpenny Towers. I'm in Megaton right now, far away from that place. I'm rather disappointed in those people actually. They had this ghoul problem, and I took care of it. I even lost karma dealing with those [censored]. All they did was pay me caps, a good heap of them, but I wanted something more. I wanted to live there. Place seems to be all booked up though. No room for me. Which is bull[censored] because I happen to know they've got an empty suite on one of their top floors. I wanted that suite. Break.

But it just ... it goes to show how people are out here. You know? I do them a major favor, went "above and beyond", as the past-time expression would go, I expect a little more. Anyways, the good news is I think that after all this time, I might finally have enough caps to buy the information from that Moriarty, about where my father went. Some of you out there listening to this message might be thinking "why not just beat it out of him?" .. but it's not that easy. Break.

Moriarty is the only one who knows where my father went whom I can speak to directly. Trust me, I've asked everyone, everywhere, about an older Asian male who left Vault 101 weeks ago. Only Moriarty knows, or at least he promises to. I have no other option. The only other guy who might know is a guy who talks on the radio. Named Hound Dog, or something. He mentioned a whole group left 101, and how did he manage to get this information? How could he know? He might have an answer too, but who knows where the [censored] he is, you know? Break.

Anways, now i have to go see Moira Brown, she'lll have caps for me too. Because I did some more work for her, some computer work at a place called RobCo. Yaaah caps!

unidentified male voice: Hey there!

Almost forgot to mention something. One of the merchants in Tenpenny had this awesome set of armor, really bitchin' suit made of metal. Like a samurai set of armor, with big spikes on its shoulders! It'll be hard to repair, but it's my new fave. Actually here. I managed to get some kid to take a picture of me wearing this armor last night.

He has done a lot of stuff I've heard and never made the connection till you posted this! How versatile his voice is, that is amazing!

The man who voiced Tolfdir, Calcelmo, and several other voices in Skyrim died a few weeks ago, and in looking over his repertoire I was shocked at how many things he had done that I had seen him in and never connected the voice for some reason - I can only assume his voice is/was amazingly versatile. But he was also an actor I saw in hundreds of things; but always in a supporting role - but he was always so believable in the role that you had a tendency not to really key in on him! He was even in the original SNL "Not ready for primetime players" and went uncredited there, he was like a star in everything he played in, even if he never got the starring role for it. (George Coe; or Cohen).

You have to be badder than bad to get that suite. hehe.gif But believe me, without mods it's very boring, only one room compared to Megaton house which actually is a house. Mods greatly enhance it, though. My favorite part of the suite is the balcony and the view from it.

SubRosa and I could help Cho get in there if you play on the PC, lol.

Of course, you can just use "Unlock" on the door and go in; and everything is safe storage and you can sleep in the bed, etc.

But if you want to own it - or if you already own the Megaton house and want to also own the tower suite =

Here is the console commands I entered:

To get the Tenpenny Suite Key:

player.additem 0001522E 1

To start the dialogue quest for Lydia Montenegro to sell items for furnishing the suite:

SetStage 0007B234,0

WARNING: Don't buy a theme if you have already bought a theme for the Megaton house and have personal items stored in it! The Megaton house will reset and you will lose your items!

You can only have one theme between the two places, they both automatically have the same theme. Whatever you give one place, the other will get.

So if you want a theme in there do this in the beginning of the game either before getting the Megaton house, or before buying a theme for Megaton - most def before storing anything in it.

To go to the Tenpenny suite from anywhere in game:

coc tenpenny03player

That transports you inside the suite from anywhere.

Oh no, Cho's game is on Xbox hon, but thanks. I want to BEAT (ahem) the Main Quest on Xbox before I start fooling with PC games.

Thanks for all your info there. One of mine will eventually wind up in Tenpenny.

You can copy your saves from the X-Box to the PC. I think you just have to rename the file extension on them from .fxs to .fos. Then you could beat the game with the same toons on the PC.

So I've found a new way to make some caps. This fellow here in Megaton will give me some caps for scrap metal. Pretty cool. I've been finding this sort of scrap all over the place, but leaving it where I found it, because I didn't know anybody would give me money for it. But that has changed. I just got back from walking all over, collecting the stuff. Found some in Springvale Elementary, found some in the Metro tunnels, found some in Arlington Library. Like I said, all over. Break.

This guy I found, I forget his name, but I helped him repair some pipes here in Megaton, and so he promised to pay more than usual for these scraps. Here, I'm about to speak to him.

unidentified male voice: You have any scrap metal for me?

Wow, you remember, eh? I like that.

unidentified male voice: Hmm? Um .. yeah, what is it?

I've got plenty of pieces for you, right here in this suitcase. What is your name, by the way?

unidentified male voice: I've sure got some, sonny. And my name is Walter.

Well here. Take all the scrap metal I have. I'm sure Megaton can use plenty of it.

Walter: Well alright! Let me count out your caps!

Whoa, that's a lot of caps. 110 in total? Hey Walter thanks! You don't know what I have to go through out there to get all this stuff. So, anything new going on?

Walter: Sure, you got the purifier working right again. But if it runs out of water to pump, then we're still screwed!

Mmmm hmm, and you want me to do something about this?

Walter: Well, back to work.

Um. Yeah. Sure. Me too.

Walter: Yes, that's locked, and yes, I can see you eyeing it.

rollinglaugh.gif about the final sentence! I laugh each time when even the friendliest NPCs will warn you about not even thinking of breaking in some locked object.

"That's locked for a reason!"

I've heard that said just for passing by the Sheriff in Megaton's door - by some generic female resident, laugh.gif

Funny Fallout 3 message in Museum of Technology: Also, be sure an[d] visit our Flight Experience Gallery, where you can take a simulated airline flight on board a full size jetliner, or step into the hair-raising white-knuckle world of air traffic control in our Tower of Terror exhibit.

And here's another one.

This lecture explores the very real possibility that nuclear war may not be as far off as we think and the effects it will have on the future of our planet. By illustrating past uses of smaller scale atomic weapons, Professor Gumbie will shock you, frighten you, and make you wish you could just Duck and Cover to survive a real nuclear attack. Tickets are now available for this Lecture Series at the Information Desk in the Main Atrium.

Yeah, you gotta love the whole vibe that they created. The world has gone to hell but don't worry about a thing, Bob Marley/ Peter Tosh style. Lol.

Elmer Fudd is back in the Mojave again. After dealing with the man in the checker suit he is now exploring the south end of the map. He walked over half a day to reach a huge tower in the distance. Thinking (well me, not Elmer) that it would be like Tennypenny Tower he was disappointed to find that it does not have an interior cell.

Obsidian are really trying to tease me here with that one.

For those wondering it was the airport tower.
