Early sniper is wonderful! Hecate looks so happy in her deadly work. evillol.gif

Taking notes on her Pipgirl?

New hat. . . . Oh my. I hope the Fashion Rangers don’t catch her. ohmy.gif

I love the saspirilly sign with Hecate peeking out from behind it ready to shoot.

A well deserved cold one. I think I’d stick with the soda pop instead of that nuclear moose juice. tongue.gif
mALX

* I never play DiD either; spend way too much time making my character look nice to throw it all away just because they had a mishap, laugh.gif

Oh, I've seen this spot before! Can't remember where it is though!

The map = Easter Egg time! I do know where that one is.

BWAAHAA! Hecate looks adorable in that ram-horn helmet!

Ooh, she is about to find out where my "Where am I" thread screen came from a week or so ago - the one no one recognized, lol.

I love that posing; took all kinds of notes on it and lost them all in my move! I'm going to have to redo the notes so I can see Misa holding a drink in the Mojave or Wasteland instead of just in ESO, lol.

Awesome shots !!!!

SubRosa
Acadian: Hecate is an early riser. After all, the early sniper shoots the worm...

Thankfully the Fashion Rangers were busy with the boys wearing red skirts... laugh.gif

mALX: That is another reason I don't play DiD. Like you, I spend a long time working on not only their faces, but figuring out their outfits, creating mods just for them, etc...

The Early Morning Sniper pic is on the roof of Violet's lair. She's the Fiend leader with all the dogs. Hecate has the Animal Friend perk, which made all the dogs friendly. Until she killed Violet. Then the dogs all went hostile. But thankfully a Legion assassination team attacked at just that moment, and the dogs all attacked them. That turned out to rather well.

I love that map. The first time I saw it I was scratching my head over what it was. Then it all sank in.

Is that pic no one recognized inside the Sunset Sarsparilla building? Hecate has not gone inside yet, but probably will soon. I think she might have 50 star caps by now.

Oh noes, about the poses! Now you need to write them all down again. sad.gif

This looks disturbing...

Vegetable riot

Plants that kill

Shooting ghouls

Shooting ghouls II

These ones are too close for comfort

Hecate puts them down

Now to deal with this nuclear reactor

Mr. House's house

Iron Man

The Deadclaw Promontory
Acadian
A deadly garden!

Those ghouls are too close indeed.

Beauty is certainly aptly named. happy.gif

Beast – wow, he looks like the monster in Predator. Love the wisp stalks on the left side of the picture.

Roll out the deathclaw carpet for Hecate!
mALX

That must be why it looked so familiar, I've probably stood right there after the battle was over too! You work so hard to live through the attack, so kind of earned that climb to the top of her steel lair, lol.

That map is one of those cool touches that made the Fallout world so fun!

Yes, I had rewritten the poses; then moved. I know I put those notes in a box; one that hasn't been found yet. Our deck is still stacked high with boxes to go through; I kind of lost momentum after that surgery, lol. So yeah, will either have to rewrite the ones I wanted or wait till I find them.

Oh, I hate that vault! Worse = I hate getting up to it through that Cazador pass! Hecate looks like she just breezed up there, how can she look so good after being stung a billion times? That pass is one of those reasons I never play DiD, because I'd have to restart hundreds of characters on just that one spot on the map, laugh.gif

Are you there on the quest for Camp McCarron or for Veronica?

Urk, I hate ghouls!

GAAAAH! I don't remember "Mr. House's House!" Is that what House used to look like? My how time changed him, urk! laugh.gif

Oooh, I love the Deathclaw Promontory - but only with incendiary bullets, lol.

These are some great shots, you always make me want to play whatever you are playing because your shots just really bring out the feel of the game!
SubRosa
Acadian: Hecate prefers her enemies to far, far away. But well within the reach of her M110 Semi Automatic Sniper System of course! biggrin.gif

You noticed the wisp stalk caps! Those are one of the only meshes/textures to make the transition from Oblivion to Fallout. They look a lot healthier in Cyrodiil though.

mALX: I spent all the game collecting every antivenom I could find and hoarding them. I must have used about 40 of them in the past few days, exploring around Red Rock Canyon and then out north of Lake Meade. I hate those cazadors!

Hecate went to that plant Vault for the scientist lady in Camp McCarran. Actually she went twice. The first time she cleared it out just exploring the area. Then she went to McCarran afterward and got the quest from the scientist and went back. The ghoul scientist magically appeared there the second time she went there, and she wrapped up her quest easy by burning up the vault and destroying the plant data.

Mr. House's house is a just resort hotel that he must have owned, given that it was named after him. I am pretty sure he actually lived in the Lucky 38.

The Deathclaw Promontory is one tough place! I like to bring satchel charges and mine the two entry areas, and lure the Deathclaws into charging over them. Anything else would be blown to bits. At least it softens them up some... wink.gif

Hecate was not expecting this!

That looks like an uncomfortable place to keep her knife

Slender...

Make with the prize, now!

Hecate is the Tops

Time to settle up with Benny

Ring a Ding Baby!
mALX

I hate the cazadors worse than ghouls! laugh.gif I remember you told me before that their poison kills you worse than their sting does and antivemon helps; I never knew that when I played on the 360. I will most def learn to make it in the game I started a while back (when I start playing it again).

The plants/McCarron quest with the ghoul was so fun; I must have died thirty times trying to blow up that hallway! Loved that quest!

Oh, I looked it up - Mr. House's house is Camp Golf now! I have never seen or noticed that "House Resort" sign on the door, or the picture of Robert House in there !!!! Man, I must be blind !!! rollinglaugh.gif

I do love the Camp Golf quests - training the recruits, etc. Kind of don't like either pushing that guy into committing suicide or letting him continue hurting the NCR though. I did like listening to him talk.

I like bringing Veronica to the Deathclaw Promentary and giving her "Pushy." She goes up to those Deathclaws and punches them out. When she first starts out, she can "one punch" kill them; but pretty soon she gets overwhelmed. But until then, it is fun to watch her in action, lol.

Then I have to get the Anti-Material rifle out with incendiary bullets to save her, lol.

*

BWAAHAA! Eulogy's girls stand by their man, rollinglaugh.gif Oh wait, this isn't FO3! So it can't be Dukov either! What the heck? I don't think I know what/where this place is!

Man, that is one ugly hooker! I don't see the knife though.

Urk, looks like Hecate's time up in that space ship back in the DC Wasteland had some residual effects on her!

YEAH !!! She finally went in!!!

Hecate is being followed by some creepy looking guy in this shot!

Holy Cow, did she hit him from that far away? Awesome !!!

Urgh, glad I wasn't eating for that shot, laugh.gif Did his body guards attack Hecate for killing him? It doesn't seem like they are even in a defensive mode in the shot! I always save Benny's jacket and wear it, but ... have never seen it on him with his head gone before, that would kill my desire to wear it, I think, lol.

I loved this set of shots, really Awesome update !!!

Acadian
Not expecting indeed! Looks like Hecate violated the dress code. laugh.gif

Slender - Eeeep! What happened? A manicure malfunction? ohmy.gif

Shooting Festus. I’ll bet she can’t miss from that range.

Walking down the street in front of Tops. Love the nekked girl sign behind the street light. Is that from a ghastley mod? wink.gif

Inside Tops to settle with Benny – That place has seen its better days.

mALX: You made me laugh at the thought of Veronica punching out a Deathclaw. Veronica Balboa! laugh.gif

Those three old women in pink dresses are Maud's Muggers. They turned up way in the south west of Freeside, around a little robotics factory that I found for the first time this playthrough.

The hooker's knife is sticking out of her stomach, on the right side of the pic (her left).

The guards didn't go hostile after Hecate killed Benny. But she talked to his second in command Swank at the front door first, and won him over to her side. It takes a high speech, and a few quest items you pick up along the way following Benny. One was his lighter, which she got from the Khans he double-crossed in Boulder. If you talk them out of Boulder, they will give you the lighter and tell you about Benny.

Acadian: That trucker mudflap girl is pure vanilla New Vegas. It's from Gommorah - the same casino with the holster billboard.

The inside of The Tops is actually one of the best looking places in the Wasteland! Nuclear war didn't do much for property values... wink.gif laugh.gif

And that was one shot, one kill with Benny. Holland Smith would approve.

Love the holster billboard!

What a great batch of Hecate shots.

I love that area just outside Tops, where you can see the 38 sign. Hecate’s brass flying from the chamber is very cool, as is her nifty ‘chameleon’ suit. Oh, and palm trees. happy.gif

Lucky 38 looks pretty good inside. Something tells me Hecate did not go inside to either get lucky or to get a pair of 38’s. tongue.gif

Lots of headshotting going on!

At least Hecate didn’t pull off his ... well, she just ripped off unimportant stuff like legs and arms.

Oh noes, Ceasar’s getting blood all over his nice Legion uniform!

Hecate in a skirt! hubbahubba.gif

Aww, teddy bears. closedeyes.gif
Acadian
What a nice collection of screens documenting Hecate’s assault across the Hoover Dam!

If Hecate looks nice in a skirt, she looks downright delish in her swim suit as she rescues that B-29. I loved some of the ‘Legion go home’ type graffiti along the bridge. And air power helping to turn the tide. I also like the unicycle-bots and Hecate’s heavy-hitting helper. As you say, in the end there can be only one.

Congrats to Hecate! goodjob.gif
Acadian
How fun to start Hecate anew in FO3!

I see she wasted no time getting a rifle. It does look nice with some trees out in the wasteland. Moonlight goddess - hey, where's the second moon? Oh, wait. . . . wink.gif

Veronica punching out deathclaws - the first time I saw her do it I was torn between awe and hysterics!

That is so funny about the knife clipping like that!

Misa was able to sweet talk Swank only once, she had the "Black Widow" perk - boy did his dialogue get funny after that! (or maybe it was due to the perk).

It was also how she got hilarious dialogue out of Mr. Burke in FO3, laugh.gif

Oh, I always got Vulpes outside the Tops giving my character amnesty for their previous "crimes" against the Legion!

Ew, she blew up Mr. House! Urk, lol. I always opened up his "pod" to let the germs get him, lol. A slower death, but most def a death. (and no hundred year old Mr. House all over her armor, laugh.gif )

Oh wait, "Her Army?" So ... she is going with the Yes Man? Holy Crap!!!! I thought she was NCR all the way!!!! OMG, I have never done this ending !!!

Ooh, nice digs! I have never seen the suite, what do you have to do to get it?

mALX
QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 20 2016, 09:48 PM) *

Ooh, getting the plane already? Hecate has cut right through this game quickly!

Ooh, a Boomer jacket! I have had one before, but I think I found it on dead Boomers doing an early side quest for them.
Oh yeah, New Vegas is very entertaining outside on the strip, lol.

Omg, how did she get Veronica to stay with her? She doesn't leave if you do the "Yes Man" ending?

OOOOH !!! The bomber overhead !!! I have never gotten to see that in my game, it always fatally crashed before the big battle. Maybe now that I've got the PC version I'll finally get to play out the end of the game!

OMG, they actually drop bombs! I've never seen that, does it shake the ground like the battle behind Liberty Prime?

What the heck is Veronica hitting? Yes, she sure is impressive with her fists! Did you give her "Pushy?"

Holy Crap, is that Legate Lanius's face or a mask? Oh, is that the guy in the golden mask that I haven't gotten to see yet because my game crashed before it ever reached that spot? Geez, I thought his mask looked like a golden sun or something! OOOOH !!! I can't wait to fight him! Was it a hard combat?

Oh, since you normally play NCR here, how did it feel shocking General Oliver that way? Did she feel like a turnheel?

But no matter how bad it might feel, and not sure if I would want to do it - I do get the biggest kick out of seeing Yes Man kick someone/anyone off the top of the Hoover Dam, laugh.gif

QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 22 2016, 02:46 PM) *

Ooh, back in the DC Wasteland!

I think I've only been able to save Tom and Mary once in all my playthroughs.

What gun is that she has? It looks way too big to be the BB gun; and I think the Overseer's locker only had a pistol (and the guards only had batons)! Is that the BB gun? It looks huge on her!

There is always kind of a sickening feeling when you hear that vault door close behind you permanently, like you are hoping you didn't just make a huge mistake (not like you had a choice) . Not sure if anyone else feels that or not, but I sure did.

OMG, TREES !!! Looks like Harold has been busy!

I think they may have overpopulated the trees (for a wasteland) possibly; but I like how natural the long grass looks around that Springvale sign!

Oh boy, back in the Wasteland I love best, I love FO3!

Awesome shots and updates! You must have been on some kind of a marathon playthrough here, rollinglaugh.gif Awesome shots, all of them!

SubRosa
Acadian: I gave her the hunting rifle to start with. I made a mod that adds all the base, entry-level weapons to the start of the tutorial area. I did the same with Oblivion. That way my characters can start off using the kind of weapon I intended for them, and I can practice with it and see if I really like it.

I think the big red moon got blown up by the atom bombs! laugh.gif Lousy Commie Moon... wink.gif

mALX: The last few times I have played New Vegas I have held off on going to the Tops until late in the game. So my characters had a high speech by then. Plus picking up stuff along the way like Benny's lighter.

Vuples usually never survives my character's first visit to Nipton! Loviatar is the only one who let him live.

Hecate prefers the NCR to the Legion or House. They seem like the lesser of three evils. But once it came down to killing House, taking over for herself seemed better for the Mojave than leaving it to the NCR, who only really seem interested in the dam for its water and electricity. It would have been nice to create a new Mojave nation in the form of a cartel or republic, with equal participation in the new government from the local groups like The Kings, The Followers of the Apocalypse, Jacobstown, Novac, Goodsprings, the Boomers, the Brotherhood of Steel, and so on. But apparently Obsidian never thought of that.

Getting that penthouse is like getting those teardrop tattoos in prison. You gotta kill a few people first... wink.gif laugh.gif Seriously, you get the presidential suite in the Lucky 38 after you meet Mr. House, and either agree to work for him, or kill him and take his place as ruler of New Vegas (the Independent/Yes Man route)

Lopov was surprised that I was able to keep a companion all the way through the end of the game. I did not do anything special. I recruited Veronica near the end of the game when I was courting the Brotherhood. She makes that a lot easier. I gave her Caesar's fist weapon. I had killed him earlier, and saved it since its unique. I think it's called the Displacer Glove. It looks pretty impressive!

The bombing run didn't shake the ground. Not that I remember at least. Too bad, that would have been good! It is still pretty neat seeing the Boomers fly in and drop those bombs though.

That is a mask Lanius is wearing. I don't think I have ever seen his actual face. You cannot pick his helmet or armor up after you kill him. Not that you could really do anything with them anyway, since the game ends a few minutes later.

Hecate didn't want to kill any of the NCR after the battle, because she did like a lot of them as individuals. But General Oliver made it easy to give the order to throw him off the bridge after he started to insult Hecate. The way she saw it, he had it coming. Plus, it really was funny to watch Yes Man throw him off the dam! biggrin.gif

I gave the new East Coast Hecate a Hunting Rifle to start with, since she's a rifle person. It worked really well on the radroaches. I always have trouble hitting them. I think because of how low they sit to the ground, there is something funky about the area that counts as a hit on them, like it is only halfway there. But I was able to get good hits on them with the hunting rifle every time.

I know exactly what you mean about that vault door shutting behind you. The way the metal groans and screeches, it is so very final. It rams home the reality that you can never go home again, and are leaving your best friend behind forever. It would have been easier if Amata had come with you. Less lonely.

The plants in the area around Chernobyl are not just surviving, but thriving. A few species did not survive the radiation, but the others have really stepped up their game, and without humans around they are actually doing better than before. So plants are actually much more resistant to radiation than anyone ever suspected. Look at Hiroshima or Nagasaki too. You would never imagine that either had been leveled by nukes just 70 years ago.

You know, I always took for granted that Bethesda and the Black Isles/Obsidian researched the effects of a nuclear war in making their games; that the wasteland would be an accurate prediction of what would take place.

So what you wrote here surprised me, so I looked it up. That is amazing! I mean, this was supposedly a nuclear war, which would not have had the long lasting radiation to begin with (verses a leak from a nuclear power plant like at Chernobyl; where the radiation remains in full strength for thousands of years)

So seeing the current pictures of Chernobyl was actually shocking to me! And it brings up imaginations of mutated genes in biology similar to that vault in New Vegas, lol.

Overly large plants; overly large worms or centipedes - mutantly overlarge - like horror movie stuff, lol.

Anyway; I live just a couple miles from Oak Ridge; and all of their secret nuclear farms are fenced off and you can't trespass on them. But they abut a lake and there are no fences; no signs along the shore saying "Keep Out," or at least I didn't see them.

So I was out fishing in a small Jon boat; saw some wild horses and had to stop. Pulled the boat up on the shore and scouted around, hiked over the whole area several times (on several different trips) to see the horses and other animals.

Then one day a uniformed man in a truck driving off road "caught me" there and informed me that it was government property and I was trespassing. I told him I didn't know, just stopped to see the wild horses. He shuffled me out of there very quickly.

But I did catch some VERY strange looking fish in the streams around that area; nothing that is known to be in ETN, that's sure.

If it looks weird, I don't eat it; so I threw them back. But my husband was pretty sure they looked mutated, and we both wondered if there had been leaks or testing in that area.

Anyway, it surprises me that as accurate as Bethesda is with the layouts of the land, that they wouldn't have realized that there would be vegatation 200 years after a nuclear war = especially since the majority of the radiation in a nuclear blast is used up in the blast, and the residual radiation dissipates rapidly after that, in just years it is safe to live in ground zero as opposed to a nuclear plant leak where thousands of years have to pass before the area is safe for habitation.

Very interesting, I def learned something today from you on this!

Urk, what is that food in the guy's plate? Bleah!

BWAAHAA! And an expensive bed at that price! laugh.gif

"Different from the vault" is my favorite shot, what a great pose and shot both! Looks like Hecate is 100 caps poorer today, lol.

Ah, good old Mr. Burke!

Is she really fixing the pipes? I've done that every time, but never seen my character actually doing it! (that I remember) Oh, or is that a pose?

Ah, the old Super-Duper Mart! Poor robot, but he sure does bring out the enemies so you can snipe them while they are looking at him, lol.

Great shots; and really glad you told me about that vegetation; I was just taking Bethesda's (and Black Isles's/Obsidian's) vision as an accurate depiction!
SubRosa
Acadian: Everything looks like a pile of junk in Fallout. That is one of the things I love about these games. Junk is treasure! laugh.gif (seriously though, it is...)

The bed was not extra at all. Though Hecate did not get much sleep... wink.gif

mALX: The manual for the original Fallout game has a little section near the beginning about the effects of nuclear weapons and radiation. It is short, but very good. It was made by a different game company of course - Interplay ,and they had a much better grasp than Bethesda.

Have you ever seen any of the Life Without People kind of shows? I have seen a few by different networks. They generally give me a warm and fuzzy feeling, knowing how quickly and thoroughly that Mother Nature can obliterate all traces of human habitation. It gives me hope that our planet will survive us. One of the scariest things though is not even the nuclear power plants. They are set to automatically shut themselves down (put all controls rods in the reactor to stop the nuclear reaction) if they detect no sign of humans operating them. It is the spent nuclear fuel that is probably the most dangerous thing on the planet. These used fuel rods are encased in metal to contain the massive radiation in them, and stored in pools of water that are kept constantly chilled. The chillers have backup generators in case the main power grid goes out, and enough diesel to keep going for weeks. But once they run out of diesel the water stops being cooled. The spent fuel is so hot that it will evaporate all the water, and then literally burn off the metal cases. After that the radiation within them is exposed to the air and spread everywhere. No matter what kind of apocalypse - Zombies, Aliens, or even just the world running of oil - that would happen all over the world once the power went out. So eventually every apocalypse will become a nuclear one as well.

You live near Oak Ridge? That sounds kind of creepy, considering all the nuclear work they have done there over the decades. I found that fish!

Nova's bed is expensive! I think she charges more than the Tiber Septim Hotel!

That is a pose I used in the pipe fixing picture. It is the one of Gob banging on the radio.

I love the robots you can activate in Fallout 3. It is one of the things I really miss in New Vegas. Some of the game's most hilarious moments come from those things clunking around and attracting the attention of every monster in the level - all the while they are saying things like "Use of deadly force has been authorized."

The robot dialogue should win some kind of award; I love it!!! And yeah, I have activated every robot I find just to hear that, lol.

I do miss them in New Vegas; and also miss being able to blow up stuff by shooting it. (like old cars or buses, etc)

This grass is amazing, I'm not even sure where she is (and it is unusual for me to not recognize any where in FO3, laugh.gif )

Your colors look so good here, I am really tempted to fiddle with the colors in my game too!

That mirelurk looks like it senses Hecate's presence, lol.

Oh, I hate those ants! But their fire nectar does come in handy - (against them; but there aren't too many other fire damages in the game against the player that I've found)

What an interesting looking morning sky! The red glow near the ground - not sure what is causing it, but it looks very cool! It kind of looks like a morning mist, but red!

Urk, that ghoul looks like it is about to land on Hecate!

Morning on the River is gorgeous; and my favorite shot!

Yes, most def would like that. My new email is the same as the old one, but instead of "TDS.net" it is "Comcast.net"

Oh crap, the Talon Company! I think it is kind of crappy the way Bethesda has them appear as friendly and then they surround you and suddenly after a few words they are showing as enemies - but that said, it does most def add some spice to the game to not know when you leave a place if you will be sniped coming out, laugh.gif

Holy Cow, is that a Nuka Grenade? Awesome !!!!

Oh, now what is she planning to do at Tenpenny Towers?

They did a great job on the grass in this mod, it looks fantastic! (and real!)

Love the Dawn Patrol shot, but the grenade is still my favorite!

Okay, so I finally played the end out on the PC game for the first time since my 360 broke - and as much as I love being on the PC for modding, getting unstuck, poses, etc - the PC has NOTHING on the 360 when it comes to following Liberty Prime across that bridge! NADA !!!

On the 360, the controller vibrates in your hand on hits, explosions, etc - and crossing that bridge behind Liberty Prime the first time, that controller was going nuts in my hand; it was jumping out of my hand !!!

On the PC it was kind of dull in comparison. It was really a disappointment, surprised me that it was so plain after how exciting it was on the 360.

Oh well. verysad.gif

That critter in the first pic is a Molerat. As the name suggests, it is a melding of moles and rats at ten times the normal size created by the American government at Mariposa. It was supposed to be used as a weapon against the Chinese. The idea was to turn them loose in Chinese territory, and leave them to do what moles and rats do - chew through the infrastructure.

You can still shoot the Talons as soon as you see them. They skip the dialogue and just attack. But you might lose karma if you kill them before they turn red on your hud.

Hecate got a couple of nuka grenades early in the game from somewhere. I think maybe they were a reward from Moira from one of the Wasteland Survival Guide quests. She has been saving them for special occasions.

I love how the grass looks in this Flora mod. But it does make shooting radscorpions a lot harder, since you cannot see them!

You might be able to play the PC version with your game controller. I know you can do that with a lot of PC games and the X-Box controller.

WOO HOO! Thank you so much, SubRosa! I downloaded it on both my PC and laptop; can't wait to see it!

I simply love the sniper shots! Between your trees and the rifle scope those shots are just neat as can be!

I laughed over the knife vs rifle.

Aww, another teddy bear for Hecate. It must be her overarching quest to gather teddy bears. tongue.gif
SubRosa
King Coin: Hecate has gone out west once, but only down in the south-western corner of the map - making a tour of Girdershade, Dunwich, Tenpenny, and of course obtaining the Lucky Shades. So she has yet to liberate the imprisoned teddy bear. She has squared off with a Behemoth though, as today's pics will show.

mALX: Fellout is a work in progress for me. I have been modding it for a year, and I still find myself tweaking the lighting values of places almost every time I play.

Acadian: Those trees make this a whole new game for me. I did like the barren, wasteland feel of the original game. But this new arboreal wasteland is a lot of fun too. I often find it reminding me of Cyrodiil. Except of course when I glimpse a Deathclaw though the sniper scope...

Great shots of Hecate getting some nuka! Love Robbie in his nuka cola colors. Oh, and the Rosie the Riveter style sign in ‘Nuka break again’.

Eeep! Fighting something that uses a fire hydrant as a weapon has to be dangerous! I don’t blame Hecate for switching from her sniper rifle to a really big gurl gun.

They make a purring sound when you rub their bellies, it is fantastic! (so no farting, lol)

Oh, I never even thought of a rad scorpion being hidden in the grass! Oh, now that is scary! Must add some real spice to walking around, that is sure; you could step on one before seeing it!

Oooh, great idea! I looked it up, and the vibration does work on the PC game when you use them! It makes an enormous difference in places like crossing that bridge behind Liberty Prime or the Implosion of Raven Rock - it feels like you are really there with the ground exploding around you. It really adds to the excitement of the moment when you can actually feel the impacts; and the explosions on that bridge from cars and helicopters exploding - it was an Awesome experience with the game controller!

Oh, me thinks Hecate is at the F. Scott trailer park! laugh.gif

Woo Hoo, the Deathclaw gauntlet !!! I Love that thing! And I see Hecate has been amassing Bobbleheads, lol.

Holy Cow, are you off map in that screen? Are you getting that secret weapon off of that table from the Broken Steel DLC? No wait, you have to finish the game to get that place off map; so it can't be ... where is she?

Is that the Arlington Library? What a fun place that is!

I think it is funny that those raiders come out of the bathroom when you show up, laugh.gif

Ah, the old Nuka Cola company! I love that place! (and love the nukalurk meat!!!!)

Uh oh, the screen from the "Where am I?" thread! Does this mean that screen was taken at the Nuka Cola plant? I was stumped on it, have been seriously considering going in game and hunting it down, lol.

Oh, I know where she is going now! There are only a few quests where you travel with the BoS; so she must be going to the GNR!

WOO HOO! Yes she was going to the GNR! And it is on, what will she fight with this time?

OMG, the place looks like Armageddon!

I can't believe he lived through those blasts, was that the nuka grenades again?

BWAAHAA! Looks like you blew his mutated manhood off, rollinglaugh.gif

Great shots !!!!

SubRosa
Acadian: Nuka Cola is the drink of Wasteland Champions! The Rosie The Riveter Nuka Sign is probably my favorite in the game.

Hecate prefers her sniper rifle - and one shot, one kill - to something as clumsy and inelegant as a blaster Fatman. But sometimes you just have to nuke it from orbit, just to be sure.

mALX: That was the F Scott Key Trailer park where Hecate saw the Deathclaw! That was an amazing guess, especially with all the trees. Hecate got the Deathclaw Gauntlet schematics there, as well as a Deathclaw hand of course.

That off the map pic was from beyond the southern edge of the map. I turned of all the borders from the .ini file years ago. It makes it easier getting around the edges of the map. But this is the first time she ever went so far off the map entirely.

I never really thought that those Raiders in the library were actually using the bathrooms! But when you have to go, you have to go! ohmy.gif laugh.gif

The quote is from Pride and Prejudice! It is from the very beginning of the novel. I used a pose they made for reading the occult book in Point Lookout so Hecate could look like she was reading. It was not easy to get a good pic, as the pose has you walking all over making summoning gestures. It is = LooseDLC04OccultBookRitual

I love the extra action points from the NukaLurk meat too. The blue Lurks are really cool to look at too. Much more interesting than the ordinary Mirelurks.

You called it a second time. Hecate was in Chevy Chase, going to GNR. She wanted to get the radio station working so she can listen to it outside of DC.

Those blasts in the later shots were nukes from the Fatman! There is always one on a BOS corpse laying out in front of the radio station. That is usually the first place my characters find one.

You have a tremendously creative mind for playing video games, I'd love to watch you play just to see what you would do next!

Oh, I know what quest she is on here; getting the dish for 3 Dog! When you are in that place, do you do that side quest? And also, do you jump down off the top balcony into that little Easter Egg room? I love that building, it is a ton of fun!

That quest for 3 Dog is one of my favorites in the game!

I spit chocolate milk all over my keyboard on the "Tulip" screenshot, (and then wonder why my laptop keyboard broke, rollinglaugh.gif )

Uh, one of these links is broken. (the one after Tulip)

OMG, how did she get to Button so fast?

I love how you stop the action! You must have the fastest hands on record! I have tried so many times to capture things like explosions - the fire has always died by the time I get the tilde key and t pressed, laugh.gif

I don't have a clue on this next one, is that little Brian Wilkes/Greyditch trigger? no wait, he didn't have a gun!

OMG. WTF is that thing? Urk, there goes my breakfast, laugh.gif

SubRosa
mALX: Hecate did jump down to the first little ledge outside the back of GNR. There are a couple of desks and file cabinets there to get some random loot from.

Try the one after Tulip now. I had to change the pic. The first was a little too dim. So I had to brighten it up a little.

This time going after the Declaration of Independance Hecate went with Sydney. They used her code to take the secret elevator down. Then Sydney said there were shortcuts they could use to sneak by most of the opposition. That was exactly what Hecate did. She stayed to the right, and was able to take a couple of side passages. There were only two robots or so that she had to kill along the way.

The last three pics are from that Wastelanders and Deathclaw world encounter I mentioned in the Wasteland Wanderings and Mojave Meanderings thread. The thing getting its head blown off at the end was the Deathclaw.

Acadian: Hecate has been spending all of her times in DC lately. So expect to see more familiar sights!

Turns out Hecate's fist was all it took to fix that satellite relay after all! laugh.gif

Sydney is a relic hunter that you can team up with in the National Archives. She will help you recover the Declaration of Independence.

This Button signed the Declaration of Independence! I don't think our beloved four-hooved Button did the same. wink.gif

I meant in that room the Virgo sits in. If you jump down from the top balcony to the next balcony down in a corner - (the one that can't be reached any other way) there is an Easter Egg room in there.

I have never gone with Sydney or used that elevator! In fact, I think this is the first time I've seen her! I usually enter via the back door and work my way to the front; then go down to the basement (get all the prewar books; loot; and grape Mentads, laugh.gif

Are you still able to get the Magna Carta (etc) going that way?

Man, that was one gross looking deathclaw then, lol. I'm way behind on that thread; need to catch up on a lot of threads around here.

HA! I love that cross bridge! I have considered making a little camp at the landing from it, lol.

Oh, I love that Dr. Handy!

Almost couldn't see the bullet in that screen, lol.

What the heck was going on with that Super Mutant? Urk!

Love the Ranger armor! I always choose it over the gun, it is great looking armor!

OMG, is she sitting on the bike? How did you get her to straddle a bike?

Ha! Hecate has gone underground! laugh.gif

Great shots!!!!

Acadian
Our Lady of Hope has seen better days, but love Hecate’s overwatch pose.

A nurse bot with a flamethrower – how clever is that?

Love Hecate’s snarl in 7.62 surgery, as well as her adherence to the sniper’s credo.

Oh noes, Ranger or no, losing your ponytail to a hat is sacrilege! ohmy.gif

Great shot on the mirocu motorbike.

Nice thing about about going to a bar with ghoul babes is that they make Hecate look even better than she already does. happy.gif
SubRosa
mALX: Oh, do you mean the room with the big rocket in it? That has two secret areas behind the staircases. You can jump on the railing, and then drop down to a little ledge that takes you into the corners under the staircase. You can do it twice in that room.

I usually never go with Sydney either. I decided to give it a try this time out to see what it is like. It made things a lot easier, since I avoided most of the robots.

I always think it is really cool crossing that makeshift bridge between the hospital and the Statesman Hotel. It is little things like that add up to make FO3 a really fun game.

I got Hecate on the motorcycle with the same sitting on ledge pose in this pic. I just stood her on top of the motorcycle's seat, turned the post on, and moved the camera around to find the best angle so it looks like she is riding it.

Acadian: Everything in the Fallout games has seen better days! laugh.gif

Its a good thing these bots they sold to the general public have flamethrowers, buzzsaws, and lasers. But I guess that is kind of like RL. It is completely legal to own a flamethrower in the US!

I had to take the one pic with the helmet and the armor. She has not worn it since. But Hecate does keep it around in case of really dangerous situations.

Yeah, Fallout 3 was made with humor and real thought about making the game fun throughout. (ESO is too)

"The White House" - this looks like Ground Zero! It looks familiar, but I'm not remembering it. Is it an area we can't explore? And if so, if you toggle clipping; is there anything interesting to find in there?

I do remember seeing those ramps at that 4 way intersection though, lol.

"My work is done here" is just spectacular! Awesome shot!

Your PC must be some fantastic rig, Megaton is so clear and I can even read the "Reilly's Rangers" tag clearly!

These are some really great shots of the DC area!

Oh no, is that Dunwich? ("Long Way Down")

BWAAHAA! I remember the first time I saw those mole rat races! There is a ton of chems on top of the dumpster on the side - I dropped down on it while sneaking to nab them, and suddenly was surrounded by raiders. I was scared = too weak to fight that many; plus the molerats.

Instead they started racing! Till they saw me, then I was killed, laugh.gif

Great shots!

Acadian
More great shots of Hecate’s tour of DC. The White House looks pretty much like ground zero. Neat seeing all the Metro stations; I should think the devs had fun with the underground tunnel system. Nice shot of Hecate walking away from the flames behind her in ‘work is done’. I love her sneaking past Captain Cosmos and his Moon Monkey! And, of course, always enjoy seeing Hecate doing her sniper thing.

Oh, is that a portapotty with the 'occupied' sign lit up in DC Ruins?
SubRosa
mALX: The White House must have been ground zero! You can get down into the exposed basement. There is a sewer/tunnel nearby that you can go through to get the White House. It is the one with the crashes motorcycle, and the Evel Knevel wannabe who got his head stuck in the overhead light.

The clarity of those pics is just because of my modified Fellout mod. That is all.

Long way down, with all hole going down through multiple floors, is from Mama Dolce's. Hecate found it a few days ago, and did some Commie hunting.

Usually when I come across the molerat racetrack it is empty. I think there have only been two or three times in all the years I have played FO3 that the raiders and rats have been there racing. So it is nice when it does happen.

Acadian: You should play FO3, just to see what DC looks like in the game. Or New Vegas for the same reason.

That's not a port a potty, it is a Pulowski Preservation Shelter. It is basically a coin-operated fallout shelter. They are all over DC. Naturally they are absolutely no protection, given the number of bodies found in them.

That sewer exit into the White House exposed basement - is that where you find the glowing one and the fat man up on that ledge and really high radiation?

Ooh, Takoma! Home of the Baseball cap and Behemoth, lol.

Hecate is taking a break and reflecting at the Lincoln Memorial, right? So, I don't see anyone standing, are there dead slaver bodies in parts lying about?

Love the PLulowski shelters! The only one who seems to have benefitted from using one is little Brian from Greyditch, lol.

Hecate loves to pose under Nuka signs, and she kind of does look like Jenny - the Pepsi Cola girl from that alternate Era, lol.

Sunset = Love that scene!

SubRosa
Acadian: I loved that view of Takoma. As soon as Hecate stepped out of the metro and looked up at that hill, I knew that was just begging for a pic.

That is indeed Honest Abe in the background of the taking a break pic. Sadly, he lost his head. But Hecate will eventually get around to getting him a new one.

The Washington Manliness has indeed seen better days, but it is still erect! laugh.gif

mALX: You are right about the White House basement. There is a Fat Man there, and a couple of glowing ones. Maybe one of them is Henry Kissinger... wink.gif Plus a lot of radiation.
