I don't know. When Hecate killed Moriarity, she left town to lie low (she went to Riverwood to stay with Ralof, he knows how to lie low... ). I think as long as you are in a different cell it should not matter though.

@SubRosa - Deeno is my first character that is a real bigot towards Ghouls. The fight with Roy Philips was very anti-climatic compared to other ghouls, Roy passed Deeno without even noticing him and one shot in the head was enough to put the pre-war police officer down.

@mALX - I have no idea whether guards follow you in your suite if you make them hostile. I can try it, though, then I'll reload.

There are some places where enemies won't follow you, for instance inside metros. If you start a fight with raiders outside any metro and run inside, they won't come after you, instead they'll patiently be waiting outside.

BTW, when does Crowley came after you?

@Acadian - indeed, his Tenpenny suite is sort of his home in the Wasteland. The favorite part of the suite is the balcony, of course.

Acadian: Arms reduction is a high priority for Persephone. She brings peace to the Wasteland 1 limb at a time...

What I found funny about the police hat is how her hair clips right through it. Usually your hair gets stuffed up under the hat, but Persephone's has been just going right through whatever headgear she wears. I think I have that fixed now, but I have not tested it with everything.


mALX: This is New Vegas. None of the pics are in a Vault. Most are from some utility tunnels and the sewers, and the last is from an old hotel on the Westside of Vegas.

The ghouls are really creepy in these games. I think they are much more scary than the true undead in the Elder Scrolls games.


Renee: Greatswords are perfect for zombie smiting. There is even a company that sells that which has a video on the best zombie slaying weapons! Here it is!


Lopov: Actually Persephone did find that axe, and she took it home to keep as a souvenir. But I kept thinking of the npc in Little Lamplight named Knock-Knock...

That was a ghoul reaver in that big pack. Thankfully Persephone's greatsword is zombie-approved. So it slays them quite handily.

That last pic is from the quest from Aerotech Park to investigate the recent disappearances. Before that pic was taken Persephone had talked to St. James and another guy outside in the street. One of them back-talked her, so she killed them both. Afterward she went into the hotel to search their rooms to find out if they had actually done anything wrong. Turns out they were slavers. So things worked out well...

The green sky extends quite far, to the east it cleared only when reaching the Super Duper Mart, for instance. And getting too close to the ruins will get you a hefty dose of radiation.

Deeno's Karma is Evil, thus Regulators (some kind of bounty hunters in the Capital Wasteland) are now on his tail. On the contrary, if your Karma is good, then Talon mercenaries seek your head.

Well its good to see that Deeno is keeping regular!

He comes after you if you go get that power armor from Fort Constantine even if the quest isn't running when you take the armor. One day while in your home sleeping/changing clothes/etc. - he just shows up inside and tells you that you took something that belonged to him.

And it doesn't matter if you have a follower there or not, they let him by for some reason.

And if you kill him there, you have dead ghoul stinking up your house for at least 3 days. I learned to leave the house so he follows me, get out in the Wasteland somewhere and confront him again, lol.

Holy Cow, all the way to the Super Duper Mart? I guess that makes sense that it would, they probably measured the fallout from historical records to determine how far they should make that.

I think Bethesda did an outstanding job with this version of the quest, it is so amazing they put all this into just one version of what the player could do with that quest, that is amazing, awesome, and thank you so much for sharing it with us !!!

I have never done that (because I always lived in Megaton, lol), but one time I blew up the Citadel just to see what it looked like; then reloaded a previous save and undid it.

This was the hardest thing for me about playing an evil character; because I work with the Regulators in all my games; but if you are evil they are coming for you instead - it really drives it home that you have gone in a bad direction when your co-bounty hunters are sent for you.

mALX: The Deathclaw Promontory was a really tough place. She used up her Stealth Boys getting sneak attack criticals on the Deathclaws, but there were still about six left. She had to leave and come back after dark. Then she was able to sneak up on them one at a time and kill them all. She can handle two head to head in an open fight, but no more than that. Even then she chews through stimpacks like crazy.

That big artillery piece is at Hoover Dam, it is right by where President Kimball speaks. So it is an NCR gun.

I could see it was at the Dam, but couldn't remember if the name of that gun was a "Howitzer" or not; and I knew Caesar's camp had a Howitzer because they need a firing pin for it, but didn't know if that was the same gun-type thing that was in your screenshot at the Dam or not (if that makes sense). I know what I'm trying to ask about, but can't seem to get it to come out right, lol. Sorry about that.

@mALX - the radiation increases only in the direct vicinity of Megaton, otherwise not, so Springvale and the broad area surrounding Megaton are safe.

@Acadian - he encountered two more patrols of Regulators, they usually attack when you emerge from one of the metro exits. He dealt with the second one in the standard way while the third one was killed by Super Mutants before they even found Deeno. He only knew they were after him when he found a bounty on his head on their bodies.

Ghoul Moira is back! And she is turning a pile of junk into a mountain of caps, how can Deeno refuse an offer like that?

A suit of Ranger Armor makes for a pretty good payday. Looks like Deeno bled for it though!

If anyone can look on the bright side of their town getting blown up it is Moira, lol.

Back at work he is indeed. As much as he likes living a luxurious life at the Tenpenny Tower, he prefers dangers of the wasteland more.

He found the entire situation comical so he agreed to help Moira when she offered possible rewards. Though in the next second he tried to lie to her that he already visited Minefield but his Speech was too low and Moria saw through his scheme.

Deeno didn't get the Bobblehead, most of the time I prefer roleplaying in such a way that my characters don't know what I know about the game. Besides, Deeno prefers shooting instead of burglarizing.

He indeed has a soft spot for Reilly, that's why he agreed to help her, as it'll be seen in the coming screenies, he doesn't even wear armor which he was given as a reward.

He went back to the hotel because he was almost out of ammo by the time he saved Rangers. He primarily uses the sniper rifle but .308 rounds aren't that common, so he had to temporarily switch to a hunting rifle, fortunately .32 rounds are found on almost every Super Mutant.

Deeno could always crush Moira's dreams and talk her out of writing the Survival Guide. Then he'd get the Dream Crusher perk!

308 is hard to come by, I always buy it up even before I get any gun that uses it; because as soon as you get a gun that needs 308 ammo, the vendors will be out of it every time you run out, lol.

Same with the MF ammo for Harkness's A3-21 Plasma rifle or the .45 ammo for that Blackhawk gun.

Like you said, the .32; .10; and 5 mm seems to be everywhere, but the guns that use them aren't the best protection, lol.


I guess if I was going to blow up Megaton, I'd have to clean house first - rob the armory and all the houses for the pre-war books and Quantum Colas; the Bobblehead (which actually isn't stealing, you can follow him into his house and take it right in front of him and he doesn't care as long as that is all you take).

But stuff like the rare collectible book of poems in Billy Creel's house or the holographs on the Replicated man, etc - but the armory - most def would have to rob that armory, lol.

And speaking of robbing armories - has anyone successfully robbed the armory in Rivet City? I must have died a thousand times trying, lol.







That is a great perk, I actually missed it the last time I played when I did the full "Wasteland Survivor" - without Moira's added repair skills I ended up having to go to Point Lookout for good repairs, lol.

Its funny, because in the Real World, .308 Winchester is probably the most common cartridge in America.

So far as I know you can crush her dreams at any time. Just follow the dialogue options where you ask her about her research and what the point of it is.

I think the bottlecap schematic she gives you after Minefield is probably the most useful reward she gives you. After that is just just things like a few stealth boys, a few chems, and one Big Book of Science (after Robco). So you could do all but the last mission for the XP, and then crush her dreams. But at least do Minefield to get the bottlecap schematic.

Yeah, I usually do all the quests but the last 1-2 before crushing her dreams; and I even did it with good karma characters because the perk was so awesome! You just have to convince her that her book will get people killed to make her back off of writing it. (or is stupid, or she isn't qualified to write it, etc).

Afterward she is no longer so perky; she becomes a whiner - but boy can she repair your gear better! Not to mention you gain something like 50% less chance of being hit by enemies. That perk was one of my favorites, even if I did have to turn Moira into a depressed emo to get it.

But since you/Deeno already turned her into a ghoul, no sense having her be a perky one, when she could be a depressed one,

I was feeling slightly nervous when Deeno was about to shoot this guy. If you miss, the scripted event is triggered, which causes a massive explosion, most likely resulting in your death. But fortunately Snake eyes killed the mad preacher with the first shot.

I love that little mini-quest, the first time there I got blown to bits repeatedly trying to pick up the mini-nukes and mines before he could set them off, lol. Finally realized if I shot him first I could pick them up at my leisure, lol.

I'm dying to know what he said to Reilly to get her to say that !!!

If you kill him, all mini nukes and frag mines disarm automatically and you can pick them up. Since Deeno killed him with the first shot, the preacher couldn't trigger them.

If Deeno had failed, he wouldn't be alive anymore, since I play his game as Dead-is-Dead.

He provoked Reilly by saying her that he wants to get paid first before giving her a debrief from the hotel, and then made her even more angry by saying that a merc should accept any kind of job, even a dirty one, as long as it pays well enough.

Yeah, I know, that is how I learned to do it after my initial several blow ups - I was asking about the screen "Explosion at Seward Square" - what explosion was that, if it wasn't the big one the madman sets off?

That explosion was caused by Deeno. He figured that he'll spent less bullets by blowing up the truck instead of shooting the super mutant brute standing atop it, so he blew up the truck and badly damaged the mutie though he still had to finish it off with the hunting rifle.
