PhonAntiPhon: In the Imperial City. 727 hours

Kidding. Renee Gade III is also in the Big City. Just rented a room in All Saints Inn. She's on a quest to find Welkynd stones, she needs 8 more for this quest she's doing. rolleyes.gif

Yea you'd better not be seeing Subarus in your game. Have to come to Scandinavia and smack ya. bigsmile.gif No more resurrecting Foresters. nono.gif

Nice stuff. Lothran could never finish that fetch quest so he now keeps anyone he comes across.

Is ms Gade the Third big on spells btw?

Not huge. She can heal herself and Convalescence NPCs. She's got a shield spell but it's not the best. Fortify Fatigue, Absorb Fatigue (based on the Xena TV show, Xena could do this "pinch" thing to enemies which made them fall). She can Charm. Dispel.

Couple other spells but they're rarely used. What's more important are her items. Her game's been going since 2014 so she's found lots of magical items over the years.

-- A ring which lights 10 feet and a dress which lights 60. She only wears the dress in towns at night though.
-- A cowl of Nighteye (great for dungeons, of course).
-- An amulet which absorbs Magic
-- Ring of Sunfire.
-- Ring of Shielding 20%
-- Pair of gauntlets which Detect Life 75 feet or so.
-- Helmet of Waterbreathing (rarely used). Boots of Riverwalking (rarely used).

-- And a bunch of swords, magical or mundane!

Looks like a good collection of magical trinkets goodjob.gif

Lothran is still in the Imperial City, roaming the streets and talking to people. Come this weekend he'll once again head out to Skingrad and the beauty that is the West Weald.

And yes; that deer is still in the Tiber Septim hotel. Neither the hostess nor the other patrons are even mentioning her though so I guess it's not as weird or unusual as I thought it was tongue.gif

As Lothran entered the Two Sister's Inn he was surprised to see S'rathad standing there!

Anyway; Easter is fast approaching and Lothran will soon head out into the deep wild and once again locate the hidden house.

Shadeleaf Copse, midday

Fort Empire, about halfpast noon.

mirocu
Lothran is now lost in the wilderness surrounding the Isolated House. An area where south is north and west is east.

It's also an area where one of the waterfalls go in the wrong direction. Three ponds are connected via waterfalls, and where the second and largest one connects to the third downstream, the flow actually goes backwards in the sort of middle section before the actual fall to the third pond.

I blame the rogue Conjurers at Fort Black Boot tongue.gif
Renee
Whatt?? Waterfalls go in the wrong direction? blink.gif

Loredas, early evening, Heartfire 6, 4th Era Year 22 -- Renee Gade III is in Aleswell, spending the night. Tomorrow she'll head to Weye. I'm doing some mod testing for Guards Of Cyrodiil Redux, and there's supposed to be a fort RG3 can visit from this mod.

Yeah, go have a look when you have a character in that area. You know where these ponds and waterfalls are?

It's not the actual fall that goes in the wrong direction, but the stream of water between the second pond and the fall to the third pond.

I remember Decrepit having a mansion in Weye. Nice place smile.gif

Lothran is now back from the wilderness and ready to have some fun with the vamps again! biggrin.gif

Today is Renee Gade III's in-game birthday! cake.gif
Acadian
cake.gif WooHoo! cake.gif
Renee
I should elaborate. I knew it was her birthday because of a birthday quest I made up (in my modding thread) which adds a message to the game when someone's coolgrin.gif occurs. cake.gif The moment occurred while she was in the bathing house getting clean.

She had quite a birthday actually. Went on a pub crawl. wacko.gif Started in the Oak and Crossier with a bottle of Tamikas, then continued up the street to Twin Goblet Pub (Better Cities). There she got drunk with the two companions with her: some beer, some rum, etc. She capped off the day chatting with a red-robed high elf, who just happens to be part of the Archaeology Guild. redwizardsmile.gif RG3 spoke to the Altmer, and decided to help the guild "explore" some cavern below Chorrol.

That blew me away. All this time, probably over 10 years, I've had no idea this guild exists in my game. And the day Xenagade discovers (and joins) the guild happened on her cake.gif day.

Winter Wolf
That birthday crawl sounded wild! Is that a mod?

My Argonian is now exploring remastered and trying to hide from West Weald bears! I have killed a few cubs but are now extremely worried where Momma is....
Renee
Nice, glad you have joined us, WW. So your Argonian is doing that bears quest. Shardrock or close by.

The birthday message itself is an idea I came up with, other wise there's no way I'd be able to remember to check her specific day of birth: Heartfire 13. Basically a quest which hosts a script. Easy to make, just click here! Everything else described is either Better Cities or just some random roleplayin.

Renee Gade III is about to leave Chorrol, headed back to the city. We've been unable to find this "silver gate" the high elf described in Crumbling Mine, but I think there's a storm grate we can try to plunder.

Winter Wolf
Yes, terrorizing those bears near Shardrock is great fun. I love spinning them around in circles!

Next up my Argonian has decided a quicky visit to Valenwood is in the order of the day.

Oh no! I think he has become lost!!

Lost across the border.

The forests of Valenwood is missing here- replaced with Skyrim valleys and peaks.

Where am I?

**

Nice idea about the birthday script.

Have fun in those mines!
Renee
Map is pretty. Nice and clean.

Wait, we can go to Valenwood? ohmy.gif Oblivion Remastered includes Valenwood? Can you elaborate?

Sunny here on Sundas, which means I'm playing Fallout. About to roll a new person in New Vegas. cool.gif
Winter Wolf
The remastered game does include most of Valenwood. You can swim across the river down near Kvatch and climb up the side into the land of the Bosmer. Unfortunately no buildings, towns, enemies or anything, and the place looks like Skyrim anyway, haha.

I stopped exploring when I was half way across Valenwood.

It is neat that they did model the land and not just use a rendered backdrop.

**

My character has now stopped off in Gottshaw Inn. It started raining as I bypass Kvatch and he has laid his clothes out to dry on an old wooden chair. With pipe in mouth he has settled back with a musty tome.

My character has now stopped off in Gottshaw Inn.

That's a nice place to rest. Lothran always stay there on his way to Anvil in late May/early June smile.gif
TrisRed
Tristan is still journeying to collect reccomendations for the makes guild. Just walking and taking in (remastered) Cyrodiil is amazing.

Although he doesn't really aspire to be mage, he wants to get into the jniversity to see a family member.

Which brings me to a question. Does anybody have any idea how old Julienne Fanis, the university alchemist, is supposed to be?

In OG she looks so young, but in remastered she looks quite more mature.

My head cannon had her as Tristans sister, but I think she may now be his aunt haha.
Renee
TrisRed: I can look up Julienne Fanis in the Construction Set or TES4Edit later, if I remember to. Should have her age listed, pretty sure. UESP.net doesn't have an answer.

Wolf: Hmm... think we need to declare which Wolf, since there are now two wolves at Chorrol. bigsmile.gif So Winter Wolf: what's your guy's name?

Off-topic: Valenwood sounds like the Valenwood Improved mod, devoid of life, unfinished establishments, interiors, villages, etc. But maybe the idea over time VI will get filled with content.

Winter Wolf
@ Renee- My first build is always just for testing. I choose an Argonian so I can swim and explore everything before settling down on a proper build. In Fallout I call the test build 'Metro Legend' and in Elder Scrolls- 'ES Legend'.

As I move around the map I am letting my mind slowly create a proper character that I can play.... I will probably choose a Breton or Imperial trader or maybe a crusader character this time. In about a week I will decide.

@ Mirocu- It is the perfect stop-over point on the road to Anvil. The Imperial soldier inside lends reassurance with all the trouble in nearby Kvatch. And Brina Cross Inn never feels safe...

**

We are now off on the road to Anvil. ES has heard that the water is beautiful this time of year. Reports of a group of mages causing trouble on the roads means that he will delay travel until the daylight hours. Just in case.
Renee
That's so cute! I can't make Test characters, I simply can't do it. I always wind up roleplaying them as actual people. I even made an orc back in COVID days, intending her as a test (since I'd never played orcs in the past) who would explore Valenwood Improved. But that didn't work. Right away I came up with a name for her: Balztu gra-Dawalz laugh.gif From there it was all uphill: does Balztu need to sleep and eat? What's her preference for clothing / armor, weaponry, bla bla bla...

That is a great reason to roll an Argonian: he can go anywhere since they breathe underwater. smile.gif

Breton or Imperial trader sounds great. So not so combat-oriented, I assume?

Winter Wolf
@ Renee- I like the idea of getting mercantile high on this next character, plus role play a religion build. Mmmm, hard to say about combat yet- if I go pure trader or crusader/knight.

**

The Gold Road to Anvil was full of wonderful wildlife. It almost seemed like they wanted a pat or some feed.

Anvil turned out to be a lovely town. Wandering through the town was a thrill and ES longed to see and smell the wonderful ocean again. But a trip to see friends was the order of the day. First, a stop into the fighter's guild and a quick chat, followed by a very special friend- Quill-Weave.

The day has grown dark so ES will have to leave the lighthouse and swim for tomorrow.

Acadian
Wolf, thanks for the tour highlights and screenshots!
Winter Wolf
@Acadian- Thanks! I hope I can see Buffy over in remastered one day!

**

I played around with the character creator- this is this new toon I shall use.

Tulles Talick

He will be an Imperial warehouse worker and courier, helping to transport goods between the Imperial City and the far off cities. He longs for a better life and has dreams within his pilgrim heart.

Perhaps his long for a new life will bring wealth and grace to his future, or poverty and hardship?
Grits
Juliette has made it to the Market District and sold some silly things. I had forgotten the delight of ransacking those barrels and crates.

She needs to find work so she can start stashing her alchemy supplies. It has been fun so far to just walk around!

That would be so helpful! I know I could easily just make up an age, but I want it lore friendly haha

I read on reddit that she's supposedly 26, but the poster didn't link or explain a source or anything, but I'm inclined to believe they most likely looked where you suggested!
mirocu
Lothran has just had some fun with the necromancers at Fort Linchal; in total he bagged eleven of them with some help from his Spriggan and her bear. He also collected some fine stuff including another somewhat rare Necromancer's Hood.
Winter Wolf
@ Mirocu- What method do you use to kill Necromancers? Use the conjuration and close in quick? Or stealth and invisibility or drain speed? What is Lothran's main weapon?

**

I have rerolled my Argonian and are back at level 2. He has a proper name now (Wud-Nur) and is exploring the area around Chorrol. Light rain is falling and he feels quite at home with water dripping off his born growths.
mirocu
QUOTE(Winter Wolf @ May 1 2025, 07:27 PM) *

@ Mirocu- What method do you use to kill Necromancers?

First he rushes in and gets their attention by throwing an AoE spell. Then he rushes out, waits for them and when they appear he summons the Spriggan and simply watches the show.

QUOTE(Winter Wolf @ May 1 2025, 07:27 PM) *

What is Lothran's main weapon?

A mace that does elemental damage which is usually preceded by a Weakness spell. He also carries a backup Daedric dagger that does Damage Health and also a bow.

@Wolf - What was your Argonian's level prior to the reroll?
Winter Wolf
@ Mirocu- Your build sounds great fun! I got to level 5 before I felt I needed a reroll. The stats and class were great, but I did not like the look of the Argonian. He was too flashy, with large born growths. now he is more subtle, hiding into the crowd like a proper assassin/thief.

**

Wud-Nur is exploring south of Hackdirt. He is picking ingredients as he goes and fighting wolves and rats. He just reached level 3.
