@Acadian - crisp colors are thanks to the Enhanced Skies mod which doesn't change just skies but the general look (and feel) of the wasteland. Eulogy is the leader slavers in the Capital Wasteland and is considered as one of the most evil men around. He's definitely more sophisticated than Rattler, though.

@SubRosa - oh you mean that those people could help Bumble? These events happened much later than Bumble's abduction but since you asked, I couldn't resist posting the pic now.

@Winter Wolf - I did some 'tweaking' because by default Bumble can only be enslaved if you visit Little Lamplight and since that happens only during the MQ, I moved Rattler inside LL with the console, then teleported him out, and there was an option to enslave Bumble, when talking to Eulogy.

@Acadian - every beast has an off day from time to time. I'm glad you like his red bandana - for such a dirty man as Rattler wearing something bright is handy so I can see him better in the dark.

@mALX - the climbing animations were accomplished thanks to some vanilla animations from the Operation Anchorage DLC. I was also surprised when Rattler got gifts from slavers but Beth did a nice job here - whether you're good or bad, someone's going to like you.

It's been a while since I posted some Blondie screenies so today we'll skip Rattler and move to the Mojave for a change. In case someone forgot, Blondie is a courier turned bounty hunter in the Mojave Wasteland. Despite killing Marko, her arch-nemesis, and ending an important chapter in her life, Blondie is still active in the bounty hunting profession. These days she spends most of her time taking it easy in her house in Novac (featured in another thread) but occasionally she departs on an adventure.

The following screenis were taken in November 2015, shortly after Blondie returned from Utah where she dealt with Marko. Her bounty was a scientist named Quisling that betrayed the New California Republic and began working for their opposing faction - the Caesar's Legion.

Did Blondie position the bumper sword on the lab equipment, or did it just happen to fall there?

In New Vegas Bounties there's often an option to taunt your opponents which either boosts their damage resistance or spawns additional enemies (in this case mongrels spawned along Marcus). Such options always include a lot of swearing, but Blondie doesn't have any problems with that.

The sword fell on the equipment and stayed there when she knocked Marcos down for the first time. When he rose again, he attacked Blondie with his bare hands.

If you're into an interesting mod that features a questline with several twists and don't mind profanity and violence, you will like New Vegas Bounties trilogy. Personally, I find it much better than vanilla quests.

thanks mALX and others who commented on Major A. Holl. I must say, now that I'm playing Fallout 3 on PC I can really appreciate all the effort it takes to get the "action" shots. For some reason, because I like playing with a controller instead of mouse + keys, I can't take screenies unless I either (1) use Fraps's screenshot feature, or (2) disable my controller. Because I can't use console commands at all while the controller is on. Oddly, in Oblivion or Skyrim, this is not a problem. Only Fallout 3.

I had that problem with my old PC and Oblivion, and had to use the "Ring of Console" to access the console too.

That is weird that the console does not work with the game controller. But not something I ever would have come across since I don't use a controller.

The language Blondie is using in her taunt is Latin. Caesar's Legion uses it a lot. Because of the whole Caesar thing and all...

You don't have to know what a language is, just Google the word "translate" in front of the phrase and Google will find the language and translate it for you in one swoop.

@Winter Wolf - indeed I prefer melee / unarmed to using any kind of guns though Blondie most of the time relies on her energy gun. With a bunch of VATS-specific moves melee / unarmed fights are even more interesting than in FO3.

@Renee - as SubRosa says, the language is Latin. Back when I was still in primary school, Latin was an obligatory language to learn for two years so I still remember some of it. Now it's no longer a must to learn. Most of us boys knew all combinations of Latin swear words too.

@mALX - relieving? No, she's just in the default sneak pose. That Legionnaire indeed killed some of his own dogs.

@Winter Wolf - a combat shotgun in Rattler's hands is indeed a recipe for disaster. Though he relies on Pretty Woman most of the time, he occasionally switches to his shotgun, especially when dealing with high-leveled muties.

@Acadian - I'm glad you like Blondie's ponytail, I wonder why? She likes to change her hairstyle, though, so she no longer has a ponytail, instead she has a more "wastelandish" haircut. You'll see it soon.

@Renee - ghastly is the appropriate word to describe folks of Paradise Falls. Even the name Paradise Falls sounds so wrong when one knows it's in fact a den of slavers.

@SubRosa - Talon guys are there thanks to some mod but they're friendly to Rattler even outside Paradise Falls.

Gosh, sentry bots are the most difficult enemy for Ally. She doesn't carry any pulse grenades nor is she experienced with energy weapons so her double-barreled shotgun didn't do any real damage to the bot. Luckily, she had a few frag grenades, but in the end she destroyed the bot with her knife by running around the pillar, confusing the bot and hacking it from behind.

The Mysterious Stranger perk occasionally makes a deadly friend appear in V.A.T.S. only and he always kills the enemy you've been targeting - as long as you don't kill it yourself before.

Rattler dies in the toxic waste. Sometimes irony can be pretty ironic at times!

Slavers vs slaver. Too bad we couldn't call in an air strike on 'em all! Rattler and his Pretty Woman put up a good fight though and he certainly has had a pretty long and impactful run of things. So long, Snake.

Ally didn't like the atmosphere of Tenpenny Tower and instead decided to spend the night outside.

The following noon she made it to Castle Dunwich.

Fortunately, all ghouls that she had killed on her first visit, were still dead, and she merely needed to press the book against the cursed obelisk to destroy it for good.

On her way back she put some spare frag mines to good use.

And punished those that violated the morning curfew.

For some it was good morning, for Ally it was boob morning.

In early afternoon she returned to Duchess Gambit.

They departed and after three days* they were back in Point Lookout, with Nadine's mother Catherine also on board.

*-I use a mod that reduces the travel time from 30 days to anything between 3-5 days.

* check out A. Holl's new armor. It's supposed to look like something the Marines would wear, according to the mod author. There's supposed to be camouflage patterns on this armor, but these patterns tend to come and go, for some reason. I'll get a better pic at some point!

I had this issue with custom armor and clothes too, they change appearance depending on the lightning.
