Some of the other females on base had some unkind words to say about Ranger Starbuck behind her back, but I liked her real well!

Oh yeah, walking right in might not be the way to go, lol. I always sneaked around and entered under cover to assess the situation before alerting the Legion to my presence, lol.

In other parts of the country where you come across these crucifixions you have been able to rescue them and release them, so I was really surprised not to have that option here; and felt helpless not able to free them but not able or willing to kill them either. It left me with a desire to revenge the men's suffering when I met Caesar later, so I was really surprised when I found myself liking him and his people at that camp - found it hard to kill them all, but had to do it in the end - which is one of the things that was so great about New Vegas, the depth of feelings it can evoke and in the choices you have to make. Even their villains are gray, and can be likeable even when you know you have to end their reign.

Acadian: I have a new couple of new night sky mods, and could not resist showing them off in those pics.

Those are two statues shaking hands. They represent the NCR Rangers (New California Republic) unification with the Nevada Rangers. I love how they look, so was looking for an excuse to get some pictures. The white cowgirl Persephone is talking to is Lieutenant Kara Thrace "Starbuck" Ranger Ghost. She's a Ranger sniper, and has a quest mission for you.

Nipton is most people's first meeting with The Imperial Caesar's Legion. My characters tend to go all Teutoburg moments later...


mALX: I have modded the weather and lighting to get rid of the orange tint (just like I did with FO3 to get rid of the green tint), so it is nice to see actual blue skies in New Vegas.

I didn't realize people trash talked Ranger Starbuck. I guess I never got those dialogue prompts. I looked her up on the wikia, and found the quotes though.

I cannot say I ever felt any sort of warm or kind feelings for Caesar or his Legionaries with any characters. But then, I can be a pretty cold-hearted bitch too. Persephone has five feet of steel to give to every Legionary she comes across.

I found an Incendiary Grenade somewhere earlier in the game. I forget where. I was saving it for something special. Vulpes Inculata turned out to be quite special indeed! It killed half of the Legionaries, and left the others really weak. After tossing it, Persephone ran behind a building to get away from the gunfire, and just waited for them to come around the corner. She killed all of them with only one or two chops from her Zweihander. It was the easiest time I have ever hand in Nipton. She never broke a sweat, and barely took any damage at all.

No, Deeno blowed up the first car thinking that the Behemoth is standing next to it but he was too far. However, he was more lucky with the 2nd car which exploded right with the beast standing next to it. Afterwards only a few headshots were necessary to kill it.

No I'm joking! Being undead, she cannot eat or drink anything. Or sleep. I am finding this makes New Vegas very difficult, as stimpacks (the only other way to heal) are much more rare than they are in Fallout 3.

I think you have been stuck in TESland too much. You need to come out and play in the Wasteland for a bit. I promise it is blond sniper friendly.


mALX: Persephone does slug it out with Cazadors with nothing but her sword. She has a big advantage though. Being undead, she is immune to poison. Not that usually hit her much. I am getting pretty good using the reach of her sword to kill most critters before they can get close enough to attack themselves.

That is Persephone with the sword in that pic with the Securitron. Well, the robot did get it in the end. Or in the point...

Persephone is still in good standing with the NCR. She routed the power from Helios One evenly to the entire region, which does not get them mad, though you don't get NCR fame either.


Lopov: You are right, the glowing table in Helios One doesn't do anything. It looks like it should though. A lot of things obviously got cut from New Vegas before it was released. I wonder if that is something that just never got implemented?

Persephone is old-fashioned. She's not the type to bother with an orbital death weapon when she has six feet of sharp steel in her hands.

Deeno will be my first character to blow up Megaton, which probably makes him my most evil Fallout character, not counting "Mad" Nathaniel from the Mojave who killed on sight. However, in Deeno's case it's not about that he enjoys killing, he's interested in caps, lots of caps.

I've been meaning to say what a nice job you did with Deeno. He really looks great. I imagine he's a very cool character to play.

This is really interesting, you have me riveted to Deeno's story with this turn here! I have never actually seen anyone go through with this, get pictures of the blast please! And Moira staggering through the dust cloud, lol.

First off, I love the screen with Burke, that is a really great shot and captures some real expressions and the feeling that the two are cooking up something between them.

Then the one with Nova and the story with the screen - amazing how he knows she is turning her last 100 dollar trick and doesn't try to save her - this is huge! He has to be the most evil character I've ever seen in all the various screens posted since the game came out!

Holy Crap! OH! And I saw a vid on Youtube where Daddy James talks to the Lone Wanderer after they have blown up Megaton, and boy is he mad at his child !!!

For a moment I thought rigging the sleeping beast might have something to do with Nova!

Wow. I have never had a character who blew up Megaton. That is really cold. Deeno is a bad, bad man.

I know, right? I'm stunned by this turn of events!

mALX: Well, it's a pretty good sword. The original version was way overpowered. I reduced the stats so it is the same as The Blade of the East, but without the extra poison damage over 10 seconds the BOE does. By now Persephone also has the good melee perks, like Purifier, Piercing Strike, Unstoppable Force, the knockdown one, Stonewall, etc... So she is a beast in melee, especially against abominations.

Lopov: I have Ultimate Invisible Wall Remover, which makes it a lot easier to move around in the Mojave. That might be why Persephone was able to get such a high vantage point over Boulder.

Persephone cut Alexander's everything out. His bodyguard went hostile a moment later, so she had to kill him too. But the rest of the people at the 188 didn't bat an eyelash. Persephone finally reached Vegas last night, and the Gunrunner's Kiosk will still sell to her, in spite of her killing one of their people.

The quarry was a tough fight. I used a lot of stealth boys, and had to get sneak attacks on most of them to avoid the Deathclaws swarming.

Believe it or not, Deeno didn't intend to kill Silver, he only told her "to calm down else he'll put her down" but she got aggressive. In the end it was worth it (in Deeno's eyes) because she had 400 caps on her body which she stole from Moriarty in Megaton.

This is my favorite shot of all! Persephone looks Awesome in Benny's jacket!

That fight was something else! I was always afraid that if you didn't kill Benny quick that his henchmen would join in the melee; but I've always wanted to give him a good pummeling instead of the poetic bullet to the brain.

I always loved that first step into NV, and think it was brilliant of them to make it hard to enter so you really felt the importance of getting past those barriers. Seeing Persephone walking past "The Kings" brought back that feeling, as did seeing the thug by the dumpsters remind me of my first Vegas mugging, lol.

Snake Eyes is right, I never realized his eyes were amber before, and I don't know how you got them to slant so well with that cocked brow - most def snaky!

He is really great looking in the shot in the Tenpenny Lobby, that is my favorite shot of the bunch because I know exactly what that guard is saying to him and it makes me wonder what Deeno is saying back, lol.

You got some great shots of him in this, he has a hugely interesting face and facial expressions; you did an awesome job in his creation! And in his personality too, he is way out of the norm, and nothing wrong with that!

I have killed Silver a few times after she attacked me, but didn't know you could get the 400 after she died - probably didn't remember it. But I've always gotten the 400 from her, and Moriarty never got it because I always nab it as soon as I leave the vault, I mean she practically tells you to take it from her if you say the right things (or attacks and gets killed if you say the wrong thing, lol).


Great shots, though it is sad to see the poor scavenger bite it. Do you get a good take of loot each time he/she respawns?

Thanks, his eyes are from this mod, while his face (and any other male face in the game) is tweaked by this mod. Speaking of brows - whenever I want to make a character with a serious/tough face, I lower the inner part of brows and raise the outer part to create "the arc" which makes them look serious.

He usually finds between 100-200 caps on their bodies, so far he killed only two, though.

Tenpenny looks like one of those lawn jockeys who got old! It has been so long since one of my characters has actually seen him, I forgot what he looks like.

Looks like Tenpenny is a wonderful judge of character!

Megaton finally lived up to its name. It made for quite the light show however! I love that last shot the best, with the moon bearing mute witness to the destruction below.

So did Deeno do Moira's Wasteland Survival quest before nuking Megaton? Or is he still going to try to do it now? I hear she relocates to Underworld.

Wow, she actually survives the blast? I didn't know this. He hasn't started her quest yet.

She read that she turns into a ghoul after the nuking. I think you can still do her quest though.

Holy cow, that explosion was huge! And nuclear! These are the first screens I've ever seen of it, (but I did see a Youtube vid a long time ago, the guy that made it fast traveled over there and saw Moira coming out of the mists, it was hilarious that she was the only survivor when a lot of people probably blew it up just to silence her, lol.

It is surprising how small those overpasses and bridges look from up there! Great shots! Is Deeno going to hop on by to get an up close view of the damage? If so, screens please, lol.

Nuking Megaton rewarded Deeno not just with the suite with the balcony but also with the most quality pajama and one of the nicest views of the Capital Wasteland.

The young merc was now a high roller and as such he dressed like one.

He met Susan, the local escort of Tenpenny Tower...

...and spent some time in the lounge listening to old grump like Johnny Hawthorne or slightly less grumpy Herbert "Daring" Dashwood.

Deeno also found out that he and Tenpenny share the same passion - sniping.

Deeno is stylin' in his PJs. Hugh Hefner wishes he had it so good! But Deeno probably killed him already.

That is some view. But then again, in the Wasteland, how much do you really want to see?

Deeno is Mr. Big Shot now! Hobnobbing with the high class dames and everything!

Agreed 100% !!! What I loved about this is how they thought of allowing us to do this just in case we might want to (like allowing us to blow up the Citadel in Broken Steel); and that they didn't just have Moira survive it, but turned her into a ghoul - you can't find that kind of thinking ahead just anywhere, it is what made Bethesda the best game developers back when they made this game. All the choices with all the different consequences really made their games back then; and was one of the main reasons I fell so in love with their games, lol.

New Vegas gave a lot of choices too, but kind of like in a pressure cooker; because you most def felt the difference in your choices in NV, but usually through who was shooting at your backside, lol.

I liked the choices in FO3 better, because they were geared more for fun (although they also had different factions shooting at your butt depending on your choices, just not as many different factions doing it, lol).

I could never look sweet Bessie in the face and kill her, so I always just crept in with a missile launcher and blew up the whole room while they were sleeping - got all the bad Karma in one hit that way, lol. (same way I always get Smiling Jack in Evergreen Mills, can't stand to kill someone who is nice to me, so had to do it before they can get a chance to be nice, lol)

I don't know how Deeno can think of breakfast and lunch while killing ghouls, urk!

Of course my favorite is relaxing with Tenpenny after it is all over, that is an Awesome screen !!! It really looks like they are discussing Deeno's latest "favor" for Tenpenny here!



One thing I have always wondered about living in that suite (because I never have lived in it, always got the Megaton house - and even since I've learned how to access it a few playthroughs ago, I've only just used it as a stop off place) - I've always wondered whether if you kill Tenpenny while living there, would the entire tower residents become hostile to you?

And would Tenpenny's guards follow you into your suite to attack you for killing Tenpenny? (so you couldn't go home for a while)? And if so, how long before you can go home again?

And what happens if they do go hostile on you and you kill them all, do the guards respawn and keep trying to kill you?

There is a quest to kill Tenpenny, which is why I wondered that. (actually, I've never killed Tenpenny for that quest, but I've seen enough vids of Tenpenny getting blown up or shot off the balcony to know some people do; and wondered what Deeno would face if he did).

It could be like killing Moriarity in Megaton, where the town initially goes hostile, but if you lie low for 3 days the cell resets and everyone goes back to treating you normal.

Deeno back hard at work sniping ghouls. So it seems he's basing out of Tenpenny for a time in between missions?

Can you lay low in your house or will they come in to kill you in there so you have to leave town? I mean, I don't plan to kill anyone in my game, just ... curious about what happens if you live there and if they can follow you into your home to attack you for it.

The reason I wondered is because that ghoul from the "You gotta shoot 'em in the head" quest does come into your home after you, and so do those two BOS random guys that you help and they later mark you for death for some reason.
