Phon, I loved these screenies! Especially Arrival and Descent. And of course that winsome smile in the Chapel!
While I wouldn't play the game with those settings, I enjoy the painterly effect they give the screenies. It's an awful lot like the Painted World - I keep searching the underbrush for those pesky painted trolls! These "paintings" -- if you will -- make me think of Van Gogh and Gaugin, two of my favorite artists. They're not everyone's cup of tea, but then, art never pleases everybody. But art sure adds a lot to what are too often otherwise dull lives.
The lighting in Future Abode reminds me of the light in the Southwest - Santa Fe and Taos, more specifically. It's strong, unfiltered, and harsh. Everything is thrown into stark contrast between light and dark. I love that! But I almost have to put on my sunglasses to look at it!

Thank you, that's very nice of you to say.

It is in fact a kind of painterly-dreamy effect I'm going for; slightly other-wordly and a bit off kilter in some ways. Nirn is not earth and I don't believe it should look entirely like it, also I look at it like I'm looking through something to Eilidh in her world and so maybe there are visual artefacts in that.
But indeed, I know that it's not for everyone, and perhaps a little eye-watering in some cases, but it's how envision it, myself.
Actually my fave out of those screenies I think is "Mucky Day at the Docks"
