I agree with ghastley about the OCR changing the generic city walls to something more in sync with each city's character. If OCR was modular like BC is, I would go back to it in a heartbeat.

One thing I didn't like about BC was the quests, especially the Gold Horse Courier and the Rangers Guild. The GHC quest was kind of meh. The Rangers Guild was irritating in that it felt unfinished (and probably was). I did like the banking enough to find the stand along Bank of Cyrodiil? and install that into my game. Now my PC doesn't have to carry around so much gold! And it earns better interest than my own savings IRL! blink.gif

We find the SI to be the most dangerous part of Buffy's range. Followed by the deserts of Elsweyr. So. . . when we're testing new trappings/helpers and such, it makes for a demanding survival exercise. Plus, she loves the rain forest/jungle feel of Dementia - the same way she likes Blackwood.

Theres a mod for Elswyr? biggrin.gif
Acadian
Yes, Iliana made a fabulous Elsweyr mod several years ago. Unfortunately, she took it down from TSNexus and no longer supports it. I did find it (and downloaded/installed it) a year or two ago on another site, but just checked and it is no longer there either. I did a quick search by the name of the mod and it seems like there may be a site or two that hosts it - but I can't verify that.

The name of the mod is Elsweyr, the Deserts of Anequina.

Reminds me of Hircine's quest. I just read today in a book in Elder Scrolls Online that the unicorn is not even native to Nirn. In fact, it is native to Hircine's Hunting Grounds as the Grummite is to the Shivering Isles.

Mind. Blown.

So yeah, I'll be hunting that unicorn!

Lissa is definitely growing up! She has grown partial to wearing some of the Goddess stores more racy outfits, particularly the Matrix suit. She tells me it makes her look more 'hard-as-nail' for when she goes on GOC missions... but i'm not convinced.

I hope for the sake of her reputation she gets over this phase soon! Haha

Well, since it´s in Cyrodiil Oblivion is it was a pretty easy guess anyway tongue.gif

Buffy spent the night in Cropsford. The nice farmers there let her use a spare bed whenever she visits. The next morning, she headed south to do some marauder huntin' in Fort Cedrian.
mirocu
Cropsford is a nice place and the people there are friendly. I´m glad Buffy also enjoys that place smile.gif
Acadian
Cyrodiil covers much of the game, but don't forget about the wonderful playground called Shivering Isles. Not to mention adding other provinces via mods. wink.gif

Oh, SubRosa, I'm so glad to see you back in OB and enjoying Unique Landscapes. smile.gif

Well, after Fort Cedrian (and some water play in the river), Buffy headed south a bit on the Yellow Road until taking the unmarked road east toward Fort Entius and Malada. It’s a beautiful woodsy trail, with plenty of water to play in and dungeons to clear along the way. Water is a big deal for her; not only does she love to play in it, but her horse needs lots more of it than Buffy can carry. Therefore, knowing every water source is a critical part of her navigation when traveling.
SubRosa
Devana is down in the same neighborhood as Buffy. Last night she paid a visit to Cadlew Chapel and evicted its unsavory residents. Afterward she fixed the place up to live in, and spent some time exploring the road south, clearing out Nenalata (as much as you can without doing the Collector quest), and Morahame.

She is thinking about investigating that mysterious door in the middle of Niben Bay as well. But she has not decided if she really wants to yet or not. She might just keep going south to Blackwood.

Bogwater

biggrin.gif

That's the short version. Now the long version.

Lady Saga is in Leyawiin. She's joining the Mage's Guild and is doing their tasks, but only wants access to the Arcane University. She's got no ambitions beyond this. Anyways, I forgot how fun it is to clear a dungeon in Oblivion; it's been so long.

She's cleared three Leyawiin lairs so far: a cave and Ayleid ruin called Telepe I think. Both of these are just north of Leyawiin. She also plundered Fort Blueblood, which is quest-related MG stuff. Before clearing these three locations, she'd only been through Vilverin and a couple of imp caves. When she first got to Cyrodiil 2 or 3 weeks ago, she wasn't doing so good with dungeoneering, so it's nice to see her getting back in top form.

After Fort Blueblood she slept for about 10 hours, then walked south the next morning towards Topal Bay. Once there, she found an island which she seemed to recognize. Turned to her right, and there it was. The lighted campfire of Bogwater, way up on the hillside. smile.gif With its hollowed-out rock to store things in, a tent, and a bedroll. Her true home.

Last night Devana made her way down the Niben, stopping to enjoy the hospitality of the vampires of Fort Redman along the way. Now she is in Leyawiin, getting soaked in the rain (which she likes, since she was born under the sign of the Undine).
TrisRed
Yesterday Lissa took a close friend of hers to spend the weekend with her in Anvil. On their first day they enjoyed Lunch and the Count's arms and spend some time in the mages guild. That evening Lissa's friend decided for an early night, so Lissa took the opportunity to have some time with her sister, Maelona. They took a slow walk along the gold coast and enjoyed the sunset... Lissa even decided to do some cliff diving!
Acadian
SubRosa, Buffy clears the vamps from Fort Redman every time she passes by. She then normally camps on the little island in the river there, feasting on mud crab. Her spriggan outfit is just the ticket for the warm rains of the southern Niben. How neat to embrace the rain via Devana's undine though!

Rihanae, I'll bet Lissa really enjoyed visiting family in Anvil. Such a beautiful city on the Gold Coast.

Edit: Oh, almost forgot. Buffy's working her way south as well. After clearing the vampires from Fort Redwater, she just entered Kindred Cave to hunt necrodudes. smile.gif
mirocu
Everyone are so far south.. tongue.gif

Except for my Dunmer of course. After raiding Rielle again he came home with a flaming passion to make potions. Sadly, the right ingredients can be hard to find in and around Bruma and especially now when he´s come up with two new recipes. But he´ll have to make due with what he can find smile.gif
Acadian
Lol. You can only make so many potions from northern ingredients like ogre's teeth and wormwood I guess. biggrin.gif

Buffy actually turned around at the Mouth of the Panther. She crossed the Niben, cleared goblins from Fort Irony and headed north up the Green Road to Bravil. What kind of ingredients does Lothie need?

Plenty of many, really tongue.gif

Strangely enough he´s run out of flax huh.gif This is strange since flax is in abundance in the Skingrad county and I know he´s picked lots and lots of it there. Then again, he has made many potions out of them too and since I "knew" he had a lot I haven´t bothered picking up some more in awhile which now has caused him to run out of it dry.gif

Did Buffy have fun dancing with the goblins? laugh.gif

'Tis a sad day...

Do'Shakir had done enough training in Chorrol to go out and do some adventuring, or so he thought. Wandering through the great forest he came across Breakneck Cave and decided to head on in. He cleared much of the cave with ease, but I was messing around with the lighting in my room because I wanted the dungeons to be really dark. Alas it was too dark for even a khajiit and when he found himself cornered by 3 wolves without any potions left, he knew that was it. He managed to take down two of the wolves but the three was just too many.

I kept his first save because I may give him another go one day, but for now RIP Do'Shakir...
mirocu
Noo! He´s dead!?? sad.gif sad.gif

I feel especially bad since I think I was a factor when you chose the race of Khajiit for this playthrough. And to think it was wolves that did him off. The everlasting fight between cats and dogs...

Aye, I was very disappointed sad.gif

You were very helpful in creating Do'Shakir, and that was much appreciated. He'll return one day, but not for a while. I enjoyed playing him for the short time he was alive, and I can't help but feel like I missed out. I have a save of him outside the sewers so I can return to him one day..

Flax seed is one of those ingredients that you can have waaaay too many of after moving through certain regions. Saga's had so many flax seeds I've actually hotkeyed them, since wood elves aren't so hot with magicka and magic regeneration.

Then there are those times when flax seems as rare as bog beacons up north.

So did he die because you were messing with lighting in your room, or did he put up a fair fight, and die fairly?

See cuz if the answer is #1 I'd reload. If I'm having a technical issue (or the cat's messing with the fishbowl, or some other distraction is going on and my character dies during this time) it's one of the only times I'd reload. Sounds like he was putting up a fair fight though.

On the subject of darker dungeons, my room is already darkened, but I've got a large window on the north side that lets in a lot of light, even if curtains are drawn. This is probably why I only game while it's overcast outside. Or at night. If it's sunny I find something else to do, or I play Fallout 3, which for some reason doesn't bother me if it's sunny outside.

I also use a Darker Dungeons 'pretend mod', which is me pressing a certain button on my remote which darkens the TV screen itself. I find myself still doing this even on PC where I have access to the actual DD mod.

Oh yeah, that was Igodah Go^Pe, my first high elf. Even if I didn't utilize DiD in my games, I still would have had to walk away from her game. There was one door in the final tower which would not open. The A-bomb prevented this.
