Very clever to continue Rattler as a ghoul. Looks like he's been to Persephone's pal Darryl's cosmetologist. biggrin.gif

I didn't think Rattler could be any more ugly than he was.

Pretty cool how Rattler's vengeance also provided freedom for all those slaves. A great batch of shots from the snake's big finale.
SubRosa
Looks like the slavers got Krampus instead of Santa! Time to see who has been naughty and nice!

Rattler is chopping Paradise Falls down to size!

Moving on the bright side far to the west, straight to the Mojave Wasteland...

Despite being shot in his head and buried alive, Mit lives! Looks like the men that attacked him weren't just lousy shooters, they also didn't bury him deep enough.

Mit walks! The friendly doc was kind enough to clean his clothes before returning them to their rightful owner.

Mit from up close - mod-added earring, pendant and sunglasses.

Meeting Sunny Smiles immediately made Mit feel better, so he decided to follow the Sun.

To get back in shape, Sunny made Mit practice by shooting empty bottles though she was obviously more focused on Mit than on how many bottles he actually shot.

Last bottle down, time to shoot some alive and moving targets, so Cheyenne, Sunny & Mit ventured south to clear the area of geckos.

Mit switched to his 9mm pistol and scored a few headshots.
SubRosa
I would definitely follow the sun too. Or is that the moon? wink.gif laugh.gif

It does look like Sunny has more than a few smiles for Mit. It must be his good nature. smile.gif

Looks like Mit's good nature does not extend to geckos!
Acadian
Like SubRosa, I think I'd follow Sunny too. No doubt what Mit is looking at as he does so. Mit looks great and seems to be a good shot. goodjob.gif
Renee
Mit Tsubishi the car guy is so freeking hot. wub.gif My goodness.

And there's a shot with Rattler carrying his axe that is awesome too. I can say this now that he's not around anymore. :0~~~~~~

The End is awesome, like a movie fade out. Bye bye mean snake guy.
Lopov
@SubRosa - I chuckled at your good nature related remarks. laugh.gif

@Acadian - Sunny is definitely one of the prettiest NPCs in the vanilla game even without any mods she's stunning. She's also popular on Nexus for obvious reasons, you can also hire her as a companion.

@Renee - your poor eyes suffered when Rattler was around so now you should relax them by watching Mit. bigsmile.gif

Not just Sunny, but Trudy as well can't help but like Mit. (Speech check succeeded)

Mit wandered a distance north of Goodsprings and came upon a bunch of cazadors, the most poisonous Mojave predators. One was already dead and the other was wounded from a fight with some mercenary which it killed but Mit finished this big one off.

He returned to Goodsprings at night. (dark nights thanks to Fellout)

The following morning it was 'time to look alive' to quote Sunny. Powder Gangers were about to attack the town!

The town's militia led by Trudy positioned themselves in the town center.

Powder Gangers never expected such resistance!

With their leader Joe Cobb dead, the gunfight was officially over.

Ringo, the merchant wanted by Powder Gangers, also intended to head north to get back to his employees, so he and Mit teamed up.

Mit bought some hollow point bullets for cazadors and swapped his regular ammo with more powerful ones.

And so the courier and the merchant headed north...
Acadian
Looks like Mit is off to a great start. Sounds like a good fight with Mit, the dog, Sunny and Trudy. Trudy seems pretty easy to look at as well. . . .

Leaving Goodsprings for more adventure!
SubRosa
The Mojave Institute of Technology kills bugs dead!

I hope Mit has lots of fun and meets nice people in his adventures in the North! laugh.gif
Renee
I really like that nighttime shot of the saloon. That's how my game would look, if I were playing New Vegas.

Congrads on defeating those Power Gangers! I know nothing about how this works, but it seems like you did this different from whatever happens in vanilla.
Lopov
@Acadian - I agree, Trudy is also a sight to see. Sunny's dog Cheyenne was very useful against geckos.

@SubRosa - Mit met a lot of friendly folk in the north, and even more friendly creatures. Shots below!

@Renee - vanilla nights are way too bright, so a mod that darkens them, is a must for me. It varies on where you are located, though - if close to New Vegas, nights are brighter because there's a lot of light coming from the Strip but in a middle of the desert nights can be pitch black.

Mit & Ringo continued north, passing war totems, marking the territory of the Great Khans.

Ringo missed the young cazador but Mit hit it.

And then he went for the big one.

Dealing with cazadors, Mit & Ringo continued north and attracted attention from Vipers at Bonnie Springs.

Vipers, especially their two well-armed leaders were tough opponents, and while Ringo was occupied back in Bonnie Springs, Mit tried to lure one of the leaders away from the settlement so he could deal with her alone. Fortunately he ran into some friendly mercs a distance east of Bonnie Springs and they gladly came to help Mit, though he was the one to get the last shot.

Mercs attacked other Vipers too, but the other remaining leader was tough to bring down and he managed to kill one of the mercs. DynaMit came to help, and though they couldn't settle on who actually killed the merc, all that mattered was that he was gone.

The following day Mit & Ringo ventured deeper into the Great Khan territory, and were welcomed by the fifty shades of red.
SubRosa
Still killing bugs dead I see.

DynaMit has an explosive personality! laugh.gif
Acadian
Wow, those war totems look pretty grim! I think I’d stay away.

Bug huntin’! laugh.gif

Bonnie Springs – now full of little blown up / blown off Viper bits. At least Vipers aren’t as hard to kill as *shudder* a Rattler. ohmy.gif

Fifty shades of red is a gorgeous desert shot! happy.gif
Lopov
@SubRosa - Viper leaders at Bonnie Springs were notoriously difficult to bring down at low levels. If it weren't for traveling mercs, Mit had a plan to lure Viper to nearby bighorners or fire geckos.

@Acadian - fifty shades of red is supposed to be the Red Rock Canyon, home of the Great Khans that mark their territory by war totems. Those totems definitely don't have the same meaning as ones in Valenwood. wink.gif

_____

_____

Though Great Khans weren't the friendlies sort around, they allowed Mit & Ringo to rest and resupply at their base.

Mit couldn't resist to "take a look" at their well-equipped armory and "borrow" some ammunition. Do you see him?

He also sneaked around the Papa Khan's house and exposed Caesar's plans with the Khans which ended in Caesar's representative in the canyon being gunned down.

The following day they went on, entering the territory of the Fiends and immediately gained attention of mad Violet and her dogs. Mit is carrying the trail carbine which he took from the fallen Viper leader.

When her dogs were dead, Violet herself came on the scene.

Audience didn't like her too much so her act was short.

Not far from Violet's camp, another mad Fiend resided - Cook-Cook, the notorious rapist and master chef. He set Mit on fire but that didn't stop our hero from killing Cook-Cook. Then he used his own weapon to bring down the remaining Fiends.

Mit & Ringo were close to leave the territory of the Fiends but not before they killed some more of them.

Now New Vegas wasn't far away anymore.
Renee
QUOTE(Lopov @ Oct 3 2016, 02:17 PM) *

Ha ha ha I knew this was coming!

Hey, the dynamite in the DynaMit picture... is that vanilla? Good job Beth, if so. Good job modder #3,204 if not.

I like the Mit & Ringo side-by-side pic. Like a close-up during an action show on TV, ha ha
Lopov
@Renee - there has to be a Lopov shot from time to time, right? tongue.gif

Dynamites are vanilla, they're mostly used by Powder Gangers, former prisoners that used dynamite to work on rail lines but eventually figured out that they can use dynamite for other purposes too.

Mit & Ringo stopped at Gun Runners where their Protectron Vendor, secured inside an inaccessible cabin, was selling the best weapons and ammunition in the Mojave Wasteland. Mit bought the 5.56 pistol and ammunition both for this gun and for his trail carbine.

Bidding farewell to each other, Ringo headed back to the Crimson Caravan Company and Mit headed to Freeside, the suburbs of New Vegas.

However, he was denied entry to New Vegas. Neither was he a registered citizen, nor did he have 5,000 caps to pass the credit check.

*I use a mod to increase the credit check from 1,000 to 5,000. Also, this time I decided not to do the King's quest to become a fake citizen, instead Mit decided to collect 5,000 caps.

He headed to nearby Camp McCarran, a base of NCR operations in the Mojave, and got an assignment from dr. Hildern to retrieve some important data from Vault 22. Mit teamed up with Little Buster, a bounty hunter, and they headed towards the vault but not before they rested in an abandoned motel. Too bad the room was already occupied.

The following morning it was time to move (or to fly). Little Buster had troubles keeping up with Mit.

Before heading to Vault 22, though, Mit & LB decided to decapitate Cook-Cook and Violet. Gruesome stuff but back when Mit killed them, he didn't know that those particular fiends are worth a lot to the NCR.

With heads jingling in their pockets, they took a shortcut to Vault 22. Before getting to it, they were greeted by ferocious flying hunters. They got bitten and poisoned but in the end they prevailed.

At last they made it to Vault 22.
SubRosa
Sneaky Mit is getting the five finger discount from the Khans!

Looks like Mit is a pretty hard core diplomat too!

Who let the dogs out?

Looks like Mit and Ringo were out picking violets...

Mit is a hottie in that pic with Cook-Cook!

But he is the Iron Chef in the end.

Welcome to New Vegas!

Looks like Mit is going to have to prospect up some caps to get into Vegas. Or maybe get a forged passport?

Mit needs to check the vacancy sign before going in any strange motel rooms!

Mit has some Hulk super-leaping in the motel parking lot! If I saw those scorpions I would jump like that too! laugh.gif

The verdant paradise of Vault 22! I thought that was one of the creepiest places in NV.
Lopov
@SubRosa - looks like Mit took some lessons from Lucius Skyrimwalker, now he can walk in the sky too. I agree about Vault 22 being one of the creepiest places. Mit later returned to Vault 22 and I expected for its denizens to respawn but looks like once they're dead, they're gone for good.

This is for the 1st time that my character enlisted the 1st recon to help, Nephi isn't that tough to bring down but I wanted to see snipers in action. Still, Mit needed a proof of Nephi's demise.

Ukrainian & Japanese

The NCR asked Mit to help them expose a traitor among their own officers. Mit was supposed to watch over who enters the airport control tower at night but he dozed off. Nonetheless, the traitor was still there when Mit stormed the place. Mit put the late Nephi's golf driver to good use and sent the traitorous officer on his last fly.

With enough caps jingling in his pockets and a new beret Mit was ready to march into New Vegas.

The club, Nephi's Golf Driver, has a special power attack, executable in VATS and outside, which knocks targets down but not before they "fly" for a while. That happened in Benny's case but he couldn't fly for a long time because he hit the ceiling.

In general, I'd say they managed to create quite some creepy and scary places in New Vegas, more than in FO3, except for Dunwich. The Quarry Junction in New Vegas is another example - it's not creepy, but it's scary because you never know from which direction a deathclaw will come. Even when my characters clear out the place, they can't help but turn around every time they pass through the quarry to check if any deathclaws still lurk there.
