QUOTE(Decrepit @ Sep 16 2016, 08:26 PM)

My decrepit avatar, his ward and their wolf are about to exit Weye Manor, reclaim their mounts and Groucho and begin a patrol of the Green to Leyawiin, with stop en route to deliver a shipping consignment in Bravil.
You might notice that the gang is setting out on a patrol which, in my previous report, they had only just completed. Sadly, sometime between then and this afternoon the game began crashing more and more frequently. These crashes mostly occurred the first time they zoned through a door after having made a save, assuming the game wasn't exited and relaunched between save and zone. Twice it crashed during the save process itself, corrupting those saves. By this afternoon crashing at a door zone following a save was pretty much constant.
I've added no new mods in ages. My a-bomb counter is comfortably safe at circa 16%, as measured by Wrye Bash. Bash found no bloating within those saves.
I had, however, experimented with ENBoost, a supposed game stabilizer and performance enhancer, several days ago, but soon removed it because it exacerbated objectionable micro-stutters when traveling near a graphically intense area such as the Imperial City. Not sure why ENBoost would cause problems. It does not install in the data folder. Nor does it change Oblivion.ini. Still, it's all I had to go on. I'm not sure exactly when I installed/removed ENBoost, but the downloaded file is dated 9/13/2016. To be safe I removed all saves created after 9/12/2016, which saw the gang about to exit Chorrol, where they had gone following their Anvil patrol to restock their Second-Hand Sales shoppe.
I hope I'm not jinxing myself by stating that, between exiting Chorrol and now, the game has not crashed, despite numerous saves and zonings.
The saddest thing about losing all those saves is that they include one of the most immersionistic romps through RockMilk I ever witnessed. On the other hand, their ride up the Yellow on the way home stank to high heaven, one unimmersionistic event after the other in fairly rapid succession from start to finish.
Really sorry about those problems, and hoping that removing the "boost" fixed them.
RockMilk Cave is my favorite cave in Oblivion. After
saving the realm ... er, I mean completing the main questline with Maxical, the bandits of RockMilk cave suddenly became friendly to Maxical! Since they weren't attacking her, (in fact, said they were honored by her presence!) - she couldn't very well start killing them! So Maxical's days of cleaning house at RockMilk Cave ended, though she can now step in there to eat or sleep with the bandits (not sleep with them, of course - I mean in that tent).
*I am SO enjoying having Decrepit and Vilja updates back !!!!*

I have been doing a daily diary sort of thing with Xena Gade aka Renee Gade III, and she just began doing the Order of Virtuous Blood quests, which branches off into a mod-added set of quests called Vampire Hunter.
Early Evening, Sun's Dawn 23, 4th Era Year 21Days Passed: 181
Rather warm day, finally. Renee breaks into Roland Jenseric's house with the key Seridur gave to her. Gabrielle follows, mostly because she's been bored for weeks just hanging around the Imperial City while her friends have all been gone. Jada (Renee's faithful dark elf archer) also comes along. Jada's skills mostly involve lockpicking during this portion of the quest. Roland's got a chest with a 4-tumbler lock on it? No problem. Jada can handle it.
Renee also expects that Roland will be there, still asleep since the sky is still light outside. She rushes from Seridur's house to her horse, changes into her favorite armor suit
(pic) and grabs two flaming swords (two-handed and one-handed, respectively), and then rushes to Roland's house, expecting to find the vampire still asleep.
But he is nowhere to be seen. After some searching, she finds some sort of a love letter, one which tells of a 'cabin in the woods'.

My gosh you guys are silly today.
Sundas, Sun's Dawn 24Cool & foggy morning. Spent most of the day indoors, sleeping and taking it easy. Went into the Market District's bath house once again at around noon, then visited Goddess Store in late afternoon. By then it seemed a storm was about to brew, though it never kicked in, really.
Renee stopped by the bank before going to Goddess Store. She withdrew 1,000 gold (leaving over 4,000 in savings), then bought a pair of Apachi Girl Boots (186 gp), a feather headdress (146), Medieval Black Dress (292), then had her nails done for 292 gold. She even bought Gabrielle a green dress.
Best of all (from a combat perspective) she learned that one of the Goddesses in the top portion of the store can repair magical armor, and can also recharge items. At
ANY time. No more waiting around mage's guilds for hours, waiting for an enchanter to come off his extended lunch break!
(My gosh, the variety of things to buy & wear in this place are endless! I'd post some pics, but they'll have to wait a few, maybe until tomorrow).

Joan of Arkay is in Bruma (eat your heart out, Lothie). Since she's a member of the Fighters Guild, she's been staying in its basement, freeing up some money since she doesn't have to rent a room. She also just bought a paint horse, and inquired about local baddie-hangouts, and there's a couple nearby she's interested in: Capstone Cave (which she just finished clearing) and an Ayleid ruin just north of Capstone & Applewatch.
The Ayleid ruin is packed with undead apparently, so she'll be heading there tomorrow, on Loredas. Right now she's in the Chapel of Talos, and will head to the Fighters Guild soon. She'll probably stay in Bruma until Sundas.

One of them magic Oblivion moments again. Lothran is currently in Leyawiin and was on his way out the doors to wander around Blackwood. But before exiting through the gates he suddenly decided to turn around and instead enjoy a nice afternoon and evening in town. It was a good call that made his follower quite happy as the town´s atmosphere was at its peak.
It wasn´t until nighttime he finally went through the gates and made it into the woods. He´s just now on the small island with the house remains and on his way there he got three Azkhlan trolls.

Maxical has been having this happen for several years now. The ones that say "Your money or your life" still approach her, but the regular bandits and marauders have stopped attacking her. Also, wolves and mountain lions don't attack her either; but everything else still does.
It all started after she completed the main quest and became the "Champion of Cyrodiil;" but since then I have brought her back to that first save escaping the sewers and it is still happening. They talk to her, tell her it is an honor, etc.
I thought at first the wolves was a leftover from my Werewolf mod because it set the game where wolves identify with your character as one of them; but that is one of the mods that Wrye-Bash ate, so I doubt it would have left any residual changes.
I don't know what causes it, but like Lothran, Maxical has a high personality; and she also wears enchanted clothing and jewelry to enhance her personality too.

I used to be a master of Oblivion's disposition mini game. Could max any NPC's disposition in seconds without a single slip. Problem is that my avatar buttered up everyone there was to butter up very early on, so that there was soon no one to practice the wheel on, except those few times I added a new quest mod (or other mod that adds NPCs). That, added to his many prestigious honorifics and him refusing to do anything that hints of "evil" (beyond a certain point) has insured that I've not been able to touch the wheel in years. Earlier this month it dawned on me that I no longer remember the formulas that make its use so simple. What's more, senile as I've become I seriously doubt I'll be able to master them again, certainly not to the extent I once did.

As Lothran has capped out there is no way he´ll ever reach those numbers

But yeah, that wheel´s pretty easy or at least easy enough. I usually top it off by exiting the mini-game, rasing a weapon and re-enter it in order to maximize the disposition.

That personality mini-game thwarted me for years! Every time I played it - ended up dropping the NPC's disposition to the point they were ready to attack her in hatred,
But I also managed to keep my infamy down to zero thanks to the "Knights of the Nine" DLC giving your infamy that miracle of the gods cleansing every time you do a Pilgrimage,
But I made myself keep playing on that Personality wheel and eventually got the hang of it. Maxical's personality being high didn't help her with Vilja though

I'll have to look up the numbers for Blossom. She was created because the lower value anywhere in the

In principle, yes. You can create a local style sheet of your own to override aspects of theirs. That facility exists so that, for example, a blind user could override with options to support a text-to-speech system.
So with only a couple of years of CSS training, you'd be able to make your own!

Lothran left Bravil today, and quite abruptly too. Didn´t expect him to do that yet to be honest. We had been wandering around town and had just come out from a visit to the castle, when Lothran suddenly turned around and looked at me with quite an annoying look on his face.
"What are we doing, mirocu? Wandering around town midday with no real plans what to do? This isn´t Bruma, you know. We have not gone into hibernation just yet. I want something to do! I want to travel the roads and search caves and forts for valuables and things to collect! Let´s go!"
And with that, who was I to say no? And perhaps more importantly; did I dare to..?

So out through Bravil´s gates we went and deep into Robber Glenn´s Cave. Found mostly imps and minor loot, plus a Minotaur Lord. Nothing much, but it was something. Then we stopped by and said hi to Pantsless Mannheim and his friends and then we bought a freshly baked Potato Bread at Faregyl Inn. Rain is pouring down outside so we´re taking a break now. But I reckon we´ll make another trip to Cheydinhal for ingredients and search another dungeon or two before entering Imperial City for winter preparations.
