Misa did the same thing, but once she had unloaded her burdens and sold some armor and weapons to Moira, she headed on down to Robco in her capacity as research agent for Moira's guide book. It seems a researcher's work is never done,

This might be me, too. I think my Fallout 3 season is over for 2015, although I might do a little more gaming with Cho.
Last I saw, I was sort of "stuck" with him. He's in that "Pleasantville" sort of place (I forget what it's called), with Betty and all the '50s-looking people. Betty sucks. We decided we both hate Betty.... and I can't figure out the mystery of what to do next. This one lady says "go search the Abandoned House" and so we did. Every square inch. Blondie is in Deep Creek Mountains, Utah, working as a bounty hunter for Randall & Associates, just like in old times. She got acquainted with residents of the only town - Frosthill - and is making a promising career eliminating outlaws of all kinds.
So far no signs of Marko - he brought her to Utah with the help of Virgil, his right-hand man, but Virgil parted ways with Blondie when they arrived to Deep Creek Mountains, saying that she'll meet Marko at some point.
--
There is obviously something shady going on in Utah, it seems like Marko wants more than just revenge on Blondie, because it's hinted that he has some plans regarding Frosthill. So far I'm really loving the last mod of New Vegas Bounties, it takes place in a new, mod-added worldspace, entirey covered in snow. Most locations are quest-related but there are some that you can explore and don't involve any quests, just like in Beth DLCs. Regarding difficulty, it's somewhat similar to Lonesome Road, even the mod author suggested it for Couriers above Lvl 35.

Pipboy App ON, Date: 11.10.77, 16:54I made it. I am in GNR, which stands for Galaxy News Radio. This is the place which that asshole Moriarty made me pay a bunch of caps to find, and hopefully it'll be worth it. My father is supposed to be here. And it's a good thing, because it's pretty safe. He would know best. Break.
Going to meet some guy whose name is three dog. Well, that's probably not his real name. He should be somewhere in this building. The next voice you hear, Pipboy App, will be Three Dog. He's right at the top of these stairs.
Three Dog: The look on your face says it all. You're wondering who the heck this guy is, and why you should care?Um.. I know who you are. Who the [censored] doesn't? We all hear your voice out there, get over yourself. By the way, nobody "farted" in Vault 101, what went down in there was a lot more insane than some [censored] bodily function. I heard what you said about me and my exploits in Arefu as well. Bottom line is it's not as easy to come to some sort of peaceful solution as you might like. You know, it's easy for you to sit here and chat your "news" without knowing the actual facts. Anyways, I'm not here to rant. So go on. Three Dog: Well, prepare to be enlightened. I am ...... Three Dog. Like I said, I know this, already. Three Dog: .... lord and master over the finest radio station in the wastes: Galaxy News Radio. And you? Well, I know who you are. Heard about you leaving that vault, travelling the unknown, just like dear old dad, huh? Met him already. Yes. Just like dear old dad. Now to cut right through the bull-[censored], my friend. I'd like to know where my father went. Love the music you play by the way, but you ain't all that. Now where's my father? No offense, but that's why I'm here. Three Dog: Hey hey, one thing at a time! Your old man ain't here. I knew it. Waste of time. [censored] Moriarty. Three Dog: Not any more. He heard Three Dog on the radio, figured out I knew what was what out here in the Capitol Wasteland, and he was right. So I filled the old man in, but he split. Looks like I've got my way of contributing to the good fight, and he's got his own. I see. Well maybe I shouldn't place all the blame on that douchebag Moriarty. Maybe some of it is mine. My dad is weeks ahead of me, after all. Maybe I didn't do all I could to keep up with him, but look at the technology I'm working with okay? And all the douchebags I have to deal with out there. Hey, I'm doing all I can. [censored] it. Three Dog: Hey, not everyone's cut out for bigger and better things, sometimes the smallest roles in the good fight are most important. But enough of that. If it's your dad you seek, then I will abide. Well yeah, let's hear it. Three Dog: The fact that the Brotherhood let you get up here tells me that you're alright with them. That, and your dad seemed a decent enough guy. Besides, you're giving off a pretty sweet vibe right now. I am? But I'm wearing metal armor. Three Dog: Maybe we can help each other out. But enough unidentified word, let's get talking. Fine. It seems like you want me to do something, in exchange for finding my dad. That's only fair I suppose. Three Dog: I have the name, and the town, but what I don't have, are people who are willing to run out and do the stuff I need. SURE, the Brotherhood watches over the place, and guards it, but that's all they can spare. Galaxy News needs a doer, someone who can go out there, into that wild unidentified word world, and get [censored] done. So, you game?Hell yeah I am. And so is my stinky metal armor. Three Dog: You want to find your dad, and it just so happens his location is known to yours truly. He was here, at Galaxy News. We had a great conversation, he's a real stand-up guy. If you want to know more, you're gonna have to contribute to the good fight. Sure, tell me about this "good fight". Seems that's what you're digging at, right? ... --Pipboy monitored Persuasion attempt failed--Three Dog: I like what you're saying, but this is bigger than just you and your dad. If you want help from Galaxy News, you'll have to contribute to Galaxy News, that's all there is to it. Come at me, brother. Three Dog: Good. 'cause this isn't going to be easy. GNR is my baby, I love it, I feed it...Whatever... get to the point. Three Dog: ... you see, some brainless supermutant thought it would be funny to shoot up at the shiny round thing on the Washington Monument. And you want me to take care of this baddie? Three Dog: Yup, that shiny thing was our broadcast unidentified word[/u]. Now it's [i]unidentifed word cheese. Without our broadcast unidentified word, our broadcast range is quite limited. Dude, I'm up for the task. I might want a bit of help of course. You know, ammo, supplies, that sort of thing, but count me in. Three Dog: It IS risky. I would never lie to you. But there's something behind those eyes of yours which scream ---

I am to find some sort of dish, which is supposed to be on some sort of unidentified word spelled L U N A R landing pod, or something. It's supposed to be in the Museum of Technology, located in old D.C. Once I find this dish, I am to go to the Monument, where I will put the dish somewhere on it, so this egotistical idiot can have a broader range for his voice. And hey, I'm all for it. @Grits - furnishing as you like sounds interesting, I liked the part about the airplane seat, even if it doesn't offer a majestic view when seated on, it's nice to have one at home. I imagine that living in her old home would be too difficult indeed.
@Renee - a good reference to "farting" in the Vault, I totally forgot about this. I actually like entire Cho's opening dialogue, he has good points. Lol @ the sweet vibe and metal armor. I must say that the NPC who is our father in Fallout 3 is one of the most annoying NPCs I've ever had to travel with. I'm trying not to post spoilers here, but during the Main Quest we have to walk with him across a vast part of the Wasteland. And this would be fine, but the way he's programmed is horrible. First of all, he walks in front of our character, not behind him/her. I get why he's been programmed this way, it's because he's supposed to be leading us to where he wants to go.
Again, this would be fine, except the guy has absolutely no ability to gauge when danger is ahead. He will literally walk straight into a group of Talon mercenaries (and Cho would much rather avoid these guys most of the time), yao guais, robots, wolves, you name it. Cho is a very stealth-oriented guy, he does his best to avoid conflict most of the time.
Anyways, Cho wound up dying because of all this, he wound up getting killed by a yao guai which he couldn't sneak around, because he had to help his faRther RP-wise, so it's a good thing I'm not playing him DiD.

Daddy James is essential on that trip, if that helps you any. Cho can protect himself till he heals up some, then jump back in to fight.

Lopov: Okay, I didn't know there was an option not to travel with him. RP-wise, it makes more sense to travel with the guy. For one thing, this is what a son should do, right? For another thing, this is literally the first time Cho (or any of mine) have been accompanied by an NPC, so I was kind of psyched for this portion of the quest at first.
mALX: Oh, I know he's essential, he's gone unconscious at least a dozen times by now!

This would work if I knew what was in store beforehand; if I ever do this quest again I'll definitely clear some areas, 'cause dad don't know the Wasteland like Cho does. It just mystifies me that Beth didn't include a "Wait here" option, or an option to share items from son to father. Because Dad leaves the place with some sort of lazer pistol apparently, but this has already run out of ammo, which means every fight he has is now hand-to-hand.

This! Every time you approach him to offer armor or weapons, he runs. They give you no opportunity whatsoever to give him a weapon or ammo. He always runs out before the trip is over and ends up in hand to hand combat.
I wondered if I could get ahead of him and drop a weapon, but the faster I went = the faster he ran to stay in front of me. And dropping a weapon at his feet while he was in combat with a Raider - the Raider picked up the weapon and used it on Daddy James. Urk.
So yeah, as fun as that run with Daddy is, I would have appreciated Beth giving us the option of arming him better.

In Hecate's game I did use the console to give Daddy James a .44 Magnum and the Armored Vault Suit.
He was kicking Raider ass!

It's a simple command. Open the console, click on someone to select them, and type in:
OpenTeammateInventory 1
It gives you access to their inventory, and allows you to move things back and forth between yours and theirs.

Fired up Fallout New Vegas this evening, rolled up a new character.
I'd forgotten how limited the Fallout character creation is, especially compared to Oblivion or Dragon Age Origins, so no picture because I just couldn't get the face right.
So, his name's Einar, and he's a Tinkerer, a tech junkie; energy weapons, repair, and science. His only standout stat is intelligence at 8, the rest are at 6, save for perception at five and charisma at four. He's got four eyes and good natured, and picked up intensive training(agility) at level 2.
So far, he's not really gotten up to a whole lot. He's gone through the tutorial bit, and wandered into Goodsprings Cave, where he found a somewhat battered recharger rifle, which is handy. He's not managed much else at this point. He doesn't remember much about why he was shot or what he did before waking up in Doc Mitchell's place, and he doesn't much like Goodsprings; not enough tech around, apart from Victor or course.

I'd like some techie to take Victor apart,

I have tried many times, he can't be disabled until you get rid of his boss; then he disables himself right in front of "His" shack (which my character has taken over for her own use, lol).

I always felt really limited by the race choices of the Fallout games. You can play a human, a human, a human - or just for something different - a human! After going from the ES games where you have 10 races to choose from, the difference really is glaring.

Although they are still human; I would like to be able to be a Foresworn Tribal; which is one of the reasons Maxical and Misa were always seen in only the Foresworn armor after I got my first set of it. The set Misa is wearing is the first set Maxical ever got in game. When I changed her to Misa she kept it, and continued the roleplay of being connected to the tribe.

Aren't there other races via mods though? Actually, Fallout is the first game which I've gotten a choice for Asian or Hispanic characters, and as you may remember, I was desperately trying to create an Asian-looking female in Oblivion a few years ago, without success. So I like this aspect of Fallout.

Urgh. Einar's save got corrupted somehow, so I had to go right back. Decided to change him up though, he's still a tech junkie, but now he's a mercenary. Same skillset, firmly maintains that superior tech gives an edge.
I actually restarted to give him a new face. Funnily enough, randomising the face allows for a lot of variation that the player doesn't have access to, and seems to be independent of the actual face sliders.

Log commencing...
...
Testing, testing... Good, it's recording.
Location, a town named Goodsprings. Date... I'm not too certain right now. Hang on, apparently it's 10.19.81. This Pipboy gets more useful by the moment.
If you're reading this, it's because I'm dead. If you're the one who killed me, you'd better make damn sure I'm dead. I've crawled out of one grave already. If not, you're in for an interesting story, or so I'd hope, at any rate.
First thing first: Memo to self; getting shot in the head is a bitch. Do NOT let it happen again.
I can't remember who paid me to deliver that platinum chip, if I even knew in the first place. I only know about it because of the note that I had on me. Seems it's the only thing I was left with, save for a couple of bullets. I thought courier work would make for a nice change of pace, a break from prospecting or defending caravans, comparatively safe by comparison. That idea ended with me being ambushed, shot twice in the head, and left for dead. And whatever bastards did it took all my gear too. Some robot that set himself up in town years back dug me out of the grave they'd left me in, hauled me over to Doc Mitchell.
He's a good man, and obviously a damn good doctor, otherwise I wouldn't be able to make this log. Patched me up, must've rebuilt my skull in the process, since I can't find any soft spots. Even managed to avoid shaving my hair off too, which is nice. A couple of the others in town helped me get back on my feet, Sunny Smiles even gave me some pointers on survival and the like. I'd been reliant on my gear, and that's long gone by now. Sunny's a curious girl, doesn't really live up to her name, but she looks good in leather, so that's okay.
I've managed to get a couple of guns at least, Doc Mitchell gave a laser pistol and some ammo, along with this Pipboy. And when I was checking out a nearby cave I found a dead ghoul carrying a recharger rifle. It doesn't hit much harder than the pistol, but it makes its own ammo, so it's cheaper to use right now. Seems like I got back on my feet just in time.
It turns out they're having some trouble coming their way. They sheltered a trader whose caravan got hit, and some people took exception to that. A bunch of convicts, managed to overwhelm their guards and have set themselves up as some kind of gang. They're leaning on the people here pretty hard, trying to frighten them into handing the trader over. Chances are they'll go for the town either way.
I owe these people. A debt's gotta be repaid. This seems as good a time as any.

I always felt really limited by the race choices of the Fallout games. You can play a human, a human, a human - or just for something different - a human! After going from the ES games where you have 10 races to choose from, the difference really is glaring.
Aren't there other races via mods though? Actually, Fallout is the first game which I've gotten a choice for Asian or Hispanic characters, and as you may remember, I was desperately trying to create an Asian-looking female in Oblivion a few years ago, without success. So I like this aspect of Fallout.
The thing is, the Asian, Latin, African, Caucasian are all the same. There are some slight differences in the base facial morph, and some differences in the color textures. But aside from appearance, there is absolutely no difference between playing an Asian from playing a Latina. OTOH, in the ES games there is a difference between playing a Breton and a Nord - Magic Resistance vs Cold Resistance. In Oblivion the Breton was the Min/Maxer's race of choice because the 50% Magic Resistance + the Mundane Ring made you immune from magic.

And I'm on the verge of checking the Fallout Wiki to find out if there's a character in New Vegas called Ragnar.

Ragnar! or is it
Ragnar?

Nice, a Callidus Thorn update! The text is too light for me to see against Chorrol's beige background; I had to copy/paste it to Notepad so I could read it. It's fun to read though, as always.

Oh okay. That's what I like though, that there are differences in appearance, at least. I think that

Yeah, and really - Daddy James just didn't cut it as Black, Asian, or even Hispanic. His voice just didn't suit the changes in race, nor did they go all out changing his facial features to match the race he was supposed to be; which would have been nice.
Now, in FO4; I wish they had given a choice to use the same voice actor for the male Player as they used for Joe Cobb in NV. His voice was great; and personally - preferable, imho.

I would have liked to have gone with a lighter green on a black background, but unfortunately that's not an option. I'll try a darker shade of green and if that's still too light, I'll just drop the colour change.
Location: Goodsprings. Date: 10.20.81
Goodsprings might be a friendly town, but when it comes down to it, there's steel just below the surface.
I spoke to the trader, name of Ringo. Seems these convicts, calling themselves Powder Gangers, decided that everything in the vicinity's there turf, and took exception to his caravan passing through. They opened fire without warning, so he told it, and I'm inclined to believe him. I doubt many'd hold it against a person for refusing to pay escaped convicts for safe passage. Since I owe Goodsprings, and it was gonna come down on them one way or another, I offered to help out. Ringo asked me to ask the others in town, try and drum up their support. e suggested I start with Sunny Smiles.
Sunny is my kinda woman. Smart enough to know the fight'd come their way sooner or later, and brave enough to pick sooner. It's almost a good thing that she's not into guys, or I'd be sorely tempted to stay, especially f I could get in on the rest of that action. With Sunny on board, it was easy to talk Trudy into it, and she could handle most of the rest. I got Doc Mitchell to donate supplies, and talked the local storeowner, Chet, to divvy up some leather armour he'd gotten in stock recently. Managed to get one of the better sets for myself of course.
The Powder Gangers turned up around sunset; six of them with a motley assortment of weapon, two of them didn't even have guns, and only their leader was armoured. The people of Goodsprings, with my assistance, took them down without any real casualties. A couple of people had some holes that the Doc needed to patch, but if he can put a man back on his feet with two bullets in his head, they weren't in any danger of dying.
The good people of Goodsprings didn't even mind me gathering up the guns the Powder Gangers carried after the fight, Chet even gave me a good price for them, and let me keep the armour. He also managed to dig out a plasma pistol he'd picked up from somewhere or other. It's not in the best shape, but it's serviceable, and it was cheap. Ringo gave me some caps as payment for my help, and promised me even more if I swing by the Crimson Caravan Company building, wherever that is.
Victor, the robot that dug me outta the grave, didn't show up for the fight, even though he'd said he would. I got him to let me take a look at him, and it turned out someone had sent an override signal to shut him down. I don't know who wanted to keep him out of the fight, but I'm wondering if that same person was responsible for Victor finding me that night. Anything else just seems a little too convenient, particularly for a man who's been shot twice in the head recently. It's not like I'm on a winning streak right now, though I suppose things can only get better from the grave.
Tomorrow I'll be heading out. Next stop's a nearby town by the name of Primm. I'm hoping someone there might be able to tell me something more about the people I'm looking for.

Well, for someone with sight issues the black background with light lettering is always a strain on the eyes, but this green on beige is just un-seeable.
On beige, red or black lettering can be seen best; at least for me. Or a dark blue. The green gets washed out unless you use quotes around it so it is against a white background.
But since I can't read big areas of print anyway, don't change it on my account.

I cannot read the green either. It is fine for a sentence or two, but in a big block of text the letters all blur together for me.

As Einar will soon find out in Primm, it's not Powder Gangers but Powder Gangsters.

The best of luck to your new character, hope he makes it through the low levels which are the most difficult to survive in the Mojave.

With Blondie reunited with Guts I'll say goodbye to New Vegas for some time. Though I won't actively game, I decided to create a home for Blondie, something more appropriate than her motel room in Novac. I've been using an existing mod which adds an ownable house in Novac but I'll completely redecorate and refurnish that house. So far, so good - I already removed most of the mod-added stuff and furnished a few places but as I'm getting more experienced with GECK, I'll probably change some of the already created interiors.
And though we're supposed to get snow in Slovenia tomorrow, I still don't feel "the call of Skyrim", so I'll return to the Capital Wasteland and continue Deeno's story. In case you forgot, Deeno is an evil selfish never-do-well, the merc responsible for the destruction of Megaton and many other misdeeds across the Capital Wasteland. A bounty has been placed on his head by the Regulators, hopefully it doesn't get to Blondie.

WANTED
DEENO

MASS MURDER
$5000 DEAD CONSIDERED VERY ARMED AND VERY, VERY DANGEROUS. SHOULD ONLY BE PURSUED BY TRAINED PROFESSIONALS OR THOSE THAT HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE.
About: not much about this Villain of the Wastes is known. Deeno is probably not his real name but that's the last thing you should worry about. He called attention to himself after the destruction of Megaton. His whereabouts are not known, most of the time he's roaming the Wastes. Carries a special sniper rifle and two guns, one of them is a .44 Scoped Magnum. Prefers to kill from the distance. Already killed several skilled Regulators. Shouldn't be talked to, should be shot ASAS (as soon as spotted)! Submit the proof of Deeno's death, preferably his head, to Sonora Cruz at the Regulators HQ.

Well, since green doesn't seem to work to well, I'll just stick to plain old black.
The thought occurred that since the Pipboy lacks a keyboard, Einar's log must have been recorded, allowing for some shenanigans.
<12.3 seconds of sounds approximating a coughing fit, followed by one approximating that of an adult spitting>
<expletive deleted>, that doesn't look good.
Going to Primm was a mistake. The place had been overrun by the Powder Gangers. The survivors were holed up in a casino, waiting for someone to save them. Personally, Id think people in a casino would be more inclined to take chances, but apparently not in Primm. The NCR had a camp set up just across the road from Primm, and were content to sit and watch. The guy in charge, some Lieutenant, says they don't have the supplies to do anything.
He's a coward.
But, there was no choice but to play the hand I was dealt. The Powder Gangers had captured the one guy who had the information I needed, so I had to go and kill them. The odds were against me, but if you're going to have a shootout in a casino, you might as well bet everything and just keep letting it ride. I've been shot, stabbed, slashed, and even burned to the point where it's only stimpaks that are letting me record this. I don't even know how many there were, it got kind of blurry after the fifth guy and the eighth wound.
Anyway, they're dead, I'm just about not, so while I didn't hit the jackpot, at least I came out ahead. At least their guns were worth something, and the ammo'll sell for a good price too, sooner or later. As it turned out, I'd been in Primm not too long ago. The Mojave Express has an office there, and that's where I signed on for the delivery job. I found out some more information about it.
It was Victor, as far as I can tell. Or at least, it was Victor that placed the order. Since I know someone else is running his circuits, he's hardly to blame. There were six of us, each transporting some odd little knick-knack. Whoever hired us for the delivery was playing find the lady, and it looks like I was the one hiding the queen. Makes me want to know just what exactly I was carrying, and why people wanted it so badly. MAybe I'll find out sooner or later.
But for now, I'm just gonna dose myself up on stimpaks and sleep until I stop bleeding one way or another.
Signing off.

Einar has the same voice recording app that Cho has!
Einar is playing the hand he was dealt. I like the choice of words there, and through the rest of it. It sounds like Einar is a rambling, gambling man.
