“There are no Forsworn here,” lol. Arduina looks great in that armor! Most characters just look silly.

Yikes, Melka. I find her to be so interesting.

I love how the Elven armor looks on Arduina. It’s gorgeous and I’ve had very few characters wear it. Arduina has a versatile look.

Morigu! Wow, she’s hot. It took a little digging to find her name. Another inspiring choice!

A forsworn Forsworn is such a great concept. She can embrace her daedric heritage and the game’s distinctive Forsworn fighting style without the spriggan slaughtering and goat decapitations. Awesome.

Is that Druadach Redoubt? That’s the only spot I’ve been able to use for Forsworn business due to vanilla limitations. Morigu’s flame atronach makes me think she might have cleared it of Forsworn rather than moving in with the locals.

Great idea to befriend the orcs. Morigu would have few allies in the Reach without them. Ainethach is another great choice since he gripes (legitimately) about Nords and the Forsworn.

I like her new facepaint. It is very grim.

What a pile of bodies!

Ah, so that’s what Morigu’s hair looks like. Nice. Those Markarth guards, lol.

SubRosa
Acadian: Tbh, The Reach is one of my least favorite areas in the game. It is all so bleak and brooding, even the trees look stunted and twisted. I prefer the bright snow and ice of the northern part, and the warm lakes in the south.

One of the main reasons I made Morigu a forsworn Forsworn is that if I put her in the Forsworn faction, there would be no one for her to fight in the Reach! laugh.gif Seriously, I think 70% of all the baddies there are Forsworn. It's hard to find even an honest bandit.

King Coin: You can get on the waterwheel by jumping down from above. If you leave Understone Keep, go out to the walkway and turn right. That will take to the waterfall directly overhead of the smithy. Just take a running jump from there, and you will and on the smithy roof. The wheel does turn, so you have walk forward to offset it. Walking speed is almost exactly perfect to keep up.

Morigu is a Breton. Like you said, what else could a Forsworn be? Though there is one Forsworn Orc in Cidhna Mine.

It is funny you mentioned scrolls, because Morigu got that Storm Astronaut from a scroll she found in her first dungeon. It is a good thing too, because I don't think she could have killed the Hagraven without it.

I usually don't change my character's appearance much after get it down to how I want it. Like you said, when you do the Showracemenu command it wipes out all your color choices. But Morigu's are simple. I just have to reset the eye shadow, liner, and tint to the far right (darkest), and her lips to the far right. So I can put her back to normal pretty quickly.

Grits: I have noticed over the years that most of my characters just look ridiculous in the Forsworn 'Armor' as well. Like Persehpone, or D'Eon did. I was surprised at how well Arduina looked in it. That is one of the things that prompted me to try Morigu.

I have always loved the elven armor in Skyrim. They really got that one right. Best thing, no bird feet like in Oblivion! laugh.gif It is funny because lately my characters are going to a lot of vanilla armors and weapons. Persephone went with a plain steel sword. Arduina moved from Furs and Hide, to Scaled, to Elven, and only wore the Triss outfit a few times in town. Morigu is pure vanilla, with Forsworn gear, and now a Daedric-looking sword.

I think that map was in Druadach Redoubt. That was one of the early places Morigu cleared out. It was part of a quest I think, for the Foregemaster's Fingers IIRC. Morigu definitely did not move in and play nice with the locals! She has trouble doing that with the other children.

Her new facepaint is actually a Redguard war paint (I think). You can see a few days ago I post I made about how to enable war paints. I originally wanted to give her a Forsworn facepaint. Once I figured it out, I added them from all the races. When I was looking through them, I wasn't that thrilled with the Forsworn ones, but loved the Redguard ones.

Morigu is using one of the Ponytail Hairstyles. Ever since installing that mod I have not been able resist using the new hairs from it. Maybe Persephone will even be sporting a pony the next time I play her!

Speaking of those Markarth Guards, Morigu smites a few at the end of Cidhna Mine, along with the Forsworn

I really like the forest green surcoat of the Markarth guards. Morigu’s delivering some forswearing to that guy!

You did a really nice job with Read Eagle’s Vengeance. I haven’t done that quest, nor the Cidna Mine stuff.

Wow, that ‘in the dark’ shot of Morigu is scary! Her face paint is so appropriate. ohmy.gif

Is she killing the Companions? Oh, another one of those wonderful bright Viking shields. smile.gif

What a great action shot killing that SilverDude. The magical swirlies around Morigu are cool.

I’ll bet the sight of Morigu standing there in her furkini gave the bard plenty to sing about! wink.gif
King Coin
Smite: That is a great capture. Her pose is perfect. Either she’s about to run him through, or she’s pushing him off her sword with her shield.

Aravi has never had a daedric sword before… maybe she will when I download your mod!

Looks like the companions picked a fight with the wrong person.

I remember Aravi killed Thonar as well. That was the first time she killed a ‘non-combatant’ on purpose.

Aravi’s been running into that ‘rockstar’ a lot in her game.
Grits
Smites is awesome! It makes me think of the guard’s body bouncing down some steps. What a great shot!

Morigu looks quite fearsome with Red Eagle’s Vengeance in her hand. I love your version of that blade.

OK, she looks quite fearsome all of the time especially in the dark. That looks like the Abandoned House in Markarth. Many happy/creepy hours with Njall there.

Slaying the Companions!! I’ve heard that sometimes people get in trouble with them because they’re in the Whiterun Guard faction. But I guess they probably did something to get in trouble with Morigu!

How satisfying to stick Vengeance into Thonar’s chest. The red effect looks awesome.

Rock star, nice. I hope Talsgar didn’t piss of Morigu!

By the way, you’re making me roll a Forsworn toon to pillage the Reach with. Just so you know. tongue.gif

Acadian: I think my favorite guard uniforms are the Solitude red and Falkreath blue with the deer's head insignia. I really like the bronze scales on the Riften guards, but the purple just doesn't do it for me.

It took a long time for me to get to the Cihdna Mine quest. It really is not a good one to do with an archer, unless you have the Bound Bow spell (which thankfully SkyBuff has). Markarth is my least favorite city in the game, because of the ugly doings that are unearthed by doing that quest.

That in the dark pic was just begging to be taken, given the lighting in that place, and her face paint. It really brings out her inner killer.

King Coin: I was hoping to get a good pic of Morigu killing Madanach, but none of them came out good. I think that might be his corpse in the background of Smiting though. That pic did come out just right.

This is the first time I have ever had a character who used a Daedric sword too! The Daedric stuff doesn't fit the themes of most of my characters. My archer assassin Ereshkigal was the only one character who used one, a bow in her case. It fit her red and black colors perfectly.

Thonar really has it coming. Most of my other characters who have done Cihdna Mine were just too 'good' to assassinate someone. But Morigu is not hampered by a conscience. Or at least she has not noticed it yet.

I see Talsgar a lot in my games. He is one of my favorite NPCs. Most of my characters stop him and pay for a song. I just wish there were more to choose from for him to sing. I keep looking for mods to add more, but no one has ever made any.

Grits: I had almost a dozen pics of that battle at the end of the mine. Smites is the only one that turned out decent. That is how it typically goes. For every pic I post, there are about ten or so I delete.

Thanks for another vote for the Daedric version of Red Eagle's sword. When I made the mod, I was not sure what kind of sword I was going to use. I just wanted something that was not Nordic. When I looked through the vanilla swords and saw the Daedric, it was like Darth Vader seeing the power generators at the beginning of Empire Strikes Back. "That's it!"

That is the Abandoned House in Markarth indeed! Morigu is the only character of mine to ever complete that quest. Not that she has any use for a mace.

I am not sure what happened with Morigu and the Companions. When she first saw them, they were beating up on a grizzly, and some of them were taking a knee. She got her bow out and was going to kill them, as that is often her first reaction upon seeing anyone when out in the wilderness, with no prying eyes around to tattle to the guards. But she decided they were not worth the arrows, and put her bow away. Then they finished the bear, and immediately came after her. At that point, it was on.

If Talsgar had not been a rock star, Morigu would have killed him. Him being a Nord and all. But hey, he's a singer, and she is a girl after all. Even a stone cold killer can get stars in her eyes... wink.gif

The more Forsworn the better! There are some mods out there with Forsworn questlines, that let you really be a member of the Forsworn Faction and sack Markarth. But that just never appealed to me. As much as I dislike Markarth, the Forsworn camps are even more disgusting. Besides, if you are on the Forsworn side, who is there to fight in the Reach?

"The hills are alive with the sound of music!"

This is what happens when they broadcast Nascar in Skyrim

Morigu is not worthy!?!

We'll see if Mehrunes Dagon thinks she is worthy

Silas has out-lived his usefulness

Morigu proves her worthiness
King Coin
Aravi isn’t the assassin type either, but by the nine she was mad at him. I agree with you on needing more music too!

Great caption for the first one. laugh.gif

I really want to get Aravi through that door. The only way is to talk to that kid though. Not really something she’s going to do.

Oh I haven’t found all the pieces of the dagger yet either. I have a feeling someone’s blood will be spilled soon. Not hers.

Wow is that a dremora? And she popped the top off like a cork!
Acadian
Love the shot of Julie Andrews singing! Morigu doesn’t look too impressed though. biggrin.gif

Nascar – those guys just all need a beer in their hand. laugh.gif

Not worthy?!? I bet Morigu could teach those wannabeassassins a thing or two! ohmy.gif

Here, let me try out this nifty new dagger on your neck. . .

. . . and it works on Dremora as well! devilsmile.gif

You have a pretty good knack of making darker type characters (Persephone and Morigu for example) still seem rather lovable – in their own way of course. wink.gif
Grits
Morigu does not look thrilled with Carlotta, lol. I guess not every singer is a rock star. tongue.gif

Nascar, omg I spit tea. rollinglaugh.gif

Morigu looks like that door was made for her! Does it say you’re not worthy if you don’t know the password?

Yikes, I could almost feel sorry for that idiot Silus, but not quite.

Whoa, heads were rolling at the Dagon shrine! The sky made a beautiful backdrop for all of the red-themed violence. I like how the Forsworn leggings look with fur armor.
SubRosa
King Coin: There might be some mods out there to skip killing Grelod to kick off the DB questline. Or you might just use the console to automagically skip through the questline up to the point where you can go in and clean 'em out. I did that with the Dragonborn DLC, to get that Miraak business out of the way and make the beds in Solstheim sleepable again.

That last decapitated guy was a Dremora indeed. They look really good in Skyrim. Or at least their armor does. I never did get a good look at their actual faces! laugh.gif

Acadian: I guess Morigu is not into musicals. wink.gif She is lovable in her own way? I will have to work on that! laugh.gif Seriously though, without a little humor I do not think I would much like playing a really nasty character. Persephone at least is not bad. She's just drawn that way. Morigu is bad!.

Grits: It does say "You... Are Not... Worthy!" if you do not know the password (i.e. have not done the DB questline up to that point). It makes me think of Spike "Someone Wasn't Worthy..."

I can never feel sorry for Silus. Like you said, he is such a moron. Of course Dagon is going to kill you, you idiot. Except for a few like Azura, that is what all the Daedra Lords do in the end.

Red Dance

Here is something I do not think I have ever seen before

Putting Mehrunes Razor to work
Acadian
Wow, Red Dance is such a fabulous action shot!

Oh I agree on the black robe – I’ve never seen a squishy robed mage with a shield. Especially noticeable when he’s carrying one of your mod-added bright and colorful Viking ones!

Eeep! Morigu’s got a blade and she knows how to use it. ohmy.gif
ghastley
Did I really count eight arrows sticking through the guy who still needed the attentions of Mehrune's Razor? It never seem to need that many to kill the player. ohmy.gif There's also the annoyance that enemies appear to be able to shoot through their allies without harming them. And don't get me going on mages' infinite reserves!

One thing Bethesda did do well in Skyrim was to make combat produce good-looking screenshots, even if it does feel fake at the time. "Now everyone pose for the kill camera, please." Of course, some characters pose better than others, and you do consistently produce those.

Grits
Red Dance has to go in the Rosa action shot Hall of Fame. What an awesome picture!

I’ve seen a shield mage encounter before but unlike your guy he had a boring shield. I have to agree that it’s odd looking. Jerric wears a college robe with shield on the road in his PS3 game, but he wears armored boots and gauntlets with it. He does that for comfort and because we went overboard with Smithing and Heavy Armor perks. I doubt that’s what the hostile Altmer was thinking!

And now the Old Hroldan Inn belongs to the skeevers. I thought those were arrows at first, but I think it’s flying blood. That is a particularly vicious and great looking stab! biggrin.gif
SubRosa
Acadian: That viking shield is actually the steel shield. I just changed the mesh and texture. But the stats, leveled lists it is used in, and so on are all vanilla. That is what was weirdest about seeing that mage with it. I suppose he might have picked it up from a dead body. But I don't think there were any around where he attacked me.

ghastley: Those are blood spatters around the guy being stabbed with Mehrunes Razor. Though I have had to put dozens of arrows into some people before killing them!

It isn't as easy for me to get good pics as it might look. For every one I post up here, there are usually almost ten I delete.

Grits: It sounds like Jerric's outfit is the same as the Vigilants! They wear college robes and heavy armor boots and gauntlets too!

That murder was indeed in the Old Hroldan Inn. The inkeeper bragged about the Tiber Septim room. Which in retrospect was a poor thing to say to even a forsworn Forsworn like Morigu.

Just a few pics this time. I have been playing Baldur's Gate 1: Enhanced Edition these days. The isometric view and 2d sprites do not lend themselves to very good screenshots.

My first character Terra

My second character Scáthach (You can tell she's evil, look at her outfit! laugh.gif)

A fairly long vid of Scáthach's team in action. This was a particularly tough fight. It is a little dark, but I tried to lighten it. It can also be a little hard to see, as things are all so small. That unfortunately is just a byproduct of it being an old game, with a low resolution. I have it cranked up to as high a resolution as possible, but it is still nowhere near the 1920 X 1080 you get in modern games. Still, it gives you an idea of what the gameplay is like. Though you cannot see the mouse for some reason.
King Coin
Wow those are some awesome action shots! Red dance is an instant favorite!

I don't think I have ever seen NPC mages with shields before either.

I wonder if I should try Aravi with dual daggers? The only thing I would need to do is replace that slow dual power attack with a faster animation.

Scáthach is a hottie! I don't care that she's evil. biggrin.gif And I have no idea what any of those stats mean.

I'll have to check on the video at another time.
Acadian
Oh, I remember that cute little Terra elf portrait. Scathach looks much more dangerous however.

I smiled all the way through the vid! Yup, that’s Baldur’s Gate, in all its ‘turn-based’ glory. I actually enjoyed the ‘pausing and issuing orders every few seconds’ style the game encouraged because it favored the reflective thinker instead of the fast clicker. wink.gif
King Coin
BGI looks almost like an RTS.

“You’re a queer fellow!” biggrin.gif

You are right though, it is kind of hard to see what’s going on.
SubRosa
King Coin: There is mod that replaces the dual-dagger power attack with a faster version. I used it with Eris. I found that a Bound Dagger worked perfectly with another, earthly (Nirnly?) blade. You hotkey the regular dagger, and it automatically draws into your right hand. When you hotkey the Bound Dagger spell, it automatically goes into your left hand, and if I recall it summons there. So it is really easy to manage. I was using a mod for the Bound Dagger, but now they have a vanilla version of it somewhere in Solstheim. I think the Dunmer sorcerer in Tel Mithryn or his apprentice sell it.

Mehrunes Razor (again modded to be more useful) and a Bound Dagger were all kinds of awesome for Eris. I combined that with some heavy stealth. She would sneak attack and kill most folks with one shot. She was Riddick, but better looking. Well, slightly.

Count yourself lucky that you never played Dungeons and Dragons, otherwise you would know more about Armor Classes and Saving Throws, and Thaco than you would like!

Acadian: Scathath was a lot of fun to play. But I can only play an evil character for so long, and eventually it wore on me.

Baldur's Gate has been a lot of fun, and a walk down memory lane. The gameplay is so much like that of the early Fallout Games and Diablo, that it takes me back to those days. I like those games for the same reason you did. They were more about tactics and thinking than having a quick mouse finger.

I rolled another toon for Baldur's Gate, a Drow Fighter/Cleric named Tuonetar

I decided to import Tuonetar into Skyrim. Naturally I am looking over what she will wear.

Tuonetar in Witchplate Armor

Eisen Platte Black

Nightengale

The purple retex of the Triss Outfit has a lock on her town clothes
Acadian
Toon-Eater! biggrin.gif

A fighter/cleric should be fun. Hmm, let’s see about her duds. . .

Witchplate looks pretty good. I like that the top looks sort of like vanilla steel.
The Eisen stuff will always say Chevalier d'Eon to me. happy.gif
Nightingale seems a bit. . . shapeless. Having a cape is always nice though.
The Purple Triss looks very nice (of course).

If she’s a fighter/cleric, would she look good borrowing the style of the Vigilantes of Stendaar? You know, mantled robes with armored boots and gauntlets? And maybe a mace? What about ranged attacks – magic or maybe a crossbow?
Grits
Oh my gosh, I love Tuonetar’s look! The Witchplate is my favorite for her. The steel looks awesome with her skin tone, and I’ve always admired the Witchplate on elven women. In my games some of the Vigilant chicks wear it, so it looks especially nice to me for a fighter/cleric.

Wow, the purple Triss is perfect with her coloring. She looks fabulous!
SubRosa
Acadian: She might eat some toons just yet! I know that Tuonetar is a necromancer (it's all in the name after all). I even worked on my Undead Summoning mod today to add a whole slew of new Conjured Skeletons like we had back in Oblivion. I am not sure about who/what she worships though. One of the Daedra for certain, but I am not sure which one. Maybe the Three Reclamations? That would be in line with current events in Morrowind.

I have not seen a morningstar or flail, so I am going with a mace for Tuonetar. Though I suppose I could look through the Nexus for the other two. She will use lightning for ranged attacks. But mainly she will be a conjurer. She might eschew Destruction altogether and instead conjure a Skeleton Archer for all her ranged needs.

I might also make the Vigilants hostile to her, like I originally did with Persephone. Tuonetar is a necrowomancer after all.

Grits: The Witchplate was my favorite as well. The glowy runes are the big selling point.

I have Tuonetar mostly settled, and have even officially moved her into the gameworld at the border between Riften and Morrowind. I only have one thing left to decide: hair color. The BG version of Tuonetar has white hair. So I modded that color into the Dunmer, and took a few pics to compare.

Black Hair

White Hair

I find that for once I am actually leaning toward the black hair. It gives her a darker, more mysterious look. The White hair makes her seems younger, almost Cyndi Lauperish.

I, too, am leaning toward the black hair myself. Sometimes white hair makes one look older, other times it just makes one look like one is trying too hard (to be grown up).
Acadian
I looked up Tuonetar's name and, as usual, you have picked an appropriate name for her. Given that, I looked at her hair.

I like the style - it looks like a high ponytail. However, in white it seems to imply more 'goodness' than you intend for rather a dark character. As such, I think it works much better in black. That is, both the style and color work well for her in black. If you're dead set on white, then you might consider a less 'girlie' and more severe style. Just my two septims. smile.gif
Grits
I’m another fan of the black hair for Tuonetar. Excellent shield and cape! smile.gif
Acadian
Welcome to SkyToon! tongue.gif

I see she can summon Slim. I presume that with experience she will graduate to Bones, then perhaps to the Darryl brothers?

Cool idea for a ranged weapon!

She looks great in her purple-hued Triss outfit. happy.gif

Aww, extending a hand to a fellow elf.

I gather you’re playing Tuonetar in both BG and Skyrim now? Sounds like fun, and I like how you’ve enabled her to summon undead instead of just reanimating things (which is also neat). I can trace Buffy back to Diablo II, then through BG II, a brief but unhappy expedition into Dragon Age Origins (no-melee archer = Epic Fail), Oblivion and now Skyrim.
SubRosa
I worked up a bunch of new summoned skellies for Tuonetar to play with. I started with the new Skeleton Archer and Skeleton Guardians you saw in that last bunch of pics. I was inspired by Oblivion, and also created a Skeleton Hero packing a battle axe, and finally a Skeleton Champion who has a greatsword, and can summon a Skeleton Guardian.

I tried making a version of Dunmer Skeleton that would use elven weapons and bonemold shields, but they just won't equip the shields. They have them in their inventory. I used a cheat code that lets you look in any NPCs inventory to verify the bonemold shields are there. But they just won't use them. The same with elven shields. It is too bad, because I was thinking that Tuonetar would be summoning the spirits of her ancestors. But I don't think they used ancient Nordic weapons and current Nordic shields!

I was going to use the Tribunal Robes I found in the Dragonborn dlc. There are a couple of Dunmer priests in Raven Rock that wear them. But after my failure at making Dunmer skeletons was epic, I decided that Tuonetar was instead a rogue cleric. She's been driven out of Morrowind for the crime of necromancy, one step ahead of the Ordinators (or whoever hunts down heretics and evildoers now). So now it also makes more sense that she's summoning human skeletons of dead Nords to serve her, rather than her ancestors.

Only one pic this time, as I have been mostly playing BG1EE.

Neera rips loose with a Color Spray
Acadian
Heh, more bones for SkyToon to play with! biggrin.gif

BG looks wonderful on your puter! The colors are beautiful and the game really holds up well (with some EE help) it seems. smile.gif
Grits
I love Tuonetar’s new skellies! It’s great to have a ranged attack option with the classic summoned bones look. Do you think you might make an update for your Undead Summoning mod? hehe.gif

A rogue cleric on the run, excellent! How funny that the first person to “greet” her in Skyrim was a hostile Argonian. Nice touch of racial tension.

Tuonetar looks great in her city outfit. It has that non-Skyrim flair that works well for a Morrowind native. Fabulous ponytail! Love it!

That color spray looks really neat. I think I would enjoy the pace of the BG games.
SubRosa
Acadian: Even for an old game, the Enhanced Editions are looking really good. I am so glad I bought them.

Grits: I do plan on releasing the Skeleton Array in a new version of Undead Summoning. But I want to spend some time play-testing all of the new Skellies before I upload it. Would you like to be a playtester?

I thought it was hilarious that the very first person she saw in Skyim was an Argonian! Talk about irony. Tuonetar didn't need an prompting to kill that guy!

The BG Enhanced Editions have been a lot of fun. It plays a lot like Fallout 1 &2, and Fallout Tactics. It is basically a turn-based game, even though you do not see it stop for each turn. It all just flows seamlessly unless you pause, which I do a lot. They are definitely a lot less hectic in pace than Skyrim. They have been well worth the money I spent on them.

Persephone was long overdue for some R&R, so she played the front nine at Skeleton Coast

A birdie on the first hole!

Eris is better looking than Riddick. biggrin.gif

Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve visited. Things have been… weird lately.

Tuonetar looks nice. I have no idea what any of those DnD numbers mean though!

I love her Skyrim look. I vote the steel armor with some cool script around the edges.
If Tuonetar is a necromancer, you might like this mod: Corpse Preparation

I am a fan of the black hair too.

She summons a weapon, and a minion to hold it for her. biggrin.gif

The Triss outfit looks too ‘good’ for herin my opinion. I like my necromancers in something that screams “I’m Evil!”

That greeting looks kind of like… “Hello morsel…”

I read somewhere that skeletons and draugr can only equip iron shields. Unfortunate. I bet with a lot of work you could get them to equip others, but I don’t think it would be worth the amount of work.
Acadian
I'm so glad you're enjoying the BG saga in all its EE glory! I did play through Icewind Dale once; it was okay. I never (dunno why) touched NWN. It is probably just me, but some of the Skyrim dungeons remind me of BG in their rich, loving detail and even sometimes the isolated creepy strands of music that you hear.

Anyway, glad to see Purse Phone taking a break to knock some little white skulls around the graveyard! I presume Darryl was her caddy?

Speaking of Darryl, every time Buffy gets a kill cam on a draugr and sees the blue color streaming out of their eyes as they are propelled back by the power of her bow, I remember how cool I thought that was when I very first saw it in in your vids/screens. wink.gif

Oh yes, please! I would also love to have Aela teach her Absorb Health spell to Abiene plus your Deadwalker Race for my future awesome dead chick. Thank you so much! Yay!!

It’s really neat to have non-Nord/draugr remains for a non-Nord necromancer to summon. (A note from Darnand: “I am not a necromancer.”)

Also once Abiene got in touch with her Breton witch self and started summoning her sabre cat familiar from your Nature Summoning I renamed the hostile “witch” mages, inspired by your Witches to Cultists mod.

Persephone on the Skeleton Coast, that’s great! I’ve spent a lot of time off the 16th fairway at Harbor Town Links. I wonder if you can see the house in the game. laugh.gif
SubRosa
King Coin: Thank you! You just gave me the clue I needed to figure out why my Skeletons would not equip the other shields. Now I can go and make some elven skellies.

If I do, I might do some changing to Tuonetar's background, and have her wear the Reclamations Robe instead of the Purple Triss.

I remember the corpse preparation mod. Thanks for linking to it. I am not sure if Tuonetar wants to have an army of permanent servants though.

Acadian: Darryl would have to be PursePhone's caddy. Or maybe his brother Darryl. wink.gif It has been a lot of fun playing Links again, after so many years.

Grits: I got a little tired of how the game throws around the word Witch for every evil spellcaster. I wonder how people would have felt if Bethesda had named them Christians instead?

Harbor Town is one of my favorite courses! I like the wide fairways, the water, and the short holes (I can usually get a birdie on a 3 par hole). Virtual of course. I have never played real golf. But it is a lot of fun on the computer. Not to mention cheaper.

See any place familiar Grits?

A short vid of Persephone playing the 16th hole at Harbor Town. (it is a little slow and jumpy. Fraps really slowed the game down while I was recording).

Oh that’s neat! On the tiny map that pond on the far right is very familiar. There was a gator in it for years until he got too big and was moved. Imagine bluebirds flying around on the fairway too, because there are nesting boxes on the trees.

Seventeen is a fun hole, too. The water that you hit over connects through the marsh to the sound, so there are always birds hunting it. And of course eighteen is gorgeous. I don’t play but I’ve walked the back nine a lot. Thanks for the pictures and video!

I'm not a golfer (at all), but that game looks very neat. I love the sound effects and voicing. Not bad for dead girl! goodjob.gif
SubRosa
Grits: It sounds beautiful. But it is Hilton Head after all right? Right afer taking that vid, I bogied the 17th hole! I hit into that water, and had to drop a shot right before it. laugh.gif I love the lighthouse at the 18th, and how you can see it from the nearby fairways.

Acadian: I'm not a golfer at all either! biggrin.gif But I am a pretty good computer gamer. wink.gif This 2003 version looks a lot better than the original version I played back in '94. Wow, that is 20 years now...

An undead golfer is not afraid of a little lightning

Thanks to KC's comment, I figured out why my Skellies were not equipping elven shields.

Now I have to decide if I want to add Dunmer Skeletons as well, with Bonemold Shields. My inclination is not to, as that would require all the users to have Dragonborn. I prefer to keep things as vanilla as possible. I might create a separate mod for Bonemold Skellies.
King Coin
Neat that you figured out the skellies. I guess it wasn't as difficult as I was thinking to get them to equip them.
Acadian
Let's not feel bad about not being golfers. Everything Buffy and I know about horses, Superian taught us. Similarly regarding archery and the teachings of Master Daenlin. wink.gif

Afraid of the lightning? Heck, looks like Purse Phone CAUSED the lightning! ohmy.gif

Toon Eater’s bony buds look great! I love how they have the same blue eyes as the DrugLords. Actually, your screens are the closest I’ve seen a SkySkellie. They are such fragile targets that they never get within 20 paces of Buffy’s bow. Looks like Tuonetar’s are lots tougher. Oh, and that’s a fabulous looking blue shield Tuonetar’s using.

How’s the limiting her ranged ability to summoned skeleton archers going. Seems like that could be quite a challenge facing nimblespeedy mages and teleporting magic users.
SubRosa
King Coin: Turns out it very simple. The Armor Addon for every item specifies what races can equip it. I just had to make a copy of the elven shield's AA and add in the Skeleton Race, then make a new Elven Shield using that Addon and give it to the Skellies.

Acadian: I can imagine Persephone shouting "It's Alive! It's Alive!" during the lightning storm. wink.gif

I did enhance my Summoned Skeletons. The base ones have a little more hit points than normal, though still not a lot. I wanted them to be on par with other Novice level summonings. The new Skellies are much tougher. I tried to make them roughly equivalent to the Flame/Frost/Shock Astronauts. So they can take a licking and keep on rattling!

So far I am liking summoning up a Skeleton Archer to deal with ranged issues. They are pretty good, at least so far. In an encounter with a bandit archer that was giving Tuonetar some trouble, the Skellie Arch drew his bow, and dropped the bandit with one shot. He must have been a Bosmer Skeleton. wink.gif

Persephone is still enjoying her R&R. Here are two of her greatest hits
Acadian
That firelight beautifully draws out the subtle blue lighting inherent to Tuonetar’s armor. It really showcases why you selected that armor. happy.gif

Wow, the dual skeletons look comforting indeed! The glowing one is epic! goodjob.gif

A great shot of Bones in action! ohmy.gif

Congrats on your great 'summon bones' mod. I'm so glad it's working well for you and it clearly adds much to Tuonetar's game.

Woot! And Persephone nails two holes in one! tongue.gif
Grits
I had the same thought as Acadian, it looks like the lightning is part of Persephone’s good shot celebration!

Tuonetar looks beautiful by firelight. The detail in her cloak is gorgeous.

I love her skeleton army! The Champ is lifting his chin as if to acknowledge his own awesomeness.

Smiting is my favorite one. I love how the skeleton’s mouth is open. biggrin.gif

Nice chipping! That first shot was 25 yards! ohmy.gif

Acadian: You know me, I always spend hours work hard at designing a character's look before I ever play them. It does pay off though.

The glowing Skellie is the Skeleton Champion. He has a Frost Cloak spell to make that white effect around him. He's definitely my favorite.

Grits: I guess Persephone is a lightning rod for interest on the green.

Tuonetar's cloak is the Pearl Cloak from the Velvet Robes and Cloak mod that you so graciously pointed out a while ago. It fits her armor perfectly.

Those chips are my pride and joy. I added another chip in the other day, that I am saving up for another video.

Persephone is still enjoying her vacation.
Playing in the sandbox

I dusted off Lonesome Dove's FONV game for a bit too.
Lonesome Dove enjoys the planet show at the Repconn Headquarters

She found this west of New Vegas. It is a map of the province.

Nice to see Purse-Phone taking on Scottsdale!

Lonesome Dove visits the Orrery! biggrin.gif

I’ll bet carrying that map around would be uncomfortable. I see they haven’t yet invented quills, ink pots and parchment out in those badlands? wink.gif

I smiled as, at first, I read the brewery shot title as ‘Relaxing with mirocu at the brewery’. laugh.gif

Dealing with a bad man – Lonesome’s a tough Dove! ohmy.gif

Persephone likes Scottsdale. It was a really nice course.

That does look like the Orrery! I never thought of that.

I don't think they have any quills, ink, parchment, or anything else out in the Nevada desert! But you would know better than anyone! laugh.gif

Lonesome would not mind drinking at Mirocu's brewery. Would that be the Raven's Eye brand of beer? wink.gif

Lonesome is definitely one tough Dove. As Teddy Rosevelt said (and I paraphrase), she prefers to talk softly, and carry a big sniper rifle! biggrin.gif

I am still passing some time in the Mojave Wasteland.

But I have also been playing Neverwinter Nights 2, where I created Antheia - a Ranger specializing in archery.

I like Lonesome Dove and it is fun to see her screenies of life in the desert. tongue.gif

I’ve never played NWN and really enjoy seeing it through your eyes/screen. The characters look bigger than the tiny characters in BG?
Grits
I love Lonesome Dove’s look. The map is neat!

I really like the look of Neverwinter Nights 2. The animal companions are particularly appealing.
SubRosa
Acadian: I bet you like seeing what your home will look like two hundred years after the nuclear war! laugh.gif Sort of like Renee playing Fallout 3.

The NWN characters are bigger. The NWN games are a generation ahead of BG. Where BG is a 2d, isometric game, using sprites for the characters. NWN is a fully 3d game, so it is has fully 3 dimensional meshes for everything. Though it is still basically that same isometric layout.

Grits: That was a really cool map. Apparently it is from a comic that came out with the game, though I have never seen it. That is what the Fallout Wiki says at least.

NWN2 does look very pretty, even for a game that is now dated. I wish the animal companions were stronger, as they tend to die a lot. They level up along with you and get more powerful. Artio is dying less these days than she did few levels ago. There are a few spells you can use on them to buff them up as well.

Antheia teamed up with a Lizard Man to rescue his fellow tribesman from some undead (and broker a peace between them and the local village)

Heh, you are right. I do recognize some of the names and places in FONV because I live out here. I also recognize quite a bit of the DC Debris from FO3 screenshots. My last duty station before I retired was the Washington Navy Yard. I’ve imagined, as you say, that Renee is comfortable with the FO3 setting as well.

NWN looks great! I’m glad you’re enjoying it and that it clearly has enough flexibility in character creation to support your tastes. And Antheia looks fabulous. Oddly, I found that Diablo II allowed for a great mystic archer when playing a bow-only amazon. But I agree that bow + summons makes for a good mystic archer. Kobolds! Oh I remember those little things from BG! tongue.gif
SubRosa
Acadian: I loved the Bowazons from Diablo II too. That was the first type of character I played in D2.
