What we have here is a failure in the jelly flowing department! It's an AR-15 I want to see the jelly flowing tongue.gif .

I am jelly! Honest, guv'na!

I'm just not that impressed, it looks just like the one I got from a truck driver down at the gas station at mid- Hold on. Someone's at the door, demanding me to open.

I'll be back biggrin.gif

Can't wait to hear the news.

New gun arrival!

Yes, it's a .68 caliber paintball marker. I got it together with two 7-round mags, a leg holster, some rubber balls and rubber-coated steel balls. The reason I got it was I wanted something less than lethal for home defense. I have modern guns and black powder guns but less than lethal can be good too. It produces up to 14-16 joules of power which is plenty enough to hurt and hopefully deter. Best thing about it; I can pop in a CO2 cartridge and just leave it there forever. When it's needed I just have to pull the trigger once to pop it and it's ready to be used with a second pull of the trigger. Perfect nightstand gun!

I also got it because I reckon it's lots of fun to play around with biggrin.gif

Can you put pepper rounds in it?

Right, can’t have you being able to properly defend yourself. Got it. tongue.gif

Rubber balls work too if shot in the face/neck/head area. Plus I don't risk inhailing the pepper myself laugh.gif

I’d worry about just pissing the person off. Maybe keep one of your BPGs handy, just in case. Lol
mirocu
Well, that may be a concern in some situations for sure. But at other times one might in fact NOT want to seriously harm whoever is intruding because it may not be called for it. I have given this a lot of thought and I did come to the conclusion that less than lethal can indeed be useful at times. But yes, in other situations it may not be the best choice by which point one might favor something real.

Btw, did I mention I have a blackpowder shotgun? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Dark Reaper
I picked me up a couple of these for my rifle.

Tell me about it. My Nerf Minigun has a 50 round drum on it and it takes a good amount of time to load just to fire it for a minute and a half to empty it---but it's so fun to shoot biggrin.gif .

I remember going to a fair type kinda thing with rides and all. I loved the automatic pea-shooters they had! And yeah, I do not want to get rid of my autoloading .30-06. I've been spoiled! tongue.gif

I had a 22 revolver before buying the 9mm semi-automatic = yeah; spoiled is a good word for it. Can't ever go back to using a revolver again.

mirocu
I want both!

In my world, since I can't get modern versions, I have a CO2-powered Colt SAA but I also want a CO2-powered semi-auto pistol. I used to have my eyes on the S&W M&P 40 but now I rather want the Beretta 92 A1. Not only does it have a really heavy blowback but it also has a full auto mode. Yes, unrealistic feature seing as the gun otherwise works exactly like the real thing. But hey, don't have to use it, right?

It also field strips like the real gun and slide locks back after the last shot.

I figure if my life is in danger; I don't want just 6 bullets and then an awkward reload (single bullet at a time; sticking them properly in the six little holes while your hands are shaking and you are probably running for your life ) reload when I could have 15-18 hollowpoints and a fully loaded (magazine) ready to be shoved in with ease to give me another 15 shots in just seconds if needed. Yeah; I gotta go with the semi-automatic every time; I don't even want another revolver again. (although that silver-plated 22 was cute and fit in my purse, lol).

mirocu
I bought that marker for non-lethal defense as it hits hard with big rubberclad steel balls. And I did, much like you, opt for a mag-fed gun with seven balls which I can quickly replace with the second mag over a six shot revolver. Not that it replaces a real gun of course but I have other things if it comes to that.

Totally unrelated thought: Too bad I sold my excavator... wink.gif

In rifle related news:
I might hold off getting a drum mag for now, it's spring time and I need to get flea and tick collars for my dogs. Besides I have 3 mags for a total of 70 rounds of AR-15 goodness so we good happy.gif. Speaking of which I might buy another 30 round mag just to even out, two small and two large mags...Symmetry people, symmetry lol!

New gun!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

My second purchase this year - the CO2-powered Beretta M92A1! First impression; Crikey! ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

Elaboration: Really heavy gun, this thing does NOT feel like a toy. One could easily mistake it for a real gun based only on the weight. Everything is metal apart from the grip and the slide is heavy, including the spring. Blowback should make a good kick for sure. And it's not just for show; just like with a real gun when the slide cycles it chambers a new round and cocks the hammer, allowing for true single action. This gun is also double action for the first shot if one so chooses.

Got some more CO2 cartridges and 3000 steel BBs at the same time and together with the TIPX I have summer occupation done!

SubRosa
Wow, that looks just like the real thing.

Wow, that looks just like the real thing.

Yeah, it's fully licensed by Beretta via Umarex so it has all the markings it should have, I believe. Again, the weight of this thing is impressive!

One thing of note; it's supposed to have a full-auto option but that has been removed in my country. Would have been fun but semi-auto is the way to go anyway so I don't miss it smile.gif

You have a real one of these, Sub?
SubRosa
No, I don't have any pistols. I prefer rifles. Pistols tend to have a high pitched sound when they fire that I don't like. Rifles have a deeper bass sound. While louder, they aren't are piercing.

Someone hasn't shot a .22 LR laugh.gif

Seriously, I'd rather fire my .30-06 without muffs than my .22LR. It's like a whip! Especially painful in an enclosed area like when we trained for hog hunting. We went into a small shed of sorts and no one but me had earplugs blink.gif

Those are the nice high dollar CO2 pistols. Those things are amazing on how real they look and feel.

Indeed. This one was one of the most expensive pistols they had. I'm still not 100% sure they didn't send me a real one tongue.gif

Over the past few years I've sold four old airguns and now gotten two new ones I really am fond of so I'm happy biggrin.gif

My Brother in Law showed me one that Japan sells that uses a special type of compressed gas to fire but the whole thing looks so much like the real thing, I bet an expert gunsmith could strip it and turn it into a proper functioning firearm.

Speaking of firearms I'm thinking about getting a .357 Magnum for carrying around, either that or a .40 Cal. Depends which one I can find cheap.
mirocu
Can't go wrong with a .357 Magnum!

In the meantime, why not CC that nerf minigun? biggrin.gif

But I love my AR-15 with the $20.00 RDS sight on it biggrin.gif . Seriously I bought this holographic RDS sight with a dot style selector on it and it only cost me $20.00 bucks on Amazon where other RDS sights are in the triple digit range. I know you get what you pay for but this scope is pretty solid. I still need to take my rifle to the range one of these days, I just haven't had the time or money.
mirocu
Beginning to learn how to field strip that Beretta. More of a pain than I thought it's be and it involves the magazine somehow. Not that I need to do it, I just want to because it's possible laugh.gif

Well...looks like I won't be shopping at my local gun store anymore. For some reason they refused to do business with me and my Dad so it looks like I'll be getting any new guns at either Academy or another Gun Store I go to.

Damn Reaps, that sucks! Did they say why? Not that I’m asking you to post that, it’s really not any of our business, but I just wonder if they gave you any indication as to why they are refusing service.
mirocu
That's weird. Haven't you been quite a good customer to them?
