Ooh what is that in pic 1? Is pic 2 still the SKS bullpup?

The new firearm is a Kriss Vector .45 ACP, it's also in picture 2 in front of the bullpup. It's about as close to a SMG or Machine pistol I'm going to get.

It looks very cool! Definitely be a sweet lil home defense gun!

Thanks happy.gif. the first time I saw a Kriss Vector was in Kansas when I went into a gun store and saw one on sale. Same caliber but had a stock and extended barrel but it was enough for me to fall in love with it. Now since mine was sold as a pistol there's some VERY weird gun laws surrounding it, if you get crossed eyed I understand. If I get a a stock for it I have to pay an additional $200.00 Federal stamp cause I'm changing it from a pistol to a rifle; HOWEVER, it also has a short barrel so a stock also changes that to a class three weapon (basically it'll become an assault weapon) and you need a special licence for those types of firearms. Now here where things get weird there's a "stock" you can get for it that's an arm brace: seen here. You can get that without the $200.00 stamp but you can't hold it up to your arm like a rifle stock. Although I see the reason for these types of laws and I do find it fair somewhat it's still a confusing mess sometimes wacko.gif .

Well, I'm not fond of the Kriss but hey, I'd take an unregistered version of it without even flinching biggrin.gif

I swear I didn't know he did a video on the Kriss Vector.
Dark Reaper
Bought a "stock"/ arm brace for my Kriss Vector, I also had to buy an adapter for it so whenever I get it in I'll post a photo of it.

Bought a new rifle case to house my Kriss Vector....needs more locks tongue.gif .
Dark Reaper
Sorry for the muti post but I found some information on class 3 weapons: http://www.oldglorygunsandammo.com/nfa-class-iii-weapons .
this helps a little on weapons like my Kriss Vector but I'm still cloudy in other areas. I know Short Barrel Rifles are a class 3 but then you run into unique circumstances with my Vector and "Arm Braces" and By the Nine is it a mess.
Dark Reaper
Here's my last Kriss Vector updates but I got my order in today happy.gif.

New and improved Kriss Vector.

What the arm brace looks like.

It's a .45 ACP. Getting the new adapter on it was odd cause you had to drill out the top part of the pin of the old one but once that got out of the the rest was cake and now my Kriss Vector looks awesome.

I'm thinking around the first buying another WASR-10 aka AK-47, I really missed that rifle. It was easy to strip and clean and shot like a dream even though I needed a front sighting tool. I might put one in layaway around the first.

Khajiit was surprised at how unsubstantial it felt in his hands, yet he knew it would do exactly what it was meant to do. If this one doesn't find an SKS within the year, he may reconsider the AK (even though this one really doesn't like the idea of owning an assault rifle).

This one likes the idea of owning an "assault rifle", but this one can't have one. Only the criminals are allowed to dry.gif

Khajiit wants to make clear that he wasn't dogging on folks who like owning/would like to own assault rifles. He just doesn't feel it's the right fit for him. A good semi-automatic intermediate range rifle with a low magazine capacity would suit his rifle desires just fine!

Of course! smile.gif I didn't mean for my post to bash on you, sorry if it came out that way. Not my intention at all smile.gif I like most guns and while I don't need an assault rifle I sure would like to have one. Most likely because I can't have it tongue.gif

Everyone has their own preferences and that's how it should be. Some people like AK's and some Khajiit don't. And some people would have kept the .44 gift gun and stayed away from the .500 that he sold anyway.

What? No, I had no one in particular in mind hehe.gif

I will say an AK-47 (or rather a WASR-10) is by far the most simplest rifle to own, like I've said it's so easy to clean and maintain I should kick myself in the ass for getting rid of mine. Well once I do get one back I won't sell it again.

Is there a decrease in quality in the newer AK's or it it the same as always?

Just so I know when I ask the guy under the overpass for one wink.gif

AK's are probably one of the best deigned rifles that need little in maintenance, even if you get one from a shady character tongue.gif.

I know I got plenty of AK or SKS ammo.

Still it is sad that some countries (and places here in the US) that either restrict or ban their citizens from owning these types of weapons. Sure some have used them for ill but there are good people that use them for good too.
mirocu
Some type of restrictions are good, and I do support background checks wholeheartedly as well as the use of common sense. I mean, there is absoluetly no reason to not allow me to have any type of firearm I want, basically. I'm already a hunter, I'm of Swedish origin and I have no record whatsoever. Sigh.

Oh, well. Maybe I can get an AK in 150 years when it's their turn to no longer be considered a firearm. I'll get back to you on that.. wink.gif

The problem with the background checks in America is---there's already background checks in play when you buy a firearm. This is the biggest argument in every gun debate in America.
Anti-Gun People: "We need background checks!"
Pro-Gun People: "We already HAVE them!!!"
I mean as long as you're not a felon you can own a firearm that's everyone in America rights but the main problem is people want to use advance BG checks to predict if a person going to use a firearm unlawfully and you can't do that, this isn't Minority Report, you can't look at a person and say you can't have this cause I think you're going to use it to kill an innocent person. No one's can predict when a person's going to snap at some point and even if that person doesn't have access to a firearm (like I've said thousands of times on FB) if that person's sight is set to kill they'll use whatever they can get their hands on or use their own hands, you can't punish the millions of other lawful gun user for an act of one person.
Sorry to rant for so long but as you can see I've been in several pro and anti-gun debates on Facebook biggrin.gif.
mirocu
Yeah, you don't need guns to be dangerous, as we've seen time and time again.

Inanimate objects are never the problem; individuals are. What baffles me is that I can have guns and as much ammo as I want, and yet I'm limited to four guns and only hunting rifles. What makes the fifth gun so dangeorus? Oh, yeah. Political agendas.

Keep up the good fight, Reaper! wink.gif

Depending on the state or as Hickok45 will say one of the "free states" you'll need a class 3 gun license, get on a 2yr waiting period and I think have the ATF come by for an inspection cause you can't sell a fully automatic weapon. At least that's what I heard.

Oh ok got it. Now Khajiit's next question would be: "Why would a civilian need a full auto assault rifle?". tongue.gif

Khajiit still does not understand why someone would want such a thing. Because "cool"? Maybe Khajiit is just too practical to understand.
mirocu
Well, you can argue that about anything. I for instance don't understand why so many people threw out their perfectly fine TVs just because plasma-TVs came out. Same people who then threw those out because LED came along. I also fail to grasp my own brother who buys a new smartphone every six months even though he never breaks any and never loses them.

It's about what interests you and if something doesn't interest you, obviously you are not going to understand why someone would want it. I can only speak for myself but full-auto fire is a kick, I noticed that with my electric airsoft guns - it's so much fun! smile.gif

But I do prefer semi-auto. Full auto is fun for awhile but not in the long run.

Yeah, a specific gun type that he likes smile.gif
TheCheshireKhajiit
QUOTE(mirocu @ Apr 20 2017, 12:07 PM) *

Yeah, a specific gun type that he likes smile.gif

Well besides the SKS he is currently obsessing over, he doesn't really have a preference. Khajiit likes rifles, but he sees guns as tools to perform certain tasks. In a war situation, Khajiit has no doubt that a full auto weapon would be instrumental for defensive actions or for suppressive fire during assaults. For most civilian applications though, this one feels like a good semi-automatic (whether a hand gun, shotgun, or intermediate range rifle) would be sufficient. Khajiit doesn't really like bolt action rifles, preferring the ease of semi-automatic rifles. In shotguns he likes pump or semi-auto, but cannot deny that the old break action double barrels have a certain appeal as well! Handguns, well Khajiit has only had experience with revolvers, but he would like to try an auto-loader.
mirocu
Have to say I'm pretty much with you there, Khajiit. I do like me some autoloaders, but I'd also throw in the bolt actions because even though I have a semi for hunting, I do prefer a bolt action at those occasions. Sadly though, as I have stated before, I'm not allowed to get more guns now without "specific reasons", whatever that means...

Khajiit thinks bolt actions are probably more accurate at longer ranges, but really unless you are a trained sniper or just a really good shot, you will probably not be taking shots longer than a few hundred yards/meters. That's why Khajiit thinks semi-auto rifles are more versatile. A semi-auto carbine type rifle could be useful for hunting or home defense (with the right caliber) where as a bolt action rifle is really only useful for hunting or sniping. For instance, Khajiit does not think he'd want to be facing a thug with a semi-auto hand gun or revolver while wielding a bolt action rifle.
mirocu
Main reason I would prefer a bolt action again when hunting is because sometimes you may not want to cycle another round in immediately. Then again, we were taught to always reload after a shot so go figure.. tongue.gif There is the thing too about bolts having slightly more power due to all gas pushing the bullet without any of it being used to operate the reloading mechanism, but in real life circumstances I'd say it's negligible.

What I would like for home defense is the Benelli MR1 Argo in .223 Remington. Though over here we can only get it with a five-round mag.

That's a cool looking gun! Khajiit wasn't aware Benelli made rifles, interesting!
