This thread can be used to discuss the soon-to-be-created PC NA guild, so as not to clog up the other areas of the forum.

First order of business is a name. Drop any ideas in here or shoot me a message and I'll chuck them all into a strawpoll some time and everyone can vote on it.

Names can include spaces and punctuation but not numbers, and there is a limit of 25 characters.

Oh, great idea! Just remember that whatever guild name we have will show up on the chatbox to other members; and in reading these for the last almost two years = the shorter the name, the easier it is on the chatbox reading for members. Otherwise the name takes up more than one line, and bumps up so you can't see the message sometimes.

I'll make the poll tomorrow morning, so that's 24 hours or so to come up with any final ideas.


We also need to choose what alliance our guild is with. It only matters if we wanted to do PvP, but I wanted to double check to see if you guys had a preference. If not, I'll just go with Aldmeri Dominion, since everyone loves Queen Ayrenn.



The name is MarshRangerHaz if you want to try again. Of course once we get the guild up and running we can add each other straight from the guild roster.

Does it really have to be aligned with an alliance? I know it does make a difference who your Guild is aligned with when you get into PvP; as to whether you or your guild can claim a taken keep or not?

Yep, in the guild creation screen you have to pick an alliance. It's just for PvP keeps, as you said, and has no bearing on PvE or anything else.

I don't plan on doing much, if any, PvP so it's up to everyone else.

I hope to test the waters one day; just haven't reached that point yet. And there may be other members that want to as well.

Why don't we keep it an open discussion for input from all the prospective members for right now, let everyone have a say in the decision?

We are fine with whatever the majority wants, where alliances are concerned.

I don't play the game, but I have always liked "The Knights of Good" for a guild name.

Found it on Netflix! How many seasons were there? Just one?

There were six seasons. But a season for this show is not like it is for other shows. It was made for the web, so each episode is only 5 or 10 minutes long. So an entire season is usually about an hour long. Netflix does not even bother listing the episodes separately to watch. You just watch an entire season at a time.

1. I don't care much about the Alliance. Buffy presently belongs to the EP but her heart is with the AD. And she doesn't have much interest in Cyrodiil pvp. Her only possible draw would be as a healer for guild members. If I remake her someday, it would be back to the AD.

2. Can we start a guild with <10 players? Is the number 10 simply needed to have a guild bank? I'm guessing one player with 6 characters counts as 1 for guild purposes?

You can start a guild with as many, or as few, players as you like. You unlock guild heraldry and the guild bank at 10 members, and the guild store at 50.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure a player only counts as 1 member regardless of how many characters they have.

Oh, that's good news. Even with half a dozen or so we can start a guild then. The bank at 10 will eventually just make it easier to share gear instead of mailing or face-to-face trading.

Okay, I just spilled everything I know about guilds - see it all fits conveniently in a thimble. I don't belong to any player guilds to this will all be quite new to me.

I've been asked to join a couple trading guilds but really don't have any interest in that. A social/play/help each other guild sounds great though.

You also get a guild chat channel I believe, so it's even easier for everyone to chat to each other.

Count me in. PC NA here. Don't mind the alliance much, as I have one character in each one. Don't ask about actual loyalty. I have 2 active in EP though as opposed to the single ones in AD and DC. I don't actually PvP, so it won't be a problem either way.

Jerric is in the Ebonheart Pact as a Templar simply to allow exploring Cyrodiil with the characters who were on the PC NA at the time. I also started a Sorc build for him in the AD, mostly to try out a purely DD build. If we choose the DC I will just give him a DC build to jump into when called for. Jerric is not committed to any Alliance, but he would go to war in support of friends. Whichever Alliance the guild affiliates with will work for us.

That is what I'm looking forward to! Finally, a place to dump off 200 Ta and Oko runes where someone can actually use them, lol. I've been giving them away to Guild raffles and everyone thinks it is a crappy donation,

Lol, Khajiit would be glad to have them!! Upcoming Breton ReachWitch character is going to be an enchanting champ!

Misa has been my "Enchanting Champ," but I'm about to remove all the crafting from her if I can get my dedicated crafter to learn all the styles she knows. He is already able to do all the enchanting; but since I haven't respec'd the Enchanting out of her, may as well use it while it is there instead of swapping characters all the time.

Mira dabbled in it, learned a few translations

Learning the translations is really fun and simple; you can use any Potency rune available to your skill level and just change out the Essence till you have learned them all using the Ta as your Aspect stone. Ta are prolific in Runestone loot; so you can learn them in no time that way. After that, just grinding up every Glyph you can get your hands on and doing writs boosts your level up quickly - especially if you have Witches Brew or Breda Mead to drink to boost your XP while doing it, lol.

I'm always giving away Runes because I have a ton of them and need inventory space, so if you need any just ask!

Ta are the little round white ones right?

The Aspect stones are all round; but yes = Ta is the one with white print = worth nothing and thousands of them everywhere, lol. That is why I used them to learn the traits.

And if you keep your skill POINTS level at its lowest while you are grinding up glyphs to level your overall skill level in Enchanting, you will reach 50 in it in no time because Everything you grind up will be your level or above.

As soon as you sink points into it, anything below that level won't give you enough XP to raise your level anymore.

(So I don't advise sinking skill points into it till you reach level 50 in it if you want to progress quickly in it).

I've been giving @ 600 of them per week away to the guilds I'm a member of, and just the other day heard someone griping about some members giving "Crappy donations" - knew right away he was talking about my Ta stones,

I agree. I mean, everyone has to use them, and not everyone likes to gather mats - so someone will want them. And at only about 1 gold each = no sense in even trying to sell them, may as well just give them away. Especially since - if you do gather with any regularity, you get about 1000 of them per week = 5 inventory slots. (if I didn't give them away, I'd be just destroying them 200 at a time).

Exactly! People like Khajiit joins a guild and wants one of his characters to learn enchanting so he/she can help the guild, they will need those low level mats.

Well I've got tons of them, so please don't ever hesitate to ask. I don't have the ESO+ membership; so don't have that "Crafting-Bag-of-Holding" - need any inventory space I can get, lol. So a good portion of the time I'm really happy to get rid of stuff. I just have trouble making myself destroy it in case someone else might need it.

You can dump anything you don't want on us (crafting wise), if you like. I do have + so we would be glad to "hold onto" any crafting stuff you need to clear out. No need to ask, just mail!

Only way I'd do that is if you used it if you needed it and/or shared it with someone else that needs it for their characters (in other words, they aren't wanting it to sell, but to use).

That is one of the reasons I hope we get a Guild Bank for our Guild - to put stuff into so anyone that needs it can just grab, it will be all of ours to use.

Another thing we can share on there = Provisioning Writs. If your character pulls a writ you don't have the recipe for and can't find it anywhere - someone else that does can deposit some of that item into the Guild bank for anyone who gets that Writ and can't complete it, etc. (it doesn't work for Alchemy or Equipment crafting, only Provisioning).

But say if I knew someone needed a recipe that I already had learned and found another copy of it in a dungeon - could pop it into the Guild Bank so that anyone that needed it would have it next time, etc.

Yeah, this one swears he must've pulled 3 or 4 of multiple recipes Mira already knew, many from the New Life. Ok, so maybe just send us what you don't want to keep and we will hold onto it until the guild gets our bank, and Khajiit's partners (Mira, Feng, etc.) will use them as needed? You get more inventory space, Khajiit gets mats to play around with, and then the guild gets lots of goodies later. It's a win win, yes?

I've been using "MonkeyEmoNess" since the Super Smash Brothers Brawl era (so 2008? Maybe later since I got the game FIRST before getting an actual Wii to play it on). It told the world I mained as Diddy Kong and "Emo" Ness. The name became useless the moment I started playing Lucas, Pikachu and Toon Link more often and forgot about Diddy Kong. *shrugs*

Anyways, is it worth mentioning that I'm a Master Crafter? Motifs and all? Cause there's that. :T I don't play this game for fun, I play it to collect Crafting Style chapters. (No crown store stuff, tho. I almost got Frostcaster but the 5 Mimic Stones killed any desire to)

Too bad we can't drop a bunch of arrows or scrolls and multiply the Mimic stones, lol.


I've been collecting motifs too, but am missing a bunch still.
