It's true though, isn't it?

Caps are worth something, bottles are not, but in modern times the reverse is true, depending which state you live in.

Hey. Just arrived at Rivet City. This place is amazing. Huge. A gigantic old war ship. Not what I expected at all. Break.
Nice to be somewhere safe. I don't know how to say, but it's tough out here in the Wasteland. One can only feel completely safe and relaxed in two places: Megaton, and now Rivet City. ... I hear people. Somebody talking. But I don't see anybody. And hold on...just found some sort of old filing cabinet.
unidentifiable sounds, Pip Boy app cannot decipher
Nothing in those cabinets. But you have to check anyway. Never know where something useful might be located. Break.
I have to go. Somebody up ahead, maybe a sentry.

Yeah. Hold on. I got some water.

They live on THAT gigantic old ship. That's what Rivet City is, a giant ship. Place is so big, I had to break it up into two pictures.

I really, really like Cho's descriptions of fights from his Pip-Boy. His observations about bottle caps and C O I N S are appropriate too, if someone finds his Pip Boy some day and listens to his entries. Hopefully this won't happen, though.
Rivet City is a great town, my favorite in the Wasteland, both Capital and Mojave. They did a good job with it and its residents, almost each of them has its own story. Nice pics too, particularly the 2nd one, I like the sky over the Rivet City.

I have a new character wandering the Mojave...
Name: Wilson
Race: Caucasian
Age: 37
S 7
P 4
E 8
C 5
I 5
A 7
L 5
Primary skills: Guns, Survival, Unarmed
Traits: Heavy Handed, Hot Blooded
About: Wilson was a reclusive raider. Not a typical one that’d shoot at anything that moves while being high on drugs, though. He wasn’t a raider because he’d enjoy killing, and they say that he avoided killing unless victims didn’t comply. He was a raider because he didn’t know how to do anything else.
A former heavyweight champion from New Reno, Wilson left the infamous town behind and decided to find his fortune in the wastes. He quickly realized that being selfish and unscrupulous was the quickest way to get rich, but also the quickest way to die young. Nonetheless, living a dangerous life fulfilled him.
However, in October 2277, just when Wilson was about to raid a small settlement called Goodsprings, he was ambushed and knocked unconscious by strangers, interested in the small chip which he agreed to bring to New Vegas to ensure his entry to the Sin City. His attackers shot him in the head and buried him, but he was saved by robot Victor and treated by the local doctor. Ironically, his life was saved by the same people whom he intended to raid…

I like Rivet City too

It´s a fun place and a good place to prep for Point Lookout. It´s what I did before I got there and also it´s when I arranged the shopping carts nice and tidy. Only to have them thrown around again. Guess they don´t like tidiness on that ship...

I like when Cho cuts off the water-beggar in mid-sentence, by turning off his app.
Cho went into some weird underground place not long after visiting Rivet City. Turns out, they wanted him to get into some sort of pod, and mentioned Anchorage. Well...Cho wasn't very interested in this thankfully. And I'm glad because I have heard that Operation: Anchorage is pretty tough.
So, as we will see, he stays in the Wasteland. Eventually winds up discovering Tenpenny Towers, which was pretty neat.

Anchorage is one of my all time favorite DLC, it is a ton of fun! And the Chinese Stealth Suit reward actually makes your character invisible when you crouch; (which can come in very handy at times).

After defending Goodsprings from Powder Gangers, Sand decided to spend the night watching over Goodsprings in case bandits came for revenge. Of course this doesn't happen in the game but occasional bandits can spawn close to Goodsprings. Well as it happened, Sand checked the area south of Goodsprings which seemed safe and as he was walking back to town, I was slowly turning the camera around as I often do when walking and I spotted a Powder Ganger walking behind him, a gun in his hands. Sand turned around, switched his varmint rifle for a 10 mm pistol and killed the Powder Ganger. All in all, it was very appropriate that the bandit appeared when and where he did, because it really seemed like Powder Gangers came for revenge or wanted to check why their buddies never returned.

I have noticed even in the vanilla game sometimes some random enemies can show up, even if we've already cleared that cell. OTOH, there are also plenty of times when there's just NOBODY or nothing around, which is soooo spooky sometimes.

Although Ade stayed in Goodsprings for only two days, everyone was on edge with him around. Even Doc Mitchell, who saved Ade's life and cared for him until recuperation, couldn't wait to close the door behind him. Not even the fact that Ade saved Goodsprings from Powder Gangers, didn't make its residents feel relaxed and after the creepy one-eyed wanderer left the town one night, they felt relieved.
"There's something sinister in his eyes...well in his one eye," said Trudy, the proprietor of the only saloon in Goodsprings. "I even gave him a discount but he didn't care. I'm glad he's gone."
"I felt uneasy too when I was practicing shooting with him," agreed Sunny Smiles, the town's protector. "But fortunately he was too cocky to continue the shooting practice, saying that I can't possibly teach him anything he doesn't already know. Suit yourself, I said."
"Paranoid. All of you," wisely remarked Easy Pete, the scavenger, though deep inside he didn't like the stranger either. He had a feeling like Ade could read his mind with his snaky eye.
"He stayed true to his word, we have to admit that," said Ringo, the merchant that was wanted by Powder Gangers. "He helped us defend the town and if it weren't for him, Powder Gangers might get us by surprise. Still...I won't miss him."
As residents of Goodsprings were debating about him, Ade was walking down the I-15, heading to Primm, to find out more about the package which was stolen from him and to get possibly more information about men that shot him in his head. Blood will be spilled. Nobody shoots Ade in the head and lives to tell about it.

Trey is beginning to see a lot more giant radscorpions and stronger super mutants, so he decided to supplement the Chinese AK that is his favorite weapon. A search through the weapons stash at the Megaton house revealed a missile launcher... so... why not?
Somewhere around Dickerson Tabernacle, Trey got his chance... a radscorpion.
The missile whooshed out... flew past the irradiated arthropod... and blew up a bus. Which then caused a chain reaction explosion of the 20 or so other abandoned vehicles' fission chambers.
The scorpion did not survive... and Trey decided a mini-nuke would have been less trouble.

I have been caught by those exploding cars at Dickerson's - like an idiot hid behind them to avoid getting shot,

What kills me about the mini-nukes is that everyone (even in the middle of the blast range) seems to survive the direct hit in the center of their camp. I have blasted an Enclave camp; a super mutant camp, and a Raider camp - all three I ended up having to switch guns and face an onslaught of angry enemies.
And that row of cars going into The Pitt - I have blown that whole bridge up and still been attacked by the vicious dogs coming through afterward, lol.

Here comes my new character - Joseph "Joe" Burg, his name in the game is just Joe Burg. He'll be (probably) be my long-running character in the Mojave. Instead of writing SPECIAL, skills and traits down, here's an introductory poem.
He's as strong as a pre-war bear, (STR 9)
but of his surroundings not really aware. (PER 3)
He's very, very tough, (END 8)
but his tongue is sometimes too rough. (CHR 3)
His name is Joe and he's a little slow, (INT 3)
but he can quickly deal a heavy blow. (AGI 8)
He's quite a lucky guy, (LCK 6)
not even a bullet in his head could make him die.
He has a heart of gold, (Good Natured)
and fists of steel, (Heavy Handed)
though he doesn't like to kill,
he'll make his attackers squeal.
Whether he wields a chair or his hands are bare, (Melee & Unarmed)
raiders will be flying in the air.
He's not a doctor, far from it,
but he used to work for one,
setting broken bones alright,
sometimes squeezing them too tight. (Medicine)
But Joe wanted to see the world,
to experience what he heard.
So a courier he became,
it turned out to be a dangerous game.
The happy wanderer without a home,
to many places did he roam.
If you’re in trouble and meet Joe on a road,
he’ll gladly help you if you’re not a fraud.

Most excellent poem, Lopov!
Trey found (and lost- permanently this time) his father. So he is now roaming the Wastes, giving every Enclave fascist he sees a bullet (or 50).
He has also explored most of the Roosevelt Academy- which was full of "bad things" as well as causing him to wonder what might have been- a school that could hold that many children?
So his Megaton house reflects the time before the bombs fell- a time he knows only from the scraps he has been able to recover from the rubble.
He did encounter an odd pair of families in a town called Andale... something about the place creeped him out, so he left.
Despite his ambivalence about Vault 101, he can't seem to stop himself collecting the Vault Boy action figures... he now has 11 of them.

Trey finally went to Lamplight, from whence he was sent to Paradise Falls to deal with a slaver issue.
After several negotiations, he was able to free the three kids, along with Rory. It turns out the Rory is not all that good at sneaking, but with Trey acting as the designated "bullet sponge," Rory was good enough at running- so orange whips all around.
And Trey was not exactly sorry to blast a great many of the slavers- because- well... they were slavers.
After operator error caused a reset (I did not IMMEDIATELY ask Mayor McReady about leading me to Vault 87 and he disappeared), which meant having to redo the whole rescue, Trey fought his way through Murder Pass and into yet another Vault.
He learned a great deal while there, mostly that humanity wears many faces- and that inhumanity can look "normal"- which is the most frightening lesson of all.
After giving Colonel Autumn the only answer he deserved in regards to the Project Purity code, Trey is on his way to meet the mellifluous "President Eden".

Thanks for pointing out that mod, Rosa. But if I am to use it I have to back up at least 50 hours and 200.000 caps and there´s just no way I`d do that

Not that bunker, that one is next to Calvert Mansion. (I love that bunker too). But the main questline has a bunker that can only be found after the mansion is gone; and it leads you down to under the lighthouse.

Raven Rock is my absolute favorite "dungeon crawl" in FO3!!!! (every time you spoke about Raven Rock in your story I used to think of this Raven Rock and would start a new game just to relive it, lol). What a great place to battle through!

Rory? Was there a hot red-head and a goofy guy wearing a bowtie and fez?

I loved that chinese agent quest. That was one of the most fun things in Point Lookout.

I loved that spy quest too, it was fun and imaginative! I kind of wasn't sure if by blowing up the spy sub if I wasn't being a traitor to my country, but did it anyway because I love to see things blow sky high, lol.
What a great shot you got of that Deathclaw coming out of the cage! I really wish they had placed that in an earlier level where the Sentry Bots weren't already fighting for you! Level 2 would have been a perfect place for that!

I have got a NV question.
Next time I make up a new character which followers do you folks recommend I use?
I have only played less than half the game and I think I have only used Veronica, EDE and Rex.
Are the others really good to use as well??

Veronica is my favorite early on in the game; I get Pushy as early as possible and give it to her. I've seen her take down a Deathclaw with one hit using Pushy! It is pretty awesome to see her do it, let me tell you!!!
I love EDE, but only later in the game when I can handle all the unwanted attention he draws while I'm trying to sneak!
