Spreads much appreciates Khajiit's contribution of Hollowjack chapters. They were exactly the ones she needed, so now it's just skulls, skulls, and more skulls.

Oh awesome! Khajiit is very glad they were of use to you!!

That was from my housing guild GM - seems there is a bug introduced with Murkmire that affects housing. If you go into your house, move furnishings around or add/remove/change items, then leave, then on your return everything will be jumbled/out of place.

The guild’s recommendation is to use Cardinal’s EHT add on to save your house before you make any changes to it.

Thanks for the heads up Haute. Khajiit moved some things in The Exorcised Cottage earlier before he saw your message in game. Hope everything is ok there sad.gif

I'm taking the approach of not changing anything until the fix is in. However, it looks like the bug that disables all interaction in player homes is only bypassed by tweaking a piece of furniture. Rock and a hard place.

At least the Sleek Creek home is real close to Rawl'kha, for the stations. The pain comes from not being able to use the storage chests when it hits.

Thanks for the heads up, Haute! You are def our front line defense when it comes to housing!

I have been trying to make a comment on Cardi's site since the day Ghastley first had trouble with the tables; but they keep saying my password is wrong; then sending me a temporary password to get into my account = but the temporary password is not working. So urgh; really having trouble accessing that site, lol.

Anyway = the reason I wanted to talk to them was = that day Ghastley first had trouble I went to the house and was checking the tables trying to recreate the trouble activating = but immediately as soon as I entered the editor; the room went dark and all I could see was that glowing blue grid! Freaked me out, lol. I couldn't use the editor at all without that happening!

At first I thought that was some conflict between the add-on and the patch that may also be causing Ghastley's issues with the tables; so I shut off EHT and WHEW! The darkened room and glowing blue grid went away.

So I haven't turned EHT back on again; my editor becomes totally useless to me with that blue grid and darkness blocking my vision. I wish Cardi could make that blue grid a toggle feature so you can turn it on and off as needed instead of it taking over all editing you try to do in the house that way; that is contra-helpful if you are just wanting to move a vase on a table and every time you enter the editor you have to see a glowing grid and darkened room.

Also, I'm not sure if this is an issue with EHT; the editor itself; or Psijic Villa (because that is the only place I've used EHT so far) = but for some reason when I was using EHT in there = the Z axis was not working like it is supposed to. Typing the same Z axis number for ballroom floor pieces into the editor should make a perfectly level floor (like it always has in these editors; Z axis is always up and down).

But in EHT when I typed in the same exact Z axis for a second ballroom floor piece as the one I have set to the perfect height = the second piece jumps to the right and raises by two feet OVER the original piece instead of level with it = when the only axis changed was the Z! How is changing only the Z axis causing the piece to move in two different directions = up and right?

In Oblivion, I could use the axises to build a whole building just by typing the pieces positions into the editor; a floor should be simple to make level with the editor EHT provides; so not sure whether the problem is some kind of conflict or an issue with Psijic Villa or what (because Psijic Villa is extremely flawed, that place is a mess of issues for placing anything; but especially activatables).

I don't think the Dev that made the Villa set the axises to zero when he set the first piece in there; everything is messed up in that place - so I wasn't sure if it was some issue with the Villa itself causing the EHT or editor to mess up

Anyway, I was trying to reach Cardi to beg him to make that grid toggle on (default off) so the editor can be used without that grid taking over unless it is wanted or needed; and to ask him about the Z axis issues.

*

Anyway, on these tables not working = I found out it is every activatable furnishing in the game except the lights; (even the chests) at every guild hall or house; and every person that comes into the cell re-causes the error; so me resetting it would only work till the next person came and as long as I stayed there while you used the tables (because when I left it would make them go askew again).

Ghastley is right; we kind of have to wait until ESO fixes the issue on their end; whatever code they messed up needs to be fixed before our tables and Mundus stones will be working again. verysad.gif

Hoping this morning's patch fixes everything; including the issue with activatables spawning prioritized before the floors they sit on.

I've now had two different symptoms from this. The first was having only some of the stations not usable, and the later one has been with everything (except the dummies and assistants) not usable. That's happened in my own home.

It may be that the new symptom was their attempt to fix the first one. I don't recall when they happened, and whether a hotfix came in between.

The fact that the current problem behaves like the player being treated as a "limited visitor" is very suspicious.

Yeah, they have done hot fixes every day since Murkmire dropped; and one emergency one in the mid afternoon one day! And that day that the only tables that worked for you being the Jewelry Crafting tables = that bug was all over the forums too; everyone was having it! (I guess everyone but the homeowners on that one). Then one of their fixes = I think I heard Haute say something about the game giving decorator permissions to all visitors. So now they have taken the homeowner's privileges away and given them limited access to their own homes? Holy Cow, don't the Dev's there know how to go back to the last good save and regroup? laugh.gif

I haven't had trouble with the Guild Hall yet, but my crew has only used the outside stations and NPCs since Murkmire. They have used them a lot, though. Are all of you who experience the issue using EHT?

Jerric dropped some wheat piles off at The Love Shack. I completely forgot about the hurricane bug. Hopefully it won't hit. ohmy.gif

I have turned it off, but not uninstalled. That's another thing to try, as it goes back in very quickly, and doesn't replace anything in the process.
Acadian
I don't have EHT or any housing add on. Yesterday, Buffy could not interact with the indoor crafting stations. No prompt or anything. Tried perhaps a dozen of them.

Over the last week or so Buffy has used numerous crafting tables at the guild hall - without a bit of trouble now.

I haven't been there nearly as much as everyone else, but since we moved there I've only had problems once; I think it was last Thursday = the same day they did the last Murkmire emergency repair patch. I'd brought Britta in and moved some items; and when Misa came by later to do something = none of the tables worked either inside or out. I reset one table and they all came back on. (keeps fingers crossed that good luck continues).

Not sure if it is pertinent or not, but like Ghastley = I've shut EHT, Port to Friends Homes, Homestead OCD, and Magic Carpets off (but didn't remove them) = any addons that messed with housing whatsoever.

I've also been adding things to my son's Psijic Villa and haven't had any hurricane issues there; so all is good in mALX world so far, lol.

Grits, do you have the flexibility to advertise a time that might be good for you and Jerric to run FG during the event? Seems like about 11 AM eastern US time has been working for you? Don't want to miss his runs but, like you, I tend to favor short sessions so knowing about when to be in game is great.

Grits
Around 11 am Eastern works great for week days, thank you for mentioning it. This weekend I'll probably pop in very early though, because I have no idea when I'll be free for the rest of the day. I will always check to see who's on and if they want to scoop up some tickets. biggrin.gif Happily this is a generous event, so I'm not worried about missing a day.

Unfortunately my schedule isn't reliable, so I appreciate very much when I can play with friends! Thank you!
Acadian
Buffy has had fun during the event. She capped her feathers/tix pretty early and I know that Gosse and both of mALX's accounts are capped now also with 12/12 tix. I hope Jerric and others got or will soon get all their tix.

*

Reminder that our guild meeting is this Friday at 5:00 PM Eastern US time.

Heh, it just so happens that Maj will be offering Fungal Grotto 1 as her pledge that day. Open to alternatives but sounds like a great opportunity for us - especially if you have any younger characters who might be challenged without a group. If we have more than four, Buffy will happily sit out as an alternate. Otherwise, she can group for it as a healer, dps or even Acadian could come out and tank - all are CP810 and well-familiar with FG1. Just one possibility for us but thought I'd throw out an opening idea. I'd also 'get it' if we are burned out on FG1 and group dungeons after this Undaunted event. tongue.gif
ghastley
Well, I have been studiously ignoring the event, because I don't want any feathers, and didn't fancy doing random PUG's for the boxes. That's why we spent all out time in BG, thinking they'd be relatively empty. However the queuing system seemed to be a single unified mess, so the "someone declined" issues were affecting BG as well.

So we're not FG'ed out at all, and would be happy to run that. I might bring Minx, as she's paused on the MQ to get some more levels before taking on the Five Companions quest. She's a glass noodle stamblade, who needs all the support she can get. I haven't even made her a decent set of equipment, as there's a L34 set of Hunding's in the bank for when she gets that far, and she's 26 now. Still, she might grow into that by Friday if I push her. Should I send her to BG's for a few skills, too?

Edit: She's at 29 now, so 34 by Friday might be ambitious. I'll have to see if there's any more training gear she can use. She already has all the XP scrolls we've collected.
mALX
The only thing I don't like about setting up a Pledge for our Guild Meet is that = group dungeons are for 4 people only. In order to do FG1 at our meet; some of us would have to drop out of the group fun.

We normally have at least 6 come to the meetings; Imho, the meet should be something we can all do as a group for everyone who comes; it is the one time a month we come together to do something as a group. (I mean, that is just my opinion).

I was assuming this was a "if there are exactly four of us" suggestion. Otherwise we'll go bash World Bosses, who don't care about numbers. And four has happened quite a few of the times I've been there (and we still bashed a few bosses, because they deserve it).

I'm still levelling Minx, in the hope of bringing her in Hunding's at 34+. Probably run dolmens tonight to try and level Fighters Guild as well. FG to prep for the other FG?

ETA: We ran dolmens in Alik'r and Auridon. Minx made 34 (and is sick of dolmens) so she has the hand-me-down Hunding's stuff. Blossom crafted her some better daggers, but couldn't take them past blue, because we ran out of Grain Solvent. So she (Blossom) went off on a Blacksmith survey to do something about it. Refined about 300 rubedite without getting any! We did add to the green, blue, and gold tempers, but RNG knows what you need.

Fighters Guild went up a bit from all the Daedra at the dolmens, but she's a long way short of level 10 and Dawnbreaker. We haven't started BG for her, so no Vigor or Caltrops. And she neglected her bow at the dolmens, so that didn't move up at all.
Grits
Jerric is never going to get tired of Fungal Grotto. He has had a lot of fun there!

It’s unlikely that he’ll be there this evening, though. I am waiting to hear back on some things and won’t know until shortly before the guild meeting. If he is guildie #5 he will happily sit out, or just as happily split into two groups (if you can do a pledge with less than 4? I don’t know how that works.) Or do WBs, he never gets tired of those either!
monkeyemoness
Unfortunately, the Hollow Child will not be in attendance tonight, but he wishes everyone the best.

Looks like the Nord will make it. smile.gif

Buffy, Jerric and Trey got together at the appointed time and place and shared the news, some music and drink. By 25 or so past the hour we figured that was it so decided to run Fungal Grotto 1. As we were getting set up just inside the dungeon, Minx (ghastley) was able to join us which flushed our group up to four. The dungeon run went quickly and smoothly.

Jerric then needed to go so the three who remained headed to Stonefalls. At that point, Gosse was able to join us and we quickly dispatched three world bosses in Stonefalls. By that time, Acadian (who’s not good for much more than about an hour of play at a time) needed a break.

Thanks to those who were able to make it and we missed those who were not able to join us. smile.gif
ghastley
A fun run, up to the point where we got dumped out of the Grotto at the end. Minx wasn't returned to Sleek Creek, where she came from, but found herself in the middle of an active dolmen!

The worst part was that her inventory was full, and she couldn't get everything from the chest. tongue.gif
TheCheshireKhajiit
Glad y’all had a good time. Khajiit regrets not being able to attend, but we were busy with getting our Christmas tree and groceries yesterday.
mALX

Yeah, I didn't get home in time for the start of the meet = logged in at 5:30; and everyone was already in FG, lol. I am so glad all the younger characters that didn't run it with Buffy during the Undaunted Event got a chance to do it now; she is excellent at guiding younger players through that place!

So, did anyone get any screenshots of the fun runs? (pics or it didn't happen?) laugh.gif

treydog
Well, Trey fell in the river (twice!) just before the last boss fight in FG.... Probably too much Nereid wine before the battle (Breton courage?).

As he remarked to Jerric afterwards- "Bridges- how do they work?"

But it was enjoyable, especially the Stonefalls WB run- Trey feels that all WBs deserve a good kicking- unfortunately, he ends up dead if he tries to provide said kicking when traveling solo.
Acadian
Guild meeting tomorrow! Buffy will bring her healing staff and Tamikas goblet. Oh, and her lute.
TheCheshireKhajiit
Khajiit is going to try and have a representative from his crew there. As has been the norm lately, this one unfortunately can’t make any promises.
Acadian
We had a fun guild meeting. A nice group showed up pretty quickly - Buffy, Misa (mALX), Jerric (Grits), Jo'zira (Monkey), Unna with new white bear! (ghastley) and Izani (Trey). After some song, dance and wine we went for a fun little run through part of Deeshan, netting two WB, one dolmen and a delve before heading back to the guild hall. Illya (Gosse) then joined us for a nightcap and a bit more song & dance.

I did get a couple screenshots - both at the guild hall. One before we went on our fun run and one after -

Thanks to those who made it, and we missed those unable to attend this one. smile.gif

Uuuuugghhhh. By Ysmir's beard...I totally forgot about the guild meetup. I wanted to make a surprise drop-in and it would've been a whole year to the date that I last logged in to Online (yes, January 5, 2018). I got caught up in work I was doing, but I could've taken a break for an hour to join in. Sorry, guys. Hope everyone is doing well.

Next guild meeting is this Friday (Feb 1). Put on your creative hats and post any ideas for anything we might want to do. smile.gif
ghastley
Remind me of our constraints. I recall that not everyone has ESO+, so some DLC zones are out. I don't have Summerset (but can at least reach the Guildhall, which is a private instance).

We're usually a healer and a bunch of DD's. Should I bring a tank? Neither Laurie nor Cat Man Dhou has much group experience tanking, just slow solo, so if we do that, expect a lot of fumbles. Any of my crew could use Undaunted XP, as nobody's up to the passives yet, so a pledge or two could be good. Even more so if we can pick up a monster helm.

Acadian
The non-DLC pledges that day are Spindleclutch 1 and City of Ash 1. Both are among the easier pledges.

I have all DLC/Chapters.

Buffy can serve as primary healer as a templar, but she can also show up as a magsorc and serve as dps/backup heals if someone else would like to try their hand as our healer.

Britta (mALX) is a main tank of solid skill and experience but I know that mALX can alternatively bring a dps if someone else wants to tank. Like Buffy, Britta is sensitive to not hogging a role if someone else would like to try their hand or simply practice that role.

I've loved the times our guild has been able to try out some of the easier pledges together but our challenge with pledges is that they are built around 4 players and our guild meetings may be attended by less or more than 4. It has worked out before sometimes when we had a perfect foursome but even then, precludes any late shows from joining us in progress. We could consider two simultaneous teams of 3 or 4 each but that could end up being a bit dependent upon our depth in healing and tanking. kvright.gif

I would like to take one of my babies out for either a world boss run or a skyshard run = something like that. Because my babies can't do those types of things solo; so it would be nice to have us do those things as a group for our younger members = just a suggestion.

We could always do the daily Solo Undaunted Pledges and by each of us taking one pledge at a time and sharing it = cover a lot of Undaunted skill line increases with those; and we could do them as a huge group if needed since there is no limits on groups size for the Solo dailies. Each of them gives 10 Undaunted skill points; and if we each pull one quest and share it that can add up very quickly. I've done as many as 12 in one day with a group of friends before; so it really builds up your Undaunted fast.

Another thing we could consider is anyone wanting to bring a new character up through the Fighters Guild skill lines to get the Dawnbreaker = going to a dungeon with undead that respawn rapidly. As a large group we can even bring our babies in and raise them up through the Fighters Guild Skill line very quickly.

I agree with Acadian on not doing the veteran Undaunted pledges as our group meet; because last time the guild did the Pledges for a meet; the latecomers to the meet were excluded from participating.

And any of our members can get together whenever they want to throughout the (months) to do the Pledges. Khajiit and I have done them together with a friend of mine and a pug; so has Acadian and Gosse; Haute and Bear; etc).

We actually could start a weekly sign up sheet for doing the Pledges; see if we can get 4 of us together to do them several times each week; that is how the other guilds I'm a member of do it.

I have a Tank for doing Pledges (and Trials). If you are going for helmets/veteran level = she is experienced in veteran level Pledges; but 99% of the time has been with groups that (at least the Leader knew the boss mechanics and strategies to counter them). In veteran level; you can't DPS your way past the bosses; you have to study your opponents; so it is best to have a group where at least one person has and can give the tricks to get past them.

Khajiit and I got stuck at one boss with a group that not one of us had been in that dungeon before = none of us knew how to pass that boss. It was just one frustrating wipe after another to the point I was ready to just go home; we thought we'd never get past it till the pug got on his phone and googled the boss. It wasn't the only time that happened. It really makes a huge difference to have an experienced Leader for your group; but it is crucial in some of the veteran level dungeons. (example: Mazzatun).

It is very early to start taking donations for the 3 crafting sets (12 tables) that will be coming out in June with Elsweyr; but today Ghastley kicked off the grind for crafting stations by donating three full stations/tables! With the vouchers I have saved up; that gives us our first full set plus 2 tables = a really great start since we have five months to come up with the balance! Awesome! Thanks Ghastley!!!

Acadian
What a pleasant surprise, mALX! I know you are already planning the next round of tables, lol. Way to go, ghastley! How wonderfully generous. smile.gif

Nice Ghastley! Well done!!
Acadian
Sorry it looks like a couple folks won't be able to make it.

I quite like mALX’s idea about undaunted daily delves. They are fast, easy and provide reliable progress in the undaunted skill line. We could group up, do someone’s daily delve, turn it in, someone else gets one, wash, rinse and repeat several times. Buffy (all versions) is max undaunted so she’d be happy to make sure we can easily get to any/all of Bolgrul’s 15 random delves as she has all the nearby appropriate wayshrines.
