I favor white for the trim, with light blue as a second choice.

Please relay my thanks to Cirinwe for her patience and spectacular job of modeling! tongue.gif

Edit: I somehow missed mALX's rationale for possibly avoiding white trim. Given her Cyrodiil creds, I want to now agree that I think light blue would be the best border color. Pretty and practical.

Big time thanks to Grits for the donations of so many Master Writs toward our Guild Hall getting Attunable tables!!! We now have our first set at the Hall !!!!

Mages Guild: Eyes of Mara

It is inside, turn to the right after you enter and it is under the stairs. I'll put Mages Guild on one side, Fighters Guild on the other.

So WOO HOO !!!!

** We now have 6 vouchers toward the next 750 needed for our next set of tables, leftover from the Master Writ Grits donated this morning!

Let's just leave it as white. It pops!

Regarding the tabard design: I know many people like the white border because of the white tree, but I have to go with mALX on that one. Not only does she make a good point about it being much more visible from a distance, but to my eye it pulls one's focus away from the tree. IMH(humble)O, the tree should be the main focus and no other elements should visually compete with it.

After having ventured into Cyrodiil and being hammered by rival players, I don't care to wear anything that's going to call attention to ME. cool.gif

Do we even need a border on the Tabbard?

It doesn't look as good without the border; but a darker blue border or even a lighter blue = looks great, but doesn't "pop" - and as Haute pointed out, you really don't want to pop in Cyrodiil; but you def want to represent there. (When I take down another player, I want that Chorrol tree to be the last thing they see! BWAAHAA!!! )

So Khajiit is expecting that while trying to collect Minotaur and Order of the Hour motifs he will gain extras of these and probably Assassin's League motif too. If he were to put these in the bank would any of you guys be able to use these or perhaps try and sell them for Khajiit through trader guild merchants?

Those would both sell very well and at decent prices at the Guild Stores if you have a trade Guild membership. Best to sell what you can earn well from; and donate what it won't hurt you to donate.

What you can do too, is to check on sites like "Tamriel Trade" to find the average price for them - post on here to see if anyone wants to buy it for the fair market price. If not, then post it at the Guild traders.

** Note: Tamriel Trade shows the lowest to the highest prices; and the lowest are usually not real = can't be found. So shoot for the middle on them, or just ask someone who has Master Merchant what to price things at. Most people who use Guild traders have Master Merchant installed in their game. (I do).

I don't belong to any guilds but Chorrol. That is why I so like having the Chorrol bank. When Buffy finds something she knows is quite valuable, she can put it in the bank so one of us can (hopefully) use it.

If there comes a time when our 500 slot guild bank begins to get full, then I guess we could pair it down and ask one of our guild traders to perhaps sell some of the excess, keeping part of the proceeds for their trouble and perhaps dropping a portion of the gold back in the bank for guild stuff. Just some thoughts - those with multiple guild experience probably can offer better ideas.

Regardless, Buffy is loving our guild bank! She drops things like purple set rings and recipes for food/furniture in there and takes out a few that she is looking for that others have kindly dropped in there. Another nice thing is that if we ever get a new member who is also new to ESO, they will certainly be able to pick up lockpicks, soul gems and all the basic motif books very easily!

Yeah this is kind of what Khajiit was getting at. Chorrolites could claim the items for free but if no one wanted them, a Chorrolite who is a member of a trade guild could try to sell them and we would split the money or put it in the guild funds.

Well, if you are ever interested in joining one, let me know and I'll send you an invite to SneakyBo like I did for Kazeara - she was very happy with them! You are allowed to join up to 5 Guilds. I use 4 trade Guilds at all times to keep the gold flowing for my game. (although recently I've been thinking of dropping one of them and joining a PvP one that plays in Cyrodiil).

What you have to decide is, whether you need/want the funds or not. I sell everything that I know will sell quickly and make me good money (gold). However; I have some valuable items that don't sell well, too. (example, that 6th House Sash valued at 14,000 = couldn't sell it in two months at lower than market price = people were waiting for the prices to drop). So rather than keep holding onto them and blocking up my store shelves or inventory slots with them; I put them in the Guild bank because maybe someone else can use them.

The thing is, we all still need to have an income for our own game; so don't feel you have to put everything in the Guild bank. If you can sell it, you should try to for your own game. And I think those motifs will sell (not the Assassins League, but the other two); and for a good price. I'll get in game and check what they are selling for (for you) if you want.

If you can't give it away, it won't sell (it will just clog up someone's store shelves). Also, if someone was to put those items up with their own items; there would be no way to separate them from their own items or determine what income came from those sales without extreme care (not to mention it would block the member from the income that those store shelves used would normally bring.

What SneakyBo does with any stuff no one wants that is left over after the auction is to take them to a Merchant vendor to sell, then put the gold from that sale into the Guild bank. If the item is too valuable to vendor; then they leave it in the bank in case later someone wants it. (example: Kazeara hasn't been here since the bank was instituted, she may want some of the items).

If worse comes to it, my son's account has the ability to add five more mules; we can use it for storage if needed.

You have to sell about 2000 per week. I normally sell that in the first hour after filling my shelves at the longest. I normally bring in about 100,000 per week selling nothing but alchemy ingredients and uncooked food stuff.

I'll be tied up for the next three hours or so; but I'll get on there tonight and send you an invite; no problem at all.

(And that Guild has a Teamspeak, so if you are dungeon crawling with any members it is easy to plan the next Boss fight!)

A'Likr Desert/Sentinel. (I have two Trade Guilds in Craglorn, but they have no room for new members and a much higher minimum rate per week. I also am a member of that guild I might quit to join a Cyrodiil PvP Guild = their Guild trader is in Khenarthi's Roost. They have no minimum sales, and have plenty of room for new members = you won't ever be kicked out of there, but they also don't sell very well, so it is a toss up as to their value).

Khajiit really appreciates the offer but he isn't sure he has anything anybody wants at the moment (certainly not 2000 gold worth), so hold off for now with the invite (unless you've done it already, of course).

So mixed feelings about the border colour, but white seems to be slightly more popular so we'll stick with that.

Personally I'd say that if someone's close enough to see your border colour, they're close enough to see you regardless of what colour you're wearing (ESO is hardly a stealth simulator). Besides, we're not a PvP guild so I don't think we should base guild decisions on such activities - the tabard should be a badge of pride that we all wear, not a soldier's uniform that some of us wear to lurk around Cyrodiil.
Acadian
Though I don't have strong feelings about the border, I'm delighted that we'll be using the 'Fang' style, as Buffy and most of the other ladies seem to find it more shapely.

Hazmick, since you so kindly bear the mantle of leadership for our guild and consistently make sound, fair and reasoned decisions after listening to the guild, I readily support the decisions you make. Thanks again for being our guildmaster. smile.gif

There are hats - and the selection changes - but no smurfy ones presently.

Five fingers only.

Blue skin on a Dunmer. Tiny height on a Bosmer. Each race has a moderately small height range based on their race. For example the shortest Altmer you can make is still way taller than the tallest Bosmer you can make.

That's the bad news. The good news is that skin textures and customization of facial features/body mass proportions is quite good.

As a total novice to guild banks, I learned something today. If I put in a stack of 3 Nord motif books, somebody else puts in a single Nord motif book, and yet somebody else puts in a stack of, say, 4 Nord motif books, all of that takes up 3 bank slots - no autostacking! That looked odd to me so I looked for a 'stack' command for the bank and there is none. So I took all the various size stacks of motif books, food and crafting recipes that were the same but in different slots and put them in Buffy's inventory. Then we used the 'stack' command for our inventory. Then put the much fewer but larger stacks back in our guild bank. The happy result was that our guild bank went from 117/500 slots in use to 95/500 slots in use.

Lesson for me is, when adding stackable items and there are already items of the same kind in there, take out like all items, consolidate (stack) all in Buffy's inventory, then return all in one tidy stack to the guild bank.

Lesson for me is, when adding stackable items and there are already items of the same kind in there, take out like all items, consolidate (stack) all in Buffy's inventory, then return all in one tidy stack to the guild bank.

That is a known flaw, there is a name for what you have to do (pulling them all out; stacking them; then putting them all back in to consolidate them) - something like "Twiddling the Guild Bank" or something. I don't think that is the name, but I've been asked to do it before for SneakyBo - just can't remember what they called it.

The only concern about that is: Make sure BEFORE pulling out any Materials or Fishing Supplies that you LOCK YOUR CRAFT BAG!

(Go to "Settings," "Gameplay," "Auto-add to Craft Bag" = turn it off. Otherwise it will add all the Guild bank mats and fishing supplies in with your own in your Craft Bag).

If you forget this step and take all the materials by accident, you can always find out exactly what you withdrew by going to "Guilds," "History," "Bank," "Withdrawal;" find out exactly the amount of and each item you withdrew, (and pull just that amount from your Craft Bag to deposit back into the bank).

(Of course, we don't have to worry about this for our Guild Bank because it is being used for "Open Exchange")

Something else about Guild Banks that I learned through working for SneakyBo =

With most Guild banks you can split a stack you are depositing, but not split it as you are withdrawing it from the Guild Bank.

So if you want one of a recipe and there are 4 in the bank; pull all 4 out, then switch to "Deposit" and use "Split Stack" to put just 3 back.

I don't know why Guild banks don't let you split stack on a withdrawal; but it is another quirk more than one of them have.

They have add-ons that help you work with your Guild bank, but some of them tend to drag down your gameplay by overtaking your chat box with a glut of useless obsessive data/info that not even the Guildmaster needs to have streamed throughout the game. You are better off without them and just learning to work with/around the Guild bank flaws.

Thank you for that additional info, mALX! That is very helpful to know and has potential to certainly save some panic and/or headaches for me. smile.gif

I've bought a bunch of them, and Grits has donated a lot too. But that one I got as a Writ reward for 251 vouchers = that was a whole table in one Master Writ! Wish I could get a bunch of those, lol.

Those are the best. These days I'm mostly graced with 90~ ones. :T

But yeah, that explains the huge progress. I'd be doing it too if it weren't for me being broke from Mazzatun motifs.

It was still in there, so I got it - it will help me when doing these Master Writs to get the crafting sets. Thank you so much!

Yeah, it might take forever if I don't buy some of them!

Let me know which tables you have, and I will avoid getting those so we don't have duplicates.

I just swapped a duplicate Ambrosia recipe fragment for one I needed that was in the bank, so check the bank if you are looking for (I think) fragment VII.

I should have some free time tonight, if anyone wants a spontaneous Guild adventure. Jerric was just given a “Swan Satin Bathing Thong,” time for some swimming! laugh.gif

By the way, the Vouchers are up to 571; and I have another 10 that I've been fishing up some Perfect Roe to fill; another six I can do in two days when I'm finished researching a trait; and another six I can do in 8 days when that trait is finished researching! (so it is getting there, I've just had to save up some gold to buy more Master Writs, lol)

It’s not equipable, thank the Divines! It’s one of those treasure items that you steal, launder, and gift to a friend hoping that they’ll make an ass of themselves at a pool party. (Lleduri has a mean streak.)

Yay on the vouchers!!
