Blondie used the chainsaw because she found out that Judge is (or actually, was) a child killer. Otherwise, she would kill him with either her energy pistol or her machete. But there's no mercy for child killers.

She hasn't used the chainsaw ever since, so dust gathers on it in her motel room in Novac. That is, until she stumbles upon someone who'll deserve to be dealt with the chainsaw.

I've just been reading the last few posts and it's been giving me flashbacks to my own time playing Dead Money with Courier. God, that DLC is absolutely brutal, well done Blondie for surviving it!

These are holograms in the picture, luckily they weren't hostile, because security guards holograms are hostile and can't be killed directly, you have to disable their (very hidden) emitters.

Gold bars are very heavy, she managed to take four, though. It's impossible to take them all unless cheating or exploiting a glitch.

The grandpa may be old but he is deadly, he wields a powerful rifle. It's possible to escape him without fighting but Blondie couldn't let him go.

All Blondie's screenshots are gone...for now. As I said in the other thread, my disk suffered a fatal failure and almost all data was lost. There's a slim chance that my friend who is really good with computers will manage to restore the data and I'll get my screenies back, but I better be prepared for the worst. The good thing is that I managed to save her save files so her game will be playable once I reinstall FNV and apply correct mods. But still, more than 800 screenies lost... Lesson learned, I'll start uploading them to some site like Photobucket.

But if at least her game is safe then I´d say you´re in the clear. Losing screenies is one thing, but losing the savegames and it´s literally game over.

I highly recommend imgur.com for your pixies. tmar´s had some issues with them it seems as of late but I haven´t, and it doesn´t have adds everywhere like photobucket has. But ultimately it´s your call, of course

Yeah, if I lost her savegames, that'd be a real shame. And even bigger shame would be if my laptop wouldn't work at all. But I guess that this is in human nature - we always find something to be sorry for, and we don't even think about how much worse things could happen to us.

I was going to say this too. Why not just upload them to the site you've been using?

Photobucket is good for full screenies (like I post in my stories) but imgur and shanri.se are better for linked pics. The problem with PB is when you click on a link, you have to wait until a bunch of crappy ads also get conjured up.

Shrani.si is great for uploading pics but it doesn't allow any albums customization. Today I tried both PB and imgur, I like imgur more, abecause PB has a plenty of annoying adds, as you say, and albums are easy to customize on imgur. So right now I have my pics stored on both imgur and Shrani.

I had Fallout 3 on the 360, my puppy BooBoo broke it by accident. It is tied with Oblivion for my favorite game of all time. This is my first time playing it on the PC though. I've already made a mod for it, an upgrade to the Megaton house.

Boone is still alive and well. OTOH Jeannie May's headless corpse is decorating the highway out in front of the big dino. Boone gives you the beret as a reward for finishing his quest.

Congrats on getting the PC versions of the games. I suspect that the computer version of FONV is a lot more stable than the original versions that first came out on the console. I have not modded either game nearly as much as I did Oblivion or Skyrim, but the Nexus still has a lot of good mods. As I mentioned earlier, MCM is now out for FONV (and I imagine FO3 perhaps too), so that is a good one to start with. I wound up making simplified ammo crafting mods for both games, which I find make them much more friendly to play.

Just kidding, it has been so long since I played that quest in New Vegas that I forgot he would give you his beret without dying first.

I haven't played the PC version of New Vegas yet, but I did load up Fallout 3 on the PC and play on it for a while - had to force myself back to Skyrim to finish up that modding class project, lol.

I loved New Vegas, so really hope it is more stable than the 360 version was, I haven't been able to even reach the big battle at the Hoover Dam yet on the 360 because it kept crashing with game ending issues.

Most of the issues I have had with FONV have not been game-breakers. Usually it is just weird things like the radscorpions running around standing on their heads, or being 3/4 underground, so only their stingers can be seen (like periscopes). The one time I did have a truly game killing bug was with the quest involving the vault that is overgrown with killer plants. But I was able to use the console to get around that (one thing I love about the PC!).

Ooh, is that the unique fireman's axe? I always went in there for the axe and some other unique explosive in a bunker there - but I hated that whole Searchlight area, all those ghoul Rangers freaked me out, lol. I must have died 100 times in that sector, and not just from the outrageously high radiation there, lol.

mALX: That is the unique Fireman's Axe - Knock-Knock. I missed it the first time around. I had to go back to get it! I didn't like Searchlight either. The ghouls didn't bother me, because they were out in the open, and it wasn't that dark. The FO3 ghouls are the ones that really creep me out, because they are always inside, in tight, dark areas where you cannot see them coming. But you can hear them snarling, and their feet rushing at you in the darkness.

I use Fellout, so Searchlight didn't look all green. But the lighting is still weird. And that radiation was nuts! Even at 85% rad resistance I was going through Rad-Away like crazy, and making trips back to Doc Ada in Novac to get my radiation cured.


Lopov: I think I liked the space suit and recon beret best together, because they are both red. I love the fireman's helmet though. I just wish there was a fireman's coat to go with the helmet and axe. That would make a neat outfit.

I love her revenge on Bugsy Benny! Her outfit is in place and she even brought a special revolver to the party. Looks like Benny was quite surprised to be shot in his head, judging by the expression on his face. It's like "Dude, relax now. You just shot me in my head."

Me too. At first I thought it said "Benny Hill crippled" instead of Benny Head. The final pic makes me glad to be a vegetarian.

I don't know, but was wondering - can't you open it up in the CK and either drop another copy of it in a place you can go, or just move the original from the Regulators to somewhere you do have access to?

(And why can't you get into Talon HQ? There is a gap in the fence along the side fence to the right of the main gate entrance that brings you in behind that rotunda type building - no one can see you there, not even that dog. It is safe.

From there it is an easy sneak along that side fence to the tent with the tunnel access into the HQ sub-ground level; time your movement from the rotunda building with the dog's patrol going toward the main gate and you won't even have to kill him.

If it is in one of those two buildings in the back, it is easy to walk to the rear fence and drop down, enter the buildings. You'll have to leave by sneaking along that same side fence to the gap.

I actually love taking on that Talon HQ; it is tough but a blast to do - and takes at least 3 trips back and forth to carry all the loot out! Can't beat that place for a great haul when you are trying to build up your finances.

I believe it is because the people who make those mods are assholes.

I didn't understand why the guy added it to a place where you can only reach it by "wasting" a perk on it. I have never taken that perk, have no desire to. Not sure why he didn't add it to an alternate place that wasn't perk related - but if I wanted the gun I probably would have just gone into the CK and moved it.

But that said, when you said not to put it into Talon HQ - had to say something, since it is a neutral spot regardless how you play. I think if a player wants a unique item they should be willing to go through a little bit to get it, or pay out in bottlecaps for it - but of the two I would prefer the adventure to the spending of caps.
