Acadian: Perhaps Hrafn is a WereBear? wink.gif

That arrow looks a little bit below her knee, so I don't think Hrafn will be joining Hitler biggrin.gif

You had me laughing my cubs off at the last part! laugh.gif

Grits: I never noticed that the red from Ralof's plate matched the red in Hrafn's wedding dress! Now that was a some nice synergy. Where else would two Stormcloaks propose, but in the sight of Mighty Talos! biggrin.gif It's too bad Heimskr could not have performed the ceremony! That would have been hilarious! laugh.gif

Ja-Ree was not the only civilian wandering around the streets of Solitude. The old guy who says "Being old's not so bad." was there too. In fact, he was standing right behind one of the barricades that Hrafn had to hack down to get to Castle Dour. Naturally she hit him by accident. Then Ulfric tried to arrest Hrafn for assault... panic.gif I just love this game sometimes.

The Wolves of Skyrim

The horny toads sure grow big around these parts...

Move over Ted Nugent, Hrafn is the Whackmaster!

The Dunmer tombs are creepy places.

OMG, I am not caught up yet, but could NOT stop laughing at this vid and had to post this in case I die laughing any second! BWAAAHAAAA!! Awesome vid, I am sick from laughing!

Coming back for the screens, (and to catch up on your story), I hate getting behind this way. <3
Acadian
Beautiful shot of Hrafn Ice-Bear wink.gif with her new metal bear helm, the ice flows and wolf. The wolf looks about as well-fed as some of the coyotes out here in my high desert. Overall, a gorgeous screenshot! happy.gif

Yay, a silt strider! (Don’t tease me if I’m wrong tongue.gif )

Nice shot of Hrafn’s armor, shield, axe and bear helm as she fights that’s that red-eyed dude.

I really like how you can see the scar below our whackmistress’ left eye!

Can she hear the bonz like her crazy ancestor Jayred Ice-Veins (of the Shivering Isles)?
Grits
Wow, that’s a beautiful shot of Hrafn and the ice wolf. That’s not an angle I can manage, so it’s something I’ve never seen before. wub.gif

Aren’t the netches cool? I just love their glowy, floaty, bubbly-noisiness! Can’t say any of my crew has gotten that close to one, though. blink.gif

That’s a great angle with Hrafn’s face and the bear helm in the whack one.

I have to agree about the tombs. I had a very creeped-out moment when Mikke realized where all of that ash came from. ohmy.gif
SubRosa
Acadian: Ice-Bear is such a perfect nickname. Sad to say, those were not silt striders, but rather netches. I have a silt strider in today's batch.

Thankfully Hrafn does not hear the bones talking to her! smile.gif

Grits: I love that pic with the ice wolf too. That one is going to make it into my desktop rotation.

The Dunmer tombs were even more scary in Morrowind. When you walked up to them, you could hear voices whispering all around you. That always creeped me out to no end.

Hrafn found a sister Nord

Hrafn finds a silt strider

I did some experimenting with new characters. Belladonna is a Night Elf

Ivy is a Maomer

The light from the new poison spells I created complement Ivy's skin nicely.
Acadian
Neches, eh? Sounds like something that should have spines like a sea anemone.

Hrafn found another Nord? In Skyrim!?! blink.gif laugh.gif

Yay, a silt strider! Not that I’ve ever seen one in my gaming. embarrased.gif

Belladonna’s outfit must explain the blue skin! Another character who needs a resist frost toe ring from Jerric!

Ivy. I’m green with envy! And you’re right, that poison spell looks great on her! salute.gif
Grits
Is Frea going to follow Hrafn? I think she must have new follower dialog, since she has a unique voice.

Love the silt strider, and that’s such a great view of her. I pretty much lost my mind over Solstheim.

Wow, Night Elves remind me of the violet Dunmer in Oblivion. I like her white tattoos.

Ivy really rocks that Forsworn outfit! It looks great on her! Very nice. Poison spells and the name Ivy along with that headdress somehow fit. biggrin.gif
SubRosa
Acadian: Maybe one day Buffy will decide to visit Morrowind, or Solstheim, and then you will have Silt Striders. They are amazing critters. Belladonna was too cold in that outfit. So I decided to play Ivy instead. Envy and all... wink.gif

Grits: I do not like Frea's voice. It puts me on edge. So I won't be using her as a follower. Not that I really like followers much anyway. I am just too accustomed to what a pain in the rear they are in Oblivion to ever warm up to them.

Solstheim did not do much for me. The weather is all bleah all the time, and the place itself is very small. But the way you cannot sleep unless you complete the main quest is what really bugged me the most. I doubt any of my characters will spend much time there.

Ivy, her green skin, the poison spells, and that Forsworn outfit do all come together nicely. That is why I decided to start playing her for a while. I also noticed that sometimes when she mines ore, you can get a little view down her backside - if the camera is just right.

Ivy puts some poison on an orc

Staff in one hand, healing spell in the other. This was a close fight.

Going for a swim

Here is Asgeir, who will appear in the upcoming Aela Fic

Asgeir is one of those naked Nord types

Elenarie will also appear in the Aela Fic (she was my old character Artemisia)

Elenarie has a different bow than Artemisia did

Finally, I have been spending some time with my old friend Lara (she could put someone's eye out with those!)
Grits
Asgeir is beautiful!! I love his chest tattoo. I’ve been searching on Jerric’s behalf, and I haven’t seen a real one I liked half as much as Asgeir’s. Ugh, and I have seen MANY that I wish I could forget. Oh, and I like Asgeir’s man-panties. tongue.gif

Ivy’s poison spell looks very cool. smile.gif

Upcoming Aela Fic!! How exciting! Artemisia had the genetically altered eyes, and it looks like Elenarie does too. Am I remembering correctly that her armor was a family heirloom?
Acadian
Love the colors you’re using for Ivy and her poison! Dual wielding staff and spell! Very nice loin-kini she’s got. tongue.gif

Asgeir is a hunka hunka burnin’ Nord!

Great to see Elenarie (Artemisia). You’re right, she’s got a big girl bow now!

Speaking of big. . . thanks for the Lara eyes and sharp objects warning! laugh.gif

First off, sorry it took so long to get here.

I didn't know Photobucket was paid, I must be using its free account (and maybe should delete some of my screens then, lol).

Trying to catch up here:

That helmet on Euryale is one scary F'n helmet! GAAAAH! She is pretty without it on though, lol.

Next:

Moon over Dawnstar is absolutely Awesome!

Aw, did she adopt Lucia? With that mask on, it wouldn't be a wonder if Lucia had night terrors, lol. Is that helm enchanted? A mod? Details, if something looks that noticable, I have to know, lol.

Next:

Loved "Whiterun Sunset!"

Really not sure what I'm seeing at all in "Lending a hand to a Spriggan," but kind of loved the screen anyway - sort of like a Picasso, lol. Was the glowing white a sword? What was the pink glowing underneath? And was that a Hagraven? Very cool screen, even if I didn't know what was going on!

What in the living hell is sticking out of the side of Euryale's head in the "Universal Truth" screen? Do I need my glasses prescription changed? Ahhh, Serana! My second favorite female in Skyrim! (and Lydia is NOT the favorite. That title goes to the Jarl of Solitude, Elisif the Fair. If they could put her looks and soft voice together with Serana's dialogue they would have made the perfect woman).

Elisif:

Coming back to finish catching up, have to close out explorer for a minute.

Grits: Asgeir's tats were added by Male Tattoos by Azquirath. His are the new version, #3. His man-panties were added by the mod. I can probably revert them to normal if I delete some of the files that came with it. The big downside I found to it is that it gives the same tattoos to every male in the game. So it is for screenshots only.

Ivy's poison spells have a been a lot of work. There are so many options for the kind of projectiles, the light displayed in the hand when it is prepared, the shader it applies when it hits, the sounds they make, etc... For example, that first pic of her poisoning the orc is using the Spriggan bee attack, with the Peryite worshipper vomit spit impact splash. It took a huge amount of trial and error to find combinations that look right.

Artemisia/Elenarie both have the Khajiit eyes, and the night eye power that goes with them. I took some more time to flesh out her history now that she is Elenarie. Her armor is named Dagorwende "Battle-Maiden", and it is a family heirloom dating back to the Merethic Era. It has been passed down from one woman to another in the family, who have always been of the warrior caste. The helmet was lost during one of the wars against the Maomer. Likewise her bow Meneluva "Skybow" is also an ancient heirloom. She stole both of them when she was exiled from Summerset. Though she sees them as being her birthright.

Acadian: Asgeir is a big hunk of manflesh to be certain! I used Skyrim to make him because it has beards, and full body tattoo mods.

That loin-kini of Ivy's can be even more revealing that we have seen so far. Sometimes when she bends down to do certain things, the wind blows through the canyon... whistling.gif

mALX: Euryale's armor comes from Medusa Drakul armors. The moment I saw that mod, I knew I had to create a character who would wear it.

She did adopt Lucia. My characters have a hard time not adopting her and Sofie, given their sad stories.

That is a dead Hagraven in "Lending a Spriggan a Hand." The hagraven has a ice spike still stuck in her, and the pink glow is from a Weakness to Frost spell.

They did go to a lot of effort to make Elisef look good. I would probably like her a lot more if there was something between her ears though. She just comes off as such a dunce, especially after doing the Bard's Questline and she wants to have the Burning of King Olaf festival every week.

Where did you find BEAR poses? I could probably use a few.
Acadian
Gosh, Ungarion looks so dapper! cool.gif

Love Aela’s outfit (of course) and her critter pals - adorable poses! happy.gif

I also think the smaller staves that both Ungarion and Aela are wielding are great improvements over the towering gnarly tree things in vanilla. tongue.gif
King Coin
It is nice to be back. I'm sorry I have not been able to keep up on your (or anyone's) threads for the past month, I've been so busy with school. But it is all finally done! smile.gif

Ungarion! A surprise to see a male from you!

Like Acadian, I love Aela's outfit. A classic! I too like the unique looking staves.

Okay, more free time to try and catch up:

I’ve got a free account with Photobucket, but am still aggravated by their constant crashes and new layout. They finally fixed the “View as slideshow” feature so it works again.

I didn’t realize it was crossing into their camps that bugged the giants, came trooping in like it was nothing to get a look at a statue made of mammoth bones and had to flee up a steep mountain side. It took forever to kill the giants, I was stuck in a crevice on the facing of a mountain for hours and seriously thought of reloading several times (but was dying to find out what kind of loot a giant may have in its camp or on their person).

QUOTE

D'Eon was a party animal! My inns look more lively because a while back I created a mod for myself that adds more trainers. I put most of them in the inns, so it has the added side effect of making them look busier.

That is Awesome! I would love to know the name of that mod for future reference - love the look of your crowded taverns so much better than the stark (3 men sitting on a bench staring or 2 men doing some weird drinking/dance action ) - really loved the look of your taverns!

I had the same issue with FONV losing the hub a couple times, but can’t remember where it was or what I was doing - had to reload a previous save too.

Now to try and catch up:

And as soon as I saw Euryale’s armor I realized I’d already commented page 37, ROFL !!! Okay, on to page 38:

Oooh, I never found water-walking in Skyrim! How did you do it? Awesome!

I like the Oblivion Aela best, she looks taller and longer haired on Oblivion (like I picture her in my mind). She is one of my favorite of your characters after Teresa.

LOVED “Not Superman’s” - gorgeous place, I don’t think I’ve seen that place in Skyrim! Wait, you are INSIDE Azura’s star? A soul gem? Oh, how very cool! Skyrim seems to like taking the player’s soul away, it seems to be a theme running there! Lol.

LOVE that shot of Azura! These screens have made me want to yank out Skyrim and play the Azura quest now!

Next:

Her game ran out of steam, or the questline was a bit of a letdown. To me, 4 quests to make Arch Mage seemed a bit...precipitous. I had a distinct feeling of dissatisfaction at the end of that questline, like I didn’t do enough to deserve the title.

Oh, love that closeup of Aela’s face and hairstyle - pretty!

“Searching for her mother” - this is my absolute fave, what a fantastic shot that is speaking the title in the expression on her face, in the setting and view she is looking down on - I am so wishing you would do Aela’s story when you finish Teresa’s ... please?

Aela i gorgeous in “Smackdown!”

“Fight for Skyrim’s Freedom” This has to be the ULTIMATE action shot of a glimpse into that battle (one I haven’t done yet). AWESOME shot, one of my all time favorites!

What’s that guy doing on the table? Huh? Gotta love that shot, I don’t know if I’m seeing a drunk Nord dancing on the table or if he is attacking Aela! Love that shot!

Imagine doing an upthrust into someone’s chin with that hilt! WOO HOO!

“Liberating Solitude is hard enough, without Jaree trying to recruit Hrafn to help him plunder a ship!” - SPEW! rollinglaugh.gif rollinglaugh.gif rollinglaugh.gif

Very cool on Hrafn’s marriage! Well, I just learned there is a way to marry Elisif in game, she is def going to be my first test into the marital waters of Skyrim, lol. Maxical hasn’t seen a man in Skyrim she could stand to wake up next to and see first thing in the morning yet, ROFL !!! (well, other than the Psijic priest from the College, but he disappeared). She decided not to marry till some mods came out that made better looking men.

Next:

What the hell is that thing? I’ve never seen one of those in game ... thank goodness! It’s a toad? Urk!

An Ash Spawn? Is this from the new DLC that adds Vvardenfell? AWESOME!

LOVED “Move Over,” ROFL !! Your titles are hilarious, and fitting!

Dunmer tombs? This MUST be DLC !!! GAAAAAH! I see my credit card leaving my purse shortly! Urk!

Next:

“Sister Nord” - LOVE Hrafn’s helm, it looks like a Khajiit head!

Oh, a Silt Strider - is that the horny toads above? Lol.

Belladonna - isn’t that a kind of poison (I ask after seeing a dead contorted body she is walking away from), lol.

What is a Maomer? I like how the same dead body is in the background, lol.

Did she drink the poison? Either way, I love her green glow!

Next:

GAAAAAH! She can cast poison? AWESOME !!!!

Love this next shot, what a fight !!

The “Swim” shot is funny, she is in position but unless you look close you can’t tell she is under water! Your water is a lot clearer than mine in game, is that a mod?

Cyrodiil !!! And another character supporting Aela’s story - I can’t wait !!!! But the day Teresa ends will be a very sad day. sad.gif

LOVE Elenarie’s armor!

Stopping for now, I’m getting slap happy. I will keep catching up, though - Awesome thread !!!

I love the look of that Medusa armor without the helm, it is gorgeous! The helm adds a whole new element, changing it from beautiful armor to “OMG! What the hell is that coming toward me? GAAAAAAH!” - great for psychological warfare against your enemies! I am def keeping the armor in mind, it is gorgeous!

That dead Hagraven shot - that was a study in awesome! I would have never guessed what any of the glowing stuff was, that shot was wild!

I liked that quest, helping the Hagraven, lol.

Well, I have to agree about the weekly festival. Once a year, yes. Once per season - maybe. Once per month - getting ridiculous, but okay. Once per week? “Elisif, do we need to call in the healers?” - but without mods she is the prettiest thing in Skyrim. The vanilla game has all the men filthy and looking like there has been a bit of inbreeding going on. In contrast there was Elisif, looking immaculate and fragile, sweet. Male or female, my character was marrying her if it was possible. (and just found out it is, WOOOOOOT!)

Nice shot of Ungarion! I love that outfit on him!

Now look how intriguing he looks in the first shot, then stick him back in his old clothes and he goes back to looking bored and distracted! How odd is that, how did you get him to change his attitude for that first screen?

I LOVE this Aela, it looks exactly as I picture her. Love this shot with the wolf!

I’ve seen this “Relaxing with the bear” recently, did you post it in your story? Nice pose !!!

Oh yeah, Aela looks mad in this one!

Awesome shots, all - and finally caught up!

I’m sorry it took so long to get caught up, I am drastically out of time lately. It was really nice to find a free minute and fill it with Teresa and Aela!

Wow, I like Ungarion’s adventuring gear! It looks great with his staff.

Whoa, does he have purple eyes? Nice!

I love that shot of Aela with the wolf! The one relaxing with the bear is awesome too. wub.gif

She looks great in her adventuring gear! Quite a contrast to the richly robed Ungarion. Her staff looks great, too, and suits her the way Ungarion’s suits him. Very nice!
SubRosa
ghastley: The bear and other animal poses are from the Na Rae Pose 01 Pack. Most of the poses are silly pinup girl stuff, but a few of them are decent.

Acadian: Aela and Ungarion's staves are from Armamentarium Staffs, though I had to do some recoloring of the bits and pieces to get them the way they are in my game. In fact, what I really did was take the meshes and textures from that mod and create a new mod with the retextures I made, since their staves are both unique.

King Coin: Ungarion is a fic character, so I made him just to get some screenshots for later stories. The old Roadstroker outfit has always been one of my favorites, since it looks very functional and relatively normal.

mALX: Yep, giants are almost always friendly if you meet them outside their camps. It is only if you go into their territory that they get hostile. So my characters tend to walk right up to them when they are just walking around.

I don't really have any special name for my trainer mod. I never released it or anything. It has a bad side effect of making some of the other trainers not work, though I have no idea why. It seems trainers from mods loaded before it often do not work. Or vice versa if I use another mod that adds trainers and load it after. It seems that for some reason multiple trainer mods do not always want to play nicely with one another, though I have never been able to figure out why.

I had a lot of bugs with FONV. I think the animals that were halfway or three-quarters underground was the most common one. Sometimes all I would see of radscorpions were their tails sticking up from the earth, like periscopes. rolleyes.gif

You could see they were really cutting corners with the guild questlines, and trying to make up for it with radiant quests. But the trouble is the way they railroad you down the regular quests. It is like they are jumping on your back screaming "Get it down now!" Taking a break from the main questlines to do radiant quests feels out of character. Then once the regular quests are done, I am left wondering why the ArchMage should be looking for books for the dratted librarian. That's work for an apprentice! I used a mod called Archmage Tolfdir that allows you to make him Archmage at the end of the questline. Though people still call you archmage. You can fix that with these console commands:

player.removefromfaction 103372
player.addtofaction 1F259 4

The Ash Spawn, Dunmer tombs, and so on were from the Dragonborn dlc. It was alright. I did not like the main quest of it. But the island is nice to explore. It does add some nifty new things you can use to create mods with, like a waterwalking effect.

My clear water is from a .ini tweak. Go to your SkyrimPrefs.ini and find this line:
bDoDepthOfField = 1
and change the value from 1 to 0. Then start the game and you should have clear water.

Grits: Ungarion does have purple eyes. A long time ago I added amber, pink, violet, and lavender eyes for the elves. It helps make them look more like... well elves! laugh.gif

She and Ungarion are quite the study in contrasts in may ways. He likes to show off and be noticed, she prefers to blend in with the crowd, etc... That is one of the things that makes them such a great pair.

Not many pictures lately. I have mostly been playing Mechwarrior 2 and MW2: Mercenaries, which don't really lend themselves to screenshots much.

Aela and her crack mercenary team have been defending the Inner Sphere from the Clans.

Aela picked up this neat lantern in a mine added by Unique Landscapes.

Dot has been scavving in the Capital Wasteland
Acadian
I'll add that lantern to Aela's outfit and staff on the list of kewl things she has! I was delighted to find that Elsweyr, the Deserts of Anequina has a 'lighting' vender in Corinthe who sells lanterns, differing colored torches and candles, along with all kinds of light scrolls and such - nothing but light-related stuff. The vender has a stand near the orc who sells critters and the Khajiit who sells nothing but cheese - even Olroy cheese! tongue.gif

In some circles, Dot is a nickname for Dorothy. . . as in "Uh oh, Toto! I don't think we're in Tamriel any more!"
King Coin
Wow, with how boxy everything is, it’s hard to recognize mechs. Is that an Atlas and a Strider? Can Hardly see the one in the back, but maybe a Vulture/Mad Dog?

Love the little lantern, and the elegant staff. I’d download the lantern mods for Skyrim if Aravi would use them! laugh.gif Pointless though for her!

And I wonder if I’ll play Fallout again. It hasn’t aged well on the Xbox. Maybe I’ll have to buy it for the PC.
SubRosa
Acadian: Maybe Aela will go exploring Anequina sometime.

I never really thought of Dot as in Dorothy, but it is perfect for more reasons than just the Wizard of Oz one. I actually got it from the movie A Bug's Life. One of the ant characters was named Dot. Why I went with it will become obvious when you look at today's pics.

King Coin: That's an Atlas, and I think a Catapult. The one in the background is a Flashman. The Atlas is probably my favorite Inner Sphere mech. I just love the classic design, it looks like a robot from the 40s or 50s.

I think FO3 still looks very good. I still like how Oblivion looks as well though.

Dot gets a good night's sleep

Boom!

There is a new superhero in town.

"What's a costumed crusader got to do to get a drink around here?"

"You stop eating picnickers, and I'll bring you sugar bombs..."
Acadian
So Dot's now an 'ANTiheroine' *groan*. Trouble with that buggy headgear is that it covers up her pretty face! Maybe she could ditch the helmet thing and get a heroine cape (with ants on it of course). Oh, and maybe a couple of ant sidekicks? tongue.gif
King Coin
The bears! laugh.gif

Did you use a mini nuke on that brute?

Nice ant costume. That quest was fun. Does that costume make the ants not attack?
SubRosa
Acadian: You might say Dot is Antastic! biggrin.gif Dot has to wear the mask to protect her secret identity! I did try some ant sidekicks in fact, thanks to a mod that lets you revive dead ants if you have the Entomologist perk. But it was just too overpowered with her having an army of giant fire-breathing ants following her around. So I stopped using it.

King Coin: You have to do something with those teddy bears! Most of my characters collect them. Some of them collect pre-war money instead, and either stack that up on the bed, or on the desk in the same room.

That super-mutant explosion was actually nothing more than a humble frag grenade. The game gives you the most incredible looking explosions if you use VATS to throw your grenades.

I am using a mod that I further modded for the Ant Agonizer costume. If you wear both the armor and helmet it makes Ants friendly to you, and also increases your Damage Resistance by about 12 or 15 points. I changed it to make the armor give you a resistance to radiation and poison, which I think the vanilla suit has. Plus I have the helmet a +1 to Per, since a lot of the special hats do that.

The AntAgonizer has something special for Talon Company mercs.

I guess she is now the Top Gun

The AntAgonizer had her first autograph seeker today

The AntAgonizer never lets her loyal supporters down
King Coin
The missile launcher looks so cool, but I was really disappointed in its damage output. Then again, I don’t think I ever had a character specialize in heavy weapons. Small guns were just too easy to find and had much more variety.

Nice Top Gun pic.

I wonder what happens if you give the kid the suit?
Acadian
Antastic! I love it! Oh, okay, the secret identity and all makes sense. Her secret’s safe here on the forum. Any chance of freakin’ laser beams from her. . . oh well, I guess not – that would be jumping the shark, no? Hey, some of those places in DC look familiar! blink.gif

Aww, signing an autograph for only ten caps. tongue.gif

Great pix. Looking at the grass and rocks, I can see why some folks have told me that FO3 is sort of like OB with gunz.
Grits
Ant-astic! rollinglaugh.gif

Fun to see the AntAgonizer at work in her world. smile.gif
SubRosa
King Coin: Few of my characters have ever put enough points into Big Guns to make them really worthwhile. I have tried playing Big Gun characters, but there is never enough ammo for them to base your character around them. So I only use big guns if I find them in loot, shoot them off a few times for the big booms, and then sell them at the first merchant.

I was tempted to give the kid the suit too. I wonder if you actually give it to him, or if it is some kind of way of taunting him? If it happens again and I have time to save first, I'll try it and see what happens.

Acadian: Actually, Dot... erm, the AntAgonizer did pick up the TriBeam Laser off a Super Mutant a while back. She does not use energy weapons though, so it's stashed away back in a locker at her Megaton house.

Fallout 3 is Oblivion with guns! Seriously, it is practically the same game, there is just more shooting and blowing things up. Plus the attitude is more bleak and the morality tends to be more ambiguous. But you can still play a knight in shining powered armor if you want. In fact, it is easier to do in FO3 than it is in Skyrim. You should give it a test spin sometime.

Grits: Playing a super-hero makes FO3 all new again!

The Guardian of the Wasteland

No anesthesia is necessary

On the lookout for evil
King Coin
Shotgun pics: Is that the Terrible Shotgun or is it a run of the mill combat shotgun? Either way, that was one of my favorite guns in that game! biggrin.gif

Mini Nuke: I never used them! I horded the mini nukes, always ‘saving them for an emergency.’ Even when it was an emergency. Like the teddy bear in the cart cage incident.

In the last pic, it took me a little while to figure out she wasn’t missing an arm. wacko.gif

If you ever manage to get Acadian to play Fallout 3, you would need an award or something. tongue.gif
Acadian
Heh, looks like you are having an antastic blast! *groan* And I definitely sense that your tongue is fully engaged in cheek for most of this! biggrin.gif

Poor fellow lost his head. Is the last picture really on the lookout for evil or perhaps seeking unwary picknickers to raid? RAID?!?!?!? ohmy.gif

Great shots of the ant girl!
SubRosa
King Coin: I modded a shotgun for her that I called Thunder. Basically all I did was reduce the spread dramatically, so that you could shoot things from a distance.

I only rarely use the mini nukes, or carry around the Fat Man. But on those rare occasions, it is really fun. It is great for Deathclaw hunting at Old Olney.

Acadian: Sadly, there are not too many picnickers in FO3. The radscorpions tend to get them all. There are lots of RAIDers though...

I tried an experiment with using the Dart Gun. I could not think of a better character to use one than a child, so fired up the Shojo mod. It was rough at first, but works pretty good with a decent Small Guns and once the weapon quality is up around 60.

I made the dart gun specifically for deathclaws! Shoot them in the legs and cripple them. I don't remember it being that powerful though. I usually didn't get it until later in the game when I've had the chance to find all the crap you need for them.

That would be kind of cool to play as a child character, get Dogmeat!

I tried an experiment with using the Dart Gun. I could not think of a better character to use one than a child, so fired up the Shojo mod. It was rough at first, but works pretty good with a decent Small Guns and once the weapon quality is up around 60.
Bastet takes on the Super Duper Mart

Cool video and the Anime mod looks fun. I haven't played FO3 in ages, or Oblivion. Might have to break 'em out of mothballs. cool.gif
Acadian
Bastet looks like a fun little character - and a small target. wink.gif

It seemed like every time she killed a baddie, there was a noise like a cash register putting money in the till. Since I haven't played FO3, I may be confused, but I thought that was very cute, clever & kewl!

She makes a great night guard for a Super Duper Mart - much better than the Lost in Space / 'Danger, danger, Will Robinson!' MechanoRoboGuard! tongue.gif

King Coin: I found the Dart Gun was good when you can make sneak attacks with it. But it is not very good when you are in a furball that you were not expecting, like when you step outside and find Talon Company waiting for you. Nor is it very good against high health enemies, like SuperMutant Masters. It crips their legs, but if they have a minigun you are still going to get chewed up quite a bit. So you really need a second weapon like a .44 Magnum or Shotgun for when things go pear-shaped.

ThatSkyrimGuy: I still love FO3 and Oblivion. In fact, there are a lot of things about them which I prefer over Skyrim. A good game is a good game, no matter how old it is. I played through the original Tomb Raider a little while ago and had a great time, same with Mechwarrior 2 and MW2: Mercenaries.

Acadian: That little dinging sound you hear after people being killed is the game telling you that you just gained experience. If you look in the lower right corner of the screen when you hear it, you will see the XP gain. Its like the drumroll Oblivion makes when a skill goes up.

I love those robots! They are hilarious. They take me back to the good old days of Robbie The Robot. I love turning them loose in places like the subways, and watching them get into fights with Super Mutants or other baddies.

On guard over Little Lamplight

The AntAgonizer spies the Valley of Death - the entrance to Vault 87

It is the most radioactive place in all the Fallout games. No human has ever made it through the door alive.

This vid shows why. Note the radiation counter in the upper right corner. That hissing sound is me constantly hitting the Rad-Away, which I hot-keyed. It lowers her rad level by over a 100 points a pop. Dot's Radiation Resistance is also maxxed out at 85%. So the 500 rads a second she is taking is only 15% of what is actually there (about 3.6k or so)

Still, the AntAgonizer lives on to tackle the other dangers of the Wasteland. In this vid she puts some nuka grenades to good use.

Finally, in this vid she gets a visit from a Talon Company hit squad after exiting the Sniper Shack.
Acadian
Very cool AntAntics!

A mighty ant beats a pair of scorpions! That looked like a pair of large Las Vegas scorpions! Did they escape from NV?

Yikes, a door trap when she comes out of the Sniper Shack! I used to hate door/stair traps in Diablo II when playing the Bowgirl. Dot showed those Talon Companeros not to mess with the AntAngonizer.

I had a lot of bugs with FONV. I think the animals that were halfway or three-quarters underground was the most common one. Sometimes all I would see of radscorpions were their tails sticking up from the earth, like periscopes. rolleyes.gif

I had the same thing with those radscorpions in rocks - that could sting me with their tail somehow, but not be hit with bullets, lol.

QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 21 2013, 08:00 PM) *

That is one of my greatest bugs about the questlines - tied together and forced = railroaded was the perfect word for it. I wanted to do the radiant quests first, so never delivered that stone tablet to Whiterun (meaning I could never own that house, unfortunately because I love Whiterun).

This is a great tip on that mod, I will def use it next time I play. I liked Tofdir as Archmage, did not like getting the title after four quests at all. (and didn't understand why as Archmage it was considered stealing to take the equipment from the library for that Daedric Alter quest).

QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 21 2013, 08:00 PM) *

The Ash Spawn, Dunmer tombs, and so on were from the Dragonborn dlc. It was alright. I did not like the main quest of it. But the island is nice to explore. It does add some nifty new things you can use to create mods with, like a waterwalking effect.

My clear water is from a .ini tweak. Go to your SkyrimPrefs.ini and find this line:
bDoDepthOfField = 1
and change the value from 1 to 0. Then start the game and you should have clear water.

Ooh, thank you for that tip! I loved the water in your screens! On that DLC - I really liked the idea of being able to see Vvardenfell and the Red Mountain, the different architecture in Solstheim more than actually getting into the questline - ROFL !!! I haven't gotten it yet, (and maybe I am misunderstanding the plotline), but didn't get why another Dragonborn would be your adversary - wouldn't you be on the same side? Lol. Oh well.

I am going to start catching up on your screens (and on Teresa), and am so sorry about getting so far behind again. Can't seem to get ahead this year, every time I catch up life kicks my ass again sad.gif

Aela picked up this neat lantern in a mine added by Unique Landscapes.

This is my favorite Aela, she looks exactly as I picture her in the Oblivion gen. I love this shot!

Dot's good night sleep = My Megaton house bed was ALWAYS covered up with the bears! I collected them and that is where they stayed! The desk had all the Lincoln stuff on it, I never sold it. Loved that house, except Mr. Handy was shoved into the spare room and de-programmed, lol.

Wow, what kind of gun blows a Super Mutant Brute up like that? Awesome shot!

The new Superhero - I LOVED that quest (and that armor)! Awesome shot!

The AntAgonizer bellied up to the bar, ROFL! This is SO making me homesick to play Fallout 3!

The Giant Ant Queen - another great quest, and I LOVE that shot! How did Dot make friends with the Queen?

***

ROFL!!! I get tickled every time I see that Antagonizer costume! Love that shot, has to be up among my favorites!

I'm trying to figure out where Top Gun was taken, but regardless I love the shot! (and the play on a movie title)

Autograph seeker - You had me laughing for the first time in weeks with this one - I love it, it goes up on my favorites (A) for the dialogue - one of the things I miss so much about Fallout 3 was the humor in it! and (cool.gif for the look on the kid's face, ROFL!

Lol, "Ant-Tastic!"

***

Guardian of the Wasteland - every time I see that helmet I crack up! Loved this shot!

That was Big Town? Did it survive the nuking? ROFL !! Great shot!

Lol on the headless Super Mutant! I had to reload saves a couple of times on that attack, kept losing people. My idea to mine the bridge didn't work at all, lol.

On the Lookout - another great shot, this is making me so homesick to play!

***

Ah, the radiated entrance to Vault 87! I died a hundred times before getting that radiation suit at the doorway and managing to get out alive! LOVED that challenge! Had to Hot Key Rad-Away and Rad-X and just keep hitting the thing continuously - I only have Fallout 3 on the 360, so had to stock up on supplies, couldn't just console them in, lol. Must have saved anf reloaded that hundreds of times before getting that radiation suit, lol. Was it worth it? Loot Value 3.75 Fun Value = 375.00

I'm coming back to watch those vids, didn't get to them today. Awesome shots, I have loved this glimpse back into the Wasteland - really perked me up, made me miss playing this game. I may have to dust off that 360 and Fallout 3 game and pull it back out and play some after seeing this. Thank you for sharing these, you def gave me a smile with them <3

King Coin
I loved the Nuka Grenades, funny that they were so much more powerful than the frags. Same with the bottlecap mines. Those cherry bombs must have had one hell of a kick if they create mines more powerful than military grade munitions!

I'm surprised those Talon guys needed so many shots to put down!

Is 87 the one you go into for the MQ? I always went the suggested way.
SubRosa
ThatSkyrimGuy: Ha! I infected another! It was Mirocu and Eva talking Fallout that gave me the bug to start playing FO3 again. I am glad to have passed it one to another unsuspecting victim fellow gamer!

So did you kill the Overseer on the way out, or let him live? My characters have gone each way. Its kind of hard not to cap him when you see him torturing Amata... But she get so upset afterward if you do kill him.

Acadian: I think the original radscorpions actually did escape from a secret lab in the Mojave just before the nukes started flying. Or it might have been the molerats. Both are creations of not only massive radiation, but the FEV virus, which is a way of forcing evolution upon the infectee, and never with kind results. Most of the really weird and dangerous creatures in the wasteland are the result of FEV: The Super Mutants, Deathclaws, and so on.

I hate those sudden attacks when you move from one cell to another. It really is not fair. You should have some warning when all you are doing is stepping through a door.

mALX: I had that same problem with trying to kill the underground scorpions in FONV! They could sting me, but my bullets would just hit the ground instead of them. It drove me nuts. The other thing the scorpions would also do is walk around doing handstands on their front feet, with the rest of their bodies sticking up in the air. Like they were Circe Du Soliel Scorpions.

Without giving away too many spoilers of Dragonborn, the baddie is the first Dragonborn, who basically made a deal with a Daedric Prince and went to the dark side. Now he is trying to take over the world, starting with Solstheim. Naturally someone has to stop the guy...

That pic of Aela with the lantern is my favorite one of her as well. Like you said, it is exactly as I have always imagined her.

That was actually a frag grenade that blew up that Super Mutant Brute! They make the most incredible explosions when you use them in VATS. Its also the only way I can hit anything with a grenade.

Top Gun was at Rivet City, just north of the broken bow section. It is right by the Potomac River. There are a bunch of planes that fell off the ship all piled up on the ground there.

So I am not the only one to try the front door of Vault 87! I was actually able to try the door, but you cannot open it! I was so bummed because I died a second later. One of these days I am going to take my Ghoul character Medusa there. She isn't harmed by radiation. In fact, it makes her stronger.

King Coin: I know, its so weird that your homemade bombs are so much better than the ones the army uses! They army should have been using nuka cola and fireworks instead of all that C-4 and Semtex!

I was surprised at how tough those Taloners were too. I expected one headshot apiece would do it. The AntAgonizer can usually put down a Deathclaw with just two shots these days. I guess it is the armor...

Vault 87 is the one in the main quest, where you get the GECK. The way they suggest (through Little Lamplight) really is the only way you can do it. The front door is unopenable (which I found out first hand). Plus the rads are so high that most people die in about a third of a second.

So did you kill the Overseer on the way out, or let him live? My characters have gone each way. Its kind of hard not to cap him when you see him torturing Amata... But she get so upset afterward if you do kill him. - - No, I have never killed him, just because he is Amata's dad.

Loved all the screenies. Question- How do you get your player to lean against something and pose the arms like that?
Acadian
Another antastic collection of shots! I can see now, where Skyrim got its. . . shades of gray. The bleak ambiance suits those games though. I like the MIRV weapon - Multiple Independently targetable Reentry Vehicle Mighty Insect Releasing Venom. laugh.gif
King Coin
Looks like you don’t quite have enough mini nukes for the MIRV! biggrin.gif I used it a few times, but holy cow does it use all the nukes you find.

Yao Gai! I forgot those bear mutants. Those things were really dangerous at low levels. Like a smaller version of the Death Claw.

The rooms in 87 were interesting to walk through, and more than a little chilling.

Turning the Death Claws against the Enclave was always fun. biggrin.gif

I’m guessing that’s Raven Rock heading to the moon in the back of the last pic?
SubRosa
ThatSkyrimGuy: I use Sari D's Pose Pack, which adds some new poses to the game. There are a few other pose mods, and one that just gives you the codes for all the vanilla game.

Acadian: Skyrim inherited a lot of things from FO3. In fact, when I first started playing Skyrim it felt like Fallout with swords, given how much was directly ported. The MIRV is a lot of fun! I wish it was a Venom system!

King Coin: Thankfully Anty has been stashing away most of the mini-nukes she has found. So she has enough for two shots of the MIRV. It is definitely impressive!

That Yao Gai the merchant had was awesome! I walked with them from the Library along the road back toward Megaton. Its crawling with Raiders, and the Yogi just ran out and ripped them apart as we came near.

I think all of the Vaults in FO3 and NV are creepy. The stories of how the people inside were used as experiments is just chilling.

That was Raven Rock at the end! I love turning that Deathclaw loose in there. I noticed that it does not go hostile to you, which certainly helps!

The AntAgonizer has teamed up with another band of Supes to take on the Enclave

The Sisterhood of Steel

Another vid of the final battle inside the Jefferson Memorial

At first glance, ‘Teamed Up’ looks all the world like a band of TES characters inside a Dwemer ruin!

‘Sisterhood’ – Anty looks so tiny inside that armor! The massive pauldrons remind me of bonemold armor.

Liberty Prime is such a cool titanium atronach! And he’s rather a chatty fellow, no?

Inside the Jeff Memorial! That Col Autumn sounds like a character from the set of a Dallas TV episode! Well, he did before Anty killed him. I’ve never seen the ‘end’ of FO3 before – very powerful stuff and nicely done. Reminds me of Spock as the Vulcan sacrificed himself in one of the Star Trek movies while logically professing, “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. . . or the one.” Captured in this 30 second vid clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xa6c3OTr6yA

Acadian: It does kind of look like a Dwemer ruin in there, especially with the big robot in the background.

I never thought of the bonemold similarity, but you are right, they are so alike! I guess that is one more thing that shows the link between the games.

I love listening to Liberty Prime! "Democracy is non negotiable!" "Embrace Democracy, or you will be eradicated!" "Democracy is Truth, Communism is death!"

I loved that scene in Star Trek II! I cried the first time I saw it, way back in the day.

Thanks to the Broken Steel dlc, Anty did not die in the Purifier. Instead she lives on serve the people of the Wasteland, such as by insuring that supplies of purified water are distributed to all.

Not one to let Liberty Prime get all the kills? biggrin.gif

I think if you stay farther away from the robot you get fewer mortars shot at you.

Nice idea with the grenades inside.

I thought they said there was more radiation in the chamber! laugh.gif When I played it took me too long to figure out those numbers were buttons, and then actually selecting the buttons was really difficult on a console.

I didn’t like the DLCs for Fallout very much, they didn’t add a whole lot to the game in my opinion.

I have never seen raiders in power armor either.

I don’t remember well, but how effective is the tesla cannon? I seem to remember it lacking punch.

I liked the vertibird ride. And seeing the Enclave’s base explode was quite fun. I liked stumbling across a satellite station that dropped nukes out in the wastes. I always tried to lure enemies into the area the missiles dropped.
