What a fun paradox Rooftops is as Tsuruhime displays both katana and assault rifle.

Deacon? Who’s that?

Striking from the shadows!

Wow, is that a faint smile I see in the Lopov shot?

Aww, kitty.
SubRosa
Acadian: I put Rooftops into my desktop rotation.

Deacon is an npc who is a major part of The Railroad faction questline. He is a spy, and a pretty cool guy.

Does Tsuruhime need a laser sword to harness the Force?

Up close – Aww. happy.gif

Old guns and young guns.

All the birds lined up!

Sword vs Nuke. Doesn’t much matter his weapon if he doesn’t see his foe. emot-ninja1.gif

Methinks Tsuruhime would be a take no prisoners anchorwoman.

Speed? Not to worry, I’m sure the driver is beary skilled. wink.gif
Acadian
Welcome back to Medusa! I would hope that being olfactory challenged might help make the likely smells in the badlands more tolerable.

A ghoulish grin indeed – no faint smile there!

Yikes! A party crasher!

Iron will and iron suit will win the day, I’d wager.
SubRosa
Acadian: Not having a nose probably would make the Wasteland more palatable. I have a sharper sense of smell that most, and find it difficult enough in the regular world.

I think that grin pic might make it into my Desktop rotation.

Acadian
No meds – Love the bobblegirl with her big gurl gun.

Neat mask! It adds a fun touch.

Face off – I knew what was coming here!

I guess rifle + katana makes a pretty deadly combo.
SubRosa
Acadian: Tsuruhime is a new kind of character for me: A sniper with a melee weapon. Mostly she uses her katana. But sometimes she likes to reach out and touch someone with her Mk14.

The mask is from the the superhero Katana, who was a small influence on Tsuruhime.

Katana II – ah, I see what you mean. Thanks for the info on superheroine Katana I.

Robobrain – Well, that is just a teensy bit of a deer in the headlights look she’s got going on. tongue.gif

Wow, serious lunchbox. I guess superheroines need superlunches!

Beauty – Uh oh, better not let Medusa catch Tsuruhime eyeing her boyfriend. laugh.gif

Aww, Faint Smile. happy.gif
SubRosa
Acadian: Medusa is a much better sniper than Tsuruhime, so that would probably end pretty quickly! ohmy.gif Then again, Maddie would have to see Tsuru first... laugh.gif

Red Hots and Blazing are great action shots.

Iron work – what is that going on with Tsuruhime’s sword blade?

The fog – certainly highlight’s Tsuruhime’s shapely little rump. happy.gif
SubRosa
Acadian: That is not Tsurhime's sword in Iron Work. It is the Shishkebab, a flame-infused sword that you can get as part of a quest. They had the same sword in Fallout 3 and New Vegas as well.

Neat how you have Tsurihime silhouetted in sneaking.

Lights out for the Green Lantern!

How clever is that?!? Giant hermit crab living in a truck-shell.

Finally! I finally got my own national park. tongue.gif
SubRosa
Acadian: I could not resist scuttling across the top of that wall in the sneaking pic.

I thought the hermit crab living in a van 'shell' was brilliant!

No offense, but your park could use a little cleaning up...

Tsuruhime has a new suit of power armor

Acadian
I would be reluctant to travel with Tsuruhime while she's wearing that suit. I'd be afraid of getting asked the proverbial question, "Dos this outfit make my butt look big?" laugh.gif

Oh, when your opponent is wielding a fire hydrant, that just cannot be a good thing!

What an iconic line that 'Gonna need bigger boat' is.

A G-knomey!
SubRosa
Acadian: As long as she is drinking Diet Vim, you shouldn't have to worry about that question... wink.gif

I love the fire hydrant clubs. It looks so weird blocking it with a katana.

Ahah, so Diet Vim is part of how she maintains that girlish figure.

Wow, those ribs looks like something right out of Bedrock that Fred and Barney might eat.

Quite a crowd at the drive in but they don’t look all that lively. . . .

Aww, Tsuru is a great shot.

Heh, I can imagine Admiral Bear and First Mate Tsuruhime barking out ‘Baton down the hatch’.

I love "Naval Battle" = scary to think you could be in water that deep and be attacked!

Oh crap, is that a Deathclaw skeleton? I guess they do get bigger than the one in Concord! Lol.

Is that movie actually playing on that screen or is that a Billboard?

Tsuru is beautiful! Oh! Where is Tsuru in that picture? The windows are immaculate, and the counter is clean !!!!!!!!!!

Ooh, an Easter Egg! Should we look for the "Heart of the Ocean?"

Ooh, another Easter Egg! Did you take the Teddy Bear and hat for your collections?

Really nice shots! I am so enjoying this thread now that I am able to see this stuff in the game!!!

*
SubRosa
Acadian: Diet Vim and Nuka Zero keep her fit and trim... wink.gif

Brontoburgers! I think of that every time I watch a Jurassic Park movie.

You are right, the drive-in theater was kind of dead...

mALX: If you take every suit of power armor you come across, you will need multiple warehouses to store them all in. At one point I deliberately put a suit of armor in every settlement. I was hoping that if there was an attack, one of the settlers would get in and use it. I had read that they would. But they never did. At least not for me.

I think that was supposed to be a whale skeleton that Tsuru was standing beside. You see many of them in Far Harbor.

Tsuru's pic in the room with the clean counters was in the bar in Far Harbor. I forget the name. It is on the dock where you first arrive. It is the only place you can rent a room to sleep.

That is a movie playing on the screen. There are two movies in fact. One is that western, the other is a Creature From the Black Lagoon knock-off. There is a mod that makes them show in the Starlight Cinema in Commonwealth.

I left that teddy bear with his hat and boat. I always leave them when they are placed really brilliantly. The world looks better that way.

Welcome back Persephone!

Love the Bobblegirl with gunz.

Be careful there. I figure you can see the whites of Persephone's eyes from an awfulyl long range.

Lobster on a skewer!

It ain't over till the Fat Man . . . blows up like a Little Boy? laugh.gif

Aww, kitty graveyard.

mALX

Persephone! The "Whites of her eyes" shot is freaky!!!

Ooh, a Fat Man! I haven't found one of those yet! (or a mini-nuke either, unless I have it in the bomb shelter = haven't been there in a while).

The Cemetary pride = are those cats coming up out of the graves? I've got to know more about that screen! laugh.gif

Awesome shots, and really good to see Persephone again!

** I really think that is cool to leave the Easter Egg Teddy Bears where they are! I learned to do that in Fallout 3; the Easter Eggs they set up are never the same if you take them away from their original setup. The miniture alcohol bottles and gnomes on the chessboard grow to normal size the second you take them; and that Teddy with the stockings and naughty nightie = if you take it, all you have when you get home is a plain Teddy Bear and plain nightie; so the whole thing is ruined. I had to reload previous saves to put them back and from that point on = Easter Eggs stayed where they were found.

SubRosa
Acadian: I just can't quite Persephone

Now I am imaging Persephone as one of the three musicians in the classic Yankee Doodle Dandy picture.

mALX: The glowing eyes really make Persephone work.

There is a Fat Man in the old auto scrapyard north east of Sanctuary, with the Sentry Robot you can activate. Just search on top of the old car wrecks.

The cats are not coming out of the graves. They are just cats. You can build cages to catch animals. I typically make them to get cats. Each one gives a bonus to settlement happiness.

Tsuruhime goes on a trip

The friendly natives will entertain her

Did I mention that her sword's name is Karasu (Japanese for Crow)

Nuka Bot

Tsuruhime has a new outfit

Slicing and dicing
mALX

Oh man, do you have to have a mod to add the cats in or are they already in the game? I want to fill Sanctuary with cats! laugh.gif

** Ooh, thank you for the tip on getting a Fat Man! I def plan to get in game and find that place!

Seriously, that screenshot with the cats in the graveyard needs to come out more often; that is one of the best top 10 screens of a lifetime!

What it looks like is that the dead's souls are escaping their graves in the form of cats and all of them moving toward something and the camera just caught the action! You could make a horror movie out of that and sell it to Hollywood! AWESOME AWESOME shot!

*

Oh, does that Monorail actually work? How did she reach it?

Oh it does work!!! Oh no, urgh = Nuka World! Uh oh.

Bwaahaa! Something tells me that greeting wasn't friendly...

And there is her sword! (with his blood on it, rollinglaugh.gif ) I absolutely LOVE that black jacket she is wearing! What is that?

(And I would have thought Japanese for Crow would be Mirocu!)

The Nuka Bot is hilarious! With those big hands it looks like Mickey Mouse on a bad LSD trip or something!!! rollinglaugh.gif

Urgh, what is that? GAAAAAAH!

Wait, did she kill hat Nuka Bot? It looks kind of dead in this shot...but can't tell, it might be waving? LOVE the Nuka Cola Power Armor!!!! Does it have any special stats?

Nuka-tastic; but huge on her!

Ooh, are there Nukalurks? And if so = does their meat have the same Awesome stats they had in FO3?

Awesome shots! I am interested in seeing her trip through Nuka World! Even with the Power Armor as a temptation; it will be a while before I attempt it, lol.

Acadian
What a neat trip to Nukaland on the monorail . . . until it turns into the bullet sword train. wink.gif

Karasu is a wonderful name for her blade.

Nuka Bot is almost as cute as the little M&M dude posing with Tsuruhime in her new big gurl Nuka-armor. tongue.gif

Karasu is getting quite the workout!
SubRosa
mALX: You don't need a mod for the cats. You can create them in your settlements. Go to the Cages section, under small cages are the cat cages. Build one or more and hook it up to power. You have to leave the settlement and come back later to see if you caught a cat.

The monorail does not really work. It is a recorded video, like the intro to Dragonborn, when you go to Solsthiem on the ship.

Tsuruhime wears the Sirius Armor, plus a light Combat Armor chest piece. The latter is painted black thanks to Endor's Custom Combat Armor.

The Nuka Bot is fun. It is the park mascot at Nuka World. Tsuru didn't kill it. It actually gives you a quest.

The Nukalurks do drop Nuka Meat. It is basically the same as the standard Mirelurk meat, just with a better buff.

Acadian: I had to use a lot of Google-Fu to get the name Karasu. I was originally going to look for a more traditional Japanese sword name, but the black color got me thinking of a crow, so I went with that instead.

Nuka World is a lot of fun. It is kind of like the Fallout version of Solstheim. Just with Raiders instead of Dark Elves.

Last sight – ominous indeed! ohmy.gif

Hold your nose – unless you’re Loviatar mebbe methinks. wink.gif

Woot! Movie quotes from John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Doc Holliday Kilmer! I'm very surprised I knew all three.

Very neat action shots in the last two.
mALX

Okay, it was the chest piece I fell in love with. It looked a bit Oriental; maybe because it was black with the white pattern on it = Really nice looking.

Oh cool that the M&M doesn't attack you! I'd hate to kill something that cute!

Is that a Nuka Lurk in "Nosy?" Gaaaaah!

Ah, swimming through rooms of spilled Nuka stuff again! I remember swimming through the Quantum in FO3!

OH! That western looking town with the strip mall of shops is exactly what I was hoping to build in one of my settlements!!! I mean to the letter! Where is that, Nuka world?

the "Men better clean their backs" shot is my fave; great expression on her face!

Awesome shots!!!!

SubRosa
Acadian: Nosy is a Glowing Deathclaw. Similar to the regular Deathclaws, but with twice the caffeine, twice the calories, and twice the carbohydrates. wink.gif

I was also thinking that Loviatar would have loved to frolic in that glowing pool of ick. devilsmile.gif

I am kind of surprised you knew all three of those quotes too, given how movies you watch. I guess I picked from good ones.

mALX: Nosy is a a Glowing Deathclaw. They are like normal Deathclaws, but with glowing scales and lot tougher.

There is a whole river of what looks like Nuka Quantum in the Nuka Bottling Plant. There is a tour that goes though the river on little boats (so I am sure its not real quantum, just colored water).

The Western area is the Dry Rock Gulch park in Nuka World.

What a fun bunch of shots! Blast off is another screensaver-worthy magnificent shot. In Rocket Girl I just love the poses - both the Rocket Girl's as well as Tsurihime as she leans on the wall.
SubRosa
Acadian: Nuka World is a great place for taking pictures, especially the Galactic Zone area.

What a full color palette in Broken Steel!

Quantom Power looks very. . . shiny/new for such an intentionally rusty/harsh setting.

Fallout Daedroth Fightin’!

The inventor of Nuka Cola looks like a cool guy. *groan*

Vim girl looks unhappy!

Heh, I knew what the Night Light screen was going to be.
SubRosa
Acadian: The Broken Steel pic is from a diorama of what is supposed to be an alien planet. So the lighting is all funky, I think to simulate alien suns shining their light down upon it.

The Quantum Armor is sealed away in a locked room. You have to do a fetch quest to retrieve 50 special circuit panels to open it. So it has not had 200 years to get all beaten up like other armor. I am also using a mod that makes it look more spiffy too though... wink.gif

That is a great Daedroth! I had not through of it, it has been so long since I have seen one of those.

The Nuka guy is even better on the rocks...

I would love to have a glowing dog. If it's poop glowed too, that would make it much easier to pick up...

I pretty much did everything there was to do with Tsuruhime, so I rolled a new toon - Herja

My absolute favorite screen here is the Night Light = what a gorgeous sky in that shot! Is that vanilla sky or a mod? It is gorgeous!

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Apr 1 2019, 05:24 PM) *

*snip*
The inventor of Nuka Cola had his head frozen in a jar to become immortal. He only forgot that, he would be a head in a jar forever. Which pretty much sucks. Hard to feel sorry for him when you read a lot of the inter-office mail sent by him though. He was pretty much a dick. My nicer characters kill him to put him out of his misery. The less kind ones leave him to his fate...

These are all parts of the game I haven't seen yet, and I've really dug through the Creation Kit! This quest seems to mirror the Mr. House one, where we have to decide to end him (in various ways depending on our character's disposition) or keep him going? I can't wait to find all this stuff you have been posting the last few times!

Your new Toon is gorgeous, and nice fancy armor! I'd really like to hear more about your "Summer Weather" mod and also wondering if you have modded the green grass in (and with what mod).

LOVE the Lopov shot at the end, really nice!

Awesome Shots!!!!

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Apr 7 2019, 06:57 PM) *

Renee: I think everyone finds things funny in the Fallout games. They have always been written with a certain element of dark humor.

I recently found a mod with options for different seasons in Fallout 4, and decided to experiment with them with Herja. So far I am liking the Summer version best. Spring is nice too, but it has too many flowers. It looks too nice for Fallout! laugh.gif Autumn just looks like the normal game. Winter was too overly brightly white.

Winter Wolf: I do not have any problem with a lack of combat, even with making all the regular animals like dogs and bears friendly. There is always a giant bug or ghoul or raider around the corner.

Most of my characters are nicer. Like Hecate. It is only a few of them like Persephone who are stone cold killers. And Loviatar, who likes to play with her food before eating them.

Oh, so the weather mod actually changes the landscape as well?

And OH! did you make your "Animal Friend" mod for Fallout 4 too? I used to love that mod in Oblivion!!!

Herja is absolutely stunning; I love the shape of her face = most def NOT a "Nora" face! Really nice!

"Walk On" is a really great shot; you can really feel her shaking the sand from her feet as she leaves the screenshot before that one = nice storytelling shot!

SubRosa
Acadian: I thought the same about the Walk On pic. I was trying to recreate one of the ending slides from Fallout 3, where Bethesda shows their version of the Lone Wanderer walking off into the distance. I think my version looks much better.

mALX: Those Blast Off, Independence Day, etc... pics are all from the Nuka World dlc.

The gator on two legs is also from Nuka World. It is a Gatorclaw. Basically a Deathclaw, but developed from a gator.

My night sky is from these three mods:

Moon Size Adjuster = Allows you to make the moon larger. A little bit goes a long way. I went with 1.5x, the smallest increase.

Moon - Beautiful Hi Res Texture = Looks much better than the vanilla moon.

Visible Galaxy 4k = Comes with the stars too. Much better than the vanilla night sky.

The green grass in Herja's game is all from FO4 Seasons.

I don't use any mods to make animals friendly any more. It wound up being too much of a pain. Instead I just use the console to make the specific animal races I want friendly, like dogs and deer.

Oh, these mods are Awesome! The high-res moon textures looked really good; and ... I think I saw that Galaxy one in Skyrim too! I don't care as much about seeing the Galazy, but love the stars it adds! I think the one that had the biggest impact though was the Seasons! I loved the green; but seeing Sanctuary with the snow blanket just blew me away! Whoever did that mod did a fantastic job!

Thanks for the info, I may have to get over my pissed off at Nexus feelings and make a new account.

Using the console to make certain animals friendly? Do you do that by adding your character to their particular faction? And if so, does it hurt you with other factions like the Minutemen? Or if that isn't how it is done, how do you do it?

*

Oh, her costume is lighting up! That is Awesome! Does the helm protect from rads or just look like it does? I do like the look of it, lol.

Down the Barrel is a great shot, it looks like something you'd see on a book cover!

Oh, this is wonderful! Thank you so much!

So I write my Player character's ID first (and mine will be the same?)

Then I put the faction I want to set as an ally in the carrot marks? Or just put that ID number there without the carrot marks?

And at the end, is it a 1 (then a space) then another 1 as in one of the ones is to say "do it" and the other is the level or stage or level of how much the ally likes you? (like where 1 is just an ally and 4 would be wub.gif or something? )

I used to know all this stuff; I'm really lost in the console commands any more. I really appreciate this, I will def test it out! Too bad we can't set Settlements as allies with the spawning enemies, lol.

Put it just like this:
setally 1c21c <faction id> 1 1

Thank you so much!!!

Acadian: Thankfully Herja does not have to wear that new helmet too often. Only in irradiated areas.

I never said Herja was very good at being sneaky! laugh.gif

mALX: The helmet is just the vanilla flight helmet, with a texture replacer to make it look better. I also modded it to increase the radiation resistance. That creates a reason to actually wear it.

The cat is vanilla, but also using another texture replacer. The original cats are all gray in color. I forget where I found the gold colored mod.

Iron and Steel

She used to be an adventurer like you...

Those Robbie’s are cool the way they look ‘well-used’.

Haha – then she took a fist to the knee! Beautiful sky in that pic.

Toss a couple ghouls is a wonderful action shot!

Skellies. Sigh, I guess every game has ‘em. tongue.gif

I do love the gold color on that cat in the last post, that was most def worth the mod!

Iron and Steel looks like the type of place I would love to explore, kind of like some of the Fallout 3 plants; lol.

Holy Cow, is that Paladin Danse she is beating up?

Ghouls = is that a molatav cocktail? And - can they kill an enemy? Do they work okay for crowd control or are they just kind of for show like the Experimental Fat Man in Fallout 3 was?

Man, that Robo Skellie is one weird looking enemy!

Great shots!!!

Acadian: The protectrons are my favorite Fallout robots.

It wouldn't be an RPG if there were no skeletons!

mALX: Iron and Steel is from the Saugus Ironworks. Check it out, but wear something fireproof.

She is fighting a Raider Boss in Power Armor.

That was a molotov cocktail burning up the feral ghouls. I love the smell of vodka in the morning...

The robo-skeleton is an Institute Synth, one of the low-level models.

I decided to go back to play Victoria for a bit

Let's put a smile on that face

This iteration of Victoria is packing Kraut Space Magic (an H&K G11)

Welcome back to Victoria! goodjob.gif

No faint smile there! happy.gif

She’s got a big gurl gun. . . and she knows how to use it. Just ask any of those big dudes with the bad manicures. ohmy.gif

Acadian: Sadly I got frustrated with Victoria after I got frustrated with the new sailboat home I created for her. I kept having problem with it. So I decided to catch up with an old pal instead.

He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a Dark Knight.

Close up

Old Ironsides

I also spent some time with an old friend

Keep watching the skies!

I hope you will forgive this old paladin who only has one character to keep track of when you have so many. Though these characters are very familiar, I can't keep all the names straight without a bit of help as you post. tongue.gif

These shots are very atmospheric and well composed – nicely done!

‘Old friend’ almost looks like she landed in Skyrim!
