The afternoon was warm when Julian took Blanco out for a ride. Her readers will remember that Julian found riding Blanco to be a very different experience from riding Paint. It is so different, in fact, that Clesa gave her a book by a Paladin called Xenophonus. So she is trying to figure out what she needs to change about her riding style.

Sounds like Julian's been busy. Attia, my first CoC (recently a skyrim) character closed nearly every gate she came across, but the other two CoC characters I had were never that dedicated

Do'Shakir spent some time in the IC before heading out for adventure. He's on a mission to gain as much experience as he can in the hope that one day he'll be ready to return to Elsweyr and complete his training in the art of the whispering fang.

He cleared out Fort Homestead and Horn Cave. He's spending the night out in the wilderness. An important part of his training is the art of survival...

Eldrar made his way from Chorrol to Bruma.

For the first time ever I found the northern road to Bruma to be patrolled by no less than four Leionnaires!

Eldrar has decided he rather likes Bruma. Not for the climate, not for the scenery, and not for the locals. What he likes about Bruma is Jeanne Frasoric. In his game she's smart, charming, powerful, and ambitious. And, I'm reliably informed, she's a veritable daedra between the sheets.

Rider, love the spectacles! And nice that Julian finally got Blanco.

Vital, sounds like busy times in Cyrodiil.

CT, despite her less than fully competent reputation in the guild, Buffy likes Jeanne too. Not sure about her sheets though. . . . Buffy's always found Volanaro to be attractive. Not as handsome as Lothran though.

Another beautiful day in Bruma. Lothran spent the morning visiting shops and inns and come afternoon it was time for brewing the last batch of potions this season. When evening fell, the Tap and Tack waited for him again with what seemed a larger crowd than usual as Honmund decided to stay longer than he usually does.

After convincing the bandits in Sercen to give up their quarters to Buffy and Superian for the night, the buckskin mage and her mare headed west on Red Ring Road. She's now hunting necrodudes in Fingerbowl Cave.

It is, isn´t it?


Would sure like to know how Buffy "convinced" those bandits to give her some space...

Once they stopped breathing, they didn't seem to complain.

Jerric, Darnand, Lildereth, and Abiene made it to Bruma. They dined at the Jerall View before they checked in at the Mages Guild for the night. Jerric is mildly out of sorts, but I expect he’ll get used to being back home again. He’s smacked his face on a few doors and accidentally cast frost once while trying to walk. No damage fortunately. (It was only his nose. )

I wonder if he’ll run into Lothran at the Tap and Tack later tonight. If he does, hopefully it will not be in Lothran’s capacity as a law enforcement officer!

Also I should mention that Jerric is not hitting on Jeanne in the picture. And he’s definitely not asking her if she’s more like a dremora or a flame atronach in the bedroom.

Upon seeing this I was reminded of something. I need to get Algot the Northener back into my game. He´s gone missing, you see

Went to sleep in the Bloated Float after a guard told him it was in a bad neighborhood, because bad neighborhood = cheap.

He probably should of listened because he's first day in Cyrodiil consisted of freeing the ship from a gang!

He was a hunter back in Morrowind, so he's going to Chorrol.

He heard it's a good place to hunt.

Today Lothran left Bruma, his beloved winter home. It´s never without some regret, but he loves the other parts of the land as well and he knows he´ll return again once the chilly winds starts to push away the warmth.

He took the road to the west and at the first fork in the road he chose the south path which took him to Sancre Tor. From there he went straight south until he was greeted by the Orange Road which he followed all the way to Chorrol. He spent the first night at the Fighters Guild and the following morning he recharged his weapons at the Mages Guild and right now he admires the town from a bench under the Great Oak.

Back in Bruma the day shift has begun patrolling the town and whilst making sure the town is safe, they also make sure Lothran´s house will remain undisturbed.

Welcome back to Cyrodiil to Jerric and Co. Bruma sounds like a superb ‘warm up’ *groan* after Skyrim. While I believe you regarding the subject of his convo with Jeanne, we all know he is thinking it. After all, we know that Jerric speculates on the bed habits of everything in a skirt!

And a warm welcome to Jovak. I expect he’ll find Chorrol not only beautiful, but a bountiful place for hunters as well. If Honditar tells you that you need poison to kill a deer. . . well, that just tells you why Altmer should probably stick to fireballs instead of bows.

Woot! Spring is officially here since Lothie has left Fortress Bruma! How wonderful to know the white-haired Dark Elf is among the green again.


Coincidentally, Buffy just left the Great Oaken City and stands at the door to Broken Promises Mine.

Don't feel badly. She was only in Chorrol long enough to buy some of her special arrows from Rasheda, and briefly visit her guild to sell some scrolls & gems, pick up a few grand empties for filling, make a few poisons and get a hot bath. Buffy'll certainly be saddened to realize she just missed Lothie.

Thanks for the ‘warm’ welcome home! Good hunting to Jovak. Jerric is presently wearing a cuirass he picked up after an adventure on that boat.


Another glorious day in the Heartlands. Jerric noticed that his lucky leather boots (enchanted by his Ma with a Speed charm, not Luck) were barely holding together. So they stopped in the village of Urasek to see if someone could repair them. Someone could, and as usual Jerric got involved with the local problems within the first ten minutes of their arrival.

He got a room at the Smiling Daedra, and now he’s carefully considering how to tell Abiene she has to wait there. He has not been able to use his blade with her getting in the way all of the time, and it’s making him edgy. Darnand will come along, of course. There’s rumor of a necromancer about. Jerric is on the fence about Lil. He’s pulled one too many of her arrows out of his backside already this morning. But if he makes her mad she might start putting them there on purpose.

Jerric hit it off well with Morcant. She seems to have unlimited patience and sweetrolls. Lesson of the day: Your summoned boar is not for eating.

So nice to see the gang in Cyrodiil. And glad Morcant has enough patience to teach the Nord. Hah! Plenty of sweetrolls, and don't eat your summoned boar - that sums up Jerric so perfectly!


After clearing the necrodudes from Elenglynn, Buffy visited the sisters at Gottlesfont. Darn pesky marauders at the nearby fort needed to be taken care of - again. She then proceeded due south until intercepting the road. She and Superian are now studying Buffy's doeskin map trying to sort out whether to go east or west on the Gold Road.

Jovak went for a little stroll outside the walls of the Imperial City's waterfront only to spot a fort.Jovak knows that forts can contain treasure!He took the risk and after facing many a bandit he got a nice new bow and some loot to sell.
On his way back to the city he stopped at Pell's Gate for a chat with the locals and to clean up in the river.He spotted some deer and a boar, he killed 2 deer and the boar.
He then made his way back to the city only the spot a pilgrim getting attacked by a Dremora!Luckily it was only a summoned one, he killed the conjurer and the pilgrim went off with minor injuries but then he spotted another conjourer.Jovak took care of him just in case.
One of the conjourers had a nice enchanted doublet of Marksmanship.

When Jovak finally got back the City and sold his loot he began talking to locals, he learned of a family rivalry, a new shop, and a corrupt Watchman!

Jovak investigate the corrupt Watchman and dealt with him, he is now in prison but an orc that testified against him has gone missing.Jovak is sure that he's fine though!

Jovak sure does get sidetracked easily, he'll stay the night, get rid of any remaining loot and then set off for Chorrol!

Good thing there’s no wrong direction on the Gold Road.

I know a Bosmer who would like a doublet of Marksmanship. Nice find!


Jerric, Lil, and Darnand got their butts handed to them by the goblins of Fort Urasek. The repair bill for Jerric’s gear was over three times the reward! He is now flat broke and nearly out of Jerric’s Juice (magicka potions) with no alchemy apparatus to be had. They might need to go into the Imperial City after all.

Local adventure still beckons, however. There is a mysterious tunnel to explore and a supposedly haunted house to break into. This time Abiene is coming along. Jerric heard Lil say ‘No, not like this’ during one of the goblin fights. (Companion Sound Sets.) He is not going to have her dying on him. Turns out he is willing to endanger Abiene to keep Lil safe.

Jerric’s summoned boar Hamish proved his worth many times over. He’s short enough for Jerric to stab over his back, he runs straight to the first target, and his angry squealing is easy for Jerric to follow in the dark. Jerric really needs to come up with a way to manage a shield and a torch. Too bad he can’t cast a Light spell on Hamish. Or cast a Light spell at all.

I found that the boar was one of the best low level summons precisely for what you said. It goes straight for the nearest enemy and is low to the ground. It is the perfect helper for an archer, because it is easy to shoot over its back. The lion OTOH, while being much more powerful, has a habit of jumping up and blocking your shots. While the grizzly is so darn big it completely blocks you off.

Tallei loves her Bear and Lion summons. She usually just hangs back and lets them do their work. She does take out spellcasters and spirits, though.

Julian, being a blade fighter, prefers to let her summons distract the enemies so she can sneak up behind them and finish them off with her blade.

Speaking of which, she has not left her shack since the other night. Too difficult, I suppose. This is the point where I worry the most about her addiction. Losing Martin was difficult, and with her blowup at her beloved Captain just before that, it's all too much for her emotionally. But soon she will venture out again and lend what aid she can to the locals in the Waterfront.

Today Lothran went nuts at the University! Many new spells were created and quite a few of them was made to replace old ones that had turned out to be not so good after having tested them in the field for some time. Needless to say, he scratched the old ones from his spellbook.
He also put a triple elemental enchantment on a Fine Steel Mace that he will be testing out on the road to Anvil

Eldrar spent the morning wandering through the Jeralls in search of Frostcrag Spire.

He actually rather likes the scenery up there, though he's not so fond of the cold.

Unfortunately the teleport pads aren't working yet, not the ones to the guildhalls, so he has to walk to Cheydinhal.

He doesn't really mind though, since it means another night with Jeanne

And 2 wolves on 2 different occasions tried to give me a heart-attack.

Grits, I think Fort Urasek is a real unique layout. It suits Buffy the sniper, but I imagine Jerric’s tactics could be challenged by the layout. Did curiosity bite Jerric like it has Buffy by sitting in the throne at the end? Adding Abiene to the fighting mix must be a challenge. Yay, fun with summoned furries! SubRosa’s Witchcraft is one of the best mods evah!

Rider, it’s understandable that Julian would need some time to quietly digest what has been an epic and fast-moving world for her. I’m sure as soon as she steps out of that cabin, she’ll start rescuing cats and puppies again.

Mirocu, great to have Lothie wandering the green parts of Cyrodiil again. What a nice ability to be able to delete spells in game – how did they ever leave that out of the vanilla game?

CT, when you started talking about Eldar trying to find Frostcrag, I wondered if he was going to use a shout to clear the weather. . . oh, wait. . . .

ImpSnob, I told you Chorrol was good huntin’ grounds. Hey, Jovak’s gotta eat too. He eats Bambie and wolves try to eat him – nature’s cycle.


So Buffy turned west on the Gold Road. After clearing several dungeons and reprovisioning at Skingrad, she found herself atop Kvatch plateau. The rebuilt city is beautiful, but this stop Buffy only visited the graveyard on the western edge of the plateau that overlooks Anvil. The dragontongue flowers she planted over Savlian’s grave have grown into a beautiful green and gold carpet around the whole graveyard. Anyway, she and Superian then slowly worked their way back down the mountain and turned into the westering sun.

Hope Buffy is ok

As for Lothran, he´s now on his way from Pell´s Gate to visit the brothers at Weatherleah. With him is Elemental Mace, his newly enchanted weapon. So far it looks promising as two bandits fell easily to it

Clark went to the Twilight Sepulchre (yes, this is Oblivion, it's in the mod I'm working on) to see how difficult the undead I'd placed were. I think I got it just right, as he died just before reaching the door to the boss's lair. If I'd bothered to have him drink a potion or two, he'd probably have made it.

He's at a fairly high level, so there were Nether Liches hiding around the corners, sending fresh skeleton minions every time he killed one. He did run out of soul gems to recharge his sword, which didn't help.

I just need to sort out the dialogue for the quest, and hook up some quest updates with the script, and the Evergloam mod should be ready for the Nexus. This final quest has the player become one of the second Nightingale Trinity, and I haven't yet decided if this is a TG rank after Gray Fox, or a faction of its own. Since Evergloam is basically a TG quest-line extension, either makes sense.

Indeed, when Jerric took the opportunity to rest his weary bones in the convenient throne after a grueling battle with the last goblin, he got a painful surprise. Luckily it was only his face.

When they ducked back into the fort today to pick up whatever stray weapons they could sell, they found that there were more goblins inside. These went down as easily as Jerric would have expected, unlike the first group. It took dozens of blows to kill each one of them. I suspect mod strangeness. Thankfully it seems that Jerric has not completely lost it the way he feared after yesterday’s war.

Adding Abiene to the mix has stressed Jerric to the breaking point. She would be safe at home already if he didn’t get involved in every crisis he passes. He finally got her to wear some protection, but it has been a struggle. At first she was a fashion disaster on the magnitude of Schlera Sestius in a cuirass and linen skirt. No gauntlets because they would interfere with her casting, and the boots and greaves were too heavy. Jerric got her to put on some leather trousers in case she had to crawl anywhere and also because she doesn’t mind showing off her backside. When he suggested shoes other than her dainty quilted ones (by taking those out of her inventory), she put on some pretty sandals that he forgot she even had instead of the sturdy doeskin ones he gave her. While Lil nearly choked to death giggling Jerric banged his head against a nearby tree and then gave up. Abiene wore her sandals into the mysterious tunnel.

Which turned out not the way they expected, but there’s another adventure in the making just the same.


Hugs to Buffy. The Kvatch plateau casts a giant shadow over Jerric every time he passes. I’m encouraged by recent news that he too may see a rebuilt city someday.

It cracks me up when they all sort of cluster together and smile over at Jerric, like they’re consulting about whatever nutty thing he just proposed or did.

Like here he decided to relax and watch the sunset just about within sight of an inn and certainly within smelling distance of the dead bandit he heaved over the hill right before he sat down. He took off his shirt as soon as they left Skingrad. I’m not sure he’ll ever put it on again. I think even the Nord finally had enough snow.

They’re stopping for the night. Jerric probably wants to roll in the grass and collect a few hundred more portions of flax seeds. As soon as he drinks whatever is in those bottles on the ground. Thank goodness the bandits weren’t roasting a rat.

They left Urasek without finishing their mission. Jerric will return with just Darnand and a lot more potions. It’s going to get ugly before they’re done.

Eldrar is now in Cheydinhal, after a long and pretty much unremarkable trip.

About the most interesting thing was the flurry of snow that followed him as far as Sercen.

I'm not sure yet what Eldrar thinks of Cheydinhal, it's the closest he's been to Morrowind since he left, and probably the most familiar. I'll just have to wait and see. He's got a few hours to kill anyway, Falcar's already decided he's done for the day, and it's only mid-afternoon.

Grits, does Lil suffer from the same duality as Buffy? The magic of grass for a mattress and stars for a blanket vs a feather bed with silken sheets? Buckskin or bling? Silk vs suede? Waterfalls vs hot baths? Diamonds or dirt? . . .

CT, Buffy and Superian have sometimes encountered snow coming south from the Azura's shrine area almost all the way to Cheydinhal. Rather eerie sometimes.

Indeed, Lil heard the sweet song of a soft bed calling her even as the grass beckoned. Between her tribal youth and Imperial young adulthood she feels comfortable under silk or stars. She also has a need for solitude that battles with her ache for company. That’s a duality she shares with Jerric. Neither of them are loners but they need time alone. I think that’s a big part of why they get along even though they make each other crazy. They can give each other companionship and silence at the same time.

The gang woke up to pouring rain. Abiene was the most disgruntled about sleeping on the ground again, but her rain bracelet put a smile back on her face.

The sun came out right before they reached that spot on the road where you can hear seagulls and first see the rooftops of Anvil with the water beyond. They paused to let the homecoming sink in.

Darnand felt the pull of his beautiful library. Abiene was drawn to the Chapel and its Healing Hall (which is still imaginary in the game). Flash was ready to stop walking. Ulfe (Rosie) hoped for new butts to sniff and more cats to wag her tail at even though they ignore her. Lil found that the only things she would miss were standing right beside her. Jerric threw out his arms and embraced it all.

I simply love the homecoming shot approaching Anvil! Oh my goodness, Darnand's libraray is (to use a trademarked mALX word) . . . Awesome! It is exactly the way I picture some of the rooms in the Mystic Archives would be. And that black and white paint is gorgeous (Yay for Slof).

Wow, I didn't fully realize how much Buffy and Lil have in common. Although born and raised in Cyrodiil, I have learned that Buffy was conceived in the highest treetops of southeastern V-wood. I believe not too far from where Lil was born. They both really do straddle two worlds. One notable difference it seems is Lil's need to be alone sometimes. Buffy loves being on the road free of most folk, but even 'alone' she's got Acadian in her head and Superian under her butt. Although she can't even take a pee in private, she's grown to not wish it any other way. And of course in town, she enjoys plenty of company among the many mer, round ears and tailed-folk that she calls friend.


Right now, Buffy crouches just inside the heavy stone entrance doors of Belda. A big Ayleid ruin full of conjurers. *contented sigh* It just doesn't get much better than that for an elf who gets cranky if she doesn't get to use her bow. After Belda, she'll no doubt visit her witch friend, Morcant. I'm sure she'll then play in the nearby waterfalls before clearing vampires from Barren Cave and proceeding on to Cheydinhal.

Morcant is a nice witch I do hope Buffy doesn´t do anything foolish amongst those vampies..


After some enjoyable hiking in the Great Forest, Lothran is now in Skingrad. It´s a very nice county and his town of choice, except for Bruma of course
He´s loading up on flax and other ingredients that are so rare up in the mountains. Gotta have something to do next winter..

Another little non-journal segment for Eldrar...

Interlude

Eldrar sits on the bank of the pond near Barren Cave. He is wearing nothing but his huntman's trousers, having removed his armour in order to tend to it. He breathes deeply, his eyes closed, savouring the clean, crisp air and the gentle warmth of the setting sun as it meets the horizon. His lips move as he silently offers thanks to Azura, in one of her sacred hours. Before him the pond shines like polished bronze as the pale amber sunlight catches it. As the ripples from the waterfalls that feed it catch the light it seems as if the surface of the pond is ablaze with golden fire. Eldrar can feel the fear and the tension rolling off him as he watches it, before closing his eyes once more to take in the sound of the waterfalls.

With a sigh he shakes it off, picking up his steel cuirass. He draws a repair hammer from his pack, and begins the long process of beating the dents out of his armour...

Lothran rests in Faregyl Inn at the moment. He´s on his way back to his Imperial City shack to offload, among other things, 150 samples of flax

Well, that oughta keep him busy next winter!

Jerric spent a day and a half in Anvil getting stuff done for his next trip. He did not go swimming, running on the beach, or into any taverns. Much to my surprise he was itchy to get back to Chorrol where he has unfinished business with the Mages Guild. So he mixed up a batch of Jerric’s Juice and left in the middle of the second day.

Darnand is with him. They took the road to Skingrad and then headed out out across the West Weald toward the Great Forest. He’s pretty much following the path he took with Martin. He goes on this walk every once in a while.

Of course he checked in with his local guild chapters while he was in Anvil. He likes to sell his rarest alchemy ingredients to Felen and then settle in for a talk about the adventures he had collecting them. Felen is a good audience. He will stand there mixing potions while Jerric talks all day.

At the Fighters Guild Jerric saw a guy who looked like his twin, so he went straight over to see which one of them could kick the other’s tail. It turned out to be Vigdis. Oops. Now he knows why she used to wear an iron “armor” mini-dress.

Vigdis is Jerric's twin! For a moment I was hoping it might be Lady Mara's character Skarsgard.

Sweet mother Mara, can you imagine Jerric and Skarsgard in the same game?! What a series of events would unfold, and none of them suitable for screenshots!

For a minute in Jerric's game I thought his NPC had gotten loose and wandered into the FG.

Loved meeting bambi on the road. Gosh Jerric's perspective of the Great Forest is so different - Buffy's used to seeing it from either way up in the saddle or down between the ferns and tall grass. Vigdis really does look like Jerric's sister!

It was a wood elf kind of day. Jerric thought of Teresa when he met the deer, Buffy when he walked into those ferns, and Lil when he got shot in the ass by a bandit.

An M rating isn´t enough!

They would make for a Bosmer superhero team. The X-Women, or maybe the B-Women. Or the Wood Elf Women - WEE for short.
