Lopov: The friendly dragon was from that brief period when I had added January to the Dragon Faction.

Those werebears were at a fixed location. There were three of them in the central highlands, a little north and west of the Temple of Miraak. They immediately turned hostile and attack Jan.

Acadian: January is more frilly than the dragon!

After doing the Reiklings quests, January got a trio of Riekling followers who would just appear sometimes when she was in the icy parts of Solstheim, but never in the warmer, southern areas.

I changed January's eyes to a glowing version when she went to Sovngarde. I wanted to show that she was transformed by the experience. That is why I changed her armor too.

Renee: When January went to Sovngarde I wanted to show that traveling beyond life and death had changed her. So I gave her glowing eyes, and the new suit of armor. Being exotic was actually appropriate. So I leaned into it. She is a superhero in Skyrim now, like she is other places.

The goblins are Rieklings. They were in the original Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind, and are back in the Dragonborn dlc for Skyrim. They are sort of similar to goblins, and ride giant boars.

Stormcrow indeed! AKA Shock and Awe!

Great action shot vs that dragon priest.

Aww, a bunch of little reikling followers

Jan is the Queen. You perfectly captured what Buffy felt like trying to sit in Countess Alessia’s throne. laugh.gif
SubRosa
Acadian: January realized that the only way to win the game of thrones, was not to play.

Wow, Jan OWNS that night sky!

That is so funny – just the door and front steps with no house.

Crow + Dragon = Shock & Awe.

These eyes – Love that piercing blue color you’re using.
Acadian
I'm glad to see you enjoying PoE. It looks like a worthy successor to BGII and the ilk.
SubRosa
This will finish out the last of my pics from Jan's Skyrim adventures. Unless I go back there at some point.

Lopov
That's a lot of dead wyverns, if that's what they are.

I like the throne in the Ogre pic, it looks to be made from some giant skeleton.

It's good that Mather cured himself of lycanthropy else he might get pwned. wacko.gif

Are those fishmen Kuo-Toa?

That dragon looks kinda small.

Bane has a Venice festival mask.

So that's where January went from Skyrim.
Acadian
Neat shots inside Azura's Star. Love her giving that necrodude a stormbath! Nice to know that even superheroes need to consult a walkthrough now and again. wink.gif

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Apr 30 2020, 01:30 PM) *

This is one impressive pic! How long the light show go on?
SubRosa
Lopov: Those were drakes. Pillars of Eternity does not have Wyverns. They are essentially the same thing though.

The fishmen are Laugerfeth, an aquatic race of monsters added by the White March dlcs.

The dragon looks pretty big when you are standing in front of it!

Acadian: January grew up with the internet, so she always checks the cheat guide!

macole: I don't know. That is a real picture of the grand canyon. I saw it and instantly thought that Stormcrow must be there.

Acadian
Nice shots. Those detection aides for stealthing make great sense. It is nice being able to pause combat to issue orders and control how quickly combat proceeds. A necessity really if you're controlling a group of NPCs. No doubt which one is Stormcrow in that last shot!
Lopov
Can you explore every inch of an island or are you set to a few predetermined locations and can travel between them?

On the edge of skeleton's hearing.

Interiors are very detailed.

Enemies look very diverse.

Stormchild!
SubRosa

Acadian: It is definitely a lot easier to control the team in PoE2 than it was in the other games.

Lopov: You can explore the islands, but only from the strat map, which does not have anything on it for most islands. At best there are one or two spots where you click on an orchard and get some fruit in your inventory, or a pond and get water. Sometimes there is an old battle site or cemetery, which you click on and it gives you some text to search it. Hours go by, and you might be rewarded by an item or some money. Once in a great while there is an actual dungeon. You can see all these things from the strat map without having to actually land on the island and search for them.

This is nicely evident in the Reptilian Hordes pic.

Dressed like Jack Sparrow.

Aloth merely wants to warm up the bandits.

Now that's a storm!

Acadian
Haha, Lopov is right – nice Jack Sparrow outfit.

The only Rolling Flame that really hurts is the one you don’t see!

Stormcrow opens up a can of shock and awe!
SubRosa
Lopov: I like the piratey Vailian clothes. They are nice for when you are starting out and don't need a lot of armor, yet.

Acadian: Rolling Flame is a really fun spell in Pillars 2. It looks really cool when you watch it roll across the screen, and it typically flattens whoever it hits.

Neat. Jan is the one with the short circuit. biggrin.gif Eww is right - even the name 'cave grub' sounds pretty yuck.
macole
a lot of fire being thrown around in those pics. That devil would have Kaleah cowering in the corner I'm sure.
Acadian
Nice to follow Jan’s adventures and that she seems to be enjoying PoE.

Quite an explosion! With no gunpowder in TES of course, ESO has some quests where you can set off barrels of ‘kindlepitch’ as part of the quest to bring down a mineshaft or such.

Those fire giant are pretty darn big!

I expect there’s an interesting story associated with all those spirits.

Fireball arrows look pretty potent. I believe I do recall using them in BGII.

A new Golden Saint hat for Jan!

And finally, a red winged twilight?
Lopov
The first pic looks like Mass Effect, if played from isometric perspective!

Fire giants - uh oh! I remember them from Baldur's Gate II.

That's a lot of spirits.

What an arrow!

Her hat looks like Elven hat.

There's no party until the demon shows up.
Renee
Hey, what menu mod are you using?? That is really handsome. Gosh, I hope it's not DarniFIED UI. I tried Darn for Oblivion a couple years ago but its fonts are too small / could not be made larger, and my TV is several feet away from my bed.

Oops wrong game. Sorry. What game is this?

SubRosa
macole: There is a lot of fire in my PoE games. Fire is one of the most prevalent of destruction type spells in them, and I like to use my wizard like the equivalent of calling in heavy artillery or an air strike. The rest of the party holds their position, while the wizard lobs one fireball after another right in front of them. Most of the bad guys don't live to reach my front line fighters.

Acadian: The fire giants were really cool. They are the chosen ones of Magran, the Fire Goddess.

All the spirits at the dock are from your first visit to the capital. An annoying harbor master comes to make fun of you and your crew for being Dyrwood farmers. Berath - the goddess of death and rebirth whose herald you are - suggests you show her your power. That is how.

The red winged twilight is actually just an imp. But one that has gotten really, really big. It is one of the most dangerous boss fights in the game.

Lopov: Demons make a party!

Renee: This is Pillars of Eternity 2, which I have been playing for about a month, and I just beat like a red-haired stepchild. Ph83R M3 N00b$!! smile.gif

The guardian looks robotic.

The weather machine reminds me of the centurion dynamo core.

Eothas is huge!
Acadian
That dracolich is an interesting critter. A briarheart-style heart hole!

Ominous portal!

Wow, an abominable snowminotaur.

Nice shot of January.

Guardian of Ukaizo looks like the Dwemer got ahold of some dracolich plans?

That ancient weather machine looks a lot like the orrery.

Eothas is one big dude!

Glad you and Jan enjoying Shadowrun. It sounds like lots of action. smile.gif

Acadian
Nice to see January enjoying NWN1 after her somewhat rocky start you mentioned in the other thread. Do I gather she is running solo? Though I never played NWN nor TESIII, the pix remind me a bit of shots from the Morrowind game.

I smiled when I saw Jan with the Scorpion King. I pretty much liked everything The Rock did related to those 'Mummy' movies.
SubRosa
I just looked and Neverwinter Nights 1 and Morrowind were both released the same year: 2002. TBH, I think NWN looks better. The animations are certainly vastly superior.

January wants her mummy

The final battle of Shadows of Undrentide is colorful
Acadian
That's good to hear on the animations for NWN. I never played NWN or MW but have seen enough MW vids to be unimpressed with the animations (and graphics).

So little mummies, so little time.

Colorful indeed!

SubRosa
Acadian: It really does amaze me that Bioware could do such good animations for a game where you actually see so very little of the characters. Usually you are zoomed way out so you don't really notice many details. But Morrowind is all about being up close and in your face, and Bethesda failed so utterly at making characters move in any way whatsoever.

Mighty Talos!

Jan has moves
Acadian
Heh, looks like Talos got a better gig in TES.

Moves! Lara Croft got nothing on you, Jan! tongue.gif
SubRosa
This wraps up Mask of the Betrayer. I think I will try Storm of Zehir next.

Acadian
Is that the attack of the midget mummies? Love Jan's high ponytail! And that bear has some serious bling going on!
SubRosa
Jan had an enlarge person spell on her, making her giant sized. Turns out the penalties for using it really outweigh the advantages. But it looked neat. The bear is an NPC, a spirit bear-god you can recruit into your team.

The Alliance - (from left to right, Avery, January, Hannah, and Ryo).

Acadian
Nice that you can really customize your team. Also sounds good that you can 'play' as different characters within your party. Jan's team looks good!
Lopov
I seem to recognize that location - is that the lair of marilith demon Yxunomei?
Acadian
Certainly no lack in variety when it comes to foes and spells in this collection of shots.
SubRosa
Lopov: You have a good memory, that was Y-something's lair

Acadian: Those old 2d games certainly gave us a lot more variety of enemies than the more modern 3d ones, where it is more work to create models and textures for creatures.

Her armor set is wicked!
Acadian
Great shots of Jan's game in Skyrim. The opening shot is epic!

What a contrast between Jan and that hagraven!

Jan's dark helmet really is reminiscent of a crow - neat!
Acadian
There's Jan, hanging out in the badlands in her steel-nipple armor and chillin' with a pop. And she meets Robbie the Robot! I noticed the increased gold/red in her hair as wells as what seems to be a 'poutier' look to her.
Acadian
Nice idea giving Jan's weapons a shock effect - she is the Stormcrow after all. I believe I see some strong Oblivion influence in some of the mods you're using - the giant ponytail and Jan's pose in the final shot. Chatting with Abe! Don't feel badly; Abe's demise happened on Blood Raven's watch. wink.gif
SubRosa
Acadian: Jan is a shocking person.

Ouch, Blood Raven feels the burn! She'd like me to remind everyone that she and the rest of the 24th Michigan were stationed in Illinois when Abe was assassinated. But she and the rest of her regiment did serve as the honor guard for his funeral in Springfield, Illinois.

Acadian
No slight to Blood Raven intended. She is awesome and, if unable to save Abe, the younger Crow of Storms should not feel badly. Jan is quite chopping and shocking her way through her current world. Does her new shotgun shoot shock rounds?
