Brenna is currently in Leyawin, working on getting their recommendation. She only has Chorrol left to do after that. She has also killed a vampire masquerading as a vampire hunter in the Imperial City, broken the spell on the villagers of Aleswell, and explored a few ruins.

Yeah! Today she earned a recommendation from the Leyawin Mages Guild hall and was named Knight Errant of the Order of the White Stallion!

Brenna received the last recommendation she needed from Teekeeus at the Chorrol Mages Guild hall and just walked into the reception area at the Arcane University to speak with Raminus Polus about admission.

Frostcrag Spire! A Dunmer messenger busted up into Brenna’s Imperial City shack with an urgent delivery stating that she had inherited an honest to goodness wizards tower from a deceased member of the Mages Guild. It’s quite a grand structure!

Lothran is now on his way from Leyawiin to Cheydinhal, currently residing at The Drunken Dragon Inn.

Brenna really believed Jorundr’s story. Arnora *was* an absolute harpy. Brenna couldn’t help but feel like she was being watched though…

The blue amulet, featured in this quest, is appearance-wise my favorite amulet in the game.

And yes, Brenna had a delightful little chat with Mr. Lucien Lachance! She is as yet undecided about accepting his offer. She doesn’t think of herself as a cold blooded killer, but her skill set does align quite nicely with that sort of “work”.

Lothran always pays a visit to Morcant the Witch on his way to Cheydinhal, but since it's night she'd be asleep and not up for doing business. Therefore next session will see the Dunmer in the city of Cheydinhal

Also; Lothran is now at the Newlands Lodge.

Yesterday Lothran cleared out Fort Farragut. Perhaps not completely, but close enough. He also snatched himself ten (10) Poisoned Apples on his way out.

Today was spent visiting the castle and looking for Borba who seems to have gone missing again

What you mean? It always dark in cave.

Lure them outside of the cave. In the base game, if it's sunny outside, they'll take some damage just by being outside. This damage is very slow, but it is there. Not sure how mirocu does it, but I've got Maskar's Sun Damage option toggled on in my game. They'll last maybe a minute or two in full sunlight.

Some caveats: start the delve early, like just as the sun's coming up. ☀ Don't start a vampire attack at night, or just before the sun's going down; there won't be any advantage to luring them outside. Also, rainy/overcast days, sun damage slows down.

As is Lothran's normal procedure he runs in, casts an AoE spell to get their attention and then runs outside where he summons his Spriggan who summons her bear and when the vamps come outside the fun begins


Sidenote: Borba has been found! Lothran left Newland's Lodge and walked around town and when he came back to the inn, there she was!

I just kill them all in the cave and so have never thought to do that. How does this work? You just run in and agro them one at a time then run back out, or what?

You can kill vamps in their home, sure. Just takes longer. With one of the mods I've got (Vampire Hunting), this is not recommended, however. They are exponentially stronger if they're in darkness, as they should be. Joan of Arkay can deal with them since she's adept at ridding undead. 🧟 But she's still better off luring them outside. Less weapon/armor damage, for one thing.

Borba sometimes disappears in my game too, even on Xbox. I like Lothran's method of eradicating undead; he summons a Spriggan, who summons a bear! Lothran probably then gets the money shot just as the vamp is losing steam.

I've been too busy this month and it's been sunny everyday, haven't been playing Oblivion (or Morrowind) much. Looking forward to a slower pace in November.

Sometimes though mostly he just keeps summoning the Spriggan until all vamps are goners. He's gotten a bit lazy...

Roxey Inn, night/very early morning


On his way to the Imperial City, Lothran always stops by this inn to rest a bit. It's now once again time for winter preparations and the Big City is perfect for that. There may be a new enchantment in the works but probably no new spells as we have not seen the need for it this year either.

Kidding. Sun's Dusk 22, 4th Era Year 1, I have returned successfully to Joan of Arkay's game. According to my notes, she's supposed to be somewhere in the Imperial City...

She is in King & Queen Tavern, hasn't slept yet. Pretty sure all buying & selling is done. Head back to Battlehorn, which is mostly pimped by now!

But the most recent save I can find is from Atatar. And I think I know why. Didn't back up her saves for a while last summer, and then that hard drive crashed.

Anyway, she'll be headed north. She's got enough money now to totally pimp Battlehorrn Castle (except the Trophy Room, because yicch). 🏯

That's rough. Hope you didn't lose too much progress

As for Lothie he's roaming the Imperial City, as is his routine this time of year.

Nah, wasn't that bad. We're talking about the journey from Atatar (near Drunken Dragon Inn) to Imperial City. That's it. Could've been way worse had I not been in the constant habit of backing up saves.

Anyway, Joan's about to head to the Imperial City in a couple days, so she'll probably pass right by your platinum-haired elf. Right now she's in Pell's Gate (friend). About to take care of the outlaws across the road.

Joan made it to the I.C. She got some sleep in King & Queen Tavern and bought/sold/gotstuffrepaired the next day. She needed new boots and chestplate, prefers Heavy Armor, so she went to Varnrado of the Best Defense. Next she bought a couple potions at Gilded Carafe. Went to Jensine's and Three Brothers to sell a bunch of loot: rings, jewels, coins, trinkets, etc.

Last I saw she was headed to that elf in the Merchant's Inn, the guy who sells upgrades for Battlehorn Castle. She's bought everything from the guy (Library, Armory, etc.) except the Trophy Room. Anyway that's where she's headed next! Can't wait to see what her BIG home looks like now. 🏰

+1. The reality of my character's existence starts to become too gamey if everything can be accomplished. I very rarely use TCL. I had to use it in Morrowind the other day, only because a door got stuck. An ash zombie spawned in Balmora's Guild of Fighters, and was holding the shut from the other side, so Joan couldn't get into the room to pwn it. And that situation, she had to get into that room, bc she really needed sleep. And the "You cannot sleep because enemies are nearby" message prevented this.

Emergency situation, in other words. My characters need sleep!
