@SubRosa - that was Lee's first visit to the Quarry Junction. When he went there the 2nd time, he killed the mother deathclaw in melee combat but didn't dare to attack the alpha male so he killed it with Fat Man. But I'll show those pics some time later.

@Acadian - Lee occasionaly makes his own weapons, most notably shuriken(s) and kunai(s). His favorite throwing weapon is a retrievable throwing tomahawk as will be seen today. By default it's not retrievable but with mods it is.

@Renee - I like pausing the game and taking shots from various angles. So far the only battle where I didn't dare to pause the game was when he was fighting the mother deahtclaw.

Deathclaws not only look more dangerous in the Mojave, they are much more dangerous than in the Capital Wasteland as well.

In the next set of screenies Lee Cyeng will drive a motorcycle, looks like word of Floozy Janet Talia and her bike came to the Mojave and people began repairing pre-war motorcycles.

How many ways can Lee put the hurt on a deathclaw?

Love his tomahawk looks like he is having a bloody good time with it. I remember having a magical throwing axe in Baldur's Gate II that would return to your hand after hitting its target.

Acadian: Guns are not her go to weapon, but sometimes they come in handy. Like against fire-breathing geckos. It's also a nod to her family history. Her brother Oda cemented his rule over Japan by defeating the Takeda clan at Nagashino with arquebuses.


Renee: Face Off was not a pic I set up. It is from VATS. I often turn off the UI when VATS starts and take a bunch of screenshots, in the hopes that a few turn out decent.


Lopov: It wasn't Nopah. It was a small cave somewhere around Coyote Mines and Ranger Station Echo. It had a bunch of Fire Geckos in it.

Wow, Hidetaka is quite multitalented – bullfighter, space cowboy, extremity surgeon, exterminator, ninja and head removal specialist!

That space outfit is so silly! Made me chuckle. The samurai hat she's got in in the first pic is really special for her game. I love finding just the right outfits for some characters.

Lee really is getting good with various types of unusual combat. Wow, even a tomahawk! My brother once found a tomahawk (a real one, made by some indian) when we were kids. Our family moved into an area which hadn't been heavily developed, and it had lots of woods behind it. The tomahawk was just stuck in a clutch of grass or something. Its 'blade' was made of some sort of toughened hide, we think. And its haft was carved wood. It had a couple straps holding the 'blade' part to the haft. No metal pieces. No screws or modern fixtures. It was also painted in a real intricate way.

Dang, wish we still had it. I wonder if he still has it. Anyways... bad-ass pics today from Lee!

The space suit not only made her more rad-resistant, it also cut her hair temporarily. But she looks good with short hair too.

Hidetaka's game sort of ran out of steam after killing Benny. So I think that is the end of her run in New Vegas, at least for now.

@Acadian - the motorbike comes in handy when I'm getting slightly bored of walking everywhere. I significantly decreased its speed, though, so it still takes quite some time to travel between places.

@SubRosa - the uppercut can only be performed with VATS, outside of it Lee performs a straight in the face punch.

Hidetaka is after Ulysses. I assume her game won't be continued right now but it'd be cool to see here sword against marked men and tunnelers.

More wonderful shots of Lee in action. I know what you mean about the motorbike speed. I generally have Buffy’s horse (Superian) tweaked/buffed for a high speed, then have the mare walk most places instead of run – a brisk walk works perfectly. Love your closing 'reverse Lopov' shot!

@Acadian - pics taken at night I bright up with Microsoft office tool else they'd be too dark. In a way this brightening makes lights of New Vegas even better as they look in the game.

@SubRosa - that is the mod-added motel of Corn Creek but it uses the same exterior structure as El-Rey and Novac motel.

@Renee - his fist is many things - a toaster, a radiator but most of all a deadly tool to be hit with. He can drive over enemies but doesn't gain any XP for doing so he prefers to knock them down, then finish them off on foot.

@SubRosa - I thought that deathclaws around the Gypsum trainyard respawn but only two or three respawn. Since those at the Quarry Junction don't respawn either, that makes the Dead Wind Cavern and the promontory the only other places where deathclaws respawn.

@Renee - he indeed enjoys killing deathclaws though he does it in VATS 95% of the time otherwise the deathclaw's leaping attack can prevent you from performing a power attack on them. In VATS though, you can execute the PA much easier, decapitating even at impossible angles as SubRosa noticed.

@SubRosa - lakelurks are sometimes even more dangerous than deathclaws because their sonic attacks that ignore DR/DT can harm you from large distances, and they miss very rarely.

After a lot of tinkering with mods to make everything work as properly as possible, I returned to a character that I was mostly active with in November & December 2016. I think most of you will remember her.

Her name is Red Orchid and to apologize for being absent for almost a year, she decided to wear something sexy...

Like so many before her, she was shot in the head yet survived thanks to Doc Mitchell.

Double-crossed by Benny she departed on a lengthy journey to New Vegas, getting attraction wherever she walked or stood.

Lucky quickly became her favorite weapon and she's been using it ever since she found it in hard-locked safe in Primm.

She used many men to her advantage to gain entrance to the Strip.

Reunited with Benny, she realized that he was a too good lover to waste.

She traveled all the way to the Fort to save his life, causing an excitement among the legionnaires.

They escaped from the Fort and teamed up once again to take over the Lucky 38 with Red Orchid in charge and Benny with no choice but to obey. On one of their business trips they visited the Diner of Loviatar.

Unscrupulous, Red Orchid dealt with possible competition and factions that could oppose her.

After removing the last obstacle she took over the Lucky 38 and reopened it for public.

One year later her casino is visited by many customers from all over the wastes and Protectron dealers gladly serve them, telling them "Move along, please" as they exhaust all their caps. Some people, though, come not to gamble but to see what would Red Orchid wear, she became quite a fashion hit on the Strip.

Drinks and chems are served by Mr. Bartender(s) and all major actions are supervised by Red Orchid in the control room.

The PC in her suite allows for a more remote control when she doesn't feel like dealing with crowds.

"That's all...for now."

I remember Red's greatest hits. But I forgot about Loviatar's bathtub!

The ones of Red and her non-namesake green dress look new to me. It is great to see the Lucky 38 back in business after so many centuries of collecting dust.

Ohm okay. So hold on. If Benny double-crossed her, why on Earth would RO want him back? He just looks like a sleazball.

I love those shots of her at her computer. And it's a good thing she's got robots to help her run the place, my gosh look how huge those utility rooms are!

@SubRosa - those pic where she doesn't have the PipBoy on her left wrist, are all new, so you're right about the one in the green kimono being a new pic. I installed Readius in Lee's game a while ago and now Red Orchid uses it too becuase uninstalling it isn't that easy when switching between games.

@Renee - how good you're at cards in FNV depends mostly on your luck skill, so the higher it is, the better chances you have at any game. Which is good IMO, because it reflects the skill of your character instead of me as the player. Now why she spared Benny:

1. He was a too good lover to waste.

2. She figured that his knowledge of the Strip would help her on "the way to the top".

3. It's useful to have someone to watch over he in the desert, Red Orchid isn't a very combat-oriented character.

4. Chances are that when Red Orchid gets bored of him, he'll be removed.

Red Orchid is doing just as much exploiting as Benny did, so at least it's a two-way street there, by the sound of it. Weinstein is just pure sleaze, and they got him on tape basically admitting to it.

But they need to leave off of Kevin Spacey, goshdarnit! Totally different scenario. Kevin did some stupid things when he was younger but he wasn't actively still going around trying to corner his subjects. Trying to belittle them if they didn't do what they want! I mean, they're delaying the continuation of House of Cards, which isn't one of my favorites, but the point is--

I paid attention to her dialogue with Mortimer, though, and he says that the human meat will never be served to ordinary customers but just to the members of the White Glove Society.

There are indeed some similarities between Jessica and the Red Orchid but because I wasn't that familiar with the cartoon character, she couldn't serve as an inspiration. No, the inspiration as usual in my case, comes from Italian comic books - there's a comic entitled L'orchidea rossa (The red orchid), which means a potent sleeping perfume which a pretty seductress uses to incapacitate her victims, then rob them.

For those not familiar with New Vegas, don't feel too sorry for the Great Khans, they are a tribe that deals with drugs and participates in various merc jobs that also involve assassinations. I think Obsidian ran out of time and never fully fleshed out the Khans, else they might be a more interesting faction.
